The Mimosa Park Hotel has modern interiors and a good-sized, good-looking pool. As for the cherry on top, the centre-of-town location brings British-style bars and clubs within easy reach. And Palma Nova's beach is just a few minutes' walk away.
The Mimosa Park hotel has everything close by. Palma Nova Beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and you can be at the main hub of clubs and bars in 5. Plus, the superclubs in Magaluf are a 20-minute walk with several bars and pubs along the way.
Inside, things are nice and smart. The spacious lobby, for example, has marble-effect floors and long, low-backed sofas. And bedrooms have a contemporary feel, with white walls and floors, pale-wood furniture and block-coloured bedding.
Outside, the pool is pretty big, and has an island sprouting with palms in the middle. You’ll find a pool bar just to one side, too. There’s also a mini-pool for children with a waterfall to splash about under. The whole area is overlooked by a high-ceilinged, conservatory-style buffet restaurant.
We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel after reading reviews and thoroughly enjoyed our time there despite a few frustrations.
The rooms were basic, but clean. I would say the main frustration we had at the hotel was being able to hear the conversations of anyone next door or in the hallway word for word as the walls were clearly very thin - this meant being woken up on several nights of the holiday which was extremely frustrating.
Another issue we had was water cutting out on us (usually whilst showering) or switching back to the tap when it was supposed to come out of the shower - it was quite a nuisance over the week!
I personally thought the all inclusive drinks system was great with the barcoded entrance which meant you could help yourself to a wide choice of drinks or snacks - sure it was sometimes a pain for a few seconds when you couldn't figure out the scanning part but it was by no means an issue that would affect your holiday!
The food for me was as you'd expect and want from an all inclusive buffet - mostly carbs-based but it's easy to find something everyone wants! I saw a previous comment about them serving "green mush", which I can only imagine was the custard dessert which they must have chosen, so if something doesn't look nice just don't choose it?!
As for the pool, I thought it was poor that people were allowed to reserve sunbeds, but there were always spares stacked up on the side which you could get yourself and find room elsewhere (even if in a slightly shady bit).
One comment I'd make is that if you're planning on sitting by the pool for a day, you may be driven insane by the playlist of around ten songs that plays over and over when entertainment is not going on!
There was entertainment all throughout the day which gave the hotel a good holiday feel with things everyone could get involved in - it was more for kids most of the time though and the evening entertainment was quite awkward and cringe at times but if you can see the funny side of it, it's alright.
All of the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and helpful and the receptionist had a great sense of humour! :)
Overall, a great stay for a 3* hotel! More

Won't be returning
We have just visited this hotel for out fourth time and I am sad to say that it will be our last. We feel that the hotel has 'gone downhill' since our visits over the past 3 years. A lot of the Spanish staff in the restaurant. bar area, reception ad housekeeping are familiar faces and I must say that they do a great job.
Upon arrival we were told that we could have one of our rooms but not the other. One member of our party was offered a transfer to Magaluf, however being in her late 60s it's not quite her scene so she had to bunk down with us until a room became available the next day. There was quite a few guests being shipped out when they checked in, however this was rectified the next day. On the first night we were woken in the early hours by the couple in the neighbouring bellowing at each other with their kids screaming in the background. We heard banging on the door and the security guard telling them to keep the noise down, they argued with him for a while then went quiet for all of 2 minutes and then started again! 2 Security guards came up this time and they finally stopped until early morning when they started to clash their doors repeatedly - the walls are paper thin so this sounded quite loud.
The hotel was very quiet compared to what we have known it to be previously, lots of spare sunbeds all day and plenty of room in and around the pool. Same as everywhere, people were getting up at the crack of dawn to put their towels out, some were even doing it on their way in at 2am. Towelgate commenced one morning when one guest went down and stripped all of the beds of their towels and put them to the side claiming that the security guard done it. I had a bed one morning from 8 and when I popped to wake my hubby up at 9.45 I came back 5 mins later to find that a lady had removed my belongings as it had been her "sun bed all holiday"... Really?!?!?! Haha! It was nice this year to find that not all guests were British, with a mix of Spanish, French and German guests also. The lifeguard was fantastic! She was on the ball through out the day and chatted easily to guests, she had a following of children at one point who just wanted to watch her all of the time.
Entertainment was a bit of a let down compared to previous years. There were 2 girls providing the day and night activities. The daytime schedule was quite good, my eldest really enjoyed it although there wasn't much for my youngest to do. We only watched the night time entertainment once and that was enough for us. The kids club had the longest game of 'Musical statues' I have ever witnessed, as the entertainer couldn't choose between the last 6/7 children and the game wasn't really getting anywhere. The other entertainer performed cabaret and she was really good but this seemed to be repeated every other night on the programme. They both worked very hard though with what didn't look like a big budget and not a lot of help.
The food was lovely, majority of it was fish which could be repetitive but there was usually an alternative. The dining room was very hot with no AC switched on and there always seemed to be flies hovering next to your food. The conservatory does have ceiling fans though so it is a bit cooler.
Our stay wasn't terrible, but being used to a certain standard on our previous stays, it really didn't come close this time. However, the pool and pool area is lovely, staff were great and very helpful and it is only a short 5 minute stroll down to the Palma Nova beaches which are beautiful!
Friendly Staff & wonderful food
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at Mimosa and had a wonderful time...not a problem getting sun beds, but space was an issue...manic first week, but more space 2nd. Entertainment not good at all as there wasn't any, but not an issue for us not having children. Astrid (lifeguard) was lovely...worked hard, but also played with children and had a chat. Kids messing with lifts a pain, but not hotels fault...parents should take control, although an adult pressed every floor when he came out of lift! Main issue for us was smoking around the pool and heat in the dining room, but would recommend :) More
Glad we only went for a week!!!
On arrival was given a room on the first floor, but had asked for a high floor; the receptionist did change this for us, but on going back to the room at 1am the first night, found the bed to be soaking wet, so we were moved to the room next door. We hardly slept all week as we were put on the road side and it was very noisy, even on the 9th floor!! I was told though that the other side of the building was noisy from all the air conditioning units. The air conditioning unit in our room was absolutely useless and very noisy (926. The rooms definitely need updating! The hotel needs a complete refurb and more attention to detail. I was not happy to find out that you could not even get a cup of tea or coffee during the day in a cup!! Polystyrene only!! Also drinks in plastic cups, fair enough by the pool but not if you are inside or the evening. There needs to be an inside bar that you can sit so you can drink out of a glass or a cup. The system for all inclusive is an absolute joke!! It was a complete DIY job! Even the children could help themselves to alcohol!!! You had to help yourself by pressing a button for a measure of spirit (plastic cup) then help yourself to the mixer!! Also children were touching all the food in the all inclusive "bit", where you have to scan your wristband to get through to it!! Joke!! People were climbing over and under to get in anyway. The entertainment???? What entertainment!!! Children running up and down corridors! Would have been nice to have an hairdryer in the room; a fridge and tea/coffee facilities!! You can - but all extra hire cost! Not a great choice of main meals!! We will not be returning to this hotel!!More

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!
I don't know where to begin. My friend and I wanted a relaxing holiday with a standard hotel. It was awful! The food was cold and meats sometimes undercooked. There also wasn't a huge selection. The staff were rude and very patronising, this was known from our first day at arrival. They made us feel like we were a problem. One of the receptionist muttered a very harsh swear word telling my friend and I to "go away". The manager didn't want to hear our complaint as the receptionist said he was too busy. The one called Rafa was amazing and he helped us wherever he could. There were people in the evenings laying on the floor and being sick and kids running around at 2 in the morning. The noise was unbearable in the early hours of the day as the maids would sing, shout in Spanish, slam doors, move furniture and there was a noise sounding as if glasses were being smashed. There was no respect from them at all even though people were sleeping. Also in the morning our door handles would move as if someone was trying to get in. This happened 3 times. I heard there was a number of robberies at the hotel even though people's personal possessions were locked in rooms. I didn't feel safe to leave any prize possessions so would always carry them with me which was a nuisance. The entertainment was good. There were two girls called Robyn and Heather and they tried day and night to keep the customers happy and the kids entertained. Sometimes it was hard to watch as the parents would let their children run on stage whilst performances were taking place and the girls got treated like they were running a nursery. Music was playing in the day and daily activities constantly ran. They were great to talk to and I don't think they get enough credit, especially in this hotel! Some customers were rude for no specific reason, yet they handled it in a dignified manner which is more than what I would do! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you two! Another point of disappointment was drinks at the bar. One being why are we given plastic cups and another being there is hardly any choice for alcohol. I understand if they had a Spanish version of something but they would just say "supermarket" when they didn't have what we wanted. The only thing we enjoyed about the holiday was the location. There is everything on your doorstep and there will never be a dull moment as there is something to do daily. The beach is a short walk away and there are plenty of restaurants and bars you can visit. I will most definitely not be returning to this hotel as it's the worst I have ever stayed in. More
