A beachside spot, a restaurant starring Majorcan recipes, and regular evening entertainment make the Astoria Playa a great choice for couples. Inside, the modern rooms go for a streamlined theme. And in 2013, a sleek new pool joined the hotel's line-up.
The Astoria Playa is a real all-rounder. To begin with, it’s in a great location. It’s just across the road from an 8-kilometre stretch of soft white sand, 5 minutes from a good selection of restaurants, and less than 20 minutes from Alcudia Marina and its water-side bars.
The facilities at the hotel are impressive, too. For 2013 there’s a brand new pool with hydro-massage areas, plus a separate chill-out pool bordered by stylish Balinese beds. There’s a bar right next to the water, so you don’t need to go far for refreshments. When you’re not swimming, you can have a game of tennis or crazy golf.
In the evenings, you can tuck in to Majorcan and international dishes in the restaurant, or on the terrace overlooking the chill-out pool.
Bedrooms here have recently had a makeover, so you can expect minimalist décor, sleek flatscreen TVs and stylish parquet floors.

Superb hotel. Excellent service.
I visited the astoria playa with my sister mum and aunt on 2nd May. We stayed for 4 nights on a half board basis. On arrival we were told that there was a leak in our rooms and that they would have to send us to another hotel for the first night. We were taken by taxi to a beautiful harbour front hotel with good food and an excellent location. On returning the following day both rooms were upgraded to a suite for the inconvenience! !! We were also treated to a complimentary bottle of wine. Nothing was too much trouble for this hotel and the staff were so lovely and very helpful. We would like to thank the staff at this hotel especially Chelsea. Francis and Enrique who kept us entertained in the bar!!! I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a quite, friendly and relaxing holiday with staff who make you feel very special.More
A Big Favourite
Stayed 4th to 11th of May 2015,our 2nd visit following a long weekend last Oct, wanting to spend a longer stay. We were so glad we did fantastic time.I had previously emailed for a specific room but unfortunately received no reply, explained as that it may have gone in spam, we now have a contact name for next time. The room we wanted was occupied on arrival but we were allocated another room on our preferred 3rd floor, no problem and room even better as slightly bigger than the one we had in Oct. We did have one issue with this room as it started raining in the bathroom, an engineer arrived within minutes and sorted the leak from the forth floor room and a cleaner arrived bucket in hand for the remaining drips and thoroughly cleaned up next morning. Extremely efficient service. Fantastic staff in all areas, Sanaa, greeting us so well for dinner, our usual waiter Manolo recommending the best wine we have had(we are investigating ordering some on line). Chelsea the most welcoming of bar staff I have found in a hotel. That's not to dismiss any of the other very friendly bar staff. Excellent pool areas plenty of loungers, drinks served at the loungers by two wonderful ladies,Rowan and Veronica, who both remembered our usual morning order, a beer and fanta lemon. A great addition to the staff is Anna Jessica the fitness queen, I joined in every session during our stay, Pilates, Yoga, Toning and of course the aqua aerobics. Each session around 25 to 30 minutes each, just perfect for a decent workout but not too long from the sun loungers in such good weather. Evening entertainment very good, in particular BeeGees tribute ,Abba tribute and Lady GaGa. Not quite as impressed with the two pianists on two nights running, but that is a personal preference and I understand may have been chosen for more low key evening, due to the Ironman contestants needing to rest before their race. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel but hope that the excellent reviews will not make it too difficult to get in when we next return as already planning to come back Oct and May Thanks again All staff for making our stay so good.More

A wonderful week
You can look online and find hotels that look great and this one is no exception. Its immaculate, the rooms are gorgeous and the ambiance is terrific. I would not hesitate for a moment in recommending it to a couple who wants some quality downtime. The food at the buffets was always well presented and replaced accordingly. The wait staff was always pleasant and courteous and efficient. But good things either become great or fizzle once a problem arises. This is where Playa Astoria soars. Shuttle issues - no problem, we'll call and take care of it. Late departure - no problem please enjoy a cocktail (on us) and the showers and change rooms at your disposal. I heard someone complain there was no maple syrup for the morning pancakes - next day - voila there was. Its the little things in life that make good things great, the attention to detail and to the customer. This is quite in evidence here. Keep up the good work.More
Most Amazing Hotel
Me and my best mate had a 3 night stay here and wow what an amazing hotel and staff. The hotel and rooms are spotless and gleaming. They are also large and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond with being helpful and polite, the restaurant Manager in particular who always gave us a fantastic friendly greeting when going into the restaurant. The food is lovely and a fantastic choice, even for me being a Pescetarian. We could not fault this hotel one bit and will definately go back and for longer. I loved it. It was perfect.More

what an amazing stay
We stayed here a couple of years ago while the renovation had started and on our return we were so impressed with how much the hotel has improved. The staff are the most helpful and friendly i have come across yet and we have stayed in quite a few hotels, special mention to Sanaa who greeted us when entering the dining room she was so welcoming and friendly and on our departure she left us some drinks which was really lovely. The rooms are modern, very clean and the beds are very comfortable so you wont want to leave them. There are 2 pools we tended to use the one at the front of the hotel and they do aqua aerobics and have really relaxing music to listen to, we have never felt so relaxed. The food is really good with plenty of choice, the drinks are some of the best Ive had especially the milkshakes and the frozen margaritas you couldn't ask for more. Thank you hotel Astoria playa for making our stay a very relaxing welcoming one and we will be back in the near futureMore
