This grand hotel gives you two huge pools and a setting just 5-minutes’ walk from the beach.
This place was given a makeover in 2014. It has a grand, colonial feel and is edged by tropical gardens, at the centre of which lie two huge pools. And it’s less than a 5-minute walk from a sandy bay and the smart shops and restaurants in Playa Fanabé.
Breakfast and dinner are covered in the buffet restaurant, while lunch comes courtesy of the pool bar. Both have large terraces so you can eat outside. The massage menu in the spa is well worth a look, too.

Just spent 14days here. Delightful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Would choose a room on top level in future. Lunch and Evening Tapa's round the pool with Fabio and staff excellent. Would prefer waiter service in restaurant. Really good entertainment in bar area. Lovely pool and jaccuzi on roof.More

Excellent hotel with a special atmosphere and service
An excellent hotel overall and it is above its 4 star rating in many ways and well on its way to the 5 star standard. It is a smaller (in comparison to a lot of hotels in the area) family run hotel and has been designed with care and thought to provide a more unique experience. The vast majority of the hotel was extensively renovated / refurbished in 2014. This work has been done to a very high standard and has really improved the hotel even further. Extensive redecoration has been completed throughout the hotel. One major feature is the addition of a fairly large rooftop pool and adjacent sun terrace. This has been added in a way that blends in with the local surroundings to the hotel and is served by a new lift as well as stairs. It is an adults only hotel but the vast majority of guests (many who returned to the hotel each year) think this is a positive point. One of the review sites places it within the top 25 hotels in Europe. It is situated a short walk away from the traffic free large promenade with shops, bars and restaurants running for several miles. Several beach areas are also available and there is a local port where trips on boats can be booked. All staff provide a friendly and professional service and are very efficient in their duties and want to please in every way possible. Regular guestâs requirements or preferences are quite often remembered from previous visits so a personal service is provided. It is a very popular hotel and has many repeat guests which says a lot in itself. A particular feature of the hotel is its excellent standard and choice of food. The breakfast is buffet style with a very extensive selection of hot and cold dishes with indoor show cooking also available. All hot food is brought out in shallower food trays so it is always very hot and is replaced at regular intervals so it is also very fresh. Only smaller quantities of each cold dish are present, but again these are regularly replaced. A number of kitchen staff wear colour coded gloves according to the food they are handling. The kitchen can be seen as the swing doors open and it looks extremely clean, it would easily attain the 5 star food hygiene standard if back in the UK and has won local food hygiene awards. One can have hot drinks brought to the table or you can go and help yourself - this I prefer as you can clearly see for instance that the water for making tea (several varieties available) is actually boiling. Cereals, cheeses, meats, hams, fruit, yoghurts, cakes and pastries with a wide selection of hot dishes. Breakfast can be eaten inside the air conditioned restaurant which is decorated in a very pleasant way and the lighting is very good and makes the space large and airy. There is also a large terrace for guests that want to eat outside. For the evening meal most guests opt to go for the buffet option as you can choose what you want and decide to eat as few or as many courses as you desire. Again two indoor restaurant areas are available (adjoining each other) or once again the outdoor terrace area is available with some unique but very effective lighting and a small fountain in the centre of the area. Again the selection is enormous both of hot and cold dishes and the indoor show cooking facility is very popular. Staff are very attentive and efficient in their duties and will try their best to explain what the dishes are to anyone who is unsure. The advantage is you can taste something and if you like it go back for more. Unlike some hotels I have been to (some 5 star) there has never been a time when I have come out of a meal feeling disappointed in any way whatsoever. The hotel has two uniquely shaped salt water swimming pools on the lower level that are heated to a comfortable temperature value and both are a reasonable size and have easy access for guests with limited mobility. These pools are in addition to the rooftop pool. They are surrounded by ample sunbeds and umbrellas and a pool bar that serves a good selection of meals or snacks. The room accommodation is varied and some rooms face the swimming pools and are a lot quieter whereas some overlook the street outside and can sometimes suffer from some traffic noise. There are standard rooms, superior rooms and suites. All rooms are of a large size and have air conditioning (which runs at a low noise level) and either a balcony or terrace with a table, chairs and a sun umbrella. There is a large safe available which is free. The superior rooms have both a walk in shower and a low level bath. All rooms have satellite TV (which still receives some UK channels) and a mini bar. The beds are very comfortable and cushions are provided (superior rooms) so one can watch TV in bed in comfort. The rooms are maintained to a high standard and are kept very clean. Free internet access is available on two computers in the large reception lounge or area and on your own device as well as in all bedrooms using your own computer. This is accessed via the TV which supplies a unique username and password combination for each room to provide some peace of mind that the system is more secure than in other establishments. A maintenance service is provided and any issues or faults are reported on a system that logs the date and time and any such problems are rectified as quickly as possible. There are ample sun beds around the pools and additional ones on a sun terrace on the third floor and a further sun terrace on the roof of part of the hotel where the new pool is. There is a gym room which has several pieces of equipment all of which do work. At a lower level one has a jacuzzi and a massage room / beauty par lour. Each evening two periods of entertainment and / or live music is provided in the main lounge. There is a separate gallery lounge area above this where the reception is. Overall a highly recommended hotel.More

Disappointing in some ways
I'll start this review with the positive things about the hotel : well trained staff, nice pool area, nice rooms with great shower and good (not excellent) food. However the big negative for me was the fact that our room faced a main road which made it rather unpleasant to sit on the balcony. We had requested a quiet room with a sunny balcony and was told that our request woud be noted. At that time we should have been told that due to choosing a standard room our request would be impossible to fulfill as all standard rooms faced the busy road.More

A little gem
This is the second time we have been here but this time was after the alterations. We were in a standard room 322b which was handy for the new sunbathing terrace on the roof and also overlooked them road across to them other adrianhtel. The sun was on the balcony all afternoon. The room was very big, with large walk in wardrobes and plenty ofdrawers etc. The bathroom was just fabulous with Massive walk In shower with two power shower heads. This hotel is a small boutique adult only hotel which makes a lovely change. The food was lovely and you could have freshly cooked omelettes and bacon. Have. Nothing bad to say about it.More

Another great stay
A second visit to the hotel. Arrived and made very welcome. Hotel had a great view down over the pool and over the other wing of the hotel and to the sea. The hotel had gad a lot of upgrading since 2014 and it was good then. The new rooftop pool is fantastic. Great views across Costa Adeje. And the hotel is just for adults. The staff very friendly and helpful. We will be back.More
