When it comes to location, Playa Olid gets a solid A-plus - it's close to the beach and Siam Park waterpark. Families are well catered for, too, thanks to a child-friendly pool, spacious apartments, and buffet restaurant offering takeaway options.
Playa Olid is set in a lively corner of town with a range of bars, shops, and restaurants on its doorstep. And Tenerife’s biggest waterpark, Siam Park, is only a 5-minute drive down the road.
The beach is close, too – its curved, golden sands are less than a 10-minute stroll from the hotel, and it’s popular with both families and the surfing crowd.
Back at the hotel, there’s a pool, sunloungers, and palm trees dotted around the edge, plus its own bar. A couple of floors up, an extra sunbathing terrace with a Jacuzzi® overlooks the pool. Plus, children get their own half-moon-shaped paddling zone.
The apartments are big and bright, come with a terrace or balcony, and have fully-furnished kitchens. There’s also a buffet restaurant, where the chefs grill steak to order.

Excellent value for money, great staff
Stayed for 5 nights with a friend & would definately say will be back. We had a slight issue with our room which the staff dealt with very quickly the 1st day & we were then changed to a new room & it was lovely. Very modern & very clean. The cleaners do a great job & the apartment was well equipped. Tried breakfast the morning we were leaving & very good. Entertainment all day & night the only issue is no air conditioning which was ok this time of the year but not in middle of summer. An excellent value for money hotel & apartment.More
Just spent a week all inc here and I cannot believe how comfortable I felt from the minute of arrival to going home. The staff here are so friendly so welcoming and cannot do enough for you and they smile and appear happy. The food was great and had so much choice to please even the fussiest of eaters everything is cooked through which for me is a must. They have the use of a microwave if you wish to heat up meals I never found it necessary. The breakfast choices was without doubt the best ive seen for choice rangeing from full english to pancakes fruits yoghurts pastries all cereals range of breads toaster is really good and the Fruit Juices in the machine is the tastiest ive ever had I recommend the Multi Vitimin just so refreshing.Lunches are Like Dinner with Meat,Vegetarian Choices and Salads Fish Dishes plenty of Desserts to choose from and Ice Creams, Cheese and Crackers, Red, White and Rosey Wines all deliciouse. The appartments were so spacious immaculately clean comfy beds, comfy settee, flat screen TV with English Channels, Dining Table and Chairs, Kitchette Fridge Coffee Maker Kettle Toaster superb. The Bathroom has a big shower no bath you are supplied with plenty of toilet paper Shampoo,Liquid Soap and Another big bottle of Hand Soap to use. You have a Hairdryer so save some space and extra weight you dont need to take these extra toiletries with you.You have a 2 pool areas the main pool is heated and mainly used by families music and various activities are done throughout the day. Pool 2 is a quieter pool not heated but it didnt stop me using it. I will definately return to this Hotel again and was sad to leave it and go home your a little walk away from various shops bars and bargains. More

12 of us stayed at the playa olid for 1 week in December and it was brilliant. Our party aged from 2 years old to mid 50s and everyone was catered for. Being in a larger group you expect to run into problems but the hotel staff were very helpful and efficient and made our stay relaxing and stress free. The hotel was spotless. From the pool area to the rooms the staff were always cleaning and tidying. The food in the restaurant was the best I've ever seen in a hotel. There was always something for everyone and the staff ensured that there was food suitable for the babies. The food was freshly prepared with something different every night. During the day there was snacks served down at the second pool and the meal times were very flexible. If you want a change from the hotel food there are loads of great priced restaurants near by. The location of the hotel was also excellent. Close enough to be in amongst the bars and shops but without the noise of a main strip. Also right beside a great shopping centre and a nice walk into Las Americas. Although there was some slight noise from the bins being emptied a few times a week, it's better than not being emptied at all! The only thing that is good to know before going is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. However the thick heavy blackout curtains keep the heat out during the day and the windows let a nice breeze in at night. We were in the recently refurbished rooms. The bed was huge and comfy and there was a double pull out couch bed. There was also plenty of storage space and a safe available to hire from reception. There was a TV with British channels and laundry facilities available in the hotel. I cannot rate the playa olid highly enough and would return without hesitation. Perfect for adults, couples and families!More
Very good value and nice resort
We are a family of 4 ( 2 adults & 2 children aged 4 & 3 months), we stayed here for 7 days from 25th nov, staff were friendly & helpful, Food was good, lots of choice, mini disco still run at night for the children and every night there was an act of some description whether it be a singer, magician, light show, ventriloquist. We stayed in an old apartment, but it was spacious, clean, tidy. We would definitely go back, was 10 min walk to beach from costa adeje. Plenty of bars and and restaurants nearby ( little Italy ) on fanabe beachfront do 2 for 1 between 6-7 pm for example. We planned to eat out most nights but only ended up eating outb2 nights out of 7. There was another review on here that I read before we booked play olid, it said don't expect a 5 star from a 3 star, if you go with that in mind your have a nice time. Kids club not running at the moment during the day, but there is a lady that gets kids/ adults doing bits throughout the day around the pool. Drinks are okay too. If you want a nice cheap break outside of school holidays - try here! Would not recommend throughout schools holidays or busy periods.More
