Lovely hotel, stayed in superior room on other side of road, room was fabulous, modern, well equipped as comfortable, 2 tv's and working air con. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice. The pool. Never seen anything like it in my life, not sure if this has been mentioned in other reviews but the sun beds are stacked and chained up at night. So..... by 7am people are down dumping towels ON THE FLOOR to reserve their spot. The husbands then stand guard like soldiers whilst surrounded by piles of towels on the floor dotted all around the pool edge. At 9am the sunbeds are unlocked and ta-da!! Here goes the scrum on people running to grab their beds and put them in place of the towels on the floor, to then put the towels on the beds and then walk away. I kid you not, it's most fun to watch, I thought humans were civilised until I watched this 2 mornings in a row hahaha Pool area was not for us, holidays are for relaxing not going to that palaver just to sit round a jam packed noisy pool all day so we went to the beach instead lol Other the the joker pool area it's a lovely place to stay :-) xMore
Neither up nor down
Stayed at THB Flora for 2 weeks Self Catering so can't comment on the food. The room we were in was in Flora1 and the rooms were very basic, kettle, toaster, microwave and a 2 hob cooker with no oven, didn't bother us but might bother others. I don't agree with some other reviews saying beds and towels changed every day because after 3 days of ours not being changed I had to go to the reception and ask why we hadn't had fresh towels or bedding for 3 days?? This was sorted straight away and a maid came and done this but not before lifting and slamming the beds about, clearly annoyed that I had gone to reception about this but with no air con in the room we needed towels and bedding every other day because the room got very warm and we got quite sweaty at night. The bar was quite expensive €3.20 for a small plastic cup of beer so we didn't buy many. Getting a spot at the pool wasn't too pleasant either, if you're not up sharp to put your towels on a spot then you've had it, they chain up the beds and unlock them at 9am, that's when the frenzy begins, quite embarrassing actually, I've never had to put my towels down to reserve a spot but it was a case of, if you can't beat them, join them!! We took our 1 year old to the apartment during the hottest time of the day and came back to our towels lifted, went to reception and asked why they were gone and I was told to speak to the lifeguard so I did and it turned out he decided to lift them because we were gone for 45 minutes but while he was laying down the rules to me there were plenty empty beds with towels on them so I timed how long they were empty, 2 hours was the longest I watched them for and he didn't lift them. The entertainment team were friendly and done their best to involve everyone. To sum up, the pool was clean but not enough space for everyone, the rooms were cleaned but not every day and the towels and beds are not changed daily, if self catering then the bar isn't cheap. Would I go back? Not sure Would I recommend? Yes but only if you're happy to join the madness for a space at the pool and are happy to be robbed for a small beerMore
Staff great but very little for children to do.
Just got back from a week stay at the Flora in Lanzarote. Was impressed with the courtesy and manners of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Spoke excellent English and were available around the clock. The hotel was clean at all times. No bugs around, regular cleaners to the hotel. The entertainment however, was much less than I was expecting from an all inclusive holiday. I travelled with my 2 year old daughter and my 16 year old son and nephew. There was nothing for any of these children to do apart from swim in the pool (which was extremely crowded). The animacion team spent very little time with any of the younger children and there was nothing aimed towards teens. As a result of this, we spent very little time at the resort and I do not feel this was good value for money at all as we did not make the most of the all inclusive element. The rooms were extremely warm and no air con at all so they boys had to sleep outside. Mugs were not washed when the cleaners came around and no washing up liquid was provided. The rooms were also very loud - children running up and down and shouting at gone 11pm meant my 2 year old was kept awake. I loved the island but would not stay at this hotel again.More

Fran jones J,
Myself partner and 2 kids aged 16 and 13 stayed st the flora from the 20th July till the 3 rd august. I have just arrived home and overall had a not too bad holiday first of all the apartments at the flora are low rise which is very good for young kids clean enough, towels and sheets changed every 2 days. Was quite upset as we had no air conditioning st all in flora 1 and the heat at night was very warm. Their are very limited having no kettle or freezer which was annoying. If looking for air conditioning you have to try get into flora 2 which is across the road. The subbed situation is bad people take 3/4 beds and leaving them all day Togo to the beach. Their is absolutely nothing here for teenagers great for kids up to maybe 6/7 they have a kids club that's all my boys were very board. Meaning we spend most of our time on the main strip be aware this hotel is very far up the hill so not advisable unless you are prepared to walk it everyday, We taxied it sometimes very reasonabley priced but can add up if your doing it over 24 nights. Their is a free bus to the beach but only come 10 am 12:30 then 3.30 and returns which is ok, Very basic accommodation overall suppose you only get what you pay for. Overall okMore
