These contemporary apartments come with a balcony for that bit of fresh air. They have a twin bedroom with an extra bed suitable for a child, a kitchenette and a lounge area with another bed suitable for an adult. Plus there's a flatscreen TV.
We have stayed at several 4 star hotels in Costa Adeje so this review will be in comparison to them.
Location is not bad, on an incline, but to be honest unless you stay right on the promenade all hotels are accessed with a climb.
On check in, we were processed within minutes and given our room without any fuss (who needs a welcome drink that the 4 stars dole out)
We found the room easily enough and we were impressed on entering. Clean and spacious apartment with a large lobby off which the other rooms, bathroom, kitchen diner, living room, were accessed. The hallway has a socket and a full length mirror ( for those females who struggle drying hair in a steamy bathroom this is a god send )
Although the kitchen wasn't used except to boil the kettle, it consisted off a 2 ring modern hob and a microwave and fridge all of which were spotless. The 4 seat dining table and pull out couch/bed were modern and clean. There was a flat screen TV on the wall near the balcony doors. The balcony was quite big with 4 chairs and a table.
A slight problem with the key card for the electricity supply was sorted within 5 minutes of ringing reception.
The pool areas were clean with lots of available sun loungers, although I would not like to promise this in high season when the hotel is full.
The bar service was fine and the spirits were of a similar nature to all AI hotels.PS Stronbow cider could be bought for 1.60⬠a bottle.
We didn't use the snack bar (situated at the rear pool only) but there were burgers salad hot dogs etc.
Food in the restaurant during our stay was a bit hit and miss with the combination available but all edible. Beer and wine are self service in the restaurant.
Night entertainment was par for the course we only watched a hypnotist ( left half way through) and a female doing a non descript act of clothes changing. The listing for acts included some of the entertainers seen in the 4 and 5 star hotels but these were not on during our short break.
Rear pool bar closes at 4 pm and main pool bar closes at 6 when the lobby bar opens.
There is a seating area at the front of the hotel and in the main entertainment room there is a smoking room with modern furniture, a nice touch even though we don't smoke.
Taking everything into account this hotel is not much different to any 4 star I have stayed in except in its price to stay there.
Quick mention to the very patient and customer focused bar and restaurant staff who work so hard and are always pleasant and smiley.More

Good family holiday
We have just returned from a week at this hotel , what a good time we had . Room was spacious and clean, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful, poolside entertainment was good and the food was good too, always something for my picky child to eat.More
No frills hotel , but clean and food is good and always a choice , pools are bit small for the size of hotel , but never been many in it at a time this week, local beach is nice â¬15 for a beach lounger , local bar Kalima is good and Martini bar , selection of shops , bars and restaurants an pharmacy if needed and all speak English , staff at hotel are friendly , but hotel rooms could do with updating , but spotless none the less. Free wifi is hit and miss , but H+3g everywhere in adeje including hotel.More
My husband and I took our 10 year old daughter on holiday to the Playa Olid and we had a fantastic week!
We cannot fault the holiday at all. The staff at the hotel were amazing, and the animation team were outstanding!
The apartments were clean, the beds comfortable, tv, fridge, toaster, kettle, sofa bed...everything you needed should you want it. Clean towels supplied every day,
and cleaners 5 days out of 7.
The food was lovely, and yes it's all inclusive so it can be a little 'samesy', but the menu did offer something different everyday and catered well for all ages.
The bar staff were very generous with the spirits, and were very friendly.
Volleyball, water polo, pool competitions, and aqua aerobics were on offer during the day. At night there were different types of entertainment provided. A singer, dancers, a drag act and a hypnotist.
Reading the review about the hypnotist a 'stooges' well, I was one of those so called 'stooges' and I can say I was not a believer in hypnotism until I took part. He was fantastic! We have cried many times watching the footage back!
We are definitely returning to Playa Olid. To say it should be a 2/3 star is ridiculous! We as a family rate this 4 star. Such a wonderful hotel, and so many memories. Cannot wait to go back!
Not the best
We arrived not long after lunchtime to a room that wouldn't open. Back to reception and they sorted it. After a long flight, we were eager to chuck everything into room and get into the pool however when we opened the door, our room was DISGUSTING. The room had not been touched since the last person left...hair on tables, fake eyelashes, ashtray full, empty glasses everywhere, horrible!
Back to reception again where we were told it would take an hour to clean and to put our luggage in the luggage room. It took two hours before we were allowed back in and could actually start to relax.
The good parts:
Staff were really friendly, always said hello when we saw them.
Rooms were a decent size and I liked the wee porch we had with washing line and table/chairs
Two pools to choose from
Entertainment at night with Esme was good fun.
Free wifi at reception was useable.
Rooms were cleaned regularly.
The bad parts:
No apology was offered for the dirty room and long wait to get in.
Food was very samey- not enjoyable. Bacon at breakfast was the worst.
Double bed was actually two singles pushed together. I actually like sleeping next to my husband but felt he was very far away as beds kept pushing apart.
No air con in room.
Pools shut too early for my liking. Would have been nice to have a swim before bed but they shut at 6pm.
Dark light show was worst thing I have ever seen.
All in all, it was an average hotel. I enjoyed my stay in Tenerife but think I'd pay a bit more for a better hotel next time.
