We stayed as a family of four, 2adults, 7yr old and 3yr old in May 2016 for a week, we had amazing weather. The first choice staff work tirelessly in this hotel they were always happy, friendly, approachable and added such a positive vibe to the whole holiday experience especially Tommy and Megan. They put on activities round the pool daily for both adults and children and made everyone join in, evening entertainment was a mini disco each night which all little kids love. The food was a little unadventurous but always edible, there was always something to eat. The kids had their own separate area at the end of the buffet with the regular beige fried foods kids love. I have coeliac disease so follow a strict gluten free diet the restaurant manager and head chef were EXCELLENT they walked me round every meal time explaining what I could / couldn't eat and there was always something the paella was exceptionally tasty, they had GF cereal / bread each morning which I declined as the cooked breakfast were safe as was the fruit and yogurt. Ice creams were available all day from freezers by the pool the basic vanilla , strawberry and chocolate were tasty and gluten free. You could pay to have the branded ice creams which we did for our two occasionally. Drinks were good on an evening they brought out bottles of spirits in the restaurant area which you could help yourself too, they were replenished when empty. Lager was also on tap, as were fizzy drinks. The beach was beautiful and clean and was literally behind the restaurant area down a wooden path. There were three pools at the hotel, two good sized pools and then a smaller pool with small slides for under 5s, there was also a small "park" next to the children's park it got extremely hot though and we only travelled in May so I imagine it would be hotter in summer months. There was another park which was more shaded at the opposite side of the hotel round the back. The kids club staff were brilliant so friendly and smiley they made all the kids feel welcome and my two enjoyed the little time they spent in their as they were too busy jumping in and out of the pool all day. There are a few local little shops both directions from outside the front of the hotel. They sell cheap inflatables which are allowed in the pools. They also sell sweet little presents for family back home. The room was rather basic but had everything we needed and plenty of space for our family. The beds were not the most comfortable but you could get a nights sleep in them. The room had a large fridge too which we found really useful to keep bottled water / pop in. On an evening on the restaurant side the hotel has bouncy castles / popcorn machines / candyfloss machines / trampolines / indoor soft play area which the children can use at an additional cost I can't remember the exact cost around 5 or 6 euros I think. We played mini golf too which was free as you get a token when you arrived at the hotel which the children enjoyed. We would definitely return to this hotel as we all had a really enjoyable relaxed holiday. Thank-you to all of the staff More
Lovely place to stay with young kids
Stayed in August 2016. We had a lovely week here, the apartment was nice and modern and had 2 bedrooms which was fantastic to be able to put the kids to bed and then use the kitchen/lounge area before heading to bed ourselves. 2 bathrooms also very useful. Balcony area was good and secure (good that there is a lockable gate) and just a few steps up to ours which we managed to "walk" up our small buggies so didn't have to carry them. A heavier buggy would have made this apartment a bit more of a challenge. Kids splash pool was great - spent most of our time there. Great for the 3 year old and the 1.5 year old could crawl around happily in the shallow areas. Only question - why oh why does the water turn off at 4pm? Way too early and a big disappointment for our kids (and when you have a kid still napping you can't always choose what time you'll get to the pool). Why not have it until at least 5pm? The other pools were fine - one seemed "nicer" than the other - think it's been done up and the other hadn't. The "snacks" on offer were a little on the basic side, something that could be looked at. Food was good - I had read some reviews about the birds being an issue but I don't see how - the staff were so so fast at clearing away it was very impressive. Good selection of food for the fussy kids, lovely having Sangria and beer on tap (DIY) for the big kids. Only comments I'd have is 1) there's no nice or official way down to the restaurant when you have a buggy due to the steps, felt like we had to get down the road for delivery trucks to get to the restaurant. 2) you have to walk past the trampolines/bouncy castles/soft play to get to the restaurant - no way a kid will understand "no not tonight" so probably worth buying a bulk ticket! Daughter loved these but it did feel a shame it was extra when in a way you didn't have any choice as it was right next to the restaurant. Lovely beach, a couple of restaurants but not a resort to go to if you want to eat out at lots of different places. Kids club looked good - unfortunately our daughter hadn't been to one before so wasn't sure and didn't want to stay so can't comment on how it was but it looked good. Mini disco was great - Morgan and co did a great job. Last point - don't forget like we nearly did (and someone else on our coach did) that reception has your passport! Would be helpful if they could remind you about this before you leave!More
Perfect for littlies!
These apartments are small and quiet but perfectly formed. The resort is teeny tiny and has little or no nightlife- it's perfect for under 6s. There is a shallow splash pool, deeper family pool and another pool on the other side of the complex! The food in the restaurant was wonderful - even though all inclusive it as cooked in small batches and replenished often. The beach is a 10 minute walk with a two year old and is perfect - shallow water, sandy, unspoilt... the downside is that it's out of reach of the bar and there's no toilet facilities. When you arrive late you get water, milk and juice - unheard of anywhere else I've stayed and a blessing with small ones. The apartments are modern and clean - ac works great! Downsides? The pool bar was grubby and snacks before lunch really rather nasty - hotdogs and dried up burgers with chips under a keep-warm lid in a grubby pool area which would benefit from a steam clean! The restaurant is over the road from the hotel and you have to pass the amusements- bouncy castles, soft play, rides etc which are all pay as you go. So you can't get away with missing them - they are not hugely overpriced though so it's not too bad. A very simple holiday for young families; a hire car would enable you to see more of beautiful and unspoilt Menorca.More
Second time visit was just as great : )
This was our second year of staying at Mestral & Llebeig Apartments and we (me, my 6 year old daughter and parents) loved it! The staff remembered us from last year (hopefully on a good note!) and were so kind, friendly, made us feel so welcome and were very efficient. We definitely prefer staying in Apartments than a Hotel and they were clean, modern and had everything we needed in. The splash pool and family pool on the Mestral side were great for my daughter and although a tad cold for me great exercise. The reps put on entertainment by the pool and people were free to join in or not which was great. The beach is a 3 minute walk away and was clean, sandy and has life guards present in addition to the flags which was also reassuring. The surroundings are peaceful, quiet and beautiful. The food was always fresh and great choice for all the family - healthy or not so healthy but hey we're on holiday : ) As we had gone on the last main week before the end of season, a lot of shops were shut or had less supplies but my disappointment was the Pony Club had already shut which was a real shame as me and my daughter loved it last year and quite a few of the Trips and excursions from Thompson were crossed off the list as not available and I feel this was unfair as technically we are still "in Season" and the last 2 weeks of October are half term and therefore should be busy weeks. Apart from that really lovely holiday - hopefully we can stay longer next time : )More

Great Family holiday
Had a lovely time here! Lovely apartments, pools and staff. Food was great morning, noon and night, great little disco for the kids every night before the entertainment started. If you are looking for a lot of things to do or choice this probably isn't the place to go. This is a basic all inclusive and it is in a very quiet area, but we found it great as our little one is only 4. The beach is gorgeous too and the sea is so shallow! Would definitely recommend this holiday. Lovely place.More
