Set in quiet gardens just minutes from the beach, these spacious whitewashed bungalows are perfect for an away-from-it-all escape.
The bungalows are in a sleepy part of Playa de los Pocillos, five minutes’ walk from a sandy beach. There’s a string of restaurants and bars nearby, and further down the promenade, you’ll find the buzzing nightlife of Puerto del Carmen.
Rooms are spacious and fresh, with crisp white walls and all the essentials for a family base, like microwaves, coffee-makers and toasters. They all come with little outdoor patios and a barbecue, so you’re all set for dinner outdoors.

Good location, basic but clean appartments
You get what you pay for with these apartments. We stayed here for 7 nights and chose to be self catering because we wanted to explore the resort. The rooms are clean but could do with some tlc, looking tired in places, especially around the pool areas. But this didn't bother us because we didn't want to spend much time there. The rooms do not include air conditioning and for the first couple of nights we had trouble sleeping in the humidity of our room. When we told reception we were offered a fan to hire for 3 euros per day, plus a 5 euro deposit. This solved our problem but we were surprised that these were not supplied free of charge, considering the sleepless conditions. There is a small supermarket on site which was very useful and had most necessities. Most members of staff seemed friendly enough, but some didn't. We were lucky as our room was close to the pool, reception, shop, restaurant and bar but the complex was big and you may not be so lucky. The location is good, 5-10 minute walk to the beach and a few restaurants and shops. A little further down, 15-20 walk following the road straight on you will find the busiest part of the strip with something for everyone. We enjoyed walking but taxi's are cheap at around 3 euro if you prefer. Although we went as a couple i would say this is best suited to families. The pool areas where busy with children, we preferred the relaxing environment of Playe Grande beach a short taxi ride away. Rancho Texas park/zoo is very close to these apartments and is a great day out! The 22 euro adult tickets include access the sea lion show and bird shows. We had an amazing holiday, Puerto del Carmen is a great resort with beautiful beaches and lots of bars and restaurants. We will definitely be returning to this resort. But would consider paying a little more for more pleasant accommodation.More

Just got back from Hyde Park
We booked through Thomas Cook flexible trips and flew with Monarch. There is no rep there for Thomas Cook. We didn't use the transfers and got a taxi straight outside the airport, which is good no waiting and straight there, and only 12â¬. The bungalows are really clean, flat screen TV and well equipped. The decor is out dated and all the beds are twins, not sure why they can't change them to doubles. The bedroom has a ceiling fan, but we found that we needed to hire a fan as well as the rooms don't seem to cool down. The fan cost us â¬15 and â¬6 deposit for 10 days. We also hired the safe. We didn't bother with the remote for the TV, easier enough to do without. The rooms are cleaned 5 days a week, and beds changed every other. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the resort. We stayed the non reception side, but found the pool reception side was better for children as there is a small slide which our daughter loved and more lively. plenty of sun beds and umbrellas are all concreted in so they can't be moved. The walk to the town is about 10mins, and a further 5 into PDC.we did get a taxi a few nights as its only â¬3 into PDC, and when it's so hot is def worth it. There wasn't really any children's entertainment on site, which was fine for us but may not be for some. The supermarket on site is ok but found the Dino one down the road better stocked and cheaper. Check Out is at noon, but they have a secure luggage area and very nice shower /change area. We wasn't told that you should bring your towels from you bungalow, otherwise they charge 80cents for one. All in all good value for money More

Very good solution for accommodation in Puerto del Carmen
I spent one week at Hyde Park Lane Bungalows with my partner, and we were very satisfied with the accommodation, location, and service. We had a ground floor one bedroom bungalows close to the pool: the kitchen was well equipped for dining, very comfortable living space, bedroom with fan (very useful in PdC) and functioning bathroom with large shower. We had a lovely patio with table and chairs outside, surrounded by plants and flowers. The complex is in a very quiet location and just 5 minutes walk from Los Pocillos beach as well as Avenida de las Playas, with plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarkets (the complex has however a small supermarket on location). There are two pools, both large enough and clean, and with a good number of lounges and umbrellas. Good service, we had our towels changed at least 4 times during the stay despite the notice upon arrival that we would have them changed 2 times only. Bed linen were changed once. Although I told the cleaning lady that she didn't need to worry about our bedroom, she fixed the beds anyway every time she came in (perhaps my poor Spanish didn't serve my purpose). Check out is by 12 noon, but secured storage for luggage is offered, as well as showers and changing rooms if your departure is later in the day (we had our flight at 7 pm, so we stored our bags and spent the afternoon at the pool). Free wifi available at the reception or in the pool area. It is definitely good value accommodation, and I would recommend it both for couples, families, solo travelers or small groups of friends.More

No frills, good accomodation
Cleaned fairly regularly, room had everything we needed. Make sure to ask for a grill if you want to use the bbq. Only downside was one day we came home and the cleaner lady left the door open meaning anyone could have taken our stuff. So make sure to use the safe for valuablesMore

Cheap and most definitely cheerful
Just returned home from 10 days in these bungalows, all the staff were always kind and polite, bungalows cleaned regularly, grounds always spotless, we stayed self catering so cant really comment on the food although we ordered take out pizza from the hotel restaurant one night which was fantastic, it was a 10 minute walk into town which was not too bad plus at least you are away from the crowds once your bed started calling, overall a great time was had by all and we would definitely recommend.
