Your guide to Puerto De Soller, Majorca
"The charming resort of Puerto de Sóller is not just a joy to arrive in, it is a pleasure to travel to. A delightful old train makes the journey north from Palma through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, giving glorious views of the beautiful landscape. The resort itself curves around a natural harbour that is one of the few safe havens for sailors needing refuge on the north coast. Peaceful and relaxing, it is popular with those seeking a quiet, traditional place to stay, as well as those who come for the walking trips in the spectacular countryside."

Giving it an overall rating out of 5:
This beachfront hotel has a great location close to the chic town of Soller and the beautiful Tramontana mountains.
With the soft sands of Repic Beach to the front and the jagged Tramontana mountains to the rear, the family-run Hotel Marina has secured one of the best locations in northern Majorca. A picturesque tram stops close to the hotel and winds its way through orange groves to sophisticated Soller. Lovely mountain villages like Deia and Valldemossa are easily reached by bus, too.
The Marina’s setting close to the mountains means it’s popular with walkers – guided hikes are on offer, and the hotel provides maps and daily weather reports, too.
Breakfast and dinner are served in the restaurant or on the terrace. The restaurant is decorated in traditional Majorcan style, with a blue-and-white colour scheme, dark-wood chairs, and patterned plates adorning the walls, while the terrace has fantastic views across the Bay of Soller.
There’s a small swimming pool to the back of the hotel, and a spacious sun terrace with loungers and parasols. The hotel also provides loungers on the beach. A top-floor spa provides a sauna and Jacuzzi™, as well as treatments like salt scrubs and massages.
Rooms have mountain or sea views and are simple in style, with whitewashed walls, dark-wood furniture and patterned bedspreads. Studios with kitchenettes are available, too.
