You get a big pool and a choice of bars at this hotel, which is just a stone’s throw from a pretty beach.
This hillside complex overlooks the sea. On top of this, it flaunts the full round-up of bars, with everything from an English pub to a laid-back piano bar serving cocktails. For meals, there's a buffet restaurant offering live show cooking.
It’s less than a five-minute walk to the crescent-shaped, sandy beach – there’s a walkway opposite the hotel that’ll take you straight there. And it’s not much further to restaurants and bars.

Don't forget the kettle!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and were very pleased with it. There were 2 bathrooms both clean and bright, both with baths with showers over. The kitchen area was small but we were half board so didn't use it except to make teas and coffees. Various saucepans etc and china but no kettle so we were glad we'd taken one. Dining table and coffee table were both a good size and plenty of chairs. From the balcony we could watch the evening entertainment and see the pool. It was a two minute walk along the pool to get into the hotel. Food was above expectations as it wasn't an expensive holiday. Lots of choice at breakfast and in the evening, always something different and friendly staff. We used WiFi in the entrance area which was fine. The entertainment was good, just one hour so not noisy later on. The canned music coming up from the pool area during the day was rather repetitive but not loud. The pool was a bit chilly but the sea was fine. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops very nearby so you could easily eat out if you wished. All in all we were very pleased with everything and would recommend the hotel and the resort for a relaxing holiday.More
We stayed at the hotel some 25 year ago and had a great holiday in what was an upmarket hotel which for instance held international chess competitions. We have just returned from a fresh visit and found that little has changed except that sadly it can no longer be thought of as upmarket. The rooms were comfortable enough an have at some stage been refurbished, this said, the bath tap looked like the original without a hint of shine left on it. The staff were hard working and generally friendly. Live entertainment was fine and varied to suit most tastes. The real let down was the food. Breakfast was good enough with the usual choices but dinner was very disappointing. There were some very strange cuts of meat the look of which was enough to put you off. Everything was over cooked and often tasteless. In addition the food was generally only lukewarm. There was very little choice should you be a vegetarian. Would we stay here again, sadly no. Unless there was a marked improvement to the standard of food provided.More
Galdana bananas were not charmers!
We had visited this resort on a day trip last year hence the decision to stay here. On arrival the hotel seemed clean and presentable and well laid out. The pool area however was pretty basic and right next to the main road. All through our stay the staff were hard working and friendly and did a brilliant job, especially the maid who looked after our very spacious apartment. On balance then a good hotel so such a shame it was let down so badly by the food. Basically there was quantity but very little quality on offer, most noticeable was the meat, however many things including better fruit juice, coffee, sausages and even bananas would have been appreciated. Decided to eat out for the last few days as there is a restaurant down the road that serves fantastic meals and curry!More

Nearly but not quite .
We've just returned from a week at this hotel . On the whole , we were happy , but odd little things just took the shine off it . Starting with the positives , great location, a very short traffic free walk to a gorgeous beach , good , and varied , entertainment every evening , all kept very clean and we found all the staff very helpful , friendly and hard working . We only stayed around the pool on one day but had no problem with sun beds . We even enjoyed one to one Spanish lessons with Daniel and Vanessa . But on the down side , we would echo the earlier comments about the lack of information about the availability of kettles etc. and the dining experience left a bit to be desired . After a few days it seemed to be quite repetitive , a lack of fresh vegetables , some of the meat on offer wasn't particularly appealing , and as a previous reviewer noted , a lot of noise of crashing cutlery , plates being cleared and scraped , and it often seemed more like a canteen . Previous comments on people ignoring the dress code and turning up in shorts and vests were correct , but perhaps they were reflecting the canteen atmosphere . Or not . On our last night we gave up and went down the road for a curry ! We were quite happy with our room , we had taken note of earlier reviews and booked a high , sea view room which is exactly what we got ( room 520 ). Overall we had a good time with no regrets .More
Not really 4* but comfortable
Spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.Hotel staff polite, considering the number of guests it did not seem too crowded.Enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and dinner.Plenty of choice, fresh gridled fish and meats each evening ,many other dishes.Always fresh salad and fruit available. Sun beds are a problem due to selfish people leaving towels as soon as possible, sometimes not using them until hours later.Pool attendant really should remove them. The reality is that for all guests to get a sun bed the area would need to be enormous. We had no problem finding one each day.All in all it is what it is--a large busy hotel with hundreds of tourists.A lovely beach and small marina.A beautiful cove.Would recommend .More
