Protur Playa Cala Millor

This adults-only hotel was refurbished in 2014. This beachside hotel now comes with a sleek lounge area and Zen-like bedrooms.

A pretty promenade is all that separates this newly refurbished hotel from a sandy beach. It’s not far from the town centre, either – you can walk there in less than 10 minutes.

Bedrooms here have all been given a makeover, with sand and stone colour schemes and sleek wooden floors. Outside, there’s a smart new pool that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

Great place to stay

Just returned from a cruise and stay fortnight. The second week we stayed here at this lovely hotel and wasn't disappointed. The rooms are well furnished in a modern style and extremely clean. All the staff are helpful and friendly especially the roof top bar staff in the evenings. We enjoyed plenty of strawberry daiquiris in the evenings looking out onto a beautifully lit pool. Our first time in an adults only hotel and will definitely do it again now we are no longer holidaying with children. The food is wonderful and we only ate out once at lunchtime to try tapas. Would recommend without a doubt.More

Pauline H,

Exceptional Hotel

Just arrived back from staying at this hotel- which was very very good! From checking in to leaving the staff were amazing and very helpful. The quality of the food in the restaurant was on a 5 star level especially the show cooking- so much choice every time! There was also an a la carte which you can dine at for 1 night of your stay which unfortunately due to having to wear long trousers I chose not too- never wear long trousers when abroad !!! There were only 2 reasons I chose not to give a 5 star rating and they were only my personal gripes- 1 was the wi fi was very slow most times and secondly was the reserving of sunbeds. It was incredible to watch at 8am in a morning the rush of people racing out to the pool side to get their towels on the "best" beds including some comfy double ones on a decking facing the pool- it was like wacky races!!- it was always the same faces and to be honest the Brits were probably the worst culprits ! Although the hotel had a policy of you couldn't leave your bed unattended for 90mins I didn't see this enforced and I think they should just have a blanket policy of non reserving at all - if you don't need your bed- take your towels and leave it for someone else ! As for the comfy bed I think the hotel should allow these particular ones to be reserved prior to each day via reception with a premise that you can only use once during your stay giving everyone a chance. Other than that everything was fabulous and we will definitely go back.More

Sorry this is not a review yet it's an observation of my forthcoming excited anticipation based on all other reports. I never write reviews good or bad but will quietly observe the written comments from fellow travellers. On this occasion I feel compelled to mention that I've never read such positive reports about a hotel. The reviews are fantastic with many returning guests ( surely this is the barometer to measure any success in the hotel industry) We check in here after a weeks cruise in Sep t 2016 and to be completely honest I'm looking forward to meting the staff and visiting the hotel now more than the cruise. Thanks to all who take the time to write their reviews and perhaps I should make more of an effort.More

Lovely clean hotel, beautiful pool with plenty sunbeds. Only problem we had was with the lift, got trapped in it, luckily a couple got out and realised somthing was wrong and sent her partner down to reception to get us help, I was pressing alarm but felt we were ignored by staff.Think this has happened before as the maintenance man ( who couldn't speak english) understood what happened. I request to be moved to low floor as I didn't feel comfortable to use the lift again. Also think there should be a dress code for evening meal, after all this is a platinum hotel. More

Highly recommended

We visited this hotel in July 2016 for seven nights. This is an excellent hotel and we will certainly go back. It is situated a stone's throw away from a long sandy beach, where we spent most of our time. The hotel pool area was very nice but we preferred to be on the beach. There was some reserving of sun beds around the pool but there were usually beds still available late morning. The staff at the hotel work very hard to make guests feel welcome and it was evident that a number of guests were regular visitors. Food was plentiful with a good selection and regularly replenished. Drinks were very reasonably priced and getting served was never a problem. The evening entertainment was professional acts and in the week we were there, very good. The Bob Marley tribute act was particularly good. Most rooms appear to have a sea view and there is a roof-top bar and pool. The area of Cala Millor has plenty of shops and bars but a low key night life which suited us. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.More
