Good hotel in general

Stayed as a group of 8 and really enjoyed our stay. This is a fairly large hotel about 10 minute walk from Sa Coma beach which is fantastic. Plenty of bars and restaurants many that I have reviewed. The choice is more Brits abroad than Spanish but some are very good. The room we had was very clean and a good size. Shower great and was always welcomed at the end of the day as was the air con which worked fantastically well. Be aware that if you open your patio door the air con will cut out. The events team work very hard and the water aerobics were a smash hit every day. These guys have boundless energy but are not pushy in anyway. The Thompson rep was slightly worse than useless and although pleasant was massively ineffective. The reception staff were fantastic and always available and willing to help but the bar staff on the whole were very abrupt when you could actually get one to your table. I think if you are all inclusive (which we were not) the service is not an issue as it appeared to me that was where the priority was given. All in all a very enjoyable holiday in a pleasant enough hotel. I see some saying it should be 5 star - no way! This is a very good 3 star and maybe scrapes the 4 star it has been awarded. More

My 3 friends and i stayed here for a week, what a fantastic place, so clean, food great, the staff were so friendly and helpful . It was my friend's birthday whilst we were there, not sure how staff found out but when she went back to her room there was a bottle of champagne waiting for her which was a lovely gesture and made the day even more special. When half board you are given the opportunity on 1 night to go to one of the other 4 restaurants on site . We picked the Italian and we were not disappointed again lovely staff and food was beautiful . I can't recommend this hotel enough .More

Marie W,

Great hotel and lovely location

We were in room 269 which was a lovely large room overlooking front of hotel. very spacious and plenty of storage room. a bonus was tea and coffee in your room. bathroom is big and has walk in shower, no bath. we went half board and found the menu varied and plentiful and no queues to get into restaurant. beach around a ten minute stroll. for lunch we wandered over the road to Salvator where the staff are lovely and plenty of reasonably priced snacks and drinks - can thoroughly recommend. the hotel also has different themed restaurants you can book and included in your price if you are half board or all inclusive. Plenty of outdoor activities shared with other Protur resort hotels - no charge and can thoroughly recommend mini golf behind Protur Safari Hotel .More

Great hotel

Hotel room - Good size, nice bathroom, very very clean Pool - close to road which isn't great as sometimes noisy with buses but good sized pool, lots of sun loungers, very clean Restaurant - best food we have had at a buffet. Great variety and hot!! Grill options cooked fresh and wok options too were great. Bar - we were half board so had to pay for drinks but they all were reasonably priced. Pako (one of the waiters) was brilliant, seems to work all hours and does a good job in all of them and always gets involved in the show which is good fun. Nighttime entertainment - typical hotel entertainment which was always in English which was good for us Restaurant Tex Mex - average, free beer which is good if you are half board, food was self serve as was the beer. Very quiet. Excursions - we did western encounters, lovely (could have missed out the monastery but that was just our choice) also don't go for the pre arrange meal in Port de Sollar if you do go, sort yourself out there are loads of bars and restaurants to choose from and you have lots of time!! We also went to Pirates Adventure which was brilliant!! Food wasn't great but the show was fantastic!!!! Resort - average, lots of tat shops as to be expected, lots of bars and restaurants, we didn't go to many a lot are road side and not out kind of thing. Avoid the Kings head. For some reason it's recommended by the reps, don't know why as awful!! Slow rude service and half the things on the menu aren't available. Overall lovely holiday and if the resort was better we would go to the hotel again. Also the manager of the hotel stands at the front of the restaurant each night and is lovely and love the guests and hotel, reception staff are just as nice and always happy to help! More
