This grand hotel gives you three pools and a setting just 5-minutes’ walk from the beach.
This place was given a makeover in 2014. It has a grand, colonial feel and is edged by tropical gardens, at the centre of which lie two huge pools. And it’s less than a 5-minute walk from a sandy bay and the smart shops and restaurants in Playa Fanabé.
Breakfast and dinner are covered in the buffet restaurant, while lunch comes courtesy of the pool bar. Both have large terraces so you can eat outside. The massage menu in the spa is well worth a look, too.
Book Bed and Breakfast between 1st March 2016 and 24th May 2016, and for any nights of your holiday that fall between 8th June 2016 and 15th June 2016, you'll receive a free Half Board upgrade. All nights outside of this period will be charged at the standard board upgrade supplement. The cost of your board upgrade, if applicable, will be averaged out and shown on a per person, per night basis, across the full duration of your holiday.
The restaurant serves buffet breakfast and dinner with show cooking and themed evenings. For eating al fresco, there's a large outdoor terrace. There's an extra charge for dinner if you're staying Bed and Breakfast.

I have been to this hotel 3 times in the past 6 months, I love this hotel, travelling on my own can be daunting but as soon as I get to the hotel I am always greeted by the warm and friendly staff who always make me feel at ease and take their time with my limited Spanish. The hotel is spotless, rooms are spacious and lovely views, Pools are easy accessible and the roof Terrance and Jacuzzi have amazing views. In the evenings I feel very comfortable being a lone traveller, sitting at the terrance or inside bar. Flabio (in the bar) and all the staff are very attentive. Looking forward to my next visit Thanks ...........
Relaxing week in the sun
We stayed at this Hotel from the 19th April 2016 for one week. On arrival we were met at the taxi where our bags were taken from us and assisted with the booking in procedure. Our room was upgraded to a suite it was spotlessly clean and the bathroom was large with an excellent walk in shower .Towels and bedding were changed as discussed on arrival. Dressing gowns and slippers were provided. There are three pools with plenty of loungers. The location of the Hotel is a few minutesâ walk to the beach and close to some excellent shops. There are plenty of taxis and buses to take you to the other parts of the Island. We stayed on Half Board and could not fault the variety of the food at breakfast and during the evening meal. There is evening entertainment in the bar area.
The staff are very friendly, polite and cheerful making this hotel an excellent place to stay for a relaxing quiet holiday. We look forward to our next visit in September this year when we will be meeting up with friends.
Well done to the Management and Staff for an excellent stayMore
Good old fashioned service
We have just returned from a weeks stay at this little oasis.
We were impressed from the moment we checked in, I parked the hire car on the small drop off point and walked in with our cases, Lee on reception said "good evening Mr & Mrs Hannon I hope you had a good journey".......a small touch that made you feel like a valued guest, I assume we where the only people due to arrive that evening!!
Lee checked us in and gave us a great explanation of the basics, he remined me that I'd sent an email asking for a room on a higher floor.....he told me that a room on a higher floor wasnt available, but if I was unhappy with my ground floor room then I could move to a higher floor the following day.
The room was great, ground floor, it wasnt a pool view, it was 125A on the ground floor. Great room with a terrace leading onto a grassed area, the terrace had table and chairs, a brolly and two sun beds. The sun "came round" by about 12.30 pm and was on the area right until early evening, perfect!!
Although close to the road it was very quiet and our sleep wasnt disturbed on any of the evenings we stayed there.
We travel in Spain a lot and I can honestly say that the staff at the hotel were the best we have ever met at any hotel we have stayed at in Spain, always a smile and nothing was too much trouble. We speak a little Spanish and this was very well received by the staff.
A first for us was a phone call from the hotel manager on the eve of our last day asking if we had enjoyed our stay and was there anything the hotel could do to improve our stay, nice touch.
On the last day we wernt leaving until 6.00pm, I asked about a late check out room, rather than the normal 12.00 checkout, I was offered a late checkout on our room at a charge of 30 Euros ore an half hour slot in a room to get showered and changed, we choose this option and left our cases in the locked and secure luggage room.
At 5.00pm we were given the key card for a top floor suite, it was immaculate.
Although the hotel doesnt have a car park we never had to park, on street free of charge, more than 100 yards from the hotel entrance.
If you like hotels where you dont feel like a number and feel like a sardine in a tin then this is the hotel for you, it was full but didnt feel like it was.More
Since we were travelling over Easter, I booked an adults-only hotel to avoid hordes of screaming children. In the end, I felt a bit like a child myself since the average guest at this hotel was 65+!
The common areas, including both pools and the restaurant, are modern and beautifully maintained. The rooms have been given a refresh, with remodelled bathrooms including a great shower. There were some minor fit and finish issues like uneven paint lines, but it's the islands. Wifi speed was good.
The staff are all super friendly and helpful, attentive and the right level of chatty. Breakfast is a enormous spread with everything you could possibly desire, including sparkling wine; it was easy to make this the main meal of the day. The poolside restaurant was also good for lunch or afternoon snacks with reasonable prices for a hotel.
The Costa Adeje location is close enough to the action -- about a 10-minute cab ride or a 20-minute bus ride to Playa de las Americas -- if you need to get away from the senior crowd! Walking around Playa de las Americas, I found the quality of the hotels comparable to Costa Adeje (much moreso than the guides indicated), so I would probably stay in Playa de las Americas if I came back to Tenerife.
But if you don't mind an older crowd and want to be removed from the action, Hotel Colon Guanahani is a very tranquil and high quality hotel that delivers what it promises.More

A return holiday to Adeje
This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel which was even better that our first visit. As we were returning guests there was a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fruit in the room....All the sunloungers had been replaced with new ones around the pools areas....the choice of food in the restaurant is very varied and well cooked and presented.....at the end of our stay there was a follow up letter to our visit along with a small gift for my wife.......anyone looking for a "child free" break in a classy part of the resort should give this place a thought....More
