Above all, the Inturotel Esmeralda Resort offers up a great pool scene. On the food front, the in-house barbecue and pizza place are guest favourites, plus Cala d'Or and its bars and restaurants are close to hand. A petite beach is even nearer.
The Inturotel Esmeralda Resort has an impressive location, hugging one of Cala d’Or’s peaceful little coves. What’s more, the property gives you easy access to the town centre’s shops, restaurants and bars – they’re around a 15-minute walk away.
The resort is made up of two hotels – the Esmeralda Park, which is on the beach, and the Cala Azul Garden, which is located just across the road from the Esmeralda – so there’s plenty in the way of facilities. Three swimming pools lead the way, flanked by grassy lawns, palms and greenery. Plus, you’ve got activities like minigolf and aerobics to choose from during the day.
In terms of food, the buffet restaurant features international cuisine and on-the-spot cooking stations in. If you fancy a change, though, there’s also a barbecue grill, and a pizzeria where you can get food to go.
You'll find 2 pools at Esmeralda Park hotel, 1 of them is an activity pool and comes with its own children's area. If that wasn't enough, there's another pool at Cala Azul Garden designed for fun with the family. Both have spacious sun terraces and are dotted with sunbeds and parasols. A deposit is required for pool towels.
I have been back to Esmeralda Park so many times with my wife and children I have lost count! I've seen other reviews that say this is very family orientated and this is true of here and much of Cala d'Or. Our apartments have always been exceptionally clean and the staff are sp friendly. Location is perfect and I loved the daily waterpolo that was played in great humour with up to 20 people at a time! Special mention for Jasper who was great with the adults and built great rapport with the teenagers (including my son!)More

This is our 4th time in Cala D'or but 1st time in the Esmerelda Park. We loved it, it's close to the beach, plenty of entertainment both day and night. Maid service five days a week, close to shops and restaurants. We were concerned that my son who is 14 would be bored this year, however he made plenty of friends as there were many teenagers staying there and are already making arrangements to return next year!More

Brilliant hotel for all
We have just got back from a two week stay at the Esmeralda Park and we had a brilliant time. The hotel is very clean and well looked after. All the staff are very nice and helpful from the maids to the bar staff to the reception staff. The reception staff were very helpful and answered any questions we had and are very knowledgeable about Majorca. The pool was very nice and the location is excellent with it's very own beach and is only a nice 5 min walk to the centre of Cala D'or. The shows the entertainment staff put on were brilliant and very entertaining and they also did a lot of shows for kids. It is a very family friendly and would highly recommend this hotel to families but it is also very good for a couple. It was just myself and girlfriend and we couldn't speak highly of the hotel. The only downside was that you have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach that belonged to the hotel or if you use sundbeds near the poolside bar at the adult hotel you had to pay even though it is part of the same hotel changed. We were not happy about this but you could just lie on your towel on the beach but this was not fair and also the price at the poolbar are expensive especially soft drinks it was £4 for a large soft drink which is very expensive.. Apart from this I would recommend the hotel to anyone we had a brilliant holiday.More

We stayed in the Esmeralda Park for 10 nights and had a brilliant time. The room was ready from around 2pm the day we arrived and stayed in block L. The apartment was excellent, was very clean, spacious and relaxing. It had quite a lot of English channels, more than i've experienced before in Spanish hotels and air con, which was definetly required. The beds weren't too bad but not the best either.
It's quite a large complex type area with various hotels covered under the same 'Inturotel' brand around each other. We had no problem in finding a sunbed on the grass overlooking the cove, but the pool sunbeds seem to be snapped up early and quite busy round there. The pool bar wasn't too bad either with 'happy hour' between 4:30 - 5:30.
The entertainment was ok at best, it seemed to consist of the hotel's entertainment team doing the majority of the evening entertainment with the odd external act now and again. Just watch your money/change at night though when paying for drinks, we gave a 50 euro note to the waitress and after 15 mins finally got our change which was wrong. We chased up and they thought we gave a 20 euro note, funny it's never the other way round isnt it!
I want to reserve a special mention to the work the cleaners and maintenance staff put in, it's fantastic and is reflected in the spotless rooms and grounds. We saw the maintenance guys cleaning the recycling bins every few days!
Will i be returning to the Emseralda Park in the future?..........AbsolutelyMore
