Great

Great spacious apartment. Friendly staff. Very good position off the main road but very close to centres and beaches. Pool area very good. Went low season (November) so fairly quiet and plenty of room in the pool, but weather still good. Would be very good for kids. Good supermarkets close at hand and reasonably priced restaurants and bars. Would definitely go again.More

Lovely family friendly apartments

Me and my husband went for the first week of October . The apartment was spacious and clean , with everything we needed to enjoy our holiday. The complex is very nice and very well positioned between two beaches. The pool area is nice and large with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool is large if a little chilly at that time of year. There are lovely play areas for children and the pool bar serves good food. I would definitely return and recommend it to othersMore

Watte00,

Great for families

Just spent four days at this hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. We didn't take our seven year old with us, but the layout of the pool area and facilities are ideal for families. The pool is large but shallow, and the kids pool, splash park, and little adventure playground are all in view from the sun beds or pool bar, the pool area also has secure access from the adjacent public park, all beaches are in walking distance. Our favourite beach was Cala Gran, crystal clear water, all beaches are sheltered with no currents. The standard of the fixtures and fittings in the apartment was adequate, the balcony huge. Some things in there your just never gonna gonna need, coffee percolator, salad spinner, stock pot, so well equipped. If we were to be picky I would steer clear of the food at the pool bar which was probably the worst meal I've ever had in Spain (and we've been to Madrid) their was no extraction in the bathroom so late in the season when your having hot showers the whole apartment got steamy and smelled when you come in from a day out, but just through open the balcony doors and it's fine. Don't bother to pay for the Wi-Fi. Three days was €6, the connection was painfully slow even if there was a signal, no chance of streaming anything, one device at a time is allowed on the network which was also annoying. Nearly every restaurant in Cala d'ore has Wi-Fi anyway. Their is a bigger super market on the edge of Cala d'or to stock up because the shops near the apartments were very badly stocked. Cala d'ore is very purpose built and not in keeping architecturally with Mallorca & not generally our scene but we did have a couple of nice meals at the marina. If we didn't hire a car it would be difficult to see the rest of the island, Palma, Sollér and the Mountains are not to be missed, the two hour bus ride is a bit much. But for the price we paid we can't complain. Mallorca is paradise, beautiful with perfect weather, safe, clean and accommodating. Not been since I was a kid but like the ad goes you can forget how good it tastes. More

Frank Z,

Great Holiday

This was our first time to the hotel and we traveled as a large group of friends and family. Everyone was very impressed with the whole experience in and around the complex. The apartments were spotless and well equipped. We have all booked to return next year.More

Great Visit

Recently visited the apartments with 2 other families and we all thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Rooms were the renovated superior apartments overlooking the pool - nice to arrive late on a Saturday and get take away pizza from a local restaurant and a couple of beers from a nearby supermarket and settle down with the kids to watch X Factor - very comforting after a long days travel. We found the hotel, pool and rooms to be very clean and staff in general excellent. Rudy at the bar was always very helpful and a laugh and the reception staff very helpful (all with excellent English which was a help). Resort itself was really nice and close by, beautiful beaches and Marina. We felt in general the restaurants were pricey for the kids and their meals with drinks were often as expensive as ours. One restaurant in the Marina was a fixed 3 course adult menu, 14.90 Euros, but then went on to charge 11 euros for 2 side orders of chips. Kids juices 2 Euros + everywhere you go. Overall would definitely recommend apartments. Perhaps invest in some nice glasses for the bar area, prices weren't cheap so when you're paying that little bit extra its a disappointment to get an old pint / half pint glass.More
