This hotel has got the lot. A trio of pools ticks off rooftop and garden numbers, while the restaurants include a buffet place and an à la carte. The location aims high, too - it sits in a high-end postcode that comes with a beach.
Sitting in an upmarket corner of Tenerife, the Fanabe Costa Sur Hotel looks out over the sparkling sapphire seas. In fact, you’re just a short stroll down a steep slope from the honey-coloured sands of both Playa Fanabe and Playa del Duque. And there’s a sprinkling of shops, bars and restaurants even closer.
It’s not a big brash resort though. Far from it. Here, you’re at the heart of a restful residential area, where most of the 5 star hotels on the island congregate. From the moment you set eyes on the Fanabe though, you probably won’t want to venture far. Sat in gorgeous green grounds, you’re most definitely in for a treat here. You’ll know you’re onto a good thing as soon as you step into the lobby. Light, luminous and lavish, it’s a chic affair all round. We’re talking glossy marble floors. Oh-so inviting sofas. And floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook one of the eye-catching pool areas.
Talking of which, you’re totally spoilt for choice in the swimming stakes. With three pools to choose from, you’ll have to do the rounds before you decide on a favourite. If it’s jaw-dropping views you want, head for the roof terrace where two of the plunge pools live. Or for a truly tropical setting, there's the main pool sitting in the grounds, surrounded by exotic plants and swishing palms. Rather keep active? No problem. Keep up with your exercise routine at the fully equipped gym, which also offers aerobics lessons and massages. Join in the fun and games with the entertainment team. Or choose from an exhaustive list of sports that includes minigolf, tennis and football. However you work up an appetite, when you’re ready to eat the buffet restaurant offers up international favourites, with on-the-spot cooking stations a mainstay. There's also an a la carte lunchtime eatery by the pool, and you can tuck in to sandwiches at the lobby bar.

Had a fantastic Xmas - New Year Winter Break. The hotel offers good value for money. Stayed all inclusive, and the food was varied and good quality, entertainment was good. Celebration Dinner on both Xmas and New Year was traditional and with a great atmosphere. The hotel is ideally placed, to near to nightlife, but not affected by excessive noise, pleasant walk into Puerto Colom.More

Lovely hotel and great staff
Our room was on the left hand side of the hotel (not overlooking the pool) but with a sea view (small). We liked the room, but if we went there again I would try and get a pool view room) loud music until 11pm from next door hotel (not ideal for children going to bed about 10pm ages 7 and 9). Loved the breakfast, so much choice and quantity. (We had b&b accommodation not full board because we like to explore and eat at various restaurants). The cleaners did an amazing job in the rooms and generally around the hotel, and were friendly too :) Really liked the fact that you couldn't reserve sun loungers around the pool, much better for everyone, and fairer too. The hotel shop was well stocked and not too expensive. Approx. 10 minute walk to the sea front (downhill), wouldn't want to be much further away, personally. I can't say weather it was value for money as another family member paid. More

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel stayed for 12 nights all inclusive! Breakfast pancakes were tasty in the mornings a hit with the kids! Little cakes were yummy also at meal times! A lot of variety on food but after a while just tasted the same! Lots of choice though! We ate out a few nights! Had a lovely steak down at the harbour! Also tony Romans a short walk to the beach is lush a bit like TGIS here! A great curry also Bombay Bau! Is situated by moonlight bar! Hotel was very clean maids were excellent fresh towels everyday everywhere gleaming clean well done!! Staff on reception very friendly! Bit of a pain having to get up on holiday and save sunbeds though or else u wouldn't get one and have to sit all day in the shade! The entertainment wasn't very good on the nights very boring! This needs updating so glad we ventured out and we made our own entertainment as there were 25 of us!!! Cocktails were very disappointing all watered down vile! Stick to sprits I love Malibu but couldn't have it on all inclusive!! The entertainment team were a credit to the hotel worked very hard to make sure we all enjoyed ourselves! at 11pm most nights we had a dance the kids loved it they worked longer than they were meant to past midnight! Sam was fantastic he's awesome!! Surrounding area was nice some 5 star hotels we visited market some bargains but full of same stuff really!! Sian park was fab would highly recommend it food was ok too we had £5 voucher each was well worth it!! Hotel is more like a 3 star though would definately go back to Tenerife great resort! More
