A central hotel with great entertainment, the Globales Hotel Santa Ponsa Park/Pionero has got all corners covered. Two roomy pools offer up a whole cast of water-based activities, and come evening live shows are on the cards. Rooms are nice and spacious, too.
Right in the heart of the seaside town of Santa Ponsa, this complex has got everything on its doorstep. Forget tracking down bus stops and hunting for cabs - the beach, bars, restaurants and shops are all within flip-flopping distance.
But this place has got more than just location on its side - there’s the actual hotel facilities, too. Star billing goes to its impressive entertainment menu. You’ve got a selection of daytime activities like water polo, archery and volleyball, while live shows pick up the baton in the evening. Kids aren’t left out either - they get their own playroom, and kids aged five and over can join in the fun at the hotel’s hobby club.
Then there's a couple of big swimming pools to consider, complete with a kids section, set into a good-sized sun terrace. And there are plenty of sunbeds and thatched parasols out here, too.
Step inside, meanwhile, and you’ll find the bedrooms. They’re light, spacious and simply styled with whitewashed walls and light wood furniture. What’s more, they all come with private balconies.

The charismatic charm of Majorca
I wasn't completely impressed at the start, it seemed like an average establishment but once we got settled in, the attention to detail and the extra mile the staff took to make us feel homely were really refreshing. I ended up really liking the charms of this place and would be happy to return.More

Amazing family holiday, great fun and hospitable hotel!
About 4 years ago, my family and I stumbled upon this hotel. We have not looked back since, every year when the time comes to book our holiday we return to the friendly Pionero/Santa ponça park. This hotel is the perfect family holiday, the activities for kids are on point, the activities for adults (big kids) are even more on point with lots of things to keep toddlers, teens and parents happy! The staff are all so lovely, Especially the bar staff and the men greeting you for dinner! The food is beautiful with lots of things for the picky eaters and adventurous alike. This hotel does not have an amazing view but it is gorgeous to sit out at night and take in the sounds and relax, last year we had a room in the park hotel on the 4th or 5th floor closest to the sea so we had a little bit of a view but you don't even spend that much time on your room any way so it's ok. Rooms are acceptable and clean, maid service is great! We go half board instead of all inclusive and I must say it is good because we like to have a bit of freedom from the hotel at night (ie have dinner in hotel then go to a bar or the beach etc etc) and during the day you can buy burgers, hotdogs, chips etc for crazy prices like â¬2 I think and the staff are so nice, for example they gave us free chips a few times, it's these little personal touches that really make a holiday complete! Another point which is important, a medical centre is across the road an a bigger medical centre is a bit down te road, ask at reception for information, but I was ill one year on holidays and I got seen to so quickly and I was right as rain after a few days, It really put my mind at ease knowing there was a medical centre a five minute walk away! Wifi average enough, also if you don't have a wristband for all inclusive (ie half board) and you pay for your drinks then they give you better drinks, as in they make the coffee freshly, add cream to your hot chocolate etc. very easy to make friends at the pool/through games so it is a very social holiday. All facilities are fab, if you are considering going to this hotel then go and thank me after a wonderful time soaking up the sun beside the pool at this wonderful hotel. It will be a holiday you will never forget and you will crave it to come back the next time, trust me! :) 5/5More
dont listen to the bad reviews
I don't normally write a review but I always have a look on here but I feel due to some of the not so ones on here I will go the opposite way I came to this hotel end of Sept for a 5 night stay with my wife and her aunty this was my 5th time in the hotel apart from 1 stay at the santa ponsa park and I have booked directly with the hotel to come again in June 15 with a party of 5 adults and 2 kids so can this hotel be as bad as some people make out? yes it is a bit dated and needs a paint job here and there but what hotels don't need this from time to time the rooms are big enough for 2 adults and a child views are limited due to it being down a side road but if you just want to sit on your balcony and stare at people in a pool instead of enjoying your holiday then this hotel is not for you after all you only need a room in which to shower and sleep the entertainment team work very hard to please all guests which is nearly an impossible task but they do try all the staff are polite and friendly from the cleaners down to the bar staff who work long hours having to put up with some i am afraid to say very very ignorant british people yes you do have to wait to be served for a few minutes as there never is enough staff to go around but patience is sadly lacking in some guests I stood behind 1 English guy who just said 2 beers to the lady behind the bar no please or thank you come on people good manners do not cost anything I ordered my drinks in poor Spanish which made her smile and I asked her how she put up with it she just shrugged and said we are used to it but bad manners really gets my goat getting sunbeds is the same problem as in most hotels but if you saw towels on a bed with no one there for at least an hour then use your heads and remove them if anyone comes and complains just say finders keepers and tough luck the night entertainment was pretty good with 2 tribute bands on and the normal bingo in about 4 different languages if you didn't like it then dont moan about it go into the bars to be entertained and pay stupid money for the same drinks you get in the hotel which you have already payed for as for paying for extra pillows that's rubbish if you want extra just ask politely at reception and you will find they are very accommodating the only problem I find with the all inclusive is that you can only use the bar in your hotel your in unless you pay for the black wristband the 1st time I stayed here you could use the facilities in all 3 hotels that's the only gripe I have overall I had once again had a great time in this hotel hence why I have booked to go again well done Regards JohnMore
We sat on the transfer bus in Palma airport for 45 minutes and then traveled to Santa Ponsa via Maguluf which took another 1 1/2 hours.,not a good start. The grumpy driver then drove past our hotel and was not pleased when he had to turn back.I had asked months ago if I could have a room near my sister in law as she is semi disabled but on booking in was told no.We were nowhere near each other which made things a bit difficult and with only one lift working most days, could not use the stairs because of her disability. The rooms were ok ,that is until I lost an earring and looked under the bed,not a pretty site,I couldn't believe the dirt under there. Then the maids forgot we existed and didn't clean the room for nearly 2 days. And as for the bottle of wine in the warm fridge, well it was off, as was everybody else's.No aircon working only fan. The first day we couldn't find a sunbed or even a chair in the sun. The second day we found a sunbed but it was mostly in the shade because of the tall trees that block the sun out.By the third day I got it worked out.Up at 6-30, pitch black, stars still out, towels ready,to find that all the sun beds that would be in the sun and there's only one side of the pool that stayed in the sun all day, were gone.Gutted. The main pool is quite nice but the indoor pool was never open. The food is good most of the time and the wine with the meals was great and ice cold. We had a couple of surprises .The first was there was no drinking water in our rooms. We had to go to a supermarket and buy it.You could get a plastic glass from the bar if you queued up for about 30 minutes.I thought we were all inclusive and if you want an extra pillow and believe me,you do,you have to pay for it.The pillow is about two inches thick. Then there was the coach driver who dropped everyone off at the sister hotel next door. All day long we watched people with their luggage trying to find a route around the sun beds to find the reception.WHY. If you like bingo in the afternoon then again at night, this is the place to be,along with the very amateur entertainment team,we were fighting for chairs outside so we didn't have to listen to it. Saying that the Michael Jackson tribute band were fantastic pity they were leaving for Tenerife the next day. Next queuing at the bar was not funny,it was a joke. Cocktails out of a machine that all tasted the same and usually only one person serving. Everybody grumbling. The good thing about this place was there were some nice staff, lady who was behind the bar and the guy in the pizza place, very friendly. The staff as you entered the dining room were lovely, full marks. The massage tent near the pool ,brilliant and most of all,the lovely people we met .All in all,you get what you pay for and we didn't pay a lot but water and a decent pillow is a must.Isn't it? Despite every thing we did have a good time because we laughed everything off and it gave us a lot to talk about. Needless to say.we paid for a taxi back to the airport ( money well spent) instead of getting picked up four hours before the flight. We took our time and had a lovely breakfast. I think we must have been to a different hotel to some of the reviewers.More

stayed here for a short break last week, hotel was lovely and clean, staff all very pleasant and helpful, not much entertainment on as the last week of the season and hotel very quiet but entertainment team always about for a chat/joke etc and looked after the kids. Food was nice and always found plenty to eat, compared well with other same class AI i have been to...for end of October the weather was really nice however resort was getting quieter by the day as it closed down for the winter....like Santa Ponsa and will probably be back next year and would use hotel again, really good value for moneyMore
