"Super Fantastico!"

We stayed at the Sa Coma Playa for one week from July 5th - our first visit. I can only echo the excellent comments from previous reviewers on this hotel. The staff are the most friendly I have ever known and are always checking you are enjoying your holiday. They all work extremely hard especially in the restaurant but always greet you with a smile. (They do have a lot to compete with as the first smiley face you see is Chej the 'sex god' restaurant manager ;) ) We had a twin room and a single room both over looking the main pool. The sun was on the balcony in the afternoons but we were not 'man enough' to sit on the balcony as it was extremely hot! Rooms spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. We haven't travelled much but at other hotels we always knew roughly when the room would be cleaned so we knew when it was safe to shower etc. The times did vary here - sometimes we would come back from breakfast at about 9 - 9.30 and the lovely cleaners were there, other days it would be quite late in the afternoon. This is not a criticism as of course we could put the 'do not disturb' sign on the door but if you wanted fresh towels etc...I personally struggled with the temperature in the room corridors so was glad of the air con in the room. (Made me walk quicker to the room to work some of the wonderful desserts off!) As with many other reviewers I do need to say how wonderful Chej the Guest Services Manager was. He was there to greet you as you entered the restaurant most meal times - the most friendliest 'professional person' we have ever dealt with. An actual Manager who knows how to manager (which in my personal experience is extremely rare). People return to this hotel year after year and now I have been I can certainly see why. I would like to thank you all at the hotel for a wonderful holiday and also thank Gwen and Frank who will be with you again very soon. :)More

Lovely hotel

Stayed at sa coma playa for 11 nights in June had booked room with semi private pool and was well worth the extra expense . The hotel is ideally situated to the beach and there is a supermarket and a few typical holiday shops acrosss the road. The hotel itself is lovely spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is although breakfast was excellent evening meal was occasionally let down by meat being tough and very chewy however there was always something else to have and could not fault the desserts. One other thing that would improve the appeal of the hotel is if children were told to stay off the stage during showtime and not allowed on the dance floor after the show to give couples a chance to enjoy the disco. Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going to Sa Coma.More

Lovely week at Sa Coma Playa

Stayed here for a week beginning of June. Rooms are very modern, good size and spotless. Loved the bathroom. Very relaxed feel throughout the hotel. All staff are very friendly. Food was of good standard, lots of vegetarian options. Options for my 8 year old son was slightly limited on some evenings. Lovely welcome every evening from the restaurant manager. Never a problem getting a sun bed, even when we didn't arrive until after lunch. Our son loved the crazy golf. Lovely beach which is approx 15 min walk away. Only negative is the long transfer time from Palma. Will definitely return to this hotel, already thinking about next year. Think we will have trouble finding somewhere as good, we have been spoilt! 2nd vist

This was our 2nd visit to the Protur Sa Coma Playa Hotel & Spa & we were welcomed as if we had been coming for years. Our room was not ready when we arrived so we were treated to some much needed food & a cool drink while we waited (which was not long). On arriving to our swim up room, it turned out we were right next door to where we were last year which was perfect for us. The cleanliness of the room (and the whole hotel) was still the high standard you know you will get here, so we enjoyed our complimentary bottle of cava while we quickly unpacked & began our holiday. After our first shower, we noticed there was a lot of water escaping all over the floor so we told reception on our way for tea. Someone was sent to our room straight away & it was fixed within minutes, now that's service !! The food both in the buffet restaurant & the pool bar was still of a high standard but it would be good if there was a small section for children for the evening meal eg some pizza, chicken nuggets etc as you could see some children struggling to find something to eat for their tea. This is offered at lunch time & the chicken goujons were to die for !! A vast improvement we noticed compared to last year was the service in the bar of an evening, we often had to wait quite a long time to be served last year but this time we just sat down when we were served. Special mention to Paco who made my daughters holiday by always taking the time to speak to her & teach her some Spanish along the way. All the team from reception, maids, bar staff, restaurant staff, even the groundsmen were excellent & friendly. The free wifi has also vastly improved as it was available in your room this time which meant you could catch up with the world without having to go to reception every night & be a phone zombie for a while. The evening entertainment mainly consisted of singing apart from one night there was a magician which was fun. Some more actrobats etc would be good but if the entertainment is not to your taste, we found the Biomar quite good which is just a short stroll away, you can't please everyone every night, right? We tried the waterpark this year which my daughter loved, the food you get was excellent & is included in the price. Last but not least is Chej. He always has his infectious smile for you & always welcoming guests to the dining room which is such a nice touch. We have been to many places on holiday but have never felt so welcomed to a hotel as we do here. He is a credit to the hotel & my daughter can't wait to get a cuddle off him on our next visit next year - we'll see you in July Chej !! (the Connon's).More
