Built in 2006, this place exudes contemporary style. With a courtyard-style design, the hotel looks in on itself through huge walls of floor-to-ceiling glass. And at the heart of it all is an open-air area where the curvy pool resides. Sunk into a decked terrace, hemmed with white sun loungers and parasols, it's a sleek sanctuary of calm.
Inside, it's just as chic. Light, modern and minimalist - think Miami cool not sleepy Spanish. The lobby bar sets the tone with its trendy, white leather sofas and chequered floors. Likewise, the bar salon looks more like a nightspot with its funky bar stools and red-splashed walls. Even the buffet restaurant could give a city eatery a run for its money with its crisp white tablecloths and contemporary artwork.
The bedrooms live up to the rest of the hotel. Decorated in blocks of neutral shades, they come with modern furnishings like retro-print chairs and huge wall-mounted headboards. You also get a balcony or terrace and extras like satellite TV, air-conditioning and a minibar.
Facilities-wise you're spoilt, too. There's a fully-equipped gym with all the latest machines. A serene spa with an extensive menu of beauty treatments. And the piece de resistance, a state-of-the-art indoor pool with a whirlpool bath and steam room.
