This is a late review as visited here months ago but felt I had to share my views as I had low expectations after reading reviews . Rooms are lovely, very clean so spacious and two TVs in the 2 bed apartment which was a nice touch. Balcony was so large great for storing inflatables etc... room did not get cleaned in the 4 nights we were there but they did provide mop broom dustpan etc.. bring all your own soap, Washing up liquid etc as none is provided. Pool are good with good variety for 2 adults 4 year old 8 year old and 16 year old. Sun beds were difficult to get but not impossible. Restaurant across the road was absolutely fine. I was never disappointed and I can be a bit fussy. Food was fresh hot and tasty. No problems with birds at all, maybe cause we sat inside all the time. Eve entertainment was average but the large space for kids to run around was great - as 4 year old boys do not want to sit and watch a show! The football pitch was very popular for after dinner football and also a nice touch. It is worth putting some cash aside so you can put your kids on the bouncy castle etc... as it does add to the evening as does a game of crazy golf! Beach was quite nice - I am a big beach lover so difficult to please. We had a great time and I was impressed as it is only a 3 star. Would even return again!More
We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Mestral and Llebeig. We arrived the first week of May and were the first bus load to check into the resort for the start of the summer season. From reading past reviews I had previously emailed and requested an apartment on the ground floor in the Llebeig side as had read it was quieter. However on arrival that side wasn't open just yet and we got a ground floor apartment D3 on the Mestral side. This is the side with the kids splash pool. In the end we were so glad that we got this as it was so covenant for our 4.5 year old to run up and down to the splash pool from our terrace. We could sit and have our coffee and lunch and watch her in the kids play area it was perfect. With it being the first week it started off quite but as the week went on it did get busy. I would imagine in the middle of the season this kids pool would be very busy and hard to get sun loungers. This was one of the plus being early as no problem getting a lounger. How ever the main pool was still cold and we only got into it the last day. This is a quite area of Menorca. But so lovely. The beaches are fab with clear blue waters. We hired a car(place beside the chemist was the cheapest â¬65 for 3 days no hidden extras) and went exploring, a must is Cala Galanda, beautiful beach. Lots of coastal walks around def being walking shoes as def worth a look as some beautiful spots. The kids entertainment is a highlight here. Jess and Kolby(forgive me if I don't spell it right!) are amazing as are all the kids/Thomson reps. So friendly and helpful. Entertainment at night gets all the kids involved. They remembered my daughters name which was lovely. Lots of games and entertainment around the pool durning the day. We were self catering. We only ate out 3 evenings. I would recommend if getting a car to go to some of the bigger towns to do food shopping as the supermarkets near resort are a little â¬â¬. Bouncy castles and few little things for kids to play on in the evening costs about â¬6 a night for a pass, def worth putting a little aside for this as you can sit and relax while they play. Crazy gold and large soccer area. Apartments are lovely and look like they have been done up lately. We had a one bedroom apartment but for 2 Adults and a 4 year old. How ever might be best to get a 2 bed apartment as she had to sleep on pull out sofa in living area which meant at night you had to pull out and set up the bed. And you then couldn't sit and watch tv. Wifi is good in the apartments but poor everywhere else. You could pay daily or get a weeks pass. Only one device can use the internet at a time. Over all we were very impressed with this resort. The time we went and with it being so quite suited us, maybe in the peak of season it may feel a little cramped in the resort. Will definitely return and would recommend this to friends. More
Excellent For Babies First Holiday
We stayed here as our first holiday with our son who was 10 months old at the time. the ammenaties were perfect for travelling with a small child. We had a two bed appartment which was very well kitted out perfect for making bottles and weaning food for the little one, fridge freezer, kettle, cooker, microwave. We went here solely on the recommendation of a friend of a friend who said they went back 3 times as it catered for his very young family so well and we couldnt agree more. One of the concerns we had was that after we had eaten and it was bath and bed time for our son we would be stuck in a little room with uncomfortable chairs or the like but the rooms were big, bright and had english channels on the TV, the balcony was big and had nice views out over the sea (we were on the back row of appartments as well). The Aircon was good and we were able to get it set to a consistant comfortable temperature We stayed all inclusive, no complaints about the beer and spirits the wine was only ok (the wine with the meal was better than at the bar). The food was decent enough, not 5 star by any means but there was always something we both wanted to eat each night, however the more fussy eater might have got bored and we did end up going for a pizza one night to break it up. The kids buffet had stapple kids food and there was plenty of fruit available too. We arent going back in 2017 as we want to try a bigger resort but i think we will go back in future years as we have fond memories of the pool, food, rooms and the proximity to the lovely beach.More
Great for those with young children
Lovely complex of appartment's. We stayed on the lilberg side which we had asked for as our little girl was only 18 months at the time and it was nice and quiet. Pools were nice. We went self catering so can't comment on the food. The beach was beautiful and a there was a lovely coastline pine walk. We went out every night and enjoyed food in the Chinese restaurant and I can't remember the names but there was a restaurant at either end of the costal path both were good. My only complaint was there was not enough restaurants for our liking to last us 10 days of self catering. The supermarkets were expensive and there wasn't a huge amount of food choice in them. Was a lovely holiday our first with our little girl, maybe just not enough there for us.More
great family getaway!
We went in October and weather was a bit hit and miss but it didnt ruin our stay. On arrival we were upgraded to a 3 bed apartment! it was great, very well equipped, clean and so spacious. home from home with air con! the food was great, lots to choose from and even a kids buffet section. staff were friendly. it wasn't very busy when we went so it was nice. there isn't much to do in the area and buses don't come through very often but you could hire a car very cheaply!! the beach was just a short walk away. the only downside for us was that the pools were freezing!! the kids didn't get much chance to play in kids pool, it was far to cold for me i didn't go swimming once which was a shame.More
