Stopped at this hotel with one girlfriend from 11-19 sept..stayed in room 110. For the price you pay it's a great hotel!! Rooms are basic but clean, bit annoying there isn't a kettle or fridge. Air con was really powerful when balcony door was shut ( all balconies have a pool view). Breakfast was served up until 12.30 and there was a lot of choice. Can't recommend "Pizzeria Gabriel" opposite the hotel enough!!! 9inch pizza made right infront of you for â¬5! We didn't eat anywhere else. There are supermarkets dotted all around the hotel for soft drinks, food, pre drinks etc...all cheap! The beach is just a short walk away, although it's 100 steps down..we did find another beach "palma nova" which was 10 times nicer and easier to get too...just turn right outside hotel and follow road down. The strip is just a short walk down road..."Lennons" was our favourite bar. Beware of reps though as they basically stop you in your tracks and pull you inside their bar all offering you "the best and cheapest deals on the strip". Wouldn't recommend "Western water park" for a day out as you have pay â¬23 to get in plus extras once you get there for lockers and sunbeds etc..And if you are mad enough to get a tattoo over there,go to "sailor tattoo parlour" got my scaffolding piercing done at the nearest one to this hotel and he was very clean and professional. All in all..great low cost hotel, perfect location, clean and you do get â¬50 back (have to hand it over when you check in per person) once check out without them even checking your room for damage!! :) More
Perfect low budget holiday holiday!!
After staying in Lively Magaluf for a week and having the best holiday of my life!! I feel i need to write a review to put all these moaning complaining people straight hahah
The exterior of the hotel is very bright colourful and clean. They have music playing all day, a decent sized pool compared to most hotels you will see in maga, lots of sun loungers and 4 poster bed style sun loungers surrounding the pool, the pool/sunbathing area is cleaned every morning before the pool opens at 8, the bar is open all day and sells cheap drinks and food, there is a pool table downstairs along with comfy chairs.
The staff at livelys reception, bar and maids are very friendly and helpful! You can get fresh towels for your room every day and they change your bedding at least twice in a week!
The reps at lively are very welcoming and help you settle in really easily, they do bombard you and try to make you pay for every single event but thats there job! Personally I wouldn't recommend the MCP bands.. But i did go nearer the end of the season so maybe in peak times the clubs would be busier and it would be more useful as it gets you into 5 clubs for free every night with unlimited drinks!
The rooms in lively are very basic but what do you expect for such a cheap hotel! our room was very very clean with zero faults! The rooms were very spacious and the beds were very comfy!
The breakfasts at lively are really nice with lots of choice! Breakfast is served from 9:30-12 which is amazing on those days you just don't want to move out of bed early!
You are a 2 minute walk from the beach but there is exactly 100 steps to get there hahaha but its worth it because the beach is beautiful and you have a wide choice of beach front restaurants and bars! The main strip is also just a 5 minute walk away so everything is really close but not so close that the noise will keep you up all night! Restaurants go all the way up the street from lively so you have lots of choice as to where to eat!
So if your looking for a convenient, cheap, friendly, lively and enjoyable holiday lively magaluf is perfect!! I will definitely be going again next year!!
Fantastic low budget holiday
After seeing all of the bad reviews of this hotel and having just come back from a fantastic week in magaluf myself I've decided to write a more positive, truthful review.
Firstly, you are going to magaluf, you do not expect luxury because you don't need it. Me and my friends paid just £280 for a weeks stay at the lively including breakfast each day - a price you cannot argue with.
Upon arrival there is a 100 euro deposit per room but you can understand why and as long as you aren't a nuisance you get this back at the end no trouble.
Yes the rooms are basic with minor faults in each room, ours had a dodgy balcony door lock with the handle looking like it was about to fall off and yes the rooms do need some redecoration and sorting out to make them look a bit more modern, but realistically with some of the rowdy groups that stay here each year there probably isn't much point. The room was absolutely fine for what we needed, although we seemed to have 4 beds when there was only 3 of us, I can imagine it would have been extremely cramped with 4 in though!
My opinion on the breakfast was good, it went on until 12 each day which is a rarity in hotels, obviously compensating for all those who are hungover and not wanting to get up early, there was a selection of cooked breakfast with selection varying each day as well as a croissant selection, fruit, yoghurt, juice, toast and even salad, there really wasn't much more you could ask for!
Because we had gone at a quiet time in the year, the pool area was very chilled during the day, yes it's small but it actually gets you far more involved with others in the hotel, the large 4 poster bed like sun loungers were also perfect for sleeping off a hangover! There is also music playing throughout the day so a very chilled vibe. The hotel bar is open throughout the day selling all kinds of food and drinks at very cheap prices, 1.20 for a cold drink and I spotted a lunch menu for around 3-5 euros which you can't argue with.
The reps in our hotel were very friendly and informative, although lots complain about the MCP package we brought this package and have no regrets about it whatsoever. we had each night planned out including two trips to bcm, and a trip to the Pirates show on our first night which we requested. Because of the time we went we paid just 205 euros which was well worth the money because you barely had to spend on Anything else apart from food with unlimited drinks every night in 5 of the biggest clubs where all the events were happening accept one night.
There are plenty of lovely places to eat around the lively with the most delicious food & it is right on the beach front with plenty of bars and restaurants on the beach front too. It is also right at the top of the strip so a two minute walk from the strip yet not too noisy at night because it's tucked away at the same time. There was a couple noisy instances throughout the week but hey what do you expect?
I would recommend staying in the lively if your looking to create a little family during your holiday as everybody becomes really close due to it being a small hotel - but we were incredibly lucky to meet such nice people during our stay!
I heard a lot of comments saying "this is the least lively hotel I've ever stayed in" but this was mid September, I'm sure people wouldn't want constant rowdy ness all day and all night and I'm sure it is a lot more busy at the pool area in peak season.
Overall, I would recommend the lively to all those that aren't wanting Luxury, but are instead wanting a cheap fun holiday you'll remember for the rest of your life in the heart of magaluf life - don't forget your holiday is what you make it! More

Less than impressed
The outside of the hotel shows promise with 4 poster bed sun loungers, bright colours and a decent sized pool. When we first arrived to check in a few other guests at the hotel told us at reception that their room was like a hostel and we shouldn't have booked this hotel. They were right.
There was 3 of us staying in one room, in which there was an ants nest in the corner near my bed, mouldy pizza in the light shade, only 2 balcony chairs suitable to sit on, and a stain on the bedding. On top of this the lock on our balcony door was broken. Also there was writing on the walls...
We told reception the next day and they did nothing about any of the mentioned faults.More
