Playa Olid

When it comes to location, Playa Olid gets a solid A-plus - it's close to the beach and Siam Park waterpark. Families are well catered for, too, thanks to a child-friendly pool, spacious apartments, and buffet restaurant offering takeaway options.

Playa Olid is set in a lively corner of town with a range of bars, shops, and restaurants on its doorstep. And Tenerife’s biggest waterpark, Siam Park, is only a 5-minute drive down the road.

The beach is close, too – its curved, golden sands are less than a 10-minute stroll from the hotel, and it’s popular with both families and the surfing crowd.

Back at the hotel, there’s a pool, sunloungers, and palm trees dotted around the edge, plus its own bar. A couple of floors up, an extra sunbathing terrace with a Jacuzzi® overlooks the pool. Plus, children get their own half-moon-shaped paddling zone.

The apartments are big and bright, come with a terrace or balcony, and have fully-furnished kitchens. There’s also a buffet restaurant, where the chefs grill steak to order.

7 day break

Just got back from a weeks holiday with my friend, this is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and we were upgraded from a studio to an apartment as soon as we got there, we were 5 floors up and there was approx. 50 steps to the room, no good for anyone with problems with stairs, we liked it because it was a quieter room and kept us fit!! pool area is lovely, pool gets warmer as the day goes on, very clean, the staff work endlessly and never complain, we found no problems with the food what so ever, theres something for everyone, we had a roast on the Sunday, a Chinese themed night which was fab, there was plenty to eat and fresh meat was cooked as requested, the wifi in the hotel was very slow, and at first I couldn't get on it but the reception staff are very helpful and will show you how to do it. The hotel is up a slight hill, but again if you don't mind this its not an issue as the town is 2 minutes walk, and then its only a 5 minute walk to the beach which is worth a visit. Overall we had no complaints apart from no air conditioning in the room only a fan in the bedroom but if you open the front door and the patio at the same time it lets through a cool breeze... and no towels are provided, I bought one for 3 euros at a local shop. We would defo go again this hotel along with the weather which the sun comes out at 9am and doesn't go in until 8-9 ish pm and its lovely and warm on a night.More

Great Hotel in Adeje/Fanabe

A labyrinthine complex with stairs and lifts seemingly going in all directions, however this is offset by the friendliest, hardworking and professional staff who all seem to enjoy going the extra mile to help you enjoy your stay. We arrived on 7th Mayat about 23.00 after checking in we were told a cold meal was available in the restaurant The food is well cooked fresh ingredients with plenty of choice, although when we arrived there wasnt a Kids Counter there was plenty of selection. Admittedly the selections were very similar each meal, but, there are only so many different meats to cook with. There is a good selection of drinks available "All Inclusive" with branded drinks available for a charge. There are 2 pools one of which is hidden away seemingly underground, follow the signs, both have plenty of sun beds and there is also a terrace above the main pool with lots of sun beds Our room was huge, we had two 3'6" beds pushed together each with individual sheets, but a huge counterpane covered them both. Wardrobe in the bedroom and the hallway. Bathroom was small but adequate, no bath, but a shower with a bath length shower tray Kitchenette with dining table and full sized Double Sofa bed with a flat screen Tv on the wall, with British Channels. Its location is handy, a British bar "The Pub" is a 2 minute walk, whilst further down the hill (5 mins) are a good selection of bars some of which open very late/early, walking back uop the hill is a bit of a chore, but, there are some strategicly placed seats, or you could pop into the Pub for a rest. Entertainment is a bit indifferent (the only thing I can find fault with) MisterSister, the best Drah Show on the island performs and is excellent.More

Fab place to stay

Brilliant place to stay. Close to bars, restaurants and shops. We went all inclusive and I can highly recommend. The food is terrific. So much choice. The rooms are fab. We had one bed this time. Really spacious. The pools are lovely. Bottom pool more relaxing than top pool as that is where families with older children tend to swim. We have been to this resort 5 times now. Definitely a place to go back to. Staff are lovely. They remember you from the times you have been before. They are so polite and helpful. I love this place and will be going again and again.More

May Holiday

Stayed here in middle of May with my Wife and 11 year old son - arrived 10:30pm and after finding our room were offered a cold meat salad meal which was very nice - we had emailed the hotel a few days before to ask for an upgraded room which was going to cost another 70euros but it was not ready. Reception said to see them in the morning to get the upgrade but we were happy enough with the apartment we got which overlooked the pool so didn't bother. Room was spacious and clean, nice wee balcony which got the sun pretty much all day, ceiling fan in bedroom which kept the room cool and enough kitchen facilities for making your own meals. We went AI and were happy with the food on offer, always find something to eat and loads of fresh fruit and salad. Eating area was nice enough and not busy when we were there although the very last day there was a lot of new guests and it was busy. The pool area was always cleaned in the morning and we could easily find a sunbed - pool not that big but my son and I were in it loads and he loved it - more so when he found a pal to play with - quite a few brits there so easy to make pals for the wee ones - pool bar for drinks for adults and kids and another round the corner for hot snacks like burgers.toasties etc. The staff would come and ask if you wanted to take part in games - volleyball in pool, darts etc but no hassle - done it a couple of times, good laugh and way to get talking to other guests.Did'nt go to evening entertainment. 10 min walk to beach where you can pay 15 euros for 2 sunbeds and loungers all day or buy a couple of mats and a parasol for about 10 euros from shops on way down. Beach was great fun, big waves coming to mess around in. On the 3rd night We had to move rooms at 3am due to a water leak from ceiling in bedroom - reception got us another room then in the morning, after we said the new room not as good as the last, they put us into an upgraded room which I thought wa the right thing to do. Much better looking/decor, better shower,TV and much better sofa bed. Would pay for one of these rooms in future. All the staff from the cleaners, reception, bar staff, canteen were all really helpfull and friendly and cannot be faulted, thanks for helping to make a really great holiday. Overall really good value for money and would deffo return.More
