Above all, the Inturotel Esmeralda Resort offers up a great pool scene. On the food front, the in-house barbecue and pizza place are guest favourites, plus Cala d'Or and its bars and restaurants are close to hand. A petite beach is even nearer.
The Inturotel Esmeralda Resort has an impressive location, hugging one of Cala d’Or’s peaceful little coves. What’s more, the property gives you easy access to the town centre’s shops, restaurants and bars – they’re around a 15-minute walk away.
The resort is made up of two hotels – the Esmeralda Park, which is on the beach, and the Cala Azul Garden, which is located just across the road from the Esmeralda – so there’s plenty in the way of facilities. Three swimming pools lead the way, flanked by grassy lawns, palms and greenery. Plus, you’ve got activities like minigolf and aerobics to choose from during the day.
In terms of food, the buffet restaurant features international cuisine and on-the-spot cooking stations in. If you fancy a change, though, there’s also a barbecue grill, and a pizzeria where you can get food to go.
You'll find 2 pools at Esmeralda Park hotel, 1 of them is an activity pool and comes with its own children's area. If that wasn't enough, there's another pool at Cala Azul Garden designed for fun with the family. Both have spacious sun terraces and are dotted with sunbeds and parasols. A deposit is required for pool towels.
We travelled to this hotel in August 2014, with a 14 and 11 year old we went self- catering.
Firstly the room was clean and it had all the facilities we needed through-out the holiday.
there was a lot of activities for children and adults including water polo, water zumba, basketball and many more. Everyday our children would play in the water polo matches and a lot of the pool would watch. One fault to the hotel is that you couldn't get a sunbed in the morning till about 3 in the afternoon but I enjoyed sunbathing on the beach while the kids were playing in the pool or the sea. The beautiful cove of Cala Esmeralda was only a couple steps away from the pool.
My kids spent hours in the sister hotel , Cala Azul Park which has special private access to the water where you can jump off rocks and snorkel seeing thousands of fish. As we were self catering we didn't visit the hotel buffet often but the times we did visit, there was a great selection of food like seafood paellas to pasta dishes. however if we went to the buffet as full board it may be very repetitive to have it every night. the restaurants of the town were really nice especially down at the marina where the atmosphere is brilliant.
the resort was extremely clean and all the staff were so so so nice!
all in all we would defiantly go back we are looking to return next summer!More

Great family apartments
Great family apartments. Not really suitable for a quite hol.
Busy out of season I personally wouldn't visit in summer holidays. The reception gets really busy don't check out at the last minute!!
Our bathroom was a bit tired but one of the cleanest places I've stayed.
Good value and we plan to visit again.More
Absolutely fantastic family holiday!!
My husband and 2 children had an amazing time at Esmeralda Park. The rooms, range of food, cleanliness and facilities were faultless. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. We went with another family and it was a last minute booking yet we got a top class holiday.
Definitely going back in 2015!!More
Perfect place for families!
Located just over the best little "cala" of the area, with amazing clean blue water. The facilities are very good, with lots of activities for children and different swimming pools. The food is also good and freshly made. Make sure you always keep some place in your stomachs for the amazing desserts.
But the best of all is the staff: helpful, professional, attentive, dedicated and kind. Not a single complaint about any of them.
We stayed at one of their fabulous villas, that are definitely worth the money. Living room, 2 en-suite double bedrooms with very comfortable beds, a kitchen and a big terrace with incredible views to the sea.
Good for families not for older couples
Never been to Mallorca before, now I have would have chosen differently, this is no fault of the hotel as for what it was it was ok. Booked to stay in September as we always do as school holidays are over and we are in our 50's so no young ones. However even late September it was rammed with families with children. Even that would have not been so bad if like other hotels we have stayed at, they designated one of there 3 pools to adults but unfortunately all the pools were taken over and very noisy. once again I'm only advising those people looking for a quieter more adult set up. if you have a young family this is a very good place to stay.
one last moan. we were put in block J. do not except block J when your checking in if you want a good nights sleep. it is right on the roundabout where you are dropped off by the coaches. from about 5.30 am the coaches start arriving and they sit outside with the diesel engines running. the windows in the apartment would start vibrating and that the end of your sleep.
To finish on a positive, the food in the hotel was very very good with lots of variety and themes very night. Rooms were absolutely fine although a bit dated but no complaints and good size. TV gets English channels if you want to keep up with corra while your away. Town centre about ten minutes walk but plenty of bars near by. Hope the review helps the couples without children avoid this hotel and the couples with children choose it as this is for you.More
