Will indeed be returning
We have just returned from the Cinco Plazas inthe early hours of this morning. This was our first stay at this hotel, and it defiantly is not going to be our last. Me and my wife stayed here for a week with our 3 children and non of us wanted to leave. Room was great, all brand new. Pools were brilliant, my lit lroom one loved the new splash park they have added! Food was ok, there are plenty of restaurants around to choose from. Hotel staff were all lovely, spoke good English. Our children loved the kids reps, shannan (with the accent) was her favorite she says. Hotel reps were absolutely fab! Really knew what they were doing, gave brilliant suggestions for our days out which we all loved! Our rep Sharice stayed with us at the airport at 11pm helping us with the girls and really ensuring we had the best time right up until the check in desk. Loved every minute, WILL BE RETURNING Thank you.More
Stayed here at the start of June, the hotel is in a perfect location, just up the road from the beach and main strip of bars and restaurants. Our room was in a quiet section of the complex which suited us, there was some work being done on the rooms nearby for refurbishment but the work only took place during the day so it didn't effect us at all. The room and balcony was nice, clean, spacious, near the quieter pool however we generally spent our days near the main pool with the music playing. The pools were nice, plenty of sun beds. Only ate at the restaurant once which was for breakfast which was tasty although my partner had a pizza one afternoon - he ordered it in a takeaway box which was ideal so he could eat it by the pool. Supermarket hiperdino next door was very convenient as well as we often went there for snacks during the day. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again, however there were some cons, although none big enough to affect us massively: -wifi cost €18 for 2 devices, didn't mind paying but would have expected it to be excellent wifi for that price, it worked better by the pool then in our rooms and was a bit temperamental. - our beds were made regularly however we noticed the were never actually re made with clean bed sheets as a mark on the sheet was there the whole week (not a big deal but if they are making the bed they might as well use fresh bed sheets) - finally at the start of the week we received a leaflet from the hotel that stated "late check out available at an added cost" which we were willing to pay as we were not being picked up til 21:40 on our final day and had to check out at 11am, however when we asked reception they said they don't do late check out but they'd provide us with another room if we wanted one on the day. So on the last day we checked out and was now informed by another member of reception that we were allowed a half an hour slot in the shower room -the room was small, literally a shower and toilet, the shower head was broken and nowhere to actually get dried and dressed. I think the staff should do more in terms of late check out for those who are spending the whole day waiting to go home, being denied late check out was a bit of a pain. Nonetheless the hotel is in a great location, great pools and lovely rooms with huge potential when the refurbishment is complete. More
great apartments in a great area
Stayed here for a week 8th june 2017 with my husband, daughter 18 and son 10. we had an upper 1 bedroom apartment at the quieter pool. very clean, great size for 3 of us and everything we needed, lovely sized walk in shower. balcony is a great size and we had the sun there most of the day. sun loungers don't get unchained till 9am and yes towels are put down and loungers are reserved but no different to any other place we have been to, the only thing that annoys me about this is when people don't use them for hours when someone else could be its just greedy and very selfish as soon as we are finished with ours we take towels off for others to use or we don't get any if we are going out for the day simple. Staff are polite enough we didn't really eat much there but the little food we did get was fine and reasonable prices. excellent supermarket next door sells all you need. Down a hill there is plenty of shops and restaurants lovely food lots of choice cheap breakfasts we even got 1 for 1.99 and it was ideal to start the day. wifi is available but at a cost, we didn't pay this as I think it should be included in such a big complex no need to charge, but most of the bars and restaurants have free wifi so we used theres spinnakers bar above the supermarket do lovely food and not far to walk they do great cocktails and staff are very friendly there. we had a late flight and had to leave our room at 11am so had to hang around all day as they were to full to let us keep our room on and the courtesy room isn't really up to much and we only had half hour for 4 of us at an early time so not really any good to us and shower was broke so I'm sure more could be done to help people out considering we did pay for that day in with our holiday. tv has to be paid for but we don't use tv on holiday so didn't bother us. Beds are really comfy aswell lovely clean new sheets. didn't use kids club but people with little ones said it was great they do all sorts with them and gives the parents bit of a rest while kids are having fun. pools are great we stayed around the same pool everyday great size and the main pool is even bigger but very noisy and busy around that 1. they have specials on certain drinks till 18.00 2 euro for a large beer and 2 for a glass of sangria. 2 cocktails for 10 euro. most of the work is finished now so no noise. we would come here again if we were going self catering and I believe they are getting air con aswell which we found we didn't miss as we weren't to hot and we all slept great. A few little changes for eg. free wifi and better arrangements for late checkouts and I would give it 5*More
Arrived in late May/early June. Arrived at the airport and directed to our coach by the holiday reps. Seems we were on an overflow coach for all the other hotels as though many on our flight had said they were staying here, there was none of them on the coach. Actually worked out great because we were dropped last and everyone else had checked in meaning no queuing for us. Apartment complex is divided into three sections (Cinco Plazas ??). There's a pool & baby pool in the main plaza, and a pool in an other. In the third section there's a water playground where the water is barely ankle deep, so really good for our youngest who hadn't long started swim lessons, it's sponge floored and there's waterfalls, showers and cannons, really excellent for tots. The entire complex went through a winter upgrade so apartments were freshly painted, parts newly tiled and with new bathrooms fixtures. We had a two bedroom apartment for Mum, Dad + 3, there's plenty of room in the bedrooms so we took the mattress from the sofa bed and put it in one of the rooms so the three girls would be together. Spacious living area in the apartment with a small kitchenette and balcony or patio area if on ground level. EXTRAS: •Safe costs €20 per week with €5 returnable upon check out. •wifi is available in the rooms, €18 per week for two devices. We didn't bother with it so can't comment as to how good it is......... •TV is basic. Few Spanish channels and Sky News. There is a 'pay to unlock' feature to get a whole range of other English language channels, €20 for one week, €37 for two weeks. NEARBY: •Ten minute walk downhill to beaches and main three-mile strip of shops and restaurants. •Public transport bus stop is about a10 min walk up hill from hotel, and servived by the 03 and 25 routes to Arricfee & Costa Tiguise. •There's also a taxi rank beside the bus stop, though receptionists will phone a taxi for you if you ask. •Rancho Texas park is about 10 mins in a taxi, costs €5 each way. •There's a Dino chain supermarket next door, excellent fresh baked breads every morning. Lidl is a bit of a walk, but only €4 in a taxi each way, and lots of familiar brands as at home.More

We would not return.
This was our second visit to cinco plaza and I can honestly say it will be our last. The new refurbishment was okay, but like other reviews have said it's the attention to detail that it lacks. Kitchen utensils are extremely basic and pretty useless to be honest (tin opener, scissors, Bread knife) etc. You only get 2 hobs and a microwave with missing dials to use for a 2 week self catering family holiday. The sun bed wars are ridiculous in a morning. Also as another review has said, there was a lot of Irish families that didn't bother to watch or control their children. I'm all for children enjoying themselves (we took a 7 year old) but there is no way I'd let him get away with the stuff we witnessed. Also after reading a review we now know why the pool was closed on one of the hottest days of our holiday.... an Irish boy threw a dirty nappy into it. Our flight was not till half past 9 at night and their was no way of booking a room to stay in for the day. So the reception was full all day of people waiting to fly. The luggage room is very small. We put all our luggage in there as we wanted to go for breakfast (9 suitcases in total) and when we got back our cases had been chucked about and even stepped on by other guests. The price for an extra fan, the safe, wifi and television in total was just over €130. I really don't think you should be charged for Little things like wifi and tv. We will not be returning to these apartments on our next holiday to Lanzarote. More
