This grand hotel gives you three pools and a setting just 5-minutes’ walk from the beach.
This place was given a makeover in 2014. It has a grand, colonial feel and is edged by tropical gardens, at the centre of which lie two huge pools. And it’s less than a 5-minute walk from a sandy bay and the smart shops and restaurants in Playa Fanabé.
Breakfast and dinner are covered in the buffet restaurant, while lunch comes courtesy of the pool bar. Both have large terraces so you can eat outside. The massage menu in the spa is well worth a look, too.
The restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner with show cooking and themed evenings. For eating al fresco, there's a large outdoor terrace. There's an extra charge for dinner if you're staying Bed and Breakfast.

One of our best experiences on the Canary Islands so far
The hotel is calm (adults only; no loud musicâ¦), the rooms are very clean and their decoration is so nice we thought we could even copy some ideas for our own place... The food at the restaurant is delicious, the terrace in the patio looks much more like a real restaurant's terrace than like a hotel's one. - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Last but no least, we were impressed by the efforts made by this hotel to limit the waste, both at the restaurant and in the room. For instance, the restaurant offers the same fried products for breakfast (bacon, eggsâ¦) than other hotels, but on demand, not directly on "mountains" displayed on trays. Upon arrival, guests can choose the frequency of change of the towels and bedlinen.More

We have been to Costa Adeje many times and stayed in one hotel on a number of occasions, we felt the quality and service was falling so we needed to find a new place to stay. The Colon Gaunahani was our choice and it was fantastic, exactly what we wanted. Very quiet, good quality food, friendly staff, the customer service was superb and it was exceptionally clean. We came back thoroughly rested and making plans for our next visit.More

Loved the rooftop pool area
Travelled with Classic Collections. Paid extra for poolside room which was on ground level near the pool. Room in need of tlc. Room & bathroom v clean & good air con , although noisy. Fridge very well used, but did the job.Twin beds requested but always put back to double version when room cleaned. Not a big deal to pull apart , but not we're far apart enough for mother & daughter !!
Main bug bear was sun beds being reserved - all nationalities- with military precision from 7am . Always the same people in 'their' place. This was particularly irritating as we were in a ground floor room with a terrace leading straight on to the pool area. We never did have the luxury of using the sun beds right in front of our room .
Loved the roof top pool area, sun beds further apart & a lot more relaxing as no one seemed to reserve as by the ground floor pool.
Breakfast buffet v good with lots of choice, omelettes & fried eggs cooked to order & lovely choice of cereal & fruit. Freshly squeezed orange juice & cava too :-)
We stayed 1/2 board so didn't eat at night- lots of places nearby to eat.
Staff all good especially for lunchtime drinks & snacks. Reception staff men v helpful & friendly.
Would recommend walking to Caleta in the evening ( turn left down the hill & turn right) -good choice of fish restaurants & cocktails at El Mirador. Also whale watching on 12 seater Los Romanticos a great day out.More

My wife and I spent a fantastic two weeks in early November.
The hotel exudes understated luxury and the food was always varied and well presented. The rooms are beautifully appointed and well maintained. All the staff are so friendly and efficient and if you like a child free environment you couldn't make a better choice of hotel.More

Just returned nearly a week ago from this Adult Only Hotel both myself and my husband had a very relaxing week and really enjoyed our stay. We had a top floor room which had views but was a bit obscured by a large palm tree which was a bit annoying. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We relaxed by the roof top pool most days which was excellent and also they had waiter service for the bar which was good. It was my birthday during our stay of which the hotel staff left a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the room which was a very nice touch.More
