Hotel Santa Ponsa Park/Pionero

A central hotel with great entertainment, the Pionero/Santa Ponsa Park has got all corners covered. Two roomy pools offer up a whole cast of water-based activities, and come evening live shows are on the cards. Rooms are nice and spacious, too.

Right in the heart of the seaside town of Santa Ponsa, this complex has got everything on its doorstep. Forget tracking down bus stops and hunting for cabs - the beach, bars, restaurants and shops are all within flip-flopping distance.

But this place has got more than just location on its side - there’s the actual hotel facilities, too. Star billing goes to its impressive entertainment menu. You’ve got a selection of daytime activities like water polo, archery and volleyball, while live shows pick up the baton in the evening. Kids aren’t left out either - they get their own playroom, and kids aged five and over can join in the fun at the hotel’s hobby club.

Then there's a couple of big swimming pools to consider, complete with a kids section, set into a good-sized sun terrace. And there are plenty of sunbeds and thatched parasols out here, too.

Step inside, meanwhile, and you’ll find the bedrooms. They’re light, spacious and simply styled with whitewashed walls and light wood furniture. What’s more, they all come with private balconies.

I am very honest with my reviews and rarely add a poor review but on this occasion I have to sum up the hotel as dated. I read reviews referencing noise levels but thought it would not be too bad, how wrong can a person be. the restaraunt was ok and pool area ok noise levels horrendous, hotel smelt musty and in need of deep clean. food average. on the plus side the location was great and the rep Liam was fantastic. daniels Irish bar nearby was great too, very friendly lively bar. would revisit santa ponsa butt not this hotel. wish I had read reviews before booking.More

Derek A,

Excellent for families, clean, fresh and amazing staff.

Myself, husband and our 3 kids stayed for 1 week in august 2014. The hotel was excellent. The entertainment for the kids was second to none. Staff are the best and hotel was clean. We are going back next year. Highly recommend for families. Well worth the money.More

luke warm food

stayed at santa ponsa park hotel would not go back mainly because of the food. we were all inclusive and the food was never hot. desserts were nice. had to go to pionero hotel for lunch and food was no better there. room was ok very clean cleaning staff and hotel staff were lovely. the morning we were leaving we got a continental break bread cereal and stale fruit and they were putting out the hot food for breakfast at 7 o clock. breakfast starts at 7 45. also dont eat the small white rolls as they will break your teeth. would not consider this to be a 4 star hotel. swimming pool was nice and seating area was lovely but if you smoked there was never enough ash trays to go around.More

julia b,

Two adults and two teens for two weeks never again .

This was the sixth year at these sister hotels we were disapointed on arrival to be allocated the pionero in our opinion not as nice as the Santa ponsa park hotel. However we were told the Santa ponsa park was full even though we explined we had stayed at the hotel for past six years there was nothing that they could do to change it. We had two rooms with reasonable views but noisy road nearby more so in a morning. The rooms are cleaned daily and new towels put out which is great. We didnt do the race for sunbeds every day but I did try one daybat 8.30 am and every one had towels on and I counted four people actually sitting on them that was the same at both hotels as they have two main pools there is one lifeguard on duty who workshard keeping a watch on both pools .Now for the reason we would not go back the food was the worst we have had at our previous stays , I have always defended the food on previous reviews but we found the food to be luke warm and very poor quality .The pizza and hotdogs were cold as were the burgers , we we all inclusive and during the second week we decided to eat out apart from breakfast. We had to walk aroiund the resturant looking for tables that were not filled with used plates and sometimes had to take settings off other tables to make sure we had enough place settings especially at breakfast .The hotel staff on the whole are not very friendly except a few bar staff. The entertainment was not very good and one Saturday night it was karaoke a load of kids singing i think .We love Santa Ponsa and will return but going self catering as we had lovely meals out at a reasonable price . I recomend Mrs Murpheys kitchen and fat Sams .More
