Hotel Valentin Star

This adults-only hotel has a huge pool, along with great views over Cala’n Bosch’s famous saltwater lake.

This just-for-adults hotel overlooks Cala’n Bosch marina and is just steps from the town’s restaurants and bars. There’s also a sandy Blue Flag beach just a 5-minute walk away.

The pool here’s a major feature – it’s long and curving. Main meals are covered at the buffet. And entertainment runs from morning ‘til night, with everything from language lessons to live shows.

fantastic hotel

i have only positive things to say about this hotel, our first time in menorca and it lived up to all we had heard about. the cleanliness of the hotel, the food was great all tastes catered for. we had a upper poolside room which looked onto the stage, we could watch the shows and fall straight into bed. the entertainment team led by stefan made sure everyone was catered for. i had read that on arrival all guests were met with a cold flannel and water we seem to have missed out on this it would have been very welcome as the temp was 30dgs, but a quick cold beer did the job. the cheerful staff in all departments helped make this one of the best holidays we have had. if i did not have so much to do on my retirement bucket list i would certainly go back.More

Not A La cart

I agree fully with Ray W on all points Hotel was superb meaning staff and cleanliness but fully let down by the food and the Junior Suite we were allocated supposedly an upgrade probably refused by someone else who got to the hotel before us,same as Ray W was ground floor and our view was the same looking out to a imitation grass fence and very small patio area. As for the food can't see why reviews rave about the food it was very mediocre with cheap cuts of meat consisting of mainly bone with little meat on. On one night the best they could offer for meat if you didn't want curry was a burger poor for a supposedly 4 star hotel. The private taxi is OK if you don't get the speed merchant we had both ways.More

verry happy

just returned after 10 days at this hotel, and wishing I was back. the most friendly staff I ever met is the hotels biggest asset in my opinion. had a junior suite, so was facing the road, but once double glazing was shut not a was really good so many choices you would have to be very fussy not to be well fed.....true to get a bed where you want it you may have to get up about 8-30 we brits are as bad as rest of the world at that....spoke to someone overlooking the marina, they were happy with their rooms but I think when we go back lookin at rooms 301-320 pool view. shops and pubs nearby, usefull cause drinks can be expensive in hotel. but all in all great placeMore

A la Carte,I don't think so!

Let's start with the good points Hotel is very clean, staff are very friendly and co-operative,and the evening shows are in the main good. The pool area is nice, but far too small, you cannot possibly find room for over 400 guests, and if you do not get a sunbed by 8.30,you are going to struggle. The hotel say do not reserve sunbed a,but they start saving them from7 30,and they don't say a word, look out couples who. Save 3 chairs. For 2 people, and leave the middle one with just a towel on it We paid an extra £70 for a junior suite, nice size room, but overlooking the road,as they are all on the ground floor,we had a terrace looking out at a imitation grass fence, with an Irish bar the other side of the road,YOU MUST GET A POOL ROOM,but it won't be a junior suite. A lot of reviews rave about the FOODbut to be honest it is only AVERAGE,with a lot of same things every night, and poor quality over cooked vegetables. The drinks are on par with most other hotels we've stayed in,the house wine is just under 19 euros a bottle, but we were having the Rioja at 22 euros a bottle, that's about £18,most english hotels charge more than that. We travelled with Thomsons,so no complaints there, but Thomsons,it is NOT,an A LA CARTE rated hotel,we have stayed in many of your platinum rated hotels, much better than this one.More
