Playa Azul

This hillside hotel has a pool with a view, plus it’s just a 3-minute walk to Cala’n Porter beach.

Playa Azul offers sweeping views of the coastline, whether you’re poolside or on the bar’s al fresco terrace. Plenty of the rooms have sea views and there are bungalows you can stay in, too.

The hotel has its own buffet restaurant, and Cala’n Porter beach and town centre are both just 3 minutes away on foot.

The Playa Azul - a joy

my partner and I have just returned from a week at the wonderful Playa Azul - from the first hello to the final farewell we were treated to a marvelous experience. unusually for us we didn't read numerous reviews prior to visiting, we chose on the write up of the holiday company. I had previously visited Cala en Porter but had never stayed. On our return I have checked out trip advisor to see how our thoughts compared with others. It appears ours are akin to almost everyone else's. The Hotel is spotless, the staff friendly and accommodating, the food was always plentiful and of excellent quality - a little too good on the puddings and sweets! I could wax on lyrically about the place for hours, but most of the good parts have already been highlighted by other visitors. The staff at the hotel appear to take a pride in their hotel and rightly so - a stay at the Playa Azul is a joy and a return visit will certainly be arranged in the near future. Well done to all that make it such a great place to stay.More

A really great holiday

We arrived at the Playa Azul on 27 August for 1 week. Our choice of this hotel was based on the excellent tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The bedrooms and public areas were spotlessly clean and the staff throughout the hotel were very helpful, friendly and efficient. In the restaurant there was always a wide choice of food on offer, with lots of salads, cold meats and cheese and hot dishes with a variety of meat, fish and vegetables. The excellent food and the friendly attentive staff made mealtimes a real pleasure. We were all inclusive and were happy with the choice of drinks available and the friendly service from the bar staff. The pool area was kept very clean and sunbeds were always available. The hotel had great views over the beautiful beach below accessed by the much discussed 180 steps. We went down to the beach several times and had no problem with these steps, we simply took care going down and came back up at our own pace. I should add that we are both in our seventies. The beach can also be accessed by road. We had a great holiday and would strongly recommend this hotel. We will be back next year and this time it will be for two weeks.More

None stop work to keep the guests happy.

Returned from this lovely hotel last night. We had a lovely time. Food amazing, staff always polite and helpful. Rooms kept spotlessly clean and I was amazed that if we had a lie in the cleaners had been back later to make the beds etc. I feel that this hotel deserves a higher rating. I do not have anything negative to say about it.Thanks for a lovely relaxing holiday. Not so many thanks for the fact that our clothes are too tight due to the amount of your wonderful food your chefs made. ;-) More

Great place

We have just returned from the Paya Azul being 4 people in early 60s and the welcome from Inmar when we arrived late due to plane delay, was warm and friendly. She quickly contacted the restaurant to ensure that we could still get food although they were closing. Our room was quite spacious although our friends room was rather 'bijou' but they had stunning views. The Playa Azul is a clean, extremely well run hotel, this is reflected in the the smiley faces of the staff. On that note, I have to say the staff are wonderful. We never came across anyone who wasn't 100% friendly. One day, we were sat in a nearby bar when our cleaner walked past and stopped to say Hello! They are amazing and work long hours. I would particularly like to thank, Inmar, Victor, Manolo and the very wonderful Maria . The food was fine, I have a very picky husband but he was always able to fine something he liked. The desserts are especially good. The pool is beautifully clean as is the rest of the hotel. I have only one suggestion for the hotel, that would be to improve the coolness of their drinks. Beers and wine are a bit warm. Small complaint however, loved the holiday!More

"Simply Perfect"

On arriving at the Playa Azul Hotel it soon became clear that it would be a great holiday. Silvia on reception was very welcoming and very efficient at booking us in we felt at home immediately. The hotel is situated in what can only be described as a stunning location overlooking the beautiful bay at Cala'n Porter. All the staff here are very friendly and cannot do enough for you, again adding to the overall amazing experience (Victor and Jesus were particularly memorable). The hotel itself is spotlessly clean everywhere - the restaurant is a prime example of what any restaurant should look like - VERY clean and welcoming to eat in. The food could not be faulted and plenty of it at all times. The drinks were also of good quality and a good choice. The entertainment was a little indifferent and not regular but as others have said there is plenty of alternative venues within five minutes walk if that is what you desire. We were all inclusive and felt for the price that it was very good value for money. It should be noted that there is a fee for the room safe (12 euros plus a 6 euro refundable deposit) also the wifi is 15 euros for the week for one device but it is unlimited and available all over the hotel with good speed for Spain! We will definitely be going back as soon as possible to enjoy once again this beautiful hotel and stunning location. Book without worry - you will not be disappointed. Mr P & Mrs N GrangerMore
