Families have it covered at this beachside hotel, with its children’s splash park and choice of pools.
Water plays a big part at this hotel. It’s right by the sea, plus there are two pools, including a big, lake-style number. There’s a children’s splash park, too. On the dining front, there are 4 restaurants, including a tapas place.
This aparthotel is right on a golden-sand beach. The nearest bars and restaurants are less than a five-minute walk away, and it’s about the same time in a taxi to C’an Picafort’s main drag. And from May 2016, this hotel will become part of the Family Life collection.
Full Board buffet meals, 3 dinners a week in alternative restaurants.
Unlimited local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee 10.00-24.00.
Snacks and ice-cream 10.00-18.00.
Designed for three to 11-year-olds, our Kids’ Clubs offer two hours of activities, six days a week. We’ve split the Clubs into specific age groups, too, so that all activities are tailored to suit your little ones. And all the sessions have a theme, so there’s lots of fun and games in store. You’ll find nearly all the Kids’ Club sessions are free, with evening activities available at a small charge. For your peace of mind, all of our Kids’ Club staff are trained to UK standards and undergo relevant checks.

Alcudia pins is a large hotel with a huge pool area. We had all inclusive with adult and 3 children, which was perfect.
There are pools for little kids as well as 6-12 years old. And a water slider that was very much appreciated. A 30 m walk to dive into the waves of Alcudia bay.
The staff is very friendly to both adults. One example is when our son smashed a plate- a waiter comforted him and took his hand and helped him get some more paella on a new plate - that's customer orientation at its best.
The rooms are small but functional with a large balcony. And the size is not a problem since you normally mainly uses the room for sleeping.
The food is generally good and with variation. You can eat very healthy with fish, salads and fresh fruit, or go for meat, chips ,sausages etc.
There is tendency to overcook fresh cauliflower, broccoli etc- I prefer them crispy "Al dente". And they, please, must change the Nescafe mains for filtered coffe or freshly grounded coffee beans, which probably is cheaper also.
Our children are scandinavian but learned a lot of English in the activity sessions, and was able to speak pretty good English at the end of the week.
But the best of Alcudia pins was the entertainer Jonny Walker- is that his real name by the way?? Always a smile, engagement and energy. Deerly loved by adults as well as children. That is a person who is dedicated an enjoys his work!
If the hotel works on their gardens and surroundings in every detail- make the hotel a bit more "elegant " there is a fifth star within close reach in my opinion.
We will definitely try to return, if possible already later this autumn.

As a family we were very happy with our holiday in this resort. Well done Alcudia Pins.
Just spent a week of all-inclusive at The Pins in a group of 13 and found it to be everything I hoped. Rooms were good and kept very clean and the food was excellent with plenty of choice. Staff were very friendly and I have to say the main restaurant was very well managed and exceptionally efficient.
We used the smaller Relax pool and this was ideal and with the resort leading straight out on to the sea you really can't ask for much more.
I was intrigued by the reviews from those people who weren't happy: remember this is a 3 star resort catering mainly for families and it definitely delivers what it says in the brochure. As a family we were very happy with our holiday in this resort. Well done Alcudia Pins.More
Staff made the holiday for us and our son - truly superb!
We (me, my wife and our 11 month old son) have just come back from 10 nights at this hotel. Before going we thought it seemed very expensive in comparison to what our friends had paid for similar hotels/resorts, but reflecting on it now we understand why it was more expensive - everything about it seemed a cut above the equivalents. It far exceeded our expectations.
The food at the buffets was excellent and a much higher standard than we expected. My wife and I had a plateful each meal whilst our son tried lots of new foods - he enjoyed them all and ate very well (we were slightly concerned about finding food he would like). Of the 2 main restaurants (the main buffet and the Green and Grill) we preferred the Green and Grill, but the main buffet was still excellent. As a guest of the hotel you are entitled to one free meal a week at the other on site restaurant called "Tavern by the Sea". This is a waiter service restaurant and was a very high standard - considering all starters, mains, deserts and drinks were covered for free it was excellent. Had we had more chance we would have returned and paid for a meal here as we enjoyed it that much. The view of the ocean and the setting were also excellent here.
There are a total of 5 pools available here, along with a jacuzzi. The main pool is very big, and whilst it can get full, it is big enough to find a little quieter spot. There are 3 pools for children, 2 with little slides in and one baby pool that's around a foot deep. Our son loved the variety of locations of these 4 and loved playing in them all. The fifth pool is an "adult only" pool which has no gradual drop off in depth. The hotel also opens out straight onto the beach and makes it so easy to access the beach (again very easy with children).
I noticed before we went that some people have complained about the noise in the rooms from corridors etc. We stayed in the Ibiza block (room C307) in a family room with pool/sea view and whilst there was noise on the corridor when people were there, it was no worse than any other hotel I have stayed in abroad. Neither me or our son were woken by the noise, but my wife was (she is a very light sleeper though). The room was a good size and the maid service was excellent - they kept our room very tidy.
Finally, the best part of the holiday, I would like to say how excellent the restaurants staff were with our son (and others) - 2 members of staff in particular. The Maitre D' at the Green and Grill (Jose Luis) always gave us a warm welcome and made our son smile and laugh before us entering the restaurant. I would also like to mention by name the waitress Elena as she was, without a doubt, the highlight of the holiday for our son. Everytime we went for a meal he tried to find her and was thrilled when she came over to say hello to him. Unfortunately, our son spent a night in hospital one night, but upon our return both Elena and Jose Luis went the extra mile to come and see our son to check he was ok, and they both put a smile on his face for the first time that day! They were excellent!
This is my first review, so not sure how it works, but if any of you want to ask me any questions about our stay and there is a way to, I would be more than happy to answer.More

Good family hotel. Ideal for families with small children.
Hotel was everything we wanted it to be.
the hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the swimming pools were ideal for our small children.
There was always something to eat which helped us as our chldren would often eat at different times to us. The drinks were included and the beverages available were to our taste.
Pool was overcrowded at times, not a big issue but could be a problem for couples who do not have children.
The entertainment was just for children, even as the evening went on there was not much for adults.
The hotel was in between towns, we had to get cabs to the more built up areas. Not a problme for us but it could be for others.
Over all id reccomend this hotel, it was a great trip for me my wife and two children (both under 4)More

Great again - 3rd stay!
Just back from a 2 week self catering stay at the Alcudia Pins - had a great 2 bed apt in block C on 1st floor with pool/sea view - great position for us as we use the beds by the big slide so kids could nip in & out of apartment all day and balcony overlooked the slide. As always staff all over the hotel make this a top accommodation. Cleaning was always superb. Lifeguards work tirelessly to ensure all safe and any child crying for any reason (fall etc) they were straight over to comfort. All kids had a great relationship with them - Tony & Juan especially always encouraging kids on slide etc - well done! Bar staff brilliant - always in good form - Llorenc was super friendly - while we hated giving up the glass or plastic cups at the end of the night to have drink poured into coca cola paper cups, he always did it in fun way so we gave in without too much of a fight (But hotel please note, invest in more plastic cups so that this practice can stop - nobody likes beer wine etc in a paper cup!) Can't comment on entertainment other than it was over too early for our liking as we never got back from restaurants until after 10 but then this early finish time would have suited when kids were younger so I guess it's about getting a balance. Reception staff were always great - Antonio so helpful to us - thank you so much!! 3 teenagers in our group had a great time with Tina & Josefine in the hangout - great idea for teenagers as it can be very hard to hook up with other teenagers on hols - they also were a big fan of Hjalmar. Younger kids attended 611 club on a few occasions & really enjoyed but normally did not want to leave the pool to partake (unfortunately for us parents - they are just about past kids clubs) but outside of scheduled kids clubs, there were also activities organised by Johnny & co such as kite making / smoothie making / penalty shoot out etc and they had great time at these - thanks folks on a job really well done. The pools are great and well cleaned every am - same man for last 3 visits and he is meticulous. Sunbeds reserved from about 7.30 am but some member of your party must remain on the beds until 10 am which is fair - we had 3 families 12 people and reserved 5 beds in am which we felt was fair as there was always some kid coming back looking for a lie-down so a parent hopped to lilo in pool or for a walk on beautiful beach adjacent to complex. This beach a jewel and kids did parasailing and stinger rides which they loved! We were self catering so didn't eat on site - had a nice meal in bbq restaurant at front of complex but mosquitos got a few of us that night so we didn't return - however it has to be mentioned that on that night one of kids left ipad behind on table and one of the waiters came to the bar area looking for us to return it which was much appreciated - we wouldn't have missed it until later in night and in many places that would have been too late! Did intend to try Tavern by the Sea but never booked in time. We ate several times in Porto Bello restaurant locally and also went into The Posh Paddy for a few good fun nights out with music by Brendan! Port area great too for a night or 2 out but too many opportunities for kids to shop for our liking so avoided it for the most part - some lovely restaurants back a bit from the main area. Went to Aqualand on a dull day which turned into thunderstorm & slides shut down - no money back on tickets but thankfully we held out until lightening cleared - slides re-opened and we had park practically to ourselves - queued for nothing - amazing! Straight to Cobra 6 times in a row while we were told average queue time can be 2 hours so a dull wet day not bad time to visit (as long as no lightening) Thanks Alcudia Pins for another great hol - unfortunately we have failed to get a self catering 2 bed for 2016 (tried to rebook for next year as soon as we returned) but Falcon appear to have no 2 bed self catering availability and we are not into all inclusive even though this is a great all inclusive resort, we like to eat out & go to some local bars. Possibly the self catering option is being excluded - we didn't have a table in the apt this year that could accommodate 5 so we did wonder if self catering was being discouraged? Will keep trying for visit no 4 but if self catering does not become available, we will unfortunately be moving on from this great holiday destination!More
