Hotel Valentin Star

This adults-only hotel has a huge pool, along with great views over Cala’n Bosch’s famous saltwater lake.

This just-for-adults hotel overlooks Cala’n Bosch marina and is just steps from the town’s restaurants and bars. There’s also a sandy Blue Flag beach just a 5-minute walk away.

The pool here’s a major feature – it’s long and curving. Main meals are covered at the buffet. And entertainment runs from morning ‘til night, with everything from language lessons to live shows.

Too many stars for this hotel

Very good +55 adults only hotel (not a +18!) It should be also a 3 star maximum! (rather than 4 star currently) NEGATIVE : - no choice of coffee in the morning (americano only!) - no young people in the hotel - dinner starts and finish very early (which is not typical for Spain) - wine is super expensive - entertainment for +55 years old - very bad ventilation in the bathroom! (you can feel hot humid air all the time) - no Wifi, except in the room and reception area (but very slow) - cleaning of the rooms is very basic POSITIVE : - all the staff on the reception do a very good job! and are very welcomingMore

Evgeny S,

Excellent hotel

We visited this hotel mid June for 2 weeks. We couldn't fault the staff or the cleanliness of the hotel. All of the staff went out of their way to acknowledge you . The breakfasts were some of the best we have had with plenty of choice . I loved the smoothies. I did struggle at dinner sometimes but hubby didn't seem to have the same problem! I like salads but there wasn't a great choice. The drinks are quite expensive and I do like a glass of wine with my dinner but felt the bottles were a little overpriced. Instead I had water and after dinner we went across the road to the local bar and had a lovely night for about 15 euros. Our room was very clean. The only disappointment was that our bathroom seemed to be for a disabled person. Only a shower with flimsy curtain and small sink. We didn't realise how basic it was until we walked past another room and saw the marble surfaces. By then we had settled into the room. We overlooked the main road but found it wasn't too noisy and the balcony got the sun all day. Didn't even try to get a sunbed as there are some lovely beaches. The area is lovely and if you walk along the coast the views are lovely. We went scuba diving 8 days of our holiday and had a lovely walk back from the dive centre having a picnic on the rocks at the lighthouse. A trip to cituedella is a must. The cathedral is well worth a visit (10euros each but you also get entry to the convent round the corner). Bear in mind the shops close for siesta. There is also a very large marina there . Bus is 1.95 euros each way and takes about 25 minutes. We had a lovely time and are going back in october.More

Not enough space!

Staff are very friendly. Overall, the hotel is mo more than adequate - how it gets 5* on the reviews suggests beats me. Its facilities are 4*, its food is 3.5*. A minor niggle is that they have the audacity to charge €3 per day for the key to the (too small for a laptop) in-room safe - this in a €200 a night room. Taking the p... methinks. The main problem with the place is that the pool area is too small for the number of roasting bodies. This afternoon, for example, the pool is FULL and so are most of the tightly packed sunbeds. The closest beach continues the overcrowded theme, so there's nowhere to escape!More

Roy H,

Amazing hotel

Just stayed for a week at this hotel, staff were so friendly, choice and quality of food was superb. We were given a bottle of Cava on arrival with bottled water in the fridge and I celebrated my birthday while there and received a further bottle of Cava from the hotel. The location is lovely, the marina is good to walk round each evening. We had no problem with getting a sunbed each day and the pool water is warm. Evening entertainment is generally tribute bands, all were excellent. Can't wait to return.More

Recently stayed here for a week. Friendly staff. Food in buffet restaurant excellent and varied. Evening entertainment a hit or a miss depending on where you sat. Whether pool terrace or marina terrace but that didn't stop you from enjoying yourself.More
