This hotel has got the lot. A trio of pools ticks off rooftop and garden numbers, while the restaurants include a buffet place and an à la carte pool bar. The location aims high, too - it sits in a high-end postcode that comes with a beach.
Sitting in an upmarket corner of Tenerife, the Fanabe Costa Sur Hotel looks out over the sparkling sapphire seas. In fact, you’re just a short stroll down a steep slope from the honey-coloured sands of both Playa Fanabe and Playa del Duque. And there’s a sprinkling of shops, bars and restaurants even closer.
It’s not a big brash resort though. Far from it. Here, you’re at the heart of a restful residential area, where most of the 5 star hotels on the island congregate. From the moment you set eyes on the Fanabe though, you probably won’t want to venture far. Sat in gorgeous green grounds, you’re most definitely in for a treat here. You’ll know you’re onto a good thing as soon as you step into the lobby. Light, luminous and lavish, it’s a chic affair all round. We’re talking glossy marble floors. Oh-so inviting sofas. And floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook one of the eye-catching pool areas.
Talking of which, you’re totally spoilt for choice in the swimming stakes. With three pools to choose from, you’ll have to do the rounds before you decide on a favourite. If it’s jaw-dropping views you want, head for the roof terrace where two of the plunge pools live. Or for a truly tropical setting, there's the main pool sitting in the grounds, surrounded by exotic plants and swishing palms. Rather keep active? No problem. Keep up with your exercise routine at the fully equipped gym, which also offers aerobics lessons and massages. Join in the fun and games with the entertainment team. Or choose from a list of sports that includes minigolf and football. However you work up an appetite, when you’re ready to eat the buffet restaurant offers up international favourites, with on-the-spot cooking stations a mainstay. There's also an à la carte lunchtime eatery by the pool, and you can tuck in to sandwiches at the lobby bar.

My partner and i stayed in this hotel 3 years ago and loved it so much we decided to book up again. We love it here, it's a great location, the shops, bars and restaurants are only 10/15 minutes walk away. It's clean and most of the staff are pleasant. The roof terrace is excellent for a relaxing day lying in the sun. There's a small pool if you need to cool off and a bar to keep you quenched. Also kids aren't allowed up on the roof terrace unless accompanied by an adult - we only saw one child there one day in our week, so it was very peaceful indeed!! We went half-board, so had breakfast and dinner most days. The breakfast was good, what you would expect. Dinner was also good - it changed every night. Some nights better than others but there was always something you could eat! One piece of advice for people - try and request a room that doesn't face the front!!! The entertainment is at the front of the hotel and very loud, so no chance of an early night! Plus drunk people hang about after the entertainment has stopped - screaming, shouting and singing = no sleep!!More

We just keep returning !
We have just returned from our fourth visit to Fanabe Costa Sur and once again no complaints. The staff are friendly and efficient with the exception of a female in the dining room who took your drinks order, no eye contact, no smile and appeared very bossy with the rest of the staff who worked so hard in fact your empty plate could disappear before you swallowed your last bite. The food was varied, lots of salad, rice, pasta cakes and ice cream personally I am not a meat lover but there was something different every meal time although lunch was less choice. The rooms are spacious and spotless, clean towels everyday and linen every other day. All inclusive is excellent value as well as all meals and drinks throughout the day there is an area with salad, ham, cheese, fruit, biscuits, cake and ice cream that you can help yourself and hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza early afternoon. The main pool is lively and there is quiet roof terrace with its own bar. The location is in a quiet area although the market is next door Thursday and Saturday, the buses go from outside, there is a shopping mall with a supermarket directly over the road and a steady 15 minute walk past more shops takes you to the beach. We enjoy this clean and friendly hotel and will be returning yet again.More

Very rich breakfast, great pool
+ great breakfast; + nice swimming pool; + almost every night there was a singer on the stage placed in front of the hotel; + the room where we stayed in had a bathroom with 2 sinks, which was very useful in the morning; - has few parking places in front of the hotel, you will be forced to park the car on the street; - is a little bit far from the beach;More

Another great stay at fanabe
My wife and I have just returned from another amazing 2 week holiday at this hotel. This was our 3rd stay there and we are booking again for November. On arrival we were welcomed as return guests and was pleasantly surprised by a welcome note and bottle of bubbly in our room. As usual the food was fantastic and plenty to eat for all tastes with great variety. We went all inclusive and found the local beer and spirits to be as good as anything we drink at home. The staff, from the moment we arrived until the day we left, were polite, very attentive and did everything they could to make our stay feel special. It's hard to find time to mention everyone and I would if I could but a special thanks goes out to Gasper (hope the spellings correct) who was the fairly new bar manager. He spoke better English than my Scottish version and never passed without acknowledging us. He worked very hard and could be seen serving drinks, serving tables and clearing up after us all until the early hours so a very BIG thank you to him and all the bar staff. The restaurant staff also deserve a special mention, they work from morning until night, remove any used plates etc instantly and kept the restaurant running smoothly. Another BIG thank you them and the kitchen staff for managing to prepare fresh amazing food three times a day. The housekeeping staff also do a fantastic job and our room was left spotless every day. I had one minor problem during my stay when my shower screen fell off into the bath (not surprising with the flow of visitors throughout the year) I reported it to the reception staff before going for lunch, when I arrived back within 45mins a brand new screen had been fitted. I could rave on forever about this hotel and if you read any negative reviews they are probably from folk that would moan about everything...trust me...book it, get out there and enjoy the holiday of a lifetime.More
