The Hotel Luabay Costa Adeje has a location that’s a cut above the rest. The property is less than a five-minute walk from Torviscas Beach, and the restaurants and bars at the Puerto Colon harbour are just a bit further on. Popular Playa de Las Americas, meanwhile, is about a five-minute cab ride away.
The hotel underwent a makeover a couple of years ago, so everything is really fresh and modern. Take the rooms, for example. Walls are painted in neutral tones and offset by smart wooden furnishings, and extras come in the form of funky headboards and chic glass balconies.
Outside, things look just as chic. Two swimming pools take centre-stage in a terrace that’s dotted with loungers and umbrellas. Best of all, the whole area offers up sweeping sea views. Come evening, this is a great place to head with a cocktail – look out for cosy little seating spots framed by white muslin.

Wonderful hotel, didn't want to come home
My mum has asked to write this review on her behalf. They went 20/2/14 for a week. The hotel was spotlessly clean, very good choice of food and the entertainment was spot on. There was always plenty of sun beds too. My mums partner is disabled and uses a wheel chair the hotel, was disabled friendly and would definitely recommend this hotel for,any disabled person wanting a relaxing holiday. Would we go back? We have already booked for next year... She says she is usually ready to come home after a week but this time didn't want to come home.More
I was a little worried about some of the reviews I read about the hotel but I really didn't need to worry. The hotel is lovely, all the staff are very obliging and friendly. The food was very nice and always lots of choice, it was never cold like some reviews said. Everything is spotlessly clean and well looked after. It is a little difficult with the sunbeds as people were reserving them with their towels from 6 in the morning. The only thing that I wished I had done was to take some English tea bags and coffee as I was a complete fuss pot and didn't like theirs but no one else complained about it. Drinks in the dining room were water, pop, lager or wine only but all was drinkable.More

Put this on your must visit list
Just home from 12 days at the Luabay and I can't praise it enough. An impressive façade leads you into a large open plan ground floor with a central atrium around which is a large Reception area, Reps area, armchairs and settees for when you want to relax inside, a bar and the stage area for the evening entertainment. On the first floor is a large dining area where a wide selection of good quality, well cooked food is available for every meal. The rooms are bright and airy with good sized beds, spacious shower room and a nice balcony. Unusually in the current economic climate this hotel is well staffed with staff who are pleasant and very obliging and responsive to guests requirements. Outside there are three sun terraces, each with a pool (one of which is heated at this time of year) and bars . Overall this hotel is better than others we have visited which had higher ratings. My wife has already compiled a list of things she wants to do when (not if) we go back.More

Great holiday but buy some more sunloungers
We have just returned from our second visit to the Luabay in 3 months. Great staff, food and accommodation. Had a really good time. The only down side is the lack of sun loungers. In November there were far more and this time we had to resort to the towel on the sun lounger early to get one which we object to doing. We estimate they are down by about 80 odd loungers and it was our third day before we managed to get one. Looking at booking again for November, just hope they get the above problem sorted and then it would be perfect. Anyone going make sure you see Johnny Circus when on at the hotel - he is brilliant!More

Big Improvement..but lack of sun loungers
We were there in January last year, fair to say nothing was good about it, however after reading the latest reviews decided to return, Everything was spot on, huge improvement in the dinning room, regards staff and quality of food. Everyone at the hotel had the same issue, no enough sun loungers for the number of people in the hotel. Your towel had to be down before 8.00 to get a lounger, before 7.30 to have one at the pool!! Really not good enough, as there is bags of space to accommodate another 150, that is how many is needed.More
