A short journey will take you to the charming Roman town of Pollensa, packed with traditional architecture and quaint shops. Or check out the northern point of Formentor, where you can soak up the spectacular roads or take a boat trip around the base of the immense cliffs.

There is a plentiful array of local shopping to tempt you, or alternatively, why not make a visit to the old town of Pollensa where some of the more sophisticated handicrafts and art can be sampled. Look out for traditional pottery and stylish contemporary ceramics, or visit the Sunday morning market with its truly charming ambience.

Situated just 5km inland, this renowned artist's colony, with its narrow streets and wonderfully restored stone village houses is steeped in both charm and history. Take a trip up the Calvary Steps, or visit the Convent of Santo Domingo. You can also enjoy a boat trip around the spectacular cliffs of Cabo Formentor, plunging some 800 feet into the sea.
