This hotel has got the lot. A trio of pools ticks off rooftop and garden numbers, while the restaurants include a buffet place and an à la carte pool bar. The location aims high, too - it sits in a high-end postcode that comes with a beach.
Sitting in an upmarket corner of Tenerife, the Fanabe Costa Sur Hotel looks out over the sparkling sapphire seas. In fact, you’re just a short stroll down a steep slope from the honey-coloured sands of both Playa Fanabe and Playa del Duque. And there’s a sprinkling of shops, bars and restaurants even closer.
It’s not a big brash resort though. Far from it. Here, you’re at the heart of a restful residential area, where most of the 5 star hotels on the island congregate. From the moment you set eyes on the Fanabe though, you probably won’t want to venture far. Sat in gorgeous green grounds, you’re most definitely in for a treat here. You’ll know you’re onto a good thing as soon as you step into the lobby. Light, luminous and lavish, it’s a chic affair all round. We’re talking glossy marble floors. Oh-so inviting sofas. And floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook one of the eye-catching pool areas.
Talking of which, you’re totally spoilt for choice in the swimming stakes. With three pools to choose from, you’ll have to do the rounds before you decide on a favourite. If it’s jaw-dropping views you want, head for the roof terrace where two of the plunge pools live. Or for a truly tropical setting, there's the main pool sitting in the grounds, surrounded by exotic plants and swishing palms. Rather keep active? No problem. Keep up with your exercise routine at the fully equipped gym, which also offers aerobics lessons and massages. Join in the fun and games with the entertainment team. Or choose from an exhaustive list of sports that includes minigolf, tennis and football. However you work up an appetite, when you’re ready to eat the buffet restaurant offers up international favourites, with on-the-spot cooking stations a mainstay. There's also an à la carte lunchtime eatery by the pool, and you can tuck in to sandwiches at the lobby bar.

Good but not great.
We wanted a winter break, and the location of the Hotel was good as Costa Adeje is a very nice resort. Hotel was noisy on level one so avoid. Wifi was non existent so if that's important avoid. Food was good but not great not a 4 star in my book, but I am fussy ! Staff were nice especially in the restaurant female restaurant manager very helpful. Pool was heated a bit cool for adults but kids loved it. Overall it was a good break and we enjoyed it and with a couple of exceptions it was fine.More

Arrived at the Fanabe Costa Sur for February half term with 2 kids 9 & 5. Hotel in great location, nice area, short walk to beach and promenade. Train to take you further to las Americas just outside the hotel. Rooms are a good size, not as many plug sockets as we would have liked but was cleaned well every day and the fridge is handy for water and snacks. We were a little disappointed as we had asked for a quiet room but we got put on the 1st floor over the evening entertainment! A little miffed at this however we had a good view of the pool so didn't bother asking to move. The entertainment finished at 11pm so wasn't too much of an issue and if you put the air con on low it drowns out the noise. Was noisy however as the cleaners started at 7am moving chairs downstairs etc. Food was fine, we stayed full board and there was always something for everyone, not much choice at lunch however dinner there was lots of choice. Would have been nice to have a tea/coffee after dinner but you never do in Spanish hotels. Breakfast very busy so we tried to leave it as late at possible when it was a bit quieter. Pools were fine, always somewhere to sit in the sun, maybe a little chilly in the pools but it didn't stop the kids getting in. Roof terrace great for adults and families with older quieter kids, you get the sun for a lot longer in the afternoons up there. We would pop up for a drink at 4ish when the sun was limited at the main pool. Kids club and animation team good with the kids, our 9 year old enjoyed going. Evening entertainment was fine. There is a singer on in the main reception which suited the older guests and was a nice place to relax and downstairs for the kids disco and shows which we enjoyed. Drinks good no complaints there. Wifi is limited but could normally get it in main reception. Hotel was clean and tidy through out. Staff mostly pleasant. Enjoyable stay at the Fanabe costa sur, suits familys and older couples, but not younger couples.More
Half term holiday with kids at Fanabe Costa Sur
Family winter sun break for the February half term. We stayed in this hotel for 7 days and had a wonderful time. The family room provided overlooked the pool area and was spacious, clean and just right. We discovered there was a fridge in the room which was a nice bonus for storing water/beer/etc. Rooms were serviced everyday by the efficient and friendly staff. We opted for half board, breakfast and a choice between taking lunch or dinner. The restaurant was large with plenty of fare on offer- a wide range of things that was pleasant enough (especially the cake/ice cream island!). The pool was great for kids and adults alike - be aware that the depth ranges from 0.6m to 2.0m though, keep eyes on little ones who are tempted to explore. There are plenty of sun loungers which cannot be 'reserved' by anyone and the staff are pretty quick to remove any towels placed before the area is open in the mornings. There is also a more adult oriented sun deck on the roof, replete with small bar, plunge pool and a screened off area for those who prefer sunbathing in their birthday suit. The mini club for small ones was great - the kids really enjoyed the range of activities provided. There is a mini disco/show put on in the evenings from 8.45pm - a bit late for our two who are 5 and 7 but good fun. The only minor quibbles we had were that the free wifi was really frustrating - yes it's free but during the majority of the day the connection would keep dropping every few minutes, the speed was painfully slow and obviously not up to the volume of folks accessing it. Overall this was a great stay and we would definitely consider returning to this hotel again.More

IGNORE BAD REVIWS
Arrived 2nd week in February, great hotel, spotlessly clean, lovely staff. Entertainment is what you would expect from a hotel that caters for all nationalities. sometimes good sometimes average. Only had breakfast it was just ok. The pool and roof top sunbathing areas are great. The location is superb, 5 mins down a gentle slope and you are at the beach there are lots of great restaurants and bars, Atlantico and Spanglish to the right are brilliant. All in all a great stay, if you are going to stay at The Fanabe ignore all the bad reviews, they are ridiculous. Good tip e-mail hotel for a nice pool view room.More
Me and my wife have stayed in this hotel 6 times, it's just got better, great location, great food, lovely rooms, very clean staff always make you welcome. Can't wait to go back, the sunbathing at the top of the hotel is ideal, nice little bar there 2 small pools, a nudist area sealed off. The main pool area is nice no towels allowed on beds till a certain time, that brasses a few folk off which is good. It's just a very nice hotel.More
