We have just returned from staying at the Mestral and Llebeig Apartments. Also with us was our daughter, son in law and two grandchildren aged 4 and 17 months old. We stayed in a three bedroomed apartment which was excellent, spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. We had a second floor apartment which was very safe for the children. Our apartment over looked the children's adventure pool which was fine at this time of the year. The apartments were very quiet at this time of year. There was no noise from the bar at night. The pools were a little cool and could have been warmer especially for the little ones. We were on all inclusive which was the first time we have done this. The food was excellent. The choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent with plenty of choice for children . The apartments are very handy for the beach. Also you didn't have to buy buckets and spades as they had been left by other holiday makers. Also we booked with Thomson at their Blackburn shop and we were able to fly from Manchester and our daughter and family from Stanstead which was great. Thank you Thomson. We will definitely return again.More

We had just abandoned the Hamilton Court Apartments and were looking for decent accommodation, we certainly struck Holiday Gold at the Mestral Apartments. Spacious, clean and bright with modern furniture and fittings, 2 televisions and a fully fitted kitchen, two well appointed bathrooms and a large balcony with front and side views. The complex was superbly maintained and had 3 pools, pleasant gardens and a snack bar. There was a further complex for dining and entertainment across the road.
Santo Tomas is a small quiet resort with a handful of bars and shops. The bus to Mahon or Cuitadella is convenient for days out..the bus returning for 8pm. Lots of lovely walks in the area but be warned that Binigaus Beach is a favourite haunt of nudists. Our first time in Menorca and it will not be our last. We would rate Mestral apartments as being ideal for families and Santo Tomas is a lovely resort but may be too quiet for some.More
Fantastic. Children's resort
From start to Finnish everything about this resort did everything it said on the tin everything is set around children the resort was very clean the meals were varied and of a high quality the rooms were well furnished and the all inclusive drinks were very good the entertainment for children was on from 8 until 9.30 every night and there was then adult entertainment until 11 but children were allowed to stay if parents wished I would have no hesitation in recommending this holidayMore
October 2013 we went to this great place. walk out of the appartments go straight on and 7 minutes later you are on a beach with a carrabian feel to it. theres a shop right oppersite the appartments also.
walk down the side of the beach on old style wooden decking, go right pass the all inclusive hotels and find a bar what over looks the sea for fantastic food the salad is as big as most peoples plates. mistral and llebeig apartments are a families dream two pools one which gets quite deep with a bar next to it. and a childrens pool with water slide for the smaller children and a bucket that fills up and soaks the parents making the children howl with laughter. amazing returants near by we went in October for a week and it was hot in daytime and just right in evening. get the bus to mahon for a great day out and look out for the cake shops yum yumMore

Great holiday experience for the family
Booked a late holiday in early October based on previous reviews and took our young kids (19mths and 3yrs) for a week - our first as a family. It was everything we'd hoped for and more besides. After a very early flight over and with tired kids we were glad for the direct transfer taking only 35 minutes to the resort. The 2-bed apartment was very modern, clean and surprisingly spacious compared to previous experiences aboard.
We soon settled in and enjoyed what the complex had to offer. We'd opted for the all inclusive deal, so that we didn't have to bother buying food for fussy children and cooking after a long day out and about. We were glad we'd made that decision as the daily buffets in the Las Dunas restaurant offered plenty of choice and daily variety. Even better no upset tummies - just full ones!
Poolside and evening entertainment was provided by the reps Scotty Boy and Rachel, while the kid's reps did a great job keeping our 3-year old busy. Our family spent most of the time in and out of the pools, with the Splash pool and slides proving a big hit for the kids. The beach is close by and worth trying out, although sadly while we were there the sea was choppy and on a few days infested with small jellyfish that sting (like a wasp sting).
The atmosphere around the complex was very friendly with a mixture of families and mature couples. There were a few people we met that had been going there for years which was reassuring to hear. Overall a great holiday, good value for money and our kids loved their first holiday aboard. A tough act to follow for next year...More
