At the Inturotel Esmeralda Resort, you get two hotels for the price of one – and they’re both just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach.
The Inturotel Esmeralda Resort has an impressive location, hugging one of Cala d’Or’s peaceful little coves. What’s more, the property is within easy walking distance of the town centre.
The resort is made up of two hotels – the Esmeralda Park, which is on the beach, and the Cala Azul Garden, which is just across the road from the Esmeralda – so there’s plenty in the way of facilities.
You'll find two pools at Esmeralda Park hotel, one of them is an activity pool and comes with its own children's area. If that wasn't enough, there's another pool at Cala Azul Garden designed for fun with the family. Both have spacious sun terraces and are dotted with sunbeds and parasols. A deposit is required for pool towels.
Light and airy with natural furnishings make these 1-bedroom apartments stylish. Located in the Cala Azul Gardens, they come with a kitchenette and a lounge with 2 sofa-beds. Wi-Fi* is also available. You'll have access to the balcony from the lounge and bedroom too.
Located in the Esmeralda Park block, these 1-bedroom apartments are light and airy offering a comfortable stay. They come with a kitchenette, lounge with 2 sofa-beds and a furnished balcony with small table and chairs. Wi-Fi* is also available.

Stayed here for 1 week at the end of October with our 9 year old twins. Had a premium apartment which was lovely and still smelled brand new. The whole hotel was very clean and staff were friendly although some seemed to be looking forward to the end of the season.
We stayed half board and the food was of a very good standard and there was always something that we found that we liked. The kids enjoyed their 5-course breakfast and evening meals! The only thing is that you need to buy your own drinks in the evening, nothing is supplied, the drinks machines with orange and apple juice or water, tea and coffee that is there during breakfast is all covered up. Also remember that there is no drinkable tap water on the island so you need to drink bottled water or you won't have a very enjoyable holiday!
Esmeralda beach is lovely, as well as the other nearby coves (Ferrera and Cala d'Or were other favourites). The pools were quite cold but that is to be expected due to the time of year.
If you need to go to a supermarket then don't bother with the Spar's of which there are many around, they are very overpriced. Instead, go to Suma which is the closest larger supermarket and also has a fresh meat and seafood area as well as a bakery. To get there, go out the main reception and turn left as if you were going into Cala d'Or centre. When you get to the end of the road and see the square in front of you with the kids play park then turn right and it's at the roundabout ahead of you (about a 10 minute walk in total).
I would return to the hotel again as it was lovely but I wouldn't go back the same time again as we didn't realise that as it was the end of season it meant that EVERYTHING in Cala D'or shut down on 31st October. Even the local buses stopped running and there were only a handful of restaurant's open in the Cala D'or centre, but apart from this we had a lovely time and I would recommend the hotel to others.More

Beware of the end of season!
This hotel would have got 4 stars from me: spacious rooms great location with intimate sandy coves. I would highly recommend it but not at the end of the season.
On the last day of our holiday, while relaxing by the pool I couldn't help being disturbed by the sustained thudding of furniture being thrown off the balcony of a third floor apartment onto the grass below.
This did not give a good final impression and one sensed that the attitude was,
'We've already got your money now so we can do what we like!'
I complained at reception saying that it was not very relaxing to hear this noise and more importantly what if a child ran in the path of the descending items?
I was told that there were pools further away which I could use if I wanted to!!More
We stayed here as a family of 4 for 1 week in October. 2 children aged 3 & 9
The positives -The location and staff were amazing. They all work very hard, and are very friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the quality of food was very good, a lot of choice and fresh, plus a good variety.
We had a fantastic view of the bay from our apartment, with a lovely balcony and it was very clean and spacious. Location is close to shops and Cala D'or is very pretty with lots of cafes/ bars, etc.Children loved the kids club.
The negatives - The cooking facilities in the apartment are poor, 2 hot rings, no oven, really not good enough if you wish to go self catering.
The indoor pool, is awful, way too much chlorine in the pool, and the noise was unbearable, light and extractor fans needed in there.
The sofa beds, were not sofa beds, they were a sofa with an old dated smelly foam cushion that was used to sleep on. The base under the cushion had been replaced by what appeared to be carcasses from an old kitchen and it was not my definition of a sofa bed as it did not lie flat, unfold, or have a mattress.
You really need to have a better kitchen area, and real sofa beds.More

The hotel is excellent and in a beautiful setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. we upgraded to half board for 4 days and the food was excellent. One tip _don't close your patio door when you are on the balcony as you will lock yourself out of your room as we did! The staff quickly rescued us and explained that this was because we hadn't locked our room door.More
Excellent resort & facilities, superb location. Downside, evening show on 1 occassion was not suitable for children, singing/acting a song about forcing sex on 17yr old girl. Not appropriate when lots of children in attendance. More
