Great hotel close to the beach and other amenities. Rooms basic and dated but clean. Rooms facing the road are noisy as its a busy road and traffic flows constantly but didnt stop us having a good nights sleep. Food is excellent. Plenty of choice, salads, hot meals, themed nights and lovely desserts. Self service area is usually ok, bit of a wait for the spirits machine as it only dispenses one measure every 30 seconds. You cna also make hot dogs and toasties if youre peckish in between meals and the area is kept stocked and clean. The hotel is due to be refurbished at the end of the season so things may be different next year but couldnt fault it this year.More

An honest review, not all things bad
I must admit it was with some trepidation I checked in here on 19th September having read all the negative reviews on here. There is no doubt about it but the rooms are in need of a massive refurbishment to leapfrog into the 21st century. Hanging space was extremely limited, especially for the other half who had long dresses to hang up. It consisted of a built -in cupboard containing 4 small drawers. what could only be described as a d.i.y attempt at woodwork that had been poorly painted. Sockets consisted of 2, one for t.v, the other by a bedside locker.
The beds are in need of replacement having no doubt seen numerous years of service. The bathroom had an over bath shower together with a foul smelling plastic curtain on a pole that kept falling down. However I must say we were pleasantly surprised that towels were replaced daily and rooms serviced daily. We were all inclusive, and overall food was very good and there was a wide variety to suit all tastes . Breakfasts had from continental to British style fried food, lunches were as good as any town restaurant, and evening meals included roast beef, carved turkey breast, and at least 4 types of fish, so I definitely can't figure out why people were giving bad reviews, if they wanted better they should have stayed at home and cooked their own!!!!
Drinks in the restaurant were from wine taps, alongside a water cooler.
The poolside bar was entered via a turnstile that had some problems reading the bar-code on the wristbands.but the only problems I witnessed were caused by people hogging the spirit dispenser to indulge in doubles, even trebles. Alternative spirits such as Tia Maria, Snapps available from barstaff.
Any wasps were few and far between, and seemed to be attracted to spills or drink cups discarded by guests who were too lazy to take them to the bins.
Self -serve snack food was in abundance, and a paninni hotplate was available for toasties.
As regards sunbeds or rather lack of them, it is surely naieve to expect 500 guests to all get a poolside sunbed. Most guests rose early to bag one, however I feel the best place for most of the older plastic or sagging canvas ones is on the Halloween bonfire as they are a recipe for aching backs.
Parents this pool is NOT child friendly, no slides etc, inflatables not allowed
Daytime entertainment was pathetic, water polo, Quiz, archery and air rifle OUTSIDE hotel. Nightime consisted of background music, presentation of certificates for quiz etc WOW WEEEE!!!! Too much lol.
The bar was closed on the dot of 11:30, so stock up if you intend staying in lounge.
Wifi is poor in the reception area, if you pay â¬5 per day you can get the improved version
Overall I enjoyed my stay, location convenient to facilities of town.More
We stayed in mimosa park for 2 weeks. I like my space so was shocked to see how small the room was & had to share. The bathroom was run down and the hotel was tired looking. The entertainment finished at 11.30pm with just 1/2 hour disco!! U get what u pay for basically... some where to put ur head at night. There was a wide variety of food to choose from as we was an all-inclusive but didnt like the snack bar area, i was swarmed with wasps. A good lick of paint and new bedding/curtains should do the trick.... but on the plus i loved my holiday ðMore
this is our 7th holiday to mimosa park, sadly we could see the decline year on year. the cleaners do an excellent job in keeping the hotel clean, but are fighting against the odds of a hotel in need of complete refurbishment. the top sun terrace is an eyesore filled with broken beds and parasols, the dining room offers good food but alas the condition of the hotel lets it down, will give a miss for a while and hope the management get it sorted out.
