At the Inturotel Esmeralda Resort, you get two hotels for the price of one – and they’re both just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach.
The Inturotel Esmeralda Resort has an impressive location, hugging one of Cala d’Or’s peaceful little coves. What’s more, the property is within easy walking distance of the town centre.
The resort is made up of two hotels – the Esmeralda Park, which is on the beach, and the Cala Azul Garden, which is just across the road from the Esmeralda – so there’s plenty in the way of facilities.
You'll find two pools at Esmeralda Park hotel, one of them is an activity pool and comes with its own children's area. If that wasn't enough, there's another pool at Cala Azul Garden designed for fun with the family. Both have spacious sun terraces and are dotted with sunbeds and parasols. A deposit is required for pool towels.
Located in the Esmeralda Park block, these 1-bedroom apartments are light and airy offering a comfortable stay. They come with a kitchenette, lounge with 2 sofa-beds and a furnished balcony with small table and chairs. Wi-Fi* is also available.
Light and airy with natural furnishings make these 1-bedroom apartments stylish. Located in the Cala Azul Gardens, they come with a kitchenette and a lounge with 2 sofa-beds. Wi-Fi* is also available. You'll have access to the balcony from the lounge and bedroom too.
We had a premium room which was nicely valued. Modern and clean with nice decor and free wifi.
Common areas, beach and the staff are mostly really nice.
Why i didnt rate 5 stars? I would have hoped that the housekeeping would have included washing dishes, we stayd only 4 nights and so didnt mind buying a soap for dishes, so we didnt have any plates or mugs after the first night.. Also would a 5* hotel make their premium customers do the dishes.. Very noisy from the neighbours and because of the entertainment.. The room is freezing without a chance to impact.More
Great all round family holiday
Did not expect this hotel to be great, BUT we were pleasantly surprised, We normally stay in 4/5 star and this should definitely be up there it doesn't do the hotel justice being a 3 star. I asked for a ground floor suite so it was easy to carry the kids and swimming gear there and back, clean modern spacious, the maids clean the room 5 days a week more if needed, and replace the towels, mop and Hoover, and replace the towels ect,
I would compare it with a 4 star shark el sheik hotel.
We did bed and breakfast, which was great, bacon, egg, and continental as well. You can pay extra to eat in the restaurant for lunch and dinner as well, we did once and the rest of the time we had snacks or went out for dinner, there's lots of restaurants within a few minutes walk. Recommend using the Road train it goes all around the town you can get on and off, We got off and went to the marina / Barbour for dinner and got the last one back, Then there's the star fish boat which Stops literally on the beach in the cove, it takes you all up coast and back, again you can get off and on.
Great entertainment for the kids, we didn't do much in the day with the entertainment but in the night there was a mini disco 815pm until 9pm, then there was a show on every night 9-10pm different theme every night. If we go back to Mallorca we will be going back to this hotel.
The pool was a bit cold but did warm up the last few days of the holiday, it did does have an indoor sauna, jacuzzi and pool so we took the kids there for the 1st few days,
Great beach literally behind the pool, white sand.More
Sadly didn't enjoy this time round.
We visited Esmerelda last year at the same time and we had an amazing week and couldn't rate the hotel highly enough. Please see my previous reviews on this hotel. This time though we were very disappointed. The rooms and basics (cleanliness and decorations) were just as good as last year, spotless, and as a returning customer greater with a bottle of wine from the management but the food that I raved about last year had really gone down hill. It felt like canteen food with not as much selection and quite repetitive. We paid to go halfboard and I wish we hadn't now. Breakfast was fine but dinner was poor. From what I would have rated last year as a 5 star would only get a 3 from me this year. Such a shame.
Entertainment was held outside and very poor and repetitive. The animation team just miming to songs. Last year we had snakes and parrots and comedy... Again. This year though I have to raise, as a complaint really, that the entertainment at times was completely unsuitable for children. It was sexually suggestive at times with inappropriate gay sexual innuendo along with swearing and inappropriate context. Whether the production was 'lost in translation' remains to be seen but either way it was uncomfortable to watch at times. Esmerelda please have your entertainment checked for these issues before staging the productions.
I am not a whinger as last year I couldn't rate this place highly enough but not impressed this year. Questionable whether I will book again now.
Sorry Esmerelda I think you're fabulous but really wasn't impressed this year. You've got it right on so many levels yet 2 fundamentals are now letting you down.
10 minute walk from town centre to one of the nicest marinas we've ever seen.
Definitely going again, by far one of the cleanest places we've ever visited.More
Good hotel but poor choice of room
We had a room over the reception area/bar area/entertainment area. Constant noise from early morning. If you want peace and quiet then don't get a room close to the reception area. There are many apartment blocks on site which looked to be in quieter areas of the complex. The rooms were fine and comfortable and the complex is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants in Cala D'orMore
