This hotel has a beach on its doorstep and easy access to Cala d'Or's restaurants and nightlife.
This place has an exclusive location, overlooking the pretty cove of Cala Gran. It’s fronted by a curve of golden sand, and it is less than a 5-minute walk from Cala d’Or’s cosmopolitan town centre.
The hotel has just been made over, so you’ll walk in to box-fresh interiors. Everything has a minimalist feel. Rooms, for instance, feature stark white walls and furniture, offset by colourful, arty murals. From May 2016, this hotel will become part of the Thomson Sensimar collection.

This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful hotel, although we didn't get the room we had and requested from the year before, we weren't disappointed. Staff are so polite and helpful. I didn't realise or perhaps should have read the small print beforehand about dress at dinner, I only took shorts and didn't realise that for dinner its long trousers, but the staff went out of their way to find me a brand new pair which I was allowed to use all week. Apart from that the holiday was wonderful with brilliant food, a lovely room, lovely and courteous staff, hotel right on the beach and nightlife just across the road, what more could one ask for. It was that great that we've already booked for 2 weeks next yearMore

STUNNING hotel,view,beach and staff
Mum and I visited Mallorca for the first time and what can I say - our trip was just brilliant because of this hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful (in particular the manager Miguel) who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. The room we got had a beautiful view of the ocean and grassed area and a lovely big shower with a modern large shower head- perfect. The buffet food is very good - caters to all and the desserts WOW! The two men who worked in the buffet were super friendly and loved a joke. We also dined one night at the Mediterranean restaurant and the food was beautiful!! Very tasty big portions and presented to a high standard! Will be back for sure to this hotel for sure More
A modern hotel in a fantastic location
We visited the Rocador in mid July for a week. After a 2 hour transfer on which there was no rep (always have had before), we were left to make sure we didn't miss our hotel stop, not knowing if we'd be the first or last drop off. As our flight landed about 1am, it was dark and so nearly impossible to know when we had to get off until we stopped right outside. Of course, this is not the hotel's fault but an element of the holiday overall that could have been improved. Regarding the hotel, we were pleased to find some bread, cheese and cold meat in our room once we checked in plus a lovely bottle of sparkling wine which we drunk the following night. Our room was a garden view in the second block (same as reception) overlooking the beach further out. This room got the sun in the morning and was still lovely and warm in the evening without the sun directly on the balcony which suited us, The room was clean and modern and the bed was huge and very comfortable. The storage space as others have commented was limited but sufficient for us and would not put me off returning. Going for our first breakfast, I found the restaurant to be very hot and also in the evening. I appreciate that being it restaurant serving hot food, I would expect it to be warm but it was uncomfortable at times. The food was very good. I particularly liked the salad section which was always fresh and quite varied. I liked the main courses but a lot of the food was fried/deep fried which after a week, I didn't enjoy as much. One night there was salmon which was lovely. You could also have pasta, chips and an assortment of vegetables. The deserts were nice but most nights, the same but still good enough to have dessert every night! At breakfast, everything was lovely apart from a bowl of watery porridge I had one morning. However, the Belgian waffles, English breakfast, continental section, toasts, cereals and fruit were all very tasty. The hotel drinks were nice including the strawberry daquiri I had one evening and reasonably priced for a hotel and sometimes cheaper than similar cocktails in bars in the resort. The entertainment consisted of pretty much the resident duo, the Millsy Brothers. We liked them but after the 5th night of them, decided to stay out in the resort instead of returning to watch them. There was an ABBA act one night which we did also enjoy. Daytime entertainment was very low key which was fine for us as we just wanted to relax by the pool. The pool is lovely and a good size. The water temperature was 36c so definitely not cold! Regarding the sunbeds, we never were able to get any in the chillout area despite coming for breakfast between 9-930 but always found some by the pool. The staff was brilliant. They were always polite, helpful and professional especially in the A La Carte restaurant. They always said hello to you and work incredibly hard, I decided to leave a tip in the restaurant at the end of our stay. The location is brilliant. We never paid for sunbeds on the beach as we preferred to take our lilo and snorkel straight from the hotel into the sea which was also warm but not 36c! The sea was lovely and I definitely recommend a swim in it! On the other side of the hotel, was numerous bars and restaurants. We usually had a cocktail here after dinner and it was nice to be in a resort which had no high-rise buildings, a relaxing atmosphere and good prices. We ended up hiring a car on our last day as we had a late flight and paid 54e for a new Peugeot with built-in sat nav. We must have driven 60 miles or so and paid about 11e for diesel at the end of the day to refil it. We hired from Autos D'or which is opposite the Spar and was very easy to do as they only required my photocard. The island is very easy to drive on but I have driven in Spain before. We did need the sat nav as some places are a little out the way. Overall, we had a lovely holiday and although the humidity was around 95%, still managed to go for some walks during the day. I would recommend this hotel to couples of any age as there is something for everyone here. We probably won't return but only as we like to hire a car and visit new places.More

We stayed at the Rocador for two weeks this month, we had no delays checking in. We asked for a sea view room and had room 1313 which had a great view, it is also on same level as reception and just one flight downstairs to the restaurant and pool area, so no issues with having to take the lift. We didn't have issues getting beds by the pool however I did notice that the chill out area particularly the double sun beds always had towels on them well before 9am. The guy that does the poolside entertainment made an announcement to say that towels would be removed by the staff if they were out before 9 however I don't think this happened. The pool and pool bar close at 6 which in my opinion is too early. The breakfast buffet was good plenty of choice, I only went to the Eve buffet once, my partner had smart long shorts on and was asked to change, we thought the trousers rule only applied to the a la carte restaurant, I agree with others think it's a bit of a daft rule. The food itself in the eve wasn't anything special but we prefer to eat outside the hotel and you are spoilt for choice you could stay for a month and still probably not visit the same place twice. The hotel itself is bright airy and spotless, the rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaning staff really friendly. Location wise can't be faulted right in the centre, 10 mins walk to the marina and on the beach so no cabs required for the duration. I would recommend the Rocador and would definitely consider returning.More

A great hotel!!
We have just come back from a weeks stay in july. Have to say all the staff are friendly and polite. They all work so hard from cleaning to welcoming guests. The hotel is clean and tidy. The food in the buffet restaurant is lovely breakfast and evening meals. There is an a la carte restaurant which we were invited to but we enjoyed the buffet food so we didn't go there, some guests did tell us what we missed out on. The pool area and chill out area is very nice, by the pool we could always get a sunbed. All in all it is a great hotel and we are looking to return hopefully next year.More
