Right in the heart of the seaside town of Santa Ponsa, this complex has got everything on its doorstep. Forget tracking down bus stops and hunting for cabs - the beach, bars, restaurants and shops are all within flip-flopping distance.
But this place has got more than just location on its side - there’s the actual hotel facilities, too. Star billing goes to its impressive entertainment menu. You’ve got a selection of daytime activities like water polo, archery and volleyball, while live shows pick up the baton in the evening. Kids aren’t left out either - they get their own playroom, and kids aged five and over can join in the fun at the hotel’s hobby club.
Then there's a couple of big swimming pools to consider, complete with a kids section, set into a good-sized sun terrace. And there are plenty of sunbeds and thatched parasols out here, too.
Step inside, meanwhile, and you’ll find the bedrooms. They’re light, spacious and simply styled with whitewashed walls and light wood furniture. What’s more, they all come with private balconies.

A lot of complaints in previous reviews regarding spelling, so will put the dictionaries in the post. Anyway, this is not an English lesson its about holidays. Hotel was great, very clean, food was good with lots of choice. Entertainment team worked very hard and encouraged people to join in. Beach is only a short walk away. Lynnedunn1961- are you the lady from Stoke who used to ask for vodka with your cornflakes? Cant believe you pooed in the pool.More
sorry for swearing but what the bloody hell do people moan about the pionera for . we stayed here in august 2013 . four adult and one child . we had a fantastic holiday the food was excellent and everywhere was very clean . ok there could have been more etertainment but the local enertaiment team was fantastic and worked so hard to keep people happy . there was a snack bar with pizza chips burgers etc so if you didnt want a meal you could always get something to eat . and for the person who is moaning about the hotel as they have just been on a cruise well its majorca not a cruise and learn how to spell on your complaints . i would go back tomorrow to the pionera .More

Not for a lively holiday or English holidaymakers (full of Italians, old ones)
This hotel is pretty decent if you're in your 60s but for young couples and families its pretty poor tbh. Its actually so boring. I met about two English families there the rest were Scottish, Irish but most were Italian old people. It was my fault tbh as the individual I went with wasn't really in the same sort of mindset as me to what a young lads holiday should be. I wanted a decent hotel with good food in a great location and a lively atmosphere. It was great for food and as a hotel but miles away from the main strip and in a boring location. The resort itself isn't bad and is full of plenty young irish people which was great for me seeing as im English, irish girls love you. But yeh just don't go here for a lively holiday. The food as well does get boring after about 3 days. If you're young you will feel out of place here. More
Hotel was clearly winding down for end of the season while we there and didn't try to hide it. Location was excellent (local beach and lots to do near by) and the food and facilities were OK. The choice was pretty good but didn't vary much so became familiar after a few meals. The entertainers, Alejandro and Cindy, were exceptional and made it great fun. Even laying on extra entertainment for the children on last day, Halloween, when nothing was scheduled. My son loved it and it was mainly down to the entertainment team.More

we stayed at the santa ponsa park for four mights after we had been on a fab cruise with thompson .It was to be blunt pretty bad the worst part being the food in the food area we always had to clear a table at breakfast and dinner time ourselves so had dirty plates and tableware. The food was quite often cold and of poor quality one of the dished was a pork one that was raw when told of this the waitress said oh ok the cooker not working properly it was not removed either . We had broken glass on the floor at dineer time that was still there at night time after we informed them at dinner time . the queues for the drinks at the pool bar on an afternoon were bad normally 15 mins to get a drink the night time bar even worse 15 mins minimum. the evening entertainment to me was bad unless you were 5 years old mime shows of we will rock you and it was so bad we went out to local bars even tho we were all inclusive . the hotel staff didnt seem bothered they just shrugged their shoulder as if to say tuff the best thing was the pool entertainer alehandro and his mate who were funny and full of energy. the hotel was full and i believe they had opened the sister hotel so i wonder if they had split ataff also.I would not go here again. Oh and my sister was placed in a disabled room which smelt of urine and its no fun trying to wash in a sink meany=t for a wheelchair user .More
