When it comes to location, Playa Olid gets a solid A-plus - it's close to the beach and Siam Park waterpark. Families are well catered for, too, thanks to a child-friendly pool, spacious apartments, and buffet restaurant offering takeaway options.
Playa Olid is set in a lively corner of town with a range of bars, shops, and restaurants on its doorstep. And Tenerife’s biggest waterpark, Siam Park, is only a 5-minute drive down the road.
The beach is close, too – its curved, golden sands are less than a 10-minute stroll from the hotel, and it’s popular with both families and the surfing crowd.
Back at the hotel, there’s a pool, sunloungers, and palm trees dotted around the edge, plus its own bar. A couple of floors up, an extra sunbathing terrace with a Jacuzzi® overlooks the pool. Plus, children get their own half-moon-shaped paddling zone.
The apartments are big and bright, come with a terrace or balcony, and have fully-furnished kitchens. There’s also a buffet restaurant, where the chefs grill steak to order.

An excellent aparthotel
I will start by saying I am extremely hard to please. We have just returned from a week stay at these apartments, they are excellent, the food is really good,. there are 3 pools, 1 just for children, we had a 2 year old with us. The rooms are huge with 2 double beds in the bedroom and the whole place is spotless Danni, the childrens entertainer is brilliant, all the children adored him, my little 2 yr old ran every evening from the dining room to the Millenium bar to join in the mini disco, every child also got a certificate A minor fault is that we were promised a pool view, if we extended our necks from the balcony you could see the pool, they said they could change our room in a couple of days but we just didn't bother, we were happy where we were Altogether an excellent hotel with excellent facilities and staffMore

one of the best i have been in
I have just come back from a week in Tenerife in the Playa Olid aparthotel. My friend and I are in our late 50 and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The staff from the cleaners ,bar staff especially Younis and Vasille were really helpful and enjoyed serving you. When we arrived we were settled in by the receptionist and directed to our room which with having 4 blocks we were in room 4217 we got a bit lost but not to worry when we got in the room it was absolutely massive, It had two beds 4 ft 6ins pushed to gether and the living area was also big with a tv that had all the English channels and a kitchen and a settee and the balcony was large. The food was really good and plentiful even the most pickiest people as not being a drinker couldn't comment on that but my friend thought it was weak. It was up a slight hill and just a 5min walk to the most beautiful beach so the hill was no problem and as I had just had a mini stroke 8 weeks ago and it was no problem for me. We walked to Los Cristianos every day by the beach it was good you had to walk round and round but you saw the lovely sea and they had plenty of bars to stop and have a soft drink which was cheap. It is only 15 mins from airport Honestly we could not fault the hotel the staff the location or the food so we have just booked for next year for the same time as it was that good. There are plenty of bars just done the hill and if you go down the hill to the beach and turn right there is plenty on the beach for young children. Take no notice of any bad reports honest you will thoroughly enjoy this hotel.More

Probably the Most Impressed I've Been for a Long Time- And I'm Reasonably Hard to Impress!
So, like you I read all the reviews on here and thought, hmmm sounds good, so I booked it. We got it at a great price sub £400 for a week All Inclusive so my review is based on that price vs that standard- get it??! So my little cherub- Itâs not good, itâs EXCELLENT! The food is superb, I loved the food, I love food so I do love food but I loved their food! Fab selection. The salads were all fresh and great selection. The hot food was either meats or fish and generally a selection of both. I canât fault the food, honestly Iâve wasted thousands on rubbish restaurants but this food is dynamite. La comida es muy bien was my little comment to the chefâs :-) Smarty pants eh! So enough about the food. The restaurant is DIY and you have to grab a table, food and your drinks yourself. Itâs very Spanish and busy. You ainât going to get a candle popped in the middle of the table, it is what it is. But there is plenty of space across two large rooms. The desserts (not the sandy stuff) are fab. Go for the ice cream tubs, Walls and they are MADE BY THE LORD HIMSELF!!!! Actually, would you mind bringing me some back because my Mrs is fed up of me Googling âthat lovely ice cream I had in Tenerife- I wanna buy some pleeeeaaaasseeeee!â and coming back with nothing⦠weird eh? See how I went onto the food again! Rooms- right, concentrate because this is important and could cheese you off if you donât get one where we did. Iâm about to advise you- for free too! Awesome eh? Block 4- Blue block. Have a look at the piccie of the layout I posted wid ziss veeview (German, thereâs a few there) and see where Iâve put ticks and crosses. My view, if you donât like it, talk to the hand cos the face ainât listening :-) The hotel does have a few sides next to a busy and not so busy road so you really want one thatâs at the other side. Unless youâre a car spotter in which case, spotting heaven. No topless women (or men, if you like that sort of thing..) walking past so go for the quiet place. We had room 4420- awesome! If you do get a block on the road area, ask for a pool view, then youâll get the inside room, not an outside street one- still with me? Good. Rooms are really clean, and good size. We got upgraded because I asked âEs possible tranquilo habicion- she loved that and wanted my children BIG TIME! But Iâve had the snip, on the third Mrs so defo a âNo Goâ Not my type either too to be fair but every port in a storm and all that.. So, get a cheap deal on this bad boy and knock yourself out. Adeje has enough beach, bars, eateries and a harbour to keep you away from Americas or Los wotsits. We will go again Iâm quite sure and would DEFINITELY book this place. So as Rockyâs trainer Mickey said: âWhat are you waiting for!â I know it was actually âweâ but you know what I mean hair splitter!! Go book it and enjoy!More

Stayed here from 13/1/15 - 20/1/15. Weather mostly fantastic. 1. The Room. We were overlooking both the pool and the sea. To the left, a great view up the mountainside. Spacious, modern, light ,clean and fresh, the room was all you would want. Good sized balcony. Large TV in room with UK terrestrial channels. Bathroom was spacious and clean with a good powerful shower. 2. The Food. The usual you'd expect in presentation from all inclusive. The standard? Excellent, fresh, varied, steaks, chops, fish and omelettes cooked to order if requested on the grill. Breakfast, again, varied and fresh. Put it this way, the hotel owner ate in here every night. Room seats 200 covers at a time. 3. The Service. Whether it be the restaurant, bars, reception or cleaners, every one of the staff were friendly and helpful. They say hello as they pass! 4. The Location. Ten minutes from beach and bars. 5. The Entertainment. Some good acts, some I wouldn't hire for a kids party. One in particular (a Russian rope and drum act?!?!) shouldn't have been let near the stage. 6. The Bar. Generous hand poured measures of the inclusive spirits, brands are to be bought separately, draught lager was quite alright. Coffees were excellent. Large bar area, well spaced. 7 The Pool. Plenty of beds around, double cushioned and comfy. Pool a good size. Verdict. Would definitely come here again.More
