Hotel Astoria Playa

A beachside spot, a sleek pool scene, and a restaurant with lots of options make the Astoria Playa a great choice for couples.

Astoria Playa is just across the road from an eight-kilometre stretch of white sand. Then, there’s the good selection of restaurants within a five-minute walk. The waterside bars at Alcudia Marina, meanwhile, are a 10-minute taxi ride away.

The hotel’s inside spaces have a contemporary look, with chunky red furniture to offset the whitewashed walls. Monochrome colours, flat-screen TVs and spotlights carry on the designer feel in the bedrooms.

Great hotel

Just on the last day of my two week stay at the hotelAstoria Playa, I could waffle on in this review about how great this hotel is but if you have read all the other reviews you would know that by now!! To sum it all up I would say: great staff, great managers, great food, great pool ( and no reserving sun beds, so you don't have to get up at six to get your towel down!!!) A special mention to our waitress fransica, she served us most mornings and evenings always happy and smiling and recommended very good wines too us, she is a credit to the hotel. Why only 4 out of 5, we stayed in room 604 on the top floor overlooking the pool ( paid for the superior room) but the bathroom was very plain an no wow factor, just sink, toilet, bath, and shower over the bath..... All looked a bit old and dated compared to the rest of the room and I would have expected more for the price of the room! To sum up, if you want a great adults only hotel in Mallorca then you won't be disappointed in the hotel Astoria, we had a fantastic time , so thanks to you all.More

Lovely hotel

We stayed here for a week. We were greeted with wine on arrival and helped with our suitcases. The reception staff were friendly, great and available all the time. The maids kept the place beautifully clean and it is very modern. The pool was clean, I particularly liked the double sun lounges. Especially with the no children policy, it made the pool area quiet and friendly. We were half board. The breakfast was OK and nothing special. The evening meal we only stayed in for for two nights. Very tasteless, boring food and my partner found raw chicken in a kebab on the first night. I would recommend the hotel, as it was luxury but only for bed and breakfast. Chefs need to be improved! Perhaps serving instead of buffet. More

Great holiday, amazing staff!

Great hotel, amazing staff (shoutout to Lorenzo, the best eg-maker in the world, senior Garcia & Salazar and of course Radka!). I went here for 2 weeks with my girlfriend and would absolutely recommend this hotel. Nice clean room, friendly people& INCREDIBLE food! You feel like eating in a top restaurant everyday. A lot of effort is clearly put into all the plates!More

Michael H,

Relaxing holiday

We booked this hotel after reading all the fabulous reviews on tripadvisor,as we were looking for somewhere special as it was our 25th wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. From arriving to leaving the staff were all friendly, polite and helpful, when we got to our room we were surprised with a bottle of cava to help us celebrate our anniversary, which we drank in the jacuzzi in our room, this was a lovely touch and very thoughtful. Our room was wonderful,we booked the junior suite and had the biggest and most comfortable bed we have ever slept in,it was very clean and cleaned daily. We enjoyed lovely days by the pool, where we were served our Tom Cruise smoothies by the lovely Santina. We were greeted at mealtimes by the lovely Radka who always asked if we were enjoying our stay and if everthing was ok,the food was out of this world,so much choice,my husband couldn"t decide so had it all.The night time enertainment was mostly good,we enjoyed the Take That tribute,The Beatles tribute and Treblemakers but not so much Abba would give them a miss.Would we come here again, yes in a heartbeat, highly recommend it.More
