Families have it covered at this beachside hotel, with its children’s splash park and choice of pools.
Water plays a big part at this hotel. It’s right by the sea, plus there are two pools, including a big, lake-style number. There’s a children’s splash park, too. On the dining front, there are 4 restaurants, including a tapas place.
This aparthotel is right on a golden-sand beach. The nearest bars and restaurants are less than a five-minute walk away, and it’s about the same time in a taxi to C’an Picafort’s main drag. And from May 2016, this hotel will become part of the Family Life collection.
Full Board buffet meals, 3 dinners a week in alternative restaurants.
Unlimited local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, tea and coffee 10.00-24.00.
Snacks and ice-cream 10.00-18.00.
Designed for three to 11-year-olds, our Kids’ Clubs offer two hours of activities, six days a week. We’ve split the Clubs into specific age groups, too, so that all activities are tailored to suit your little ones. And all the sessions have a theme, so there’s lots of fun and games in store. You’ll find nearly all the Kids’ Club sessions are free, with evening activities available at a small charge. For your peace of mind, all of our Kids’ Club staff are trained to UK standards and undergo relevant checks.

Stayed here for a week. The hotel, food and staff are amazing. So much food to choose from and spoilt for choice. The staff are friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are very spacious clean and modern . However if you are holidaying as a couple then this is not the place for you. This is a good family hotel lots of kids (even out of season) and all the entertainment is geared around kids as well. Adults get treated to an hour a night of entertainment and then at 10.30 that's your lot it's bed time ! There's not a lot to do outside of the complex either. More

brilliant for families
we got to Aludia pins on a sunday morning. The trip from the airport took 1hr 20mins.
Upon arrival, we were given our room number and the directions towards this (we stayed in block E). We were also given our weekly meal plan to avoid the rush with 3 days being at the Green & grill. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
Room - We stayed in a twin with bunk. My husband took the bunk with my 3 year old and I took the twin (put together) with my 7 month old who decided he wasn't going to sleep in the cot that we paid for. The cot came in handy as a bed rail though and I used his bed duvet to wedge between the cot and the bed.
The room was bigger than expected with some sliding doors as a break between the 2 beds. There is no clothing storage in the main room but plenty of storage in the bunk room. The safe is also in the bunk room.
there is also a kitchenette area and plenty of space for a pushchair (even with the cot in there). The bathroom was very spacious and there is a huge gap under the worktop in here which should be utilised as some extra storage space (maybe some drawers for sanitary products and beach towels.
We oiled our door when we got there as it made an awful creaking, unfortunately the outside door isn't very sound proof and you can hear everyone coming and going in the hallway. Not good when your kids are sleeping from 8pm. also heard staff putting a cot up at about 11pm on night and the hammering was very loud.
The hot water is extremely hot - please be aware of this if your child can turn taps on!
The resort itself was rather large and had several pools and sunbeds. They adopt a 'no reserve' rule before 10am and towels will be removed if you are not there. Funnily enough, there were no Germans. The main people staying there were Scandinavian and British and everyone was lovely.
The pools were very cold and we found the sea to be a lot warmer. Even the baby pool & paddling pool were freezing. There is a man that goes around and tests the water in all the pools several times a day which is brilliant. You get a free beack towel per person that is staying there but you have to look after them as you'll have to pay if you need new ones.
The entertainers were absolutely brilliant. Johnny was amazing and really interacted with the kids. Our children only stayed for the first part of the entertainment which was the 'little pups' one.
Our 3 year old went to the Thomson kids club in a morning and she absolutely loved it. She always came out with a picture or collage just like at nursery. The staff always said hello to Olivia when they saw her out of the club which was lovely of them.
The meals were great and had everything to suit everyone. I am dairy free and found that there were a lot of different milks to go on cereal if needed and gluten free cake. Such a shame though that there were not many dairy free desserts to choose from at dinner. We also had to go to the main buffet because of our allergies and the buffet provides more choice. Allergens are stated next to the title of each dish which is good if you have allergies and need to avoid certain things. Unfortunately, a lot of stir fry dishes had milk in them which I found a bit annoying.
Also, dinner starts at 6pm. This is ridiculous as everyone goes there as soon as it opens and it gets really busy because everyone wants to be finished in time for the evening entertainment at 7pm. The buffet actually closes at 10pm I think.
Also, there is only 1 ramp that isn't wide enough for 2 pushchairs and the queues go down this ramp between 6 & 7 blocking our exit route. We had to carry our stroller down the steps several times which was inconvenient for us as no free hands to hold our daughters hand whilst going down the steps.
If you have an early flight, you have to let reception know 24 hours in advance if you would like breakfast before you leave. You will then have access to the cereals and fruit in the main buffet in the morning before leaving.
There is a laundrette on site where you can do your own washing and a reasonably priced shop. I would recommend going to the shop next to the baby pool before looking in the main shop as this is slightly cheaper.
There is a park next to the entertainment but there is also a park to the left of the resort around 10mins walk away. This is a big park and my little girl loved it. To the right of the resort, there are pony rides, trampolines, several ride ons, clothes shops and plenty more so it's worth a look if you need anything extra.
The Thomson crew put leaflets under your door to attend the presentation about the resort on your first day and also for your pick up time the day before you leave.
Overall, I really enjoyed myself and loved seeing my little girls face at all the excitement. We will definitely go back again if they have more dairy free meals.
I recommend this resort for families. I wouldn't recomment it for a couples break or a quiet getaway because quiet is the last thing you'll get.

Great family holiday
We have just returned on the 27th September from a great weeks all inclusive Thomson holiday at the Alcudia Pins. There were five of us on the holiday, 2.5yr old grandson, parents and grandparents.
Although this is a large hotel it is fairly compact and the site is quite level for those who have walking difficulties. We (the grandparents) had booked a sea view room and were allocated room A105 in the Mallorca block. This was a recently refurbished room and was very nice, it was on the ground floor and we did have lovely views of Alcudia bay. My wife took great pleasure in watching a family of peacocks which would come daily to the area just beyond the hotel boundary within 15mtrs of our balcony. As with most family holidays the priority is keeping the little ones happy and our grandson loved the various pools, the beach, the soft play area, the amusements arcade and the evening entertainment. One improvement which I heard a number of people mention would be the addition of solar panels for heating the various swimming pools as the water could be a bit chilly. This applies to most hotels in Majorca though not just the Pins. The food was excellent in all the restaurants with a massive choice. The Green and Grill is a lot smaller than the main buffet restaurant and therefore has less choice, but we did use it almost daily for breakfast or lunch and i would class it more for snack food but it is located very conveniently for the pools and beach. We did dine one evening at "The Tavern by the Sea" and this was a lovely experience the staff were great, the food and wine were excellent and the views wonderful. we even witnessed a wedding ceremony on the beach as we dined. I have read some bad reviews about the food and i don't know why, In the main restaurant there is such a huge choice that with a little imagination you can make any type of meal you wish, and everything was cooked to perfection.
The entertainment is geared towards children, but we were happy to let our grandson enjoy himself, which he did while we relaxed with a drink. The spirits are not premium brands but when you are having a Mojito or other cocktail, can anyone tell the difference? The staff throughout the hotel were unfailingly helpful, pleasant and friendly. The hotel as a whole and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean. All in all a great weeks holiday. One downside from the Thomson perspective is the inclusive coach transport to the hotel this can be best part of 2 hours and can drag a bit, but this is nit picking.More

First time to Mallorca. The hotel is pretty nice, clean room with daily maid-service. Location of the hotell is in midle of nowere on a nice beach. If you opt for all inclusive, you're in for a treat. Lunch and dinner service are beyond belive;really bad. The only positiv thing to say about food is breakfast. That's very good with a big selection of all the usual stuff you expect for breakfast. Apart from the bad weather and screaming Danes when we visited, we had a good time.More

Music off 10:30
We went as a family of three, 2 adults age 30 to 39 and a 9 year old. I cant fault the hotels food, facilities, and rooms, and the added bonus of a gorgeous beach literally seconds away.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
What I found ridiculous about this hotel was the adult entertainment was abysmal, about 45 minutes was all we got although the animation team were a great bunch and put on some good shows I just felt anyone over the age of 7 was not catered for, its literally all for young children even my 9 year old thought it was all geared towards very young children, maybe because the hotel has probably more Scandinavian guests than British and cater more for them and they seem to like to be in bed for about half 8/9ish.
So basically if you are looking for a lively hotel that will have any entertainment or music after 10:30 then this is not the resort for you as its dead as a haddock after 10:30!!!!!More
