A beachside spot, a sleek pool scene, and a restaurant with lots of options make the Astoria Playa a great choice for couples.
Astoria Playa is just across the road from an eight-kilometre stretch of white sand. Then, there’s the good selection of restaurants within a five-minute walk. The waterside bars at Alcudia Marina, meanwhile, are a 10-minute taxi ride away.
The hotel’s inside spaces have a contemporary look, with chunky red furniture to offset the whitewashed walls. Monochrome colours, flat-screen TVs and spotlights carry on the designer feel in the bedrooms.

One of best hotels in Mallorca
Excellent staff .. excellent reception staff, PR Sanaa, in restaurant Garcia, chefs Antonio and Nestor, house keeping, and all the others, .. 5 star to all of them .. Hotel run like clockwork .. any problems or needs attended to very quickly .. they all make you feel special and like a friend .. Hotel is squeaky clean .. elegant boutique style, white with grey, some reds, glass and stainless steel theme throughout .. Rooms are excellent, beds very comfy, bathrooms modern, toiletries are enough .. Food is excellent quality, open buffet for both breakfast and dinner .. full of choice and value .. nouvelle cuisine presentation of salads and desserts. Desserts were some of the best we ever had in Spain. Two swimming pools, with wide soft leather sun loungers .. plenty of them .. No 7am crash to towel-reserve .. can always find a lounger .. Good location. About 5 minutes walk to lovely white sandy beach with plenty of loungers, and showers .. and 15 to 20min walk to Port Alcudia. 10min walk to Lidl. A lot of shops and restaurants all around the hotel. Bus outside Hotel to Alcudia town and Palma. Courtesy room was provided as late checkout was not available on our last day. Room was large, clean, two showers, two sinks, and a toilet, plus all toiletries, and towels. Excellent option for those leaving late in the day, just be aware you need to pre-book at least a day before. I would say for an adults only hotel, more is needed in the area of IT, entertainment and activity. Pool-side activity Zumba and aqua aerobics need improvement .. they were too loud and overtook the whole pool for about an hour at a time .. twice a day Quite surprised that the evening entertainment was so tacky. DJ nights, a Flamenco night, and a Latino night would have added a lot of buzz, instead of the very poor tribute acts every night. I'd score it at 2/10 as it stands. Extremely poor unreliable Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. One very poor neglected extremely slow laptop in a dark corner is all you get for PC/internet, and is therefore not secure for serious use, and no printer. Very poor experience for this day and age, especially compared to similar hotels around Alcudia. Lack of gym .. A small gym is certainly a requirement for people staying a week or longer !! Weights, bike and a treadmill almost mandatory for this type of hotel !! There is a TV room?! Some activities in this room like cards, chess and the like would be a welcome addition. Food theme nights may break the repetitiveness of dinner main course .. Please reduce the waiting for the main grilled course by preparing some earlier as they say !! An extension of dinner to 10pm would be welcome !! A hair and beauty salon, even for an hour once or twice a day, or by booking, would be excellent. A kettle and tea-making facility is not provided in the basic rooms .. what a shame for the price of a kettle and a couple of mugs!! These additions would make it really the best .. and make us return year after year without thinking of going elsewhere ..More
WE LOVED IT!
We just got back from the most amazing holiday in Alucida! When we arrived we were greeted with a glass of champagne and lots of smiling faces. The room was superb, we had upgraded to a superior room which meant we had robes, flip flops and a coffee machine! The rooms were so clean and remained clean throughout our stay. The Food was exceptional, always a variety of things to try and the presentation was beautiful which kept things exciting. We didn't eat out at all as there was no need to. Lovely chefs behind the counter's to help serve the food and occasionally have a chat. The bar and waiter service was amazing too and big shout out to ANGIE who we got to know over the week. She was lovely, as where all the waiters. They were always around if you needed them but they were never intrusive and always had smiles on their faces. The Pool areas are lovely. There are two pools one out the front and one round the back. Both equally as nice. The sun loungers were very comfy and I was surprised there was no wait for them in the morning. There was always enough for everyone. The Entertainment... where do I begin! It was blooming marvellous, As a performing arts teacher I usually have high expectations when it comes to the entertainment but it blew me away. I loved every single night. There was such variety to suit everyone's tastes and always performed to a very high standard indeed. Not any old rubbish. I enjoyed the lighting too, you could tell they had spent quite a bit on all the equipment. Overall this hotel was a delight to stay in and we thank all the Astoria staff who made us feel so welcome in our first time to Alcudia and we will certainly be returning very soon! Thank you, Sophie TorrentMore
Another 10 days in paradise at the astoria playa
We visited this hotel for our 3rd visit so we knew what to expect. There has been a few minor changes since our last visit but they are for the better colourful balconies wow . Rooms were as good as ever plenty of room and storage space comfy beds and a great shower. Staff were amazing as you step through the doors you were made to feel special . The food for breakfast and evening meal was top class so many choices meat / fish / salad and plenty of vegetables and proper English bacon so you could have full English breakfast and omelettes made to order . All the staff are exceptionally good at their jobs and always friendly and smiling but mostly we were looked after by Garcia and Angie and the lovely Sanaa. All the reception staff were friendly and always greeted us Monica,Lucia,Joanna,Georgina and Elsa and Walter. We were greeted by the hotel owner pep who made us feel very welcome and feel part of the family not just guests at the hotel . There is also the very friendly and professional chef Antonio who made us smile everyday with his sense of humour. The entertainment is top class every night but the temptations and shut up and dance were excellent. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends. We will definitely be back for our 4th visit Diane and Mark(darren)room 309😍😍😍More
Relaxed week in the sun
Excellent hotel, would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. A choice of two pools, the larger one at front has a bar and small restaurant, the one to the rear of the hotel was a little smaller and quieter, both are excellent. There was no rush for the sun loungers and none of the usual towels being left out at 6am nonsense. Mostly used the quieter one, the pool was never over used and the sun beds were really comfortable and each one had a parasol so you could adjust the shade as needed. Food and drink were great, we went full board and enjoyed the large range of choice. Although I am not vegan I was impressed that they had thought of people who were and created interesting options for them. There is gated access to the main street and it feels very secluded even though there is some noise from the main road but not enough to interfere with the relaxation. We watched the show most nights and in comparison with most hotels it was actually worth watching, some very good quality acts. A special mention to the UK vs US rock show which had us singing along and smiling the whole way through! Last but definitely not least are the staff, each and everyone of them were excellent and very friendly. It felt like that were happy to help and nothing was too much trouble. I travel alot for work and have stayed in so many hotels and often it feels like service is an after thought but this hotel genuinely has the best staff!More

We have just spent an amazing week at this beautiful hotel, and cannot praise it enough! The staff were exceptional! Could not do enough for you, always smiling and friendly and made you feel so very special! We loved them all! The highlight of our stay had to be the restaurant experience! The food was first class, different dishes every night, superb choice for every taste! Missing it so much!More
