Hotel Astoria Playa

A beachside spot, a sleek pool scene, and a restaurant with lots of options make the Astoria Playa a great choice for couples.

Astoria Playa is just across the road from an eight-kilometre stretch of white sand. Then, there’s the good selection of restaurants within a five-minute walk. The waterside bars at Alcudia Marina, meanwhile, are a 10-minute taxi ride away.

The hotel’s inside spaces have a contemporary look, with chunky red furniture to offset the whitewashed walls. Monochrome colours, flat-screen TVs and spotlights carry on the designer feel in the bedrooms.

Excellent 10 day break.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights in July. Rooms very good with tea and coffee supplied. Free wifi throughout hotel. Safe in room. What makes this hotel special is the staff. They are all so friendly and very helpful. You are not allowed to reserve sunbeds. We got down at about 9.30 and always got 2 sunbeds. Would definitely return. Thanks to all the staff. More

Truly outstanding hotel

This hotel is a must for anybody going to Alcudia. Every inch is spotless thanks to a brilliant team of cleaners who can't do enough for you and the hotel and seem to take a pride in their work. I wish I could give it ten stars it was that good. We went for a 7 night break and booked a superior pool view room and the extras you get are worth every penny, in my opinion. The vast amount of choice in the restaurant both at breakfast and dinner will please even the fussiest of eaters and a lot of it is freshly cooked for you by a team of 1st class chefs. The staff in the restaurant are superb and are only too willing to assist you. The entertainment was probably the best I have ever seen and a special mention should go to the El Divo tribute who were simply breathtakingly brilliant singers and if you get a chance to see them during your stay then you will not be disappointed. All the staff, from top to bottom, deserve huge praise and are a credit to the hotel. The small touches the hotel do should not go unmentioned and help to make it an unforgettable expirence. The 2 pools are superb and very relaxing to be around. I have read previous reviews about this hotel and thought there must be one thing bad about it, but simply put, there is not. It is without doubt the very best and we can't wait to go back next year.More

Truly amazing!!!

Well, what can I say. Working in the travel industry I get to visit lots of countries and different hotels. Astoria Playa hotel definitely has to be my favourite and I do believe it will take a lot of beating. We arrived early hours so we didn’t get to see too much until the morning. We booked to stay in a superior room and it was lovely, modern, clean and also had a free mini bar with soft drinks, beers and a welcoming bottle of wine. This was just one of the many little touches that made this hotel stand out from many others. Staff, well they are what make this hotel and the manager should be very proud. I have always said you can have the most beautiful hotel but if your staff are not friendly/rude, then your hotel will be remembered by this. The staff were so welcoming, they literally couldn’t do enough for you. They all work so hard but nothing is too much trouble. They were all welcoming and extremely friendly, a true credit to the hotel. As for the hotel itself, it is just simply beautiful. The decor throughout is so modern, the bar areas are perfect for relaxing with a nice cocktail. The pool area was immaculate, in fact the whole part of the hotel is immaculate, so clean. One of the pool areas you can pay extra for a luxury bed which you can then use all day, this included a bottle of cava or cocktails with a fresh fruit platter, this was a lovely romantic touch for the last few days of our holiday. The restaurant was fantastic, the choices of food varied each day and the presentation and quality was again amazing. We booked half board and it was by far the best food I have had. Again the chef and waiting staff were amazing and again couldn’t do enough for you. In the day we would each in the outside restaurant and the food again was beautiful. We ate out in the old town but felt that nothing would compare to the food from our hotel so continued to each there for the rest of the holiday. The evening entertainment was brilliant, the Motown and Beatles were definitely worth watching. Even people walking by would stop and listen. So in a nutshell, if you want a relaxing or romantic break with wonderful food, amazing staff, modern, clean and luxury feel, I would definitely recommend a visit to Astoria Hotel. With the lovely little touches, welcoming drinks, check- out cocktails, complimentary water for your journey home, the manager here has got everything so right. A credit to him and his wonderful team made our first of many visits here a truly amazing stay! 5 stars in my eyes!More

Just finished 10 day holiday at Astoria Playa fantastic hotel. From the minute you walk through the front door you are treated like royalty. Lucia on the front desk and her team nothing was ever any trouble, Juan at the pool bar excelled an expert on the Gin trolley. The food is unbelievable the choice and the standard is 5 star. The hotel is spotless and is kept to an amazing standard. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for the making of a fantastic holiday David SmallMore

David S,

Just back from a 11 night stay and the reviews are spot on - fantastic food, friendly and very helpful staff, very clean and a feel good factor all round. Good position for the beach and the policy of not reserving sun beds is great and works very well. Our room overlooked the smaller pool, had very comfy beds and was very clean throughout our stay. Entertainment in the evening has something for everybody, the Beatles duo are particular good. A nice relaxing holiday, will definitely go back and have already recommended this hotel to a couple of friends. Well done to you all and thank you for making our stay a good one. More
