At the Inturotel Esmeralda Resort, you get two hotels for the price of one – and they’re both just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach.
The Inturotel Esmeralda Resort has an impressive location, hugging one of Cala d’Or’s peaceful little coves. What’s more, the property is within easy walking distance of the town centre.
The resort is made up of two hotels – the Esmeralda Park, which is on the beach, and the Cala Azul Garden, which is just across the road from the Esmeralda – so there’s plenty in the way of facilities.

Great family getaway
We stayed for 7 nights, the first week in july. Our apartment was in block O (room 304) which was on the third floor so quite a few steps. Spotlessly clean and towels were replaced every day (even when we hung them on the pegs, so I would say the cleaners were exceptional). Restaurant had a wonderful view over the bay with a great and varied selection of food every night. We chose not to attend the grill meal (held on the Friday for a surcharge) and we were not sure if the 'normal' buffet would be to a lower standard or not. I would go so far as to say it was the best of the week. They still had an excellent selection, with the usual 'live' cooking taking place. There was one day our son managed to cut his hand whilst trying to open his roll at breakfast - the waiter was straight over with a first aid kit, cleaning it, iodine put on and plaster applied. The pool was busy but not too busy as start of season. There was the usual towel placement on loungers but we managed to secure 3 loungers for our family every day without any issue. The lifeguards do place notices on loungers to say that after 40 mins they will remove towels if nobody is back, and we did see this happen. There are are 2 small supermarkets just a 5 min walk from the complex, which were great for ice-creams/water as well as buying bread/cold meat for lunches. We also took a walk to the marina one day which was only around 20-25mins with two small children. Entertainment for children is your standard 'cheesy' europop songs but kids loved it. They also give an opportunity for children to join in each day if they sign up for afternoon rehearsal. Our 4 year old did this and was a pirate in the neverland show, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Adult entertainment we only saw once, but it was enjoyable. They had a few shows we'd have liked to have seen but we were just not able to go. My only complaint would be that they do not do an all inclusive option, just half board. We would not hesitate to return in the future and once the kids are grown up we would love to try the adult only part of the hotel too.More
Great holiday and resort
Very happy with our stay. We felt the hotel was in an excellent location with easy access to lots of nice shops and bars. The whole resort seemed very family friendly with a nice relaxed atmosphere. In addition, the location of the hotel seemed to benefit from a nice cool wind which kept the temperature below 30 around the pool area, in contrast to Palma which was an insufferable 42 degrees the day we were there. Very pleased with the eating arrangements which were very well organised. There was a vast array of different things to try and our kids enjoyed the experience of getting their own food and trying new things. The staff throughout the resort are second to none, totally committed, friendly and efficient. Special mentions to Manolo in the bar, our cleaner Elena and the entertainment staff who worked tirelessly to keep the kids entertained. Tony the manager seems to keep things ticking over with a friendly and relaxed approach. More

Very poor rooms
We went hear over July the rooms were very disappointing they were outdated and the smell of damp was very much in your face cracks in bathroom tiles mould in the shower not good at all.we went and looked at the prem rooms very nice and massive difference in the standard it went from faulty towers to a very good 4 or 5 star room. The complex itself vas very nice lovely area lovely people lovely food in the restaurant and the restaurant area was very clean.beach and pool also very good.as I said the apartment rooms really let the place down and it put a dampener on our holiday that we paid a lot of money for .would not go back here unless it was a prem room.More
Fantastic Apartments and location.
These apartments are in a fantastic quiet location within walking distance of numerous restaurants and bars. The resort is spotless as the staff are constantly and tirelessly cleaning handrails, fence posts, sand from steps, cleaning bins and even painting balcony walls after holiday makers leave...you won't be disappointed. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Esmeralda Park. Room was comfortable and kept very clean. Air conditioning was good. Loads of choice for breakfast and dinner and for mass catering the food was very good. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The cove is stunning and the snorkelling was great. The beach was very crowded. At the beginning of the week the beach and water were spotless, later in the week quite a lot of litter had accumulated. Lots of younger kids seemed to be enjoying the entertainment. We chose to go into town in the evenings so didn't see any shows. We had planned on playing tennis but it was too hot so didn't find out how much court hire was. We liked that there were so many different nationalities on site, seemed to be mostly families with kids of all ages. Cala D'Or itself was bigger than we expected. It seemed to take ages to get into town the first evening but it was only 10mins! Lots of restaurants but many seemed to be doing the same things and we didn't find anything offering local dishes. Lots of live music. Did find a great tapas restaurant, La Bodega, and enjoyed a good meal at La Sivina. Jimmy's Bar was friendly and good value. Cafe Fernando was beautiful but disappointing. Went on a snorkelling tour which was spoilt by litter and jellyfish, there was as much to see at Calas Esmeralda and Ferrera but I did like the boat ride. Went on a boat trip to Cala Mondrago, again the beach was spoilt by litter and it was almost as busy as the hotel which defeated the object of the trip a bit! The swimming from the boat was great and it was interesting to see the coast. Visited the Caves of Drach, got the bus timetable from reception and it was easy to get there and back. The Caves are beautiful but no atmosphere because of the number of people. The music show was nice, we didn't queue for the little boat ride at the end. There are a lot of steps! Taxi to/from the airport was hassle free, return journey booked for us by the hotel, different routes but both trips about 80 euros.More
