This hotel has got the lot. A trio of pools ticks off rooftop and garden numbers, while the restaurants include a buffet place and an à la carte pool bar. The location aims high, too - it sits in a high-end postcode that comes with a beach.
Sitting in an upmarket corner of Tenerife, the Fanabe Costa Sur Hotel looks out over the sparkling sapphire seas. In fact, you’re just a short stroll down a steep slope from the honey-coloured sands of both Playa Fanabe and Playa del Duque. And there’s a sprinkling of shops, bars and restaurants even closer.
It’s not a big brash resort though. Far from it. Here, you’re at the heart of a restful residential area, where most of the 5 star hotels on the island congregate. From the moment you set eyes on the Fanabe though, you probably won’t want to venture far. Sat in gorgeous green grounds, you’re most definitely in for a treat here. You’ll know you’re onto a good thing as soon as you step into the lobby. Light, luminous and lavish, it’s a chic affair all round. We’re talking glossy marble floors. Oh-so inviting sofas. And floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook one of the eye-catching pool areas.
Talking of which, you’re totally spoilt for choice in the swimming stakes. With three pools to choose from, you’ll have to do the rounds before you decide on a favourite. If it’s jaw-dropping views you want, head for the roof terrace where two of the plunge pools live. Or for a truly tropical setting, there's the main pool sitting in the grounds, surrounded by exotic plants and swishing palms. Rather keep active? No problem. Keep up with your exercise routine at the fully equipped gym, which also offers aerobics lessons and massages. Join in the fun and games with the entertainment team. Or choose from an exhaustive list of sports that includes minigolf, tennis and football. However you work up an appetite, when you’re ready to eat the buffet restaurant offers up international favourites, with on-the-spot cooking stations a mainstay. There's also an a la carte lunchtime eatery by the pool, and you can tuck in to sandwiches at the lobby bar.

Another great stay at this hotel
We stayed 7th December for a week on half board our second visit to this hotel. On arrival we were given a Junior Suite, fantastic with Jacuzzi, massive room, massive bed, 2 plasma televisions and partial sea view. On our second day we went back to our room to find a nice welcome back card with Belgian chocolates. The room was kept spotlessly clean. The hotel staff as usual were friendly and hard working. The food had plenty of variety and nobody should go hungry from fish, steak, pork , lamb, salads, cakes. Try the rooftop sunbathing, great views. The location of this hotel is great, it's quiet at night but within 5 minutes you are on the sea front with shops, bars and restaurants and around the corner the Plaza del Duque shopping centre, in fact you are in walking distance of 5 commercial centres. The Fanabe commercial centre on the sea front has some great restaurants and we found a great Chinese with free wine called Phoenix City, lots of other restaurant choices which were packed each night so they must have been good. In all a great area and fantastic hotel, I cant fault it had a great holiday.More

Great Short Break
Have just returned from a four night stay at this hotel. All of the staff are fantastic and the hotel should be very proud of them. Everyone is friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they all work very hard. This hotel is kept spotlessly clean in all areas and the food choice is unbelievable. We stayed half board and really didn't find any need to eat out. The salad bar has more choice than I have seen anywhere. Our room was very spacious and was overlooking the children's play area but this didn't really bother us as we were out most of the time and were only staying 4 days. If we visit again I would ask for a pool view as this was a lovely area. It was my birthday during our break and the hotel left a bottle of bubbly and a birthday message in our room. What a lovely surprise and a really lovely thought. Yes this hotel does need a little updating but no more than many European hotels. This hotel is exceptional value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay again. Thank you Fanabe Costa Sur for a lovely holiday.More

It was better than last time
We visited this hotel for the second time this year and it was better than when we came in February, the food was alot better with more choice and also a vegitarian option was available, All the staff were very friendly, The entertainment staff were great with our daughter Alannah in perticular Roberta who Alannah now calles her friend,Sam was also very friendly and we had a good bit crack about football, All in all i would reccomend this hotel highly as it also is in a good location about 3-4 mins to the seafront and about 5 mins from del duchi shopping centre.More

Good hotel overall
Stayed December 10th. Great food lots of choice and very tasty. Fillet steak, shrimp, lamb, rabbit, pork, Turkey etc etc. Huge room with big bathroom and a sea view sun all day on balcony. Clean rooms amazing comfy beds both 3,ffeet twins. Emailed hotel week before and asked for a high floor with sun and they delivered. Busy bustling lobby with horseshoe bar leads on to open air terrace, there is free wifi in the lobby area by the bar. Pool is good lots sun beds gets sun only on one half in afternoon but upstairs is a roof terrace sun all day also a nudist bathing area fenced off, nochildren allowed. I am very fussy and found it all good just a little tired in places but very good value for money. The entertainment room was disappointing didn't visit it as an act in the lobby each night was ok. There are a few English bars and tea rooms in the area and lots of local bars. Oh the flat screen TVs has around 20 English speaking channels ITV BBC etc but no sky sports but the bars over the road show the football. It's around 10 mins to the fanabe beach with lots of shops and bars. Would I visit again? Yes it's the best value for money ever had but don't expect a 5 star.More
