This whitewashed hotel is just across from the beach and close to bus routes that open up Majorca’s north and northwest coasts.
From the front steps of the Hotel Pollentia, you can take in the Bay of Pollensa, where white sands gives way to the Balearic Sea. Expand your line of vision and you’ll see the masts of the yachts in Port de Pollensa marina, a kilometre along the coast, and the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range in the distance.
The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the main square in Puerto Pollensa, which is orbited by almost 100 cafés, bars and restaurants. It’s about the same distance to The Pine Walk, a promenade where locals stroll in the evenings. There are a number of bus stops a few metres from the hotel and there’s a bus timetable in reception, where you can check your routes.
Behind the hotel’s whitewashed walls there are 70 bedrooms, spread over several floors. The décor in the rooms is typically Spanish, with tiled floors and dark-wood furniture, while blue bedspreads and velvet bucket chairs add splashes of colour.
Outside, you'll find a swimming pool. It's set in a sunny terrace, and edged by smart navy-blue loungers and ivory umbrellas. There's a paddling pool for children, too.
Expect international cuisine in the buffet restaurant. It's got a terrace area, where the tables look out over the sea. The hotel bar also has a sea-view terrace, with comfy wicker chairs, and it puts on regular evening entertainment.

Loved my stay in this relaxing hotel where the guests were mainly older folk which was fine. I made use of the bike storage room which had chilled water and a basic tool kit including a pump. Great food and friendly staff. I plan to return.More

We have stayed at the hotel two years running Just across road from a lovely beach Good food not as varied as some hotels but there was always something for everyone. Easy to get around not far from resort centre - a nice stroll in the evenings. Low key entertainment but more in resort centre if you are inclined. Would recommend you get a room with balconyMore

Great to return
Visiting Puerto Pollensa again we had wanted to stay ay Hotel Pollentia after enjoying our stay there last year. We were not disappointed, the hotel and rooms were really clean and the staff were always very friendly and helpful. Stayed half board so a good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. As I'm vegetarian there was always at least one hot meal an evening was available, bar one evening but the staff soon got an alternative for me. My only slight criticism would be that the food isn't always labelled, for instance one night there was a range of traditional Mallorcan food of which I didn't try at first as I was unsure whether it was vegetarian - some of it was. All in all a lovely area to visit and a great hotel to stay at. Will definitely use again when visiting Puerto Pollensa.More

I've recently returned from a 10 night stay at the Pollentia and was left pleasantly surprised. This hotel is clean, beautifully located, the staff are very friendly (special mention to the reception staff and maids who are very friendly and helpful), and the food is good. It is a short walk from the Marina which is definitely worth a visit, and the hotel has entertainment a few times a week. Speaking of entertainment, it is definitely worth visiting the sister hotel Uyal which has some very good entertainment including dancing and tribute acts, and Palms Bar which is just around the corner is superb. The pool area is small and the water freezing but it's a lovely little suntrap late morning through the afternoon and we could always get a sunbed. We stayed in room 309 which had a beautiful sea view, definitely worth paying that bit extra for. There were unfortunately a few negatives we found. The rooms have no tea/coffee making facilities and no fridge which is a real shame especially when wanting to have bottles of water in the room. Also our beds were not overly uncomfortable, but they made the most awful noise whenever you moved on them. We did inform the reception and within the hour someone came up to see to it, but we were told there was nothing that could be done - resulting in no sleep for us! We were also disappointed for the first 2 nights as our balcony had no light and again we informed reception and the bulb was changed that afternoon but still no light! It took a further 2 days of nagging before the night porter finally got the balcony light to come on - only for it to be turned off at 11:45 every night. Frustrating but never the less something that was somewhat annoying. Lastly, the hotel does mainly attract the older generation (there were no children at all during our stay), but you had to climb about 12 steps at the front of the hotel to reach the reception - no ramp! - and also no offer of help from any members of staff. We were perfectly capable of doing our own bags, but I can see some of the older guests struggling some what with this. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at The Hoposa Pollentia Hotel, and would definitely consider returning in the future.More

Plumbers needed in Puerto Pollensa
We have just returned from a week at the Pollentia. Whilst the hotel staff were wonderful from reception to restaurant to cleaners, unfortunately there was a lack of hot water - in fact 2 days without any hot water. The weather was hot, but a cold shower with just a trickle was not acceptable. We were told that there was a problem, but the plumbers were fixing it!!! This problem continued, it went on and on!! The other, rather unusual, concern was that no credit card facilities were available. It was cash payments on drinks, meals etc, which was payable at the time, not at the end of our stay!! Even the local market accepted Visa!! I have never stayed in any hotel where "charging to your room" was not acceptable and payment made by credit card on departure was normal practice. Certainly, the sister hotel next door, Hotel Uyall, did not have a problem accepting my credit card when I stayed there! Other than the water and credit card problems, the rooms were a little in need of updating, but the cleanliness could not be questioned. We would not be returning unless the problems were addressed and will be wriiting to the Manager to express our disappointment. We were not the only guests to be dismayed at the lack of water consistency, a gamble each day as to whether we would have any and if so, would it be hot or cold.More
