Brilliant Hoiliday - Great Hotel

We stayed 1 week all inclusive at Playa Olid in May. We booked 2x premium studio rooms (4118 & 4119) which were on the ground floor at the back of the hotel, close to the smaller pool and snack bar. The rooms have a fridge, kettle, toaster and hairdryer (so safe on your luggage!). Safe is €17 for the week. We had visited the hotel a few years ago, so knew what to expect, but this time around, it was even better. The staff were friendly and helpful, all areas of the hotel were cleaned to the highest standard, especially the rooms which were cleaned more or less every day. The food was well cooked, varied and they even staged theme nights (Mexican, Spanish & Chinese) which were also very tasty. Drinks-wise, it's the usual all inclusive offering - beer, wines, soft drinks, local spirits, hot drinks - with both bars serving until 11pm. The entertainment was great for kids, with a mini disco and live show every night. Most nights, we preferred to take the short walk down to the beach front, where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Definitely worth paying a visit to "The Colonial" pub which has great atmosphere and live singer. If you can, avoid the long coach journey from the airport and take a taxi instead, only €25 1 way, takes about 10mins. The beach is right on the doorstep, 5min walk, sunlongers and parasols are €6 each all day. The hotel is also close to the local market - every Thursday and Saturday - well worth a look. Overall, a fantastic holiday, great hotel, highly recommend if you are looking to visit Costa AdejeMore

Exceeded expectations - highly recommended

I spent a week here in April with my family (including 2 children) and was really impressed. Apartments modern and clean, with daily cleaning service. Pools are OK, the family pool is a bit noisy but it was mainly due to young adults not the kids! The second pool was lovely and much quieter. I have never been on an all inclusive before so have nothing to compare it with, but there was a wide choice of food each evening with some of it being made fresh in front of you (eg steak in the evening, omelette at breakfast). I am gluten free but didn't mention it until mid-week when one of the waitresses said if I told them they would make me gluten free pizza, pasta and so on - result! They also gave me some gluten free brioche rolls and bread to take back to my room and bring in as needed. V impressed. Really friendly and helpful staff, poolside bars available. Entertainment in the evening is good for families. Would definitely go again.More

Beth S,

Great hotel

Let's get the only downside I could find out the way. The traffic is a bit noisy if you are at the front but my friends who live on a busy street had no problems and I only had a little problem. ...The staff are very helpful and pleasant all of them .The hotel is clean and the food is fine .It's the second time I've visited the hotel and recommended it to friends last year who enjoyed themselves toMore

Just returned from this hotel on Friday .what can I say cannot fault this hotel on anything . this was our first time in tenerife and now looking at returning and will be booking playa olid apartments without any hesitation . Anyone with any complaints must be very difficult to please but they also have to remember this is a three star hotel and I do nt think you can get any better than playa olid .More

Chilled out break

Just spent another lovely week at this hotel. Excellent value for money. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food was always tasty and delicious with a good selection to choose from. I would certainly recommend this hotel for those on a limited budget but who still want quality. I would definitely go back for a third time. Other guests that I spoke had also been several times so that says something about the placeMore
