Protur Playa Cala Millor

The Protur Playa Cala Millor was refurbished in 2014. This beachside hotel now comes with a sleek lounge area and Zen-like bedrooms.

A pretty promenade is all that separates the newly refurbished Protur Cala Millor from a sandy beach. It’s not far from the town centre, either – you can walk there in less than 10 minutes.

Bedrooms here have all been given a makeover, with sand and stone colour schemes and sleek wooden floors. Outside, there’s a smart new pool that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

We stayed here in July 2014 and in every aspect it was 100% and more. We definitely want to return and would like a Jacuzzi rom, however Thomson site not giving option, have contacted them and are unable to tell me and have contacted hotel direct and they say Thomson have 100% occupancy, if you have booked one for this coming summer could you please advise how you did it please? Thank you very much.More

Protur Playa Perfect

Stayed at this lovely hotel last summer (June 2014). we had such an amazing stay. The rooms are so beautiful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The rooms gave off such a lovely ambience. The staff were so attentive and friendly they made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was perfect . Lovely fresh food cooked right in front of you to order. This was the highlight of the stay for me. The pool jacuzzi gym were all well equipt and couldn't have been better. The sun loungers and ibiza style beds were a lovely difference to plastic sun loungers !!! Oh and a champagne reception when arriving !!! Perfect way to start the holiday!!!! I would 100% recommend this hotel.More

Perfect Hotel

The girlfriend and I stayed at this amazing hotel last August and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool areas is so chilled and relaxing along with the elephant area. We stayed in August and I'm sure the hotel was full booked but we never had a problem finding a sunbed, it's the four poster beds which are hard to come by but we didn't mind as as long as we could enjoy the sun. Food was always top quality and every night there was new choices! Entertainment was on every night and we enjoyed listening in from inside the bar abs exampling the cocktails on offer! Can not wait to return again this summer and we have managed to book a jacuzzi room as that was the only thing that could of improved our holiday last time!More

Went back 6 weeks later !! Still Perfect

Hotel was so nice we went back for our wedding anniversary in august, wasn,t allowed to post again on here within 3 months of first post as we had only been in June, we will return again this year and urge anyone thinking of booking not to hesitate and do it now. Sunbed issue had been sorted, evening entertainment much better and ALL staff including Priscilla the rep were top class, Food quality and choice excellent, Resort very clean and safeMore

Our new favourite hotel and booked already for this year

We visited for 1 week in October 2014. Right from arriving at the Hotel and receiving a glass of wine whilst awaiting our key, right up to when we had to leave (upsetting), this Hotel was perfect. The sea view rooms were awesome. We enjoyed one looking up towards Cala Bona which we had requested, having been to Cala Millor twice before. We had a feeling this would be the best view which we think it was, although a few lucky people may argue that the top floor at the very front with the outside jacuzzi were even better. We stayed half board and fantastic for me was able to sit outside for my breakfast overlooking the lovely pool towards the beach. Loads of choice for breakfast and evening meal, the food was great each time. We never noticed the A la carte restaurant opened but prefer buffet to have a selection. One evening during the meal they had a small line of tables with samples of different snacks outside, I suppose a little like tapas I guess. This was a great touch but probably at the wrong time during the meals. There was also one evening where they had a dress to impress evening where all the staff and the manager get together just before the evening meal started, they were giving out glasses of sangria and maybe other drinks, the staff were all smiling as though they were enjoying this and I would like to say, well done to them all for making our Holiday one to remember. The luxury beds around the pool were so comfortable in a way I could imagine never moving off them all your Holiday. Lucky for us most people were later down after breakfast than me and my wife so we got us a prime spot by the poolside. I can imagine in the Summer time it would be much more difficult to get the luxurious sunbeds but there were many sun loungers which were empty, obviously the Hotel was probably not as full as earlier months. I do think that if the cushioned mattresses on these sunbeds are not replaced this year (2015) the condition of them will be very stained as we saw a few looking discoloured while we were there. The elephants chill out area is such a chilled out area just outside the bar and the outside jacuzzi was amazing especially when watching passers by giving you the thumbs up looking at you enviously. The staff were all very good, we never saw the entertainment so cannot comment on it. For an early evening they have a decent choice of UK TV channels, lovely laying on the king size beds, best relax I have had on any holiday. As for Cala Millor, we love staying in the resort, we haven't been to exotic places around the world but at the moment feel happy and comfortable and cannot see ourselves going to any other resort. To us, a middle aged couple it is ideal. Great walking to Sa Coma, Cala Bona and to the Castel. I love watching other couples walking along the beautiful promenade and the sea and beach can't be much better on the beaches of the Caribbean. There are plenty of classy shops and lovely restaurants on the street behind the Hotel, nice to walk along on an Evening. No Night clubs or rowdy, noisy young adults (stay away). Even like walking to Sa Coma in the pitch black on the Road at night. It is really bugging me been so positive as I can only see these reviews making it number one Hotel in Cala Millor are beginning to worry me as the prices seem to be higher than I had hoped for our preferred time of year. I hope they don't keep going up. Anyhow, sorry for the essay, if you do go you will love it I am sure.More
