Hotel Aqua Beach

This good-looking hotel is dressed in blue and white, and comes with a pool and tapas bar. It’s just over the road from Palma Nova Beach, too.

The Aqua Beach has just had a makeover, so it has a contemporary feel. Sleek white bedrooms are accessorised with splashes of aqua – a nod to the hotel’s name.

The hotel is set next to Palma Nova’s huge sandy beach, so you’re just seconds from the Mediterranean Sea. The restaurants and bars in the town centre are only a few minutes’ walk away, too.

Disappointed

Would just like to give some constructive criticism, on arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the hotels entrance bar and communal areas. The first impression of the room was good the hotel has had a refurb, however on closer inspection we found debris and dirt from the previous occupants. They were to live with us for the remainder of our holiday!! The staff are very friendly and helpful it just seems some of the cleaners are not as vigilant. A big letdown is the pool area if you are going for a pool experience don't, we counted 24 sun beds all of which are metal framed yes you work it out metal and 40 degrees of sun and heat as you touched the surface you would burn so beware. The evenings entertainment left a lot to be desired as the hotel have issues with neighbouring properties regarding noise this needs to be resolved as it will effect your stay. Overall we don't think it is a four star yet but it wouldn't take much to get to that level. We enjoyed our stay but not enough to return .More

Staff are brilliant

The pool was excellent with more than enough beds although I had read beforehand there wasn't enough and towels were left that's simply not true if the staff see towels they whip them away the hotel is spotless and the rooms are perfect with more than enough room they are cleaned daily with fresh towels the staff are second to none always helpful and friendly couldn't wish for a better bunch the only thing I could find fault with and it really is hard is its deathly quiet around the pool maybe suggest background radio just for some noise apart from that the place is perfect would definitely recommend and go againMore

Ideal location and base

Good sized room, comfortable double bed. Bath with shower above, Fridge, Kettle TV all worked fine. Safe could be bigger and included in the price. We stayed B&B, there are loads of good restaurants and bars in the immediate area. Breakfast was excellent plenty of hot/cold options, British sausages too, I hate those German hotdog things. Pool area very unimpressive, but beach is only across the road so no problem. Worth paying for a sea-view room on Floors 4 or 5.More

Stylish 3 star plus

Looking back on previous reviews and videos this hotel has undergone an extensive refurbishment of the rooms which now look very stylish. The queen size beds were very comfortable but did compromise the size of the room. The bathroom was a good size as was the balcony. We had a pool/sea view room on the third floor, the view would have been better if the trees out on the street were trimmed but this has nothing to do with the hotel so a higher floor would be better.Towels were changed daily and beds were made but not changed as with previous reviewers. Hotel staff were excellent with the exception of one reception member who was rather abrupt when my wife asked about keeping the room on our last day. Louis on the terrace bar can make a variety of cocktails.Manuel the barman was friendly and mentioned Basil Faulty for some reason (no se nada).Alfonso was very efficient.Doer the waitress always had a smile on her face and realised i wanted a beer not an ashtray when i asked in Spanish. The thomson rep Cat was friendly, informative and always seemed to be there. We were half board.Went down a couple of times for breakfast which was good and rather busy, dinner was a lot quieter as there are plenty of restaurants in the area so a lot of people were b+b,the food was good though. One evening my wife just wanted salad but there were many flies on it,suggest it should be mesh covered? The entertainment was low key with the acts only allowed to play inside the hotel due to some law with noise I think,Johnny Cash tribute,Shirley Bassey with a surprise and a woman singer who's name escapes me.Most nights we went to the stadium bar which was across the road, karaoke up until 11 then a live act.The Jacksons were very good. There were a couple of bars further up the road but we didn't go that far in the evening. Plenty of souvenir shops around with two clean beaches nearby. Would I return to this hotel? Yes, but Palmanova is not as big as I thought it was going to be.Enjoyed it,very hot, even for the Spanish.More

Amazing location for beach and shopping. All you would require on your doorstep

Room, fantastic, cleanliness, towels, beds amazing. T.V only foreign channels with the exception of BBC World News but not really there to watch t.v. Food, not really what you would call 4* but plenty of choice and plenty of it. Entertainment: unsure if the hotel had a music licence. First night advertised from 9-11:30, started at 9.30 finished at 10.30, musicians apologised seemingly no licence and could only play inside. Next night, no show, ? Was it due to the same. 3rd night, again short changed, played inside for an hour........ Shirley Bassey tribute. Needs to sort it out, spoilt the hotels image. Swimming pool: too small for the amount of guests. Beds lovely but not enough and on balcony where spa is but have to come down the floo level for pool. Needs sorting. Apart from that still had a fantastic relaxing week, staff incredibly friendly, helpful and polite.More
