This grand hotel gives you 2 huge pools and a setting just 5 minutes’ walk from the beach.
This place has a grand, colonial feel. It’s edged by tropical gardens, at the centre of which lie 2 huge pools. And it’s less than a 5-minute walk from a sandy bay and the smart shops and restaurants in Playa Fanabé.
Breakfast and dinner are covered in the buffet restaurant, while lunch comes courtesy of the pool bar. Both have large terraces so you can eat outside. The massage menu in the spa is well worth a look, too.
This is a lovely small child free hotel. The food is lovely the show cooking means the food is freshly cooked not sitting in hot trays. Pool is warm and quiet with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The staff are lovely friendly and helpful a credit to the hotel. And for the first time ever we were asked personally by a member of staff before we left the hotel if we had enjoyed our stay and any comments we had good or bad. Will definitely be backMore

Itâs been a few weeks since returning from Costa Adeje and I am still talking about this Hotel. Itâs ideally situated in Playa Fanabe with a short walk to either Playa Colon, Playa Del Duque or an even longer walk to La Caletta.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, towels and pool towels changed daily (if required). We stayed in a pool view room which was lovely with afternoon and evening sun. The bathroom had both a bath (with shower head over) and a separate shower (excellent, quite powerful), hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, robes and slippers. Plenty of sunbeds to choose from both around the well maintained main pool area and rooftop pool. There is also the added bonus of a lovely Zen like area with a Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna tucked away near the beauty treatment room.
All the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful especially Pepe on Reception. The food throughout our stay was very good with plenty of choice. We were on half board basis so asked Reception on one occasion if we could swap from Dinner to Lunch as we fancied eating out one evening, this wasnât a problem and were given a ticket to hand in at the Pool Bar where Lunch was served.
Yes this Hotel is quiet but if you want noise then itâs just a short stroll down to the Promenadeâ¦
We had a great holiday made even better by staying at Colon Guanahani⦠Well recommended!!More

Lovely quiet hotel
Just returned from our second stay in the hotel, which has been refurbished since our last visit October 2013, and what an amazing job they have done. The rooms have all been upgraded and the suite we had was absolutely lovely and couldn't be faulted with the addition of a massive balinese bed, outside shower, and a coffee making machine in the room (a welcome bonus). The staff remain the same friendly and helpful bunch as before and ensure good service. Plenty of different areas to sunbathe - and no shortage of space or sunbeds. Another bonus also - no children. Breakfast buffet always fresh and lots of choice for everyone. Nightly entertainment a bit 'bland' and uninspiring, but would suit most. Will definitely be going back.More

Very quiet hotel in a very quiet area. The very friendly and attentive staff make up for the lack of atmosphere.
Be warned, not all of the "pool view" rooms offer a view of the pool. Rooms in the 300c series overlook a sun terrace but no pool in sight. The floor below offer a view of the rooms opposite. Reminded me of the sort of view you might expect in a cell block. Not a problem for us since we spent very little time in the hotel.More

Excellent 4 star hotel in upmarket location
We very much enjoyed our week at the Colin Guanahani, friendly staff, lovely room and excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Fairly low key entertainment every night. We appreciated the child free environment. Swimming pools were warm and we enjoyed the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. We liked our room which overlooked a quiet side street and we were able to sit on our balcony in the sunshine during the afternoons. Hotel is about 7 minutes walk from the beach. Bus stop handy for exploring the island. If you are looking for a place to relax then this is it.More
