The Protur Playa Cala Millor has been refurbished for 2014. This beachside hotel now comes with a sleek lounge area and Zen-like bedrooms.
A pretty promenade is all that separates the newly refurbished Protur Cala Millor from a sandy beach. It’s not far from the town centre, either – you can walk there in less than 10 minutes.
Bedrooms here have all been given a makeover, with sand and stone colour schemes and sleek wooden floors. Outside, there’s a smart new pool that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

My Wife and I have just returned from the Protur Playa Cala Millor after a beautifull 7 night stay. Hotel - The hotel is just stunning , obviously after just having a full refurbishment. Its very modern and contemporary with accents of colours around the hotel. It really is beautiful. Food - The food was of a very high standard. My wife and I are not very "lets stay in the hotel" people so really only ate breakfast everyday. There was plenty of choice from cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, cereals to full English. Only one negative point would be that the coffee isn't quite to my standard. Nescafe really doesn't cut it with me but you really could not ask them to be catering fresh coffee for around 800 people every morning. When we did attend evening it was very nice, always something to eat and again of good quality. The only down side was the vegetarian option. A bit few a far between. none the less still ample. The restaurant operate a 2 sitting arrangement to evening meal. 6.15 and 8.15pm. I understand why they do this, people congregate in the chill out area "the elephant lounge" before their meal. Which is quite lovely to people watch and have a few drinks with the lovely view of the sea in the back ground. On the other hand if you don't like to be dictated to when you eat I can understand how this might annoy a few people. Staff - The staff were absolutely brilliant. Always smiling and being attentive. Most mornings while ordering from the pool bar I was always asked " are you okay today". They all looked like they enjoyed working there. The management were always on display too. Which I thought was a wonderful touch. Not that we needed to speak to them but just in-case you did they were never to far away and certainly not hiding from the guests. The management also hold a Gala dinner each Tuesday night, complete with free cocktails courtesy of the hotel. Complete with an invite "dress to impress". An excellent idea and what I think should happen in other hotels too! Entertainment and Thomson - If I am completely honest the entertainment (Phil) and the Thomson rep (Pricilla) made our holiday. Pricilla was ever attentive to the guests - you would often find her walking around the pool speaking to all guests - finding out if they were okay or could help them in anyway. A really well mannered polite young lady. She advised my wife and I on a few restaurants we should visit, these recommendations were spot on. My wife and I like tea eat local cuisine while away, Pricilla recomended two restaurants that catered for mallorcan Tapas. The first "la calleta" great food , good wine and a splendid view. Just situated on the promenade at the far end. The second being "Olivias" - situated at the harbour of cala bona. This was our favourite, we ate here twice which is not usually our norm while we are away. Please just try it - you will not regret it. Just ask Cilla and she will point you in the right direction. Now then - what can I say about Phil - the events coordinator. This guy has more one liners - banter than some top comedians!! He is a truly live wire but so entertaining. He operates a few activities during the day - Water aerobics, French Boules, Tapas making, wine tasting and a couple of walks. He takes you down to the local market which is lovely and then to the local castle located around the corner from the hotel. All of which is completely gratis!!! On top of all this Phil has a brilliant singing voice! An all round entertainer. He really did put the icing on the cake for the holiday. Thanks Phil - you are a legend! All in all a fabulous Holiday - Well done Protur and well done Thompson.More

One of the best holidays ever.
Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, good choice of food of great quality. Hotel is immaculate. The only downside is those people ( English) who for some reason need to put towels on sunbeds at 6.00am in the morning and do not use them (get a life). We had a sea view room (531) that looked along the promenade all the way to cala bona and the mountains beyond, beautiful.More

We have just returned from a fantastic week at this hotel.I cannot praise it enough, the decor and the rooms were excellent. The staff were very polite and friendly. The food was out of this world. Having just been renovated I was a bit apprehensive but we need not have worried and we would go back again.More

wonderful from start to finish!
We returned from this hotel on 2nd august and couldn't fault one thing! We had a full sea view room on 6th floor - the room was fantastic. The attention to detail overall in this hotel is what makes it. Food was excellent. The staff are exceptional and treat you like friends will definitely return.More

Just returned 3 days ago after staying at this lovely hotel. The room was a side sea view which was lovely ,very clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and so much to choose from ,all nicely presented and staff very friendly. The a la carte restaurant is not to be missed, the food was delicious. The entertainment perhaps could be improved but it didn't affect our stay at this beautiful hotel. We look forward to returning.More
