Holidays to Cala San Vicente take you to a peaceful Majorcan fishing village that has retained its traditional charm, and also boasts three great beaches.
An unspoilt Majorcan fishing port
Cala San Vincente is a traditional little fishing village, and one of the least touristy places in Majorca, with just a select few small hotels and private holiday apartments. It’s set on the northern tip of the island, built into the rocky coastline at the edge of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range – so the sea views are really rather good.
3 walk-to beaches
Cala San Vincente is blessed with three sandy beaches right on its doorstep. The biggest, Cala Barques, sits at the northernmost edge of the village, with secluded Santa Clara just round the corner. Both are a little rocky in places – which snorkellers love – but there’s always Cala Molins, a super-sandy stretch just round the headland.
Daytrips to Pollensa
The old Roman town of Pollensa is just a 10-minute drive away. Its maze-like streets are dotted with tucked-away craft shops, and the church square makes a great place to relax at one of the classy cafés and restaurants. Most visitors also include a visit to the Calvari chapel – there are 365 steps up through cypress trees to get there, but the view makes it worth it.
