A beachside spot, a sleek pool scene, and a restaurant with lots of options make the Astoria Playa a great choice for couples.
Astoria Playa is just across the road from an eight-kilometre stretch of white sand. Then, there’s the good selection of restaurants within a five-minute walk. The waterside bars at Alcudia Marina, meanwhile, are a 10-minute taxi ride away.
The hotel’s inside spaces have a contemporary look, with chunky red furniture to offset the whitewashed walls. Monochrome colours, flat-screen TVs and spotlights carry on the designer feel in the bedrooms.
These junior suites come with views of the pool from your balcony. You’ll have a king-size bed - plus there’s centrally controlled air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi. And for that touch of luxury - you’ll have bathrobes and slippers you can use with your very own Jacuzzi®. You'll also have a hydromassage shower and a Nespresso coffee machine too.
Excellent hotel with superb Junior Suite. You can have a great hotel in a terrific location with modern decor, you can have excellent indoor amenities and facilities, you can have high standards of cleanliness and ever changing selection and quality of dining room menus and when you add in what the ASTORIA has in abundance which is the Superb management presence and attentive staff throughout the hotel.Right from reception to dining and bar staff to kitchen and behind the scenes all combine to form a great TEAM.Well done and a big thanks to Senna,Mareen,Patrick.and the three busy busy bees Francesca,Sara and Yulie,

Good experience overall
Our room was on the fourth floor with a view over the town looking towards the mountains. The room was spotlessly clean.
The restaurant was a cut above the standard buffet with plenty of choice and some cook to order. I would say the starters were well above average on the salad bar so plenty of choice for everyone. Breakfast was good also and the service was up to standard.
The bar was clean and tidy if a little expensive but what hotel bar isn't. Choice of drinks available was extensive and service was excellent. I have to single out Chelsea and Miguel as particularly good but no complaints about any of the staff. Reception staff were also very helpful. Cabaret was again cut above the average and we actually bought a couple of CD's from the classical guitarist.
We never actually swam outside but we did use the sunbeds which were plentiful.
All in all an enjoyable experience and I would use this hotel again especially as it is adults only.
The only fault I can pick is the lifts are quite small but no real hardship but I did think a four star hotel should have tea making facilities in the room which is quite standard.
A final comment I would make is we went towards the middle /end of April which is pre-season and local bars/cafes were only just opening up as we left.More

Public areas are great but rooms need more thought
Firstly the good points. The pool areas and bars are great. We are staying on a half board deal, and both the breakfast and evening meals are good, especially the desserts. The staff are also very friendly, and the evening entertainment is great.
Now the not so good points. We are staying in a superior room on the 6th floor. Unfortunately I am unable to tell why it's superior, other than the free bottle of red wine in the room on arrival. The room is quite small and badly thought out. Whilst decorated well and very clean it's not easy to live in. There is no dressing table with mirror and chair, and the hairdryer is attached to the wall in the bathroom. There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, so using the steamy mirror is also not an option to get ready. The bathroom decoration has not been refurbished to the same level as the bedroom, and our floor is uneven and feels like it could fall through at any time. The bath towels are only suitable for children also. There is a sofa in the room but it is under the tv, so can only really be used for reading or storing your suitcase. We have an espresso machine but only 1 caffeinated pod for 2 people. This was also not replaced on day 2. We had to revisit reception to get the safe key and pool towels as they were not mentioned on check-in.
1 massive issue is the bad nights sleep we are having because they refuse to turn on the air conditioning before 1st May, so the rooms become unbearably hot. When we asked at reception we were told others had also asked, but still nothing has been done. Not good!More
Excellent hotel, really deserves it's no.1 status
It's just about impossible to fault the hotel during a very pleasant one week stay.
The rooms are spotless, the staff incredibly friendly and polite, the food is superb with a vast choice at both breakfast and dinner. There are plenty of sunbeds around the 2 pool areas and a varied entertainment programme each night, featuring some very talented entertainers.
The only possible downside is the surrounding area with not much in the way of alternative activities (bars with entertainment etc), although there's probably more on offer in peak season.
Happy to recommend the Astoria Playa!More
The best hotel for couple
Words are not enough to express how thankful and happy we are that we chose Hotel Astoria. Service, food, accommodation and location at its finest. The hotel staffs were very friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Monica, who make sure that we can get a spot in the parking area and even gave us tips for our next trip. The food was all delicious with various choices every day. The hotel in general, looks so clean, with two big pools. The location is not that far from the beautiful Alcudia beach and there are many shops and restaurants around. Our room was cleaned every day and the shower is just perfect. Wifi works great! We definitely recommend this hotel and we'll surely be back.More
