This whitewashed hotel is just across from the beach and close to bus routes that open up Majorca’s north and northwest coasts.
From the front steps of the Hotel Pollentia, you can take in the Bay of Pollensa, where white sands gives way to the Balearic Sea. Expand your line of vision and you’ll see the masts of the yachts in Port de Pollensa marina, a kilometre along the coast, and the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range in the distance.
The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the main square in Puerto Pollensa, which is orbited by almost 100 cafés, bars and restaurants. It’s about the same distance to The Pine Walk, a promenade where locals stroll in the evenings. There are a number of bus stops a few metres from the hotel and there’s a bus timetable in reception, where you can check your routes.
Behind the hotel’s whitewashed walls there are 70 bedrooms, spread over several floors. The décor in the rooms is typically Spanish, with tiled floors and dark-wood furniture, while blue bedspreads and velvet bucket chairs add splashes of colour.
Outside, you'll find a swimming pool. It's set in a sunny terrace, and edged by smart navy-blue loungers and ivory umbrellas. There's a paddling pool for children, too.
Expect international cuisine in the buffet restaurant. It's got a terrace area, where the tables look out over the sea. The hotel bar also has a sea-view terrace, with comfy wicker chairs, and it puts on regular evening entertainment.
Spent a week there in October had fantastic weather, swam everyday in the sea as hotel pool was a bit chilly for us, though not for our kids. Beach is literally 100 m walk away but we rented a car with Drivalia anyway so we could visit the island. Nice drives all around the area, went to Formentor, Pollenca Old Town ( well worth a visit ), Inca Market ( though Port of Pollenca square market is probably enough ), and the inside, flatter part of the island. Rooms are fine, kitchenette small but well equipped. We had gorgeous view on pool and mountains behind ! Plenty of restaurants around anyway, easy to park anywhere at this time of year, and lovely white sand beach. Kids went fishing and snorkeling so plenty to do ! Would definitely recommend this hotel and the Car rental company, best ever !More
A Great Location
We visited this hotel for a chance of some sun. It is in a great location in the lovely Port de Pollenca.
We had a room with a wonderful sea view and the location just across the road from the beach was superb. The weather was great and we had a lovely holiday.
The breakfasts in the hotel were excellent and the staff were great too. The hotel had a very traditional feel to it and it had mostly older couples. There was a very friendly atmosphere in the hotel. I must say however that I did think the beds were very hard.More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks from 27th sept to 11th Oct and apart from the wonderful location on the sea front and the friendly and efficient staff there was not a lot of other good points. The furniture in the lounge/bar area is in need of replacement as it is so worn, uncomfortable and dirty looking. The stair and corridor carpets are dirty and stained and need replacing. Although the rooms are small, I have no problem with that they are in need of a makeover as the furniture is old and very tired looking. The rooms were kept clean by the very efficient maids. The food I felt was of a low standard as the hot meal choice was never hot just lukewarm and the salads never had any cold meats to accompany it, resorted to try and get fish/meat from the hot side. The breakfast was fine, always a good choice even cold meats.
I do feel that the waiters at dinner need to organise themselves better as there was only one waiter showing you to your seat and taking any drink order you might want, this often resulted in a queue at the door waiting for the waiter to return while the 3 or 4 other waiters wandered around clearing plates ect.
This hotel has no Thompson rep to turn to if any problems.More
This hotel has a wonderful location, we had a room at the front with a balcony, with a wonderful view,(shame we saw no sunrise as the weather was not so good) Staff were very efficient and friendly, hotel was very clean. Breakfast had a big choice and you could have as much as you wanted! My only couple of negative points were, the beds were very hard and the hot buffet at night time did not look very appetizing, a shame as the salads and desserts were very good. I would probably stay again but on a bed and breakfast basis.More

A GEM OF A HOTEL
We stayed 3/10/14 to 13/10/14. There is little to say bar compliments, Its a clean hotel with fantastic views. I was stunned when we arrived, and very sad to be leaving. The food is good and plentiful, and all you could reasonably expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. We will return next September for certain.
Ignore the carping comments on here,(looking at trip advisor in general, I think some people expect the world when they haven't paid for it. its a great hotel and you will have a lovely time. At the time we went it was mainly guests of a certain age 60's plus with a few in their 50's which was great as I didn't want lots o kids about. We chilled out in a way I couldn't have expected. IT is WORTH the extra money to pay for a sea view. We are sorting our diaries to return next year..
TV had SKY news and BBC1 and 2... though we watched little, only the news.More
