Hotel Pollentia

The whitewashed Hotel Pollentia is just across from the beach and close to bus routes that open up Majorca’s north and north-west coasts.

From Hotel Pollentia you can take in the Bay of Pollensa, where white sands give way to the sea. Cast your eyes further afield, and you’ll also glimpse Puerto Pollensa marina and the mountains.

Behind the hotel’s whitewashed walls are 70 bedrooms spread over several floors. It’s all just a 20-minute walk from the main square in Puerto Pollensa. This hotel is part of the Simply Travel collection until April 2017. It will then join our Small & Friendly range – home to holidays with an authentic and intimate feel.

Attentive staff, decent grub and well placed on the sea front. We stayed here, as a family of five, for one night in August. The rooms are basic, clean and functional. I would recommend a sea view. As we left the hotel, we accidently forgot a pair of pyjamas; 24 hours later, the receptionist kindly rang me to say that these had been found.More

Another great holiday at the Pollentia

This was our second stay at the Pollentia Hotel and it won't be the last. Great traditional Spanish hotel. All staff are lovely and extremely helpful. Rooms really clean and serviced every day. Bathroom clean but could do with a little updating eg renew all grouting and sealent but that's the only downside. Food really good buffet style at both Breakfast and evening meal. Long trousers have to be worn by men at night. It's a wonderful hotel to relax and chilli out in. There is entertainment every other night which on the whole is good. Hotel pool is lovely and beach is straight across the road. It well worth paying a little extra and getting a sea view as they are fantastic the views. Great for couples or families.More

The Tranquil Pollentia Hotel

Fourteen years ago we had our honeymoon in Port De Pollenca and so we decided that this year we should return, we arrived on the 17th of July for 1 week. I like to feel that I pick a good holiday and this one was no exception. We got a coach transfer this time and although we saw the Hotel in the brochure I find I am always a little nervous until I can see the real thing. To my mind the picture does not do the Hotel justice and it was a great relief when we pulled up. As you can see in the picture the hotel is right on the beach front, there is a road but its one way only and I would not call it very busy. We stayed half board, the difference in price from Bed and Breakfast to Half board was only £42 per person for the week pp, in my view a no brainer. We arrived about 1 o'clock in the afternoon and our room was ready. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly greeting us with a big smile as she did every time we saw her. There is the new holiday tax all the Spanish resorts have brought in which is 1.15 euro a day per person so be ready to pay that. I hired a safe for 30 Euro and a fridge for 40 Euro both essential in my view. The hotel itself is in an older style very comfortable and all the staff very friendly, they did not miss one chance to say hello in the week we were there. Meals were very good with every choice you can think of for breakfast beautifully presented. The evening meal was also multi choice in a buffet style and gentleman are expected to wear trousers in the restaurant. but don't be put off it is air conditioned and very comfortable. Wine was inexpensive compared to some hotels we have stayed. Some guests expressed the view that the main courses during the evening were shall we say, a little weak but to be honest we always found a meal we liked and you can make another choice if you do not like the first one you made. Take advantage of the display of Mallorcan pearls they have in reception which are also very inexpensive. The rooms are large, we had a balcony with a see view which was lovely when we got up in the morning and opened the shutters to a fantastic panorama. Ok the rooms need a little TLC but a minor fault I reported was fixed straight away(only a lightbulb). Beds are firm just the way we liked them and we slept soundly every night. The center of the resort is only 15 minutes away and offers lots of restaurants and a great cocktail bar called the Lemon bar with live music which was the best live music I have ever heard on a holiday bar none. If you like ultra modern white hotels maybe this one is not for you, but if you like to unwind in authentic surroundings, in a quiet location and to be looked after by great staff, choose the Pollentia Hotel.More

Will Return.

In my opinion, this quality hotel should be rated far higher on Trip Advisor. It is a traditional Spanish hotel with an authentic feel. All the staff are friendly, helpful & efficient. The waiters & bar staff always recognise & acknowledge you- something that is lacking in a lot of hotels these days. There is a good selection at both breakfast & dinner. Both are buffet style- the waiters always ensuring the tables are cleared quickly. There is lots of space between all the tables. Both meals can be taken either in or outside. Men are asked to wear long trousers for dinner-( this is much better than having to look at some men wearing vests & shorts.). The bedrooms & bathrooms are large & have lots of storage. The shower is over the low sided bath. An anti slip bath mat can be requested. There is air con & a safe can be hired. The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout. There is a sea view veranda - perfect for coffee/tea, pre or after dinner drinks. Or just watching the world go by! There are also comfortable wicker chairs in the garden areas- a bonus for those who can't lay on a sunbed all day. The pool area is small, but adequate, with lots of loungers. This is a well run very nice hotel that won't disappoint if you choose to stay here. We will return.More

Another Fantastic Visit

Yet again another wonderfull stay in this lovely hotel, as other people have said worth paying that wee bit extra for a font sea view room with balcony ideal to sit out in the morning and watch the sunrise and for a wee refreshment in the evening before going out for a meal, staff give excellent service and are really friendly and was nice to see the new manager who we knew from a previous hotel in Puerto Pollensa always making sure everything was going smoothlyMore
