We stayed in the apartment PLUS for 10 nights, excellent !!!, nice view, equipped kitchen, new bathroom. big terrace. My children loved minidisco and other activities, we enjoyed the typical Spanish and international foods at the restaurant, everything was amazing and we already booked the 2017 holidays.More
We stayed in the apartments for 7 nights arriving on 1st October. We flew from Bristol airport with Thomson's. First stay at apartments but visited the resort many years ago. The transfer from airport to hotel was poor. Non English speaking driver with no rep and we did not know when to get off of coach, but we did arrive eventually. We had room 118 (first floor) and it was really a super spacious clean room with a good size balcony. The view was ok. It was a 1 bedroom self catering room. Very, very quiet hotel really, no noise really except 1 night from youths in room above. Plenty of equipment including washing up liquid and cloths, shower gel etc. The room was extremely clean with maid service nearly every day. Free TV and air con. Lovely friendly staff. We were sited in a block to left of reception (as you come out). Entry after and before night hours was by a entry code. The pool area was super clean with children's play area. All areas were well maintained and spotless. Behind reception was a secure room containing safe deposit box's at a fee. I cannot comment on the food or entertainment as we did not use these facilities. I cannot fault any aspect of the hotel as it was really super. The apartments were only a short stroll to eating and drinking places. If you come out of hotel, walk down road and turn left you will see Hollywood's who serve lovely breakfasts. The road to the left you will see pub Supertramps,The Toby jug and cafeteria Las Palmas. We ate in The Toby jug and Supertramps most days with 1 visit to Las Palmas. Super, well priced food and lovely friendly staff. Just past these restaurants is the beach. A super clean beach, quite small really (cove) but lovely very busy beach. By the side of Hollywood is a footpath which leads to a centre with many eating places, quite modern area. Pop into the Whistle Stop, a lovely lady owner, so funny ! We visited but never ate in that area. You can also get there by crossing the bridge by the beach. The beach is a 10 minute walk from apartments. The road train at 4euros for a round trip of just over an hour is worth it. You can pick it up at various locations but come out of hotel walk along the road and turn right and you will come to the train stop and more bars etc. The weather was super with just a few hours of rain late in the week. A Super Hotel and a super resort. Yes, we will return to Hotel.More
Brilliant 1st Family Holiday!!!
We arrived on the 1st October for a 7 night half board stay on our 1st family holiday since having our little girl almost 2 years ago. I didn't know what to expect but I was so pleased on arrival. Check in was so quick and our apartment was so much better than expected in a great location (Rm 315) The restaurant had everything you could want however there are so many local places to eat I would only go B&B if returned. The animation team worked so hard and were simply amazing! Our little girl was so entertained every night with the mini disco and still talks of it now nearly a month later. I cannot fault this hotel and we are already looking to return next year. I would say it suits families rather than couples but feel they cater for all needs.More
Pleasant short break
Picked this as part of a BA Holiday package and chose the apartment based on trip advisor reviews. Would agree with other reviewers. The apartments were spacious, clean and well equipped. The cleaning ladies were very helpful and assiduous in offering extra towels. Have previously stayed in villas rather than apartments but felt this was of a comparable standard and good vfm. We were staying off-season so plenty of space around the pool - in fact our only issue was that the hotel was packing up for the season around us which was surprising in half term weather with the sun shining. Cala D'Or is purely a family holiday resort, but a very pleasant one. Ideal for a week's break in the sun. Would recommend hiring a car for a longer stay so that you can get out and about to vary the holiday experience.More
