A varied selection of international dishes at breakfast and dinner with show cooking and various themed evenings during the week are on offer here. Just so you know, gentlemen will need to wear full-length trousers to dinner.
The hotel was great with good food and the staff where fantastic. We got there and was told that we had got a room upgrade to a junior suite at no extra cost. The pool is nice and big and the day and night time entertainment was good or fantastico as we say around the pool.

We have just returned from 1 week at the Valentin Star.
From when we entered (very late after 5.5 hour delay at Doncaster), we received nothing but efficient, friendly, helpful service from staff who obviously enjoy their work and walk around with a smile on their faces. You are made to feel very special.
The entertainment is better than the usual hotels with professional acts being the standard rather than the usual in-house entertainment (mind you the musical quiz was most enjoyable). Lydia and Stefan deserve full praise for gently encouraging guests to take part in activities rather than trying to push people to do this.
The food is exceptional, especially the quality and freshness of the fruit and veg, the meat and fish dishes (both freshly cooked by the chef or meat and fish dishes on the hot plates). As for the desserts, these were individual works of art.
The wine we did not find over-expensive and we did have a bottle with our dinner on most evenings. The bar drinks were on a level with most 4* hotels in this country.
The rooms are large and balcony also roomy, and spotlessly clean - this is a standard throughout the hotel.
To end this review, I must congratulate all members of staff on an extremely efficient and happy hotel.More

Great customer service
Spent 10 days in September. The first room we had was not suitable mainly because we don't like the air con on at night so have the door open. Unfortunately we were over the road which had a loose metal strip running from one side to the other. Every time a car came over it rattled. I had a bad nights sleep so went down to reception the next morning to see if another room was available. We were offered a poolside room at an extra 12 euro a night. This was fantastic. Ground floor, perfect for us. All the rooms are beautiful with tea and coffee facilities, fridge, robes and slippers. We never met a member of staff who didn't say acknowledge us. Everyone was so helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Evening meal was also buffet style but a bit chaotic at times. It seemed rather random in its layout. Plenty of food but everyone was wandering around with some food on their plate looking at what else was available. It would have been better to have all the hot meat dishes together, all the hot veg together, salad etc. Sometimes they were slow in replenishing empty dishes of food. That said the variety was great. Would like to have seen plain boiled potatoes at most meals, not just on our last day. A few petty rules cause some embarrassment. We took our drinks from the main hotel bar into the dining room and were told not to do it again. Apparently you could not take the remainder of a bottle of wine to the outside bar of the hotel. Bit counter productive because we bought our drink from the supermarket and drank it on our patio. The hotel's loss!! I think I do understand why some of these "rules" exist but from what I saw of the clientele it was hardly the booze brigade. Philistine as I am I prefer a gin and tonic with my meal. Not available in the dining room unfortunately. So we just had water!! That said this did not in any way spoil our holiday. Avoid room 172 if you are a light sleeper. The poolside rooms are much quieter and worth the extra money. The whole place is kept beautifully clean. The reception area is a cool quiet haven with a big dish of apples always available. We would definitely go back again and have recommended it to friends. There are plenty of activities for those who want to participate but it never spoilt it for those who just wanted to paddle or swim in the pool. No shortage of sun beds. Just a lovely holiday.More

Wonderful hotel. Room spacious ,bed very comfy a lovely attention to details. Check in was swift and efficient and staff welcoming. Food excellent, we must have put on pounds, everything was so appetizing, all public areas were spotless and very comfortable, we can't really find fault at all, yes the clientell were of the more mature age range but then I so are we .Stefan you did make us smile with your constant magnifico and I love you.. The best act for us was the Drifters, they were very good. The hotel is central ,and with a bus stop close by it's easy to get out and about. Special thankyou to San ,our chamber maid, so lovely. The most relaxing holiday we have ever had
We were in a very spacious room for 9 Days, with all of the amenities, the Hotel was brilliant with all of the Standards that you would expect from a 4 Star Hotel, but it was the Brilliant Staff that made our Holiday.
The Dining Staff were fantastic, as were the Reception Staff, the waiters and waitresses, the people cleaning the Hotel were exceptional, everyone was really friendly, the Entertainment Staff were brilliant, especially the young girl and the Lifeguards who made the sport side of the entertainment fun and the person in charge of them who compared all of the entertainment in the evening, but beware he is a Professional Pool Volleyball player, who splashes everyone, (Only Joking) had a Great time in the Pool.
It was the Great Staff that made this Hotel, we loved it.
Cannot Recommend this Hotel Highly enoughMore
