Hotel Valentin Star

This adults-only hotel has a huge pool, along with great views over Cala’n Bosch’s famous saltwater lake.

This just-for-adults hotel overlooks Cala’n Bosch marina and is just steps from the town’s restaurants and bars. There’s also a sandy Blue Flag beach just a 5-minute walk away.

The pool here’s a major feature – it’s long and curving. Main meals are covered at the buffet. And entertainment runs from morning ‘til night, with everything from language lessons to live shows.

7 nights holiday with Jet 2.

Just had an wonderful holiday at the above hotel, and enjoyed every minute. We arrived Saturday the 2nd of May at around 1pm,having flown from Leeds Bradford Airport on a Jet 2 Flight, and transferred to the hotel by coach, the journey being well organised. We booked in at reception and were pleased to find our room was in a very good position, as we had upgraded to a room overlooking the pool. The room was excellent and had everything one could wish for. The dining was buffet style but was really well organised and had an excellent selection of food, both for breakfast and dinner, also good quality food with very friendly staff. Entertainment was provided every night and was good, also through the day, there were various activities, although we did not partake. We would certainly recommend this hotel, and would also point out it is adults only so is nice and quiet.More

Good - but not perfect, room for improvement.

Currently staying here. Upon arrival, before midday, we were delighted that our room was ready, reception staff very helpful and check-in was without delays. Room is good, fridge with a couple of bottles of water. Kettle in room which we were unaware of so our little travel kettle from home not required this time. Safe in room which is €3 per day plus returnable deposit. Pool towels €10 each returnable deposit but €1 each should you wish to change them during your stay - not what I would expect, especially when staying for 2 weeks, either change or the prospect of very hard towels at the end of the holiday. I see there are many reviews complementing the food, I would agree with the variety available though not as extensive as in other hotels I have stayed in but more than enough choice. The huge disappointment is the hot food is barely warm and only then if you can locate a hot plate. The coffee served at breakfast likewise - do not leave to cool. It is a fine balance to keep food hot and not spoil it by it becoming over dry but currently it should be kept hotter. I do wonder if this is why there is a microwave located in the restaurant. Pool area is very quiet and peaceful. Sadly the location of the sun loungers is so close together that there is a lack of personal space, you almost need to stand on the lounger next to you to get up and given the average age of guests I would mark this down for being hopelessly difficult in some instances. There is also an in-house ruling forbidding consumption of drinks /food not purchased in the hotel. Drink prices in the evening are more than you will pay externally but isn't that the case with all hotels, but they are fairly pricey similar to UK prices. Good location for walks around the marina and there is a small selection of shops located a few minutes away, supermarkets, pharmacy and a few souvenir, clothes shops. Currently it is still the beginning of the season so it is fairly quiet in the evenings but can imagine that being totally different come high season. Other positives - hotel staff extremely polite, reception staff only too willing to help with any queries and advice on local area, rooms are cleaned exceptionally well. Other negatives - wifi is at best intermittent and very slow, though if working is available throughout hotel. Apparently Sky News available on TV channel again intermittent transmission of this station loses sound, no picture, pity as we were trying to follow election....... Still BBC world available but not always giving current info, but I didn't come here to watch TV so not a huge problem - only if you offer a service it should work 100%. All in all a good choice of hotel and location just need some improvements to make it a great choice for me, but for all the little downsides don't be put off staying here.More

One of the best holidays ever

We stayed for 10 days at the beginning of October after 2 recommendations from friends and also reviewing the Trip Advisor comments. We were not disappointed. Brilliant value for money. We had a 1st floor room overlooking the pool. Room was spacious, spotless and had all amenities including a very welcome fridge. Food at breakfast and dinner was superb and varied and plentiful. Hotel facilities were excellent but the best feature of the holiday was the staff. In every department the staff were brilliant. Friendly and happy and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back to stay. More
