Had a lovely few days here with my boyfriend. Very nice hotel but a few little things could be improved. When we first entered our room it was boiling in there as the heating system was on and when we asked how to put the air conditioning on we were told they don't put it on until later in the year... 25 degrees outside I'd say the air conditioning could be put on in April..not a huge deal though we just opened front and back door to let a breeze through and turned the heating off! The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The food was nice...nothing amazed me but just nice(restaurant was also very hot,no windows open or air con) the pool area was lovely...roof top infinity pool was a luxury...good entertainment provided at night...excellent cocktails!! Really nice location opposite the beach and a short walk into a nice little town.very friendly staff. Would definitely return just hopefully with the air conditioning on! More
Hotel is lovely , so relaxing with beautiful sea views. A perfect place for a chilled out relaxing week. We had a double sea view room which was a reasonable size , balcony, fridge ,tea and coffee making facility with bottle of water provided daily. Rooms cleaned to a high standard with lovely thick white towels provided. The main pool was lovely and no problem getting sunbeds or daybeds, the chill out zone is superb with large sofas and double hammocks to relax in. There is also a rooftop pool area , a little small but again all so relaxing. Pool snack bar is mainly sandwiches and salads with chips, but all were really tasty and reasonably priced. Good selection of choices at both breakfast and dinner, fresh vegetables grilled while you wait and the desserts were amazing just to look at, I don't usually eat dessert but they all looked delicious. You are allocated one night free at the a la carte restaurant during your stay, this was delicious, food was beautiful. Entertainment at the hotel was good ,not always to our taste though ,but then everyone is different. Not much going on at this time of year outside the hotel at night , but then it's just the start of the season. All the staff at the hotel were amazing, so friendly and efficient , could not mention anyone in particular as they were all such happy friendly smiling people who made us feel we were special, so thank you all for making our stay so memorable and thank you Marie for having such wonderful staff. Shall we be back, we certainly will ,can't wait.More
4 Day Birthday Break
Just returned from 4 day break to celebrate a family birthday - and this hotel was an excellent choice as a base for the celebrations. Hotel is situated at the south end of Cala Millor on the east of the island-transfer time from Palma Airport around 70 mins.It is right on the beach with a variety of bars, shops etc within walking distance. The resorts of Cala Bona and Sa Coma are within 10 min by bus/taxi. The Hotel itself has three pools, the two outdoor pools have bar service. The 'rooftop' pool is small but heated with good views and sunbathing areas. The main pool is of reasonable size and there were no problems in obtaining sunbeds-there is also a snack bear with lunch (until 3.30pm) The service was attentive and friendly at all times. We had a double seaview room-which was of good size with flatscreen TV, Wardrobe space, balcony, Mini Fridge and tea/coffee making facility. Modern decor with good size walk-in shower, safe deposit and a king size, comfortable bed. Room cleaned daily and we could not fault the room facilities at all-it met our needs exactly with only one niggle-the air conditioning is not available until May and it got quite warm at night. As we were situated on the second floor, it got quite noisy when we opened the patio door, particularly early mornings. I would also like to mention the cleaning staff-they do an excellent job. Food: Plenty of variety at both breakfast and dinner and all of a high quality-was less impressed with lunchtime fare but there are plenty of lunch alternatives in the town. Breakfasts and dinners were up with the best we have experienced in 20 years of holiday-making. Service: As mentioned in other reviews of this hotel, it is the service which sets the Protur Playa apart-we would also like to thank the Staff for helping to make our Birthday celebrations so special-and the bottles of sparkling wine were greatly appreciated. The only (minor) negative point aside fro the lack of air conditioning was the length of time it took to check in (although refreshments are provided while you wait) In summary, we believe this Hotel is a great choice for all ages and we would thoroughly recommend this to adults of all ages and would return again.More
Top class hotel
From getting out of the taxi to getting back into the taxi for the return journey everything about this hotel was top class. The friendly staff and the cleanness of the hotel was outstanding. The dinning room was excellent and efficiently run by Tony who always made you welcome. The food was delicious and well cooked and always plenty to choose from..Our room on the second floor with a sea view was excellent as was the maid service who were always friendly and kept the room spotless. All in all one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.The only one small point I found disappointing was the standard of dress that some guest used to turn up for dinner in.A better dress code would reflect the high standards the the hotel has.But great hotel great staff and had a great holiday. Will return.More
THE BEST YET ......
We stayed here in late March-early April. Apart from an initial delay booking in on arrival (due to 2 coach loads of arrivals and only 2 staff on at that time) this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The room was immaculate though not large compared to some we have stayed at but the facilities were brilliant. Bottled water, tea and coffee replaced daily. Safe for a small fee. Free Wifi. Great views from rooms. Bed was huge and very comfortable Slight irritation was the modern smart pads for lighting as in the dark it was impossible to find the right button so all lights were switched on. Hotel has modern décor throughout with comfy seating in all areas. It has a friendly atmosphere (mainly British guests during our stay) The staff were attentive and very pleasant. All hotel is half board. Restaurant was immaculate, spacious and well run with inconspicuous but very attentive and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The food was hot, varied and very tasty with theme nights and a free sitting for all guests in the A La Carte restaurant on site. Entertainment was varied from flamenco to rock but loud on occasion and we were glad to be on a high floor as it went on till around 11pm. Located within 20m of a lovely, clean beach and close to shopping areas and local night life, this hotel really is ideally situated. We travelled with Thomsons and there is an on site rep all week. This is a hotel we will definitely revisit again and again.More
