The Grupotel Los Principes and Spa is next to one of Majorca’s best beaches. It also has great facilities, including a top-class spa.

The Grupotel Los Principes and Spa is in a great location. It’s right next to Playa De Muro beach, which is a long strip of white sand, backed by dunes and pine and juniper trees. The property is also just five minutes from a large selection of bars and restaurants.

You’ll never be short of things to do here. When you’re not swimming in the spacious swimming pool or sunbathing on the terrace, you can try your hand at mini-golf or tennis, or head to the spa to use the inhalation bath, sensory showers and the ice fountain.

On the food front, the hotel’s buffet restaurant serves an international breakfast and different themed dinners every night. There’s also a bistro on the seafront, which serves Mallorcan cuisine.

Finally, the hotel does its bit for the environment. It’s been awarded the TUI Environment Champions Prize twice in the last five years.

Looking to go off the beaten track on holiday but want somewhere with a bit of chic? Then picturesque Playa de Muro will suit you down to the ground. Slap bang between Alcudia and C’an Picafort on Majorca’s captivating north coast, this modern resort is the perfect remedy for a peaceful, undisturbed getaway. If you like nothing better than soaking up the sunshine, the white sand beach will take your breath away. Backed by gorgeous greenery, the shores spread out for 5km so if you want some space to yourself, you can always wander along until you find a favourite spot. The sea is impressive too, with soft turquoise surf ideal for cooling off in or trying your hand at some watersports perhaps. Far-flung is part of the charisma of this destination, but there’s enough here to keep you ticking over if you just want to unwind here for a week or so, with a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Keen shoppers will enjoy a wander around the Saturday morning market selling fresh produce and hand-crafted goods and many of the eateries you’ll come across serve Spanish dishes, though there are also some British options and a few international menus to be found. If you want to explore a little further a field, the S'Albufera Park on the outskirts of Playa de Muro will charm the pants off you. Totally enchanting, there are sun-dappled paths to follow and birds from all over Europe flock here to nest every year. And if you have little ones in tow, they’ll love the giant wooden maze, a huge labyrinth where you play a game to get to the middle. Hours of fun for all the family.
