Aparthotel Alcudia Pins

Families have it covered at this beachside hotel, with its children’s splash park and choice of pools.

Water plays a big part at this hotel. It’s right by the sea, plus there are two pools, including a big, lake-style number. There’s a children’s splash park, too. On the dining front, there are 4 restaurants, including a tapas place.

This aparthotel is right on a golden-sand beach. The nearest bars and restaurants are less than a five-minute walk away, and it’s about the same time in a taxi to C’an Picafort’s main drag.

Great family hotel

Just back from first visit to Alcudia Pins and would not hesitate to return. From minute we arrived with family and grandchildren were made to feel welcome. Rooms modern and spotless clean. Pool areas safe and cleaned continuous, lifeguards were great with kids as were all staff, always stopping to talk and having fun. Food was lovely and great choice for everyone and choice of restaurant. Beachfront locations was great and nice to walk from hotel onto a beautiful sandy white beach which like rest of complex was spotless clean. Towels to keep sun bed is not allowed which is good thing as some people put down towel and don't return for while, was funny to see the trolley picking up towels in morning and then people returning looking around for them, but it is clearly signed that this is not allowed. Grandchildren attended kids club and enjoyed it also pizza and chocolate parties. Entertainment for children was good plenty of variety with Thomson the dog, Charlie and Chico they also went around complex during the day and also came into restaurant and involved children in what they we're doing. Johnny the entertainer was great and funny he should be commended for his hard work all day and night. All in all great family hotel, and would not hesitate to recommend and hopefully return one day (hopefully Thomson will have a look at their costs and make it more affordable for families to return)More

Fab hotel for families with young children

We have just got back from a weeks stay at Alcudia Pins. It is a wonderful hotel and perfect for families with young children. We have a 3 years old an a 10 month old and everything we could possibly need was catered for. We had an amazing time. I wouldn't recccomend staying here if you don't have children however, but if you do it's perfect. You will love it! Rooms: The rooms are lovely and modern. We had a cot and a pull out bed for our 3 year old. This was great as it was on the floor which meant he couldn't fall out of bed etc and hurt himself. Sliding doors where the children's beds are that could be shut. The room had a hair dryer (you have to keep a button pushed but it worked well enough to dry my long hair each day). We also had a kettle, fridge (with a chilled bottle of water in when we arrived), microwave, cups, glasses, coffee/sugar sachets etc, washing up liquid and dish sponge (we were amazed these were provided much appreciated). There is a handy area to store your clothes, wooden cloths hangers provided and hanging shoe storage which was useful. Bathroom with bath and shower over. The cleaners clean rooms most days providing fresh towels etc. They were very friendly and always did a great job of our room so please pass on our thanks. On one occasion my child accidentally knocked over a glass bottle in our room. Reception sent someone straight over to clean it up. Fab service. Food: The food was great. Lots of choice and plenty of it. If anything ran out it was soon replaced. The sausages were very nice! We loved them for breakfast everyday and my husband was made up that he could have doughnuts for breakfast!! (Yes back to healthy eating and diets now! :). The fresh fruit, especially the pineapple is delicious. Everything is served with tongs and very clean.Considering it's buffet style and catering for a large amount of people it's pretty good for the star rating. With all 7 day stays you are allowed one free meal at the tapas restaurant. We pre booked and were happy to get a table for that evening. The food was amazing we really enjoyed it. The prawns are especially yummy as were the chocolate brownies!!! One of out adult party didn't like tapas so they cooked her a steak no trouble. They have a kids menu so the children are happy. At all the restaurants all staff work so hard! We have never seen people multi tasking like the staff here do. Such speed and everything still done perfectly. Really take our hats off to them all and still they make time to chat to the children. They did amazing. No dodgy tummies or bugs etc it must add! Entertainment: The evening entertainment is quite aimed at kids. To be honest thou it's a family hotel so this is what you want. If your kids are happy you are too. My 3 year old joined in and loved it. After 9 they had some good acts - singers etc although we didn't stay to watch as we needed to put the children bed. Things to do etc: There is loads to keep you busy! Kids clubs (although we didn't even use these as my children were so happy with just the pools/park etc), lovely park with little ride on cars etc, nice grass area behind. Arcade, ping pong, the beach, amazing sea, fab waves! Baby lounge in the hotel is great, mini toilet for kids, low down sink, changing mats, bottle warmer, steriliser and even a few little toys and books. Great on site shop, sells pretty much everything you could need. Even had Ella's kitchen baby food and cow and gate mini milk cartons. Pampers nappies, wipes, toys. Fab pony rides just outside the hotel. The parent gets to lead the pony around while the child has a ride, which was fun. Trampolines and arcades etc up the road. Some nice little gift shops too. We took a taxi to alcudia old town. The market is the every Tuesday. It cost us around 12-14 euros each way. We did originally wait for the bus but it was super busy and packed so only a few people could fit on. Very beautiful town, we enjoyed it there. The market was good too for getting a few nice presents. Clothes, bags etc. Great fun, make sure you barter! The only points of improvement I'd give are really tiny things. It would have been better if the main restaurant opened slightly earlier as we found the children were getting hungry before 6. (Food is always available but we didn't want to spoil their main meal). More sun umbrellas needed too. We saw a fair few umbrella nabbers when we were by the pool! We were up early most days to get sun beds by the pool we liked best. We didn't see any evidence of the sun bed police thou. Lots of sun beds left with towels on and no one there very early on which was a shame as it made it quite hard to get them aless you were there at around 8:30. A little swing set for younger children/babies would be good too as not much for very young babies who aren't yet walking. Although I must say the baby lounge was great! A great holiday which we all really enjoyed. Well done Alcudia Pins! XMore

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location for families

Arrived back for 7 nights last week. Me and my partner have 3 children aged 4, aged 7 and aged 10. I must say it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in and it will be hard to find a hotel that matches this again. We had a twin room and it was huge. The balcony was masive having 3 patio windows, it was very clean, modern and comfortable. My kids loved the pool, like people said the pool area was busy, but we expected that as we knew the size of the hotel. You can see in the pictures that the hotel is big, so it is obvious it is going to be busy. The location of the hotel is lovely, you are literally on the beach. The waiter service was fab, they even came down to the beach to collect your cups!! the food was good, always a choice for everyone. My 4 year old loved the kids entertaintment at 7 o clock. All in all a fab holiday, I personally can't moan about anything, wouldn't hesitate in booking again, and I must say I have never said that about any other hotel we have stayed in. Definately worth the money for an all inclusive holiday.More

Fantastic place for families

We really would return to this hotel as it was fantastic for families. The rooms were clean and modern. The pools had something for everyone, it's on the beach which is great. The food was wonderful ( my partner doesn't rate all inclusive usually- but really liked the choice and it's didn't feel like a canteen; as so many do). Restaurant opened up early so we could have breakfast before out transfer picked us up on return journey. There is a children's area which was popular with us and clubs seemed great ( we didn't use) baby facilities were a plus point for us too. Minor issues- rooms could do with being a little bigger as with four ( 2 young children) there wasn't much room, a bit far from centre of Alcudia, and the entertainment wasn't always to my taste. But a great holiday, even with the rain!More
