Nice service, somewhat worn out hotel

The room we got first was a major disappointment: bath tub was stained dirty and the room was generally worn out. We got another room which was a lot nicer, recently renovated. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast and dinner were not bad, except for the canarian dishes that were very tasty. Pool area was clean and a lifeguard was there all day long. Location is brilliant, a 5 min walk to the beach and the boulevard. All and all it was ok, but we will not return.More

Brilliant holiday.

We had a week at Cinco Plazas and it was brilliant. The place is very clean and the staff, all of them can't do enough for you. It's only a short walk to the beach and the strip with many restaurants and bars. There are three pools and plenty of loungers and also a small supermarket on site for all your basics. the staff will a cab from reception which will arrive within a couple of minutes. We have already booked for a return visit. There is a good restaurant on site but I must say that the entertainment is a bit half baked but there is plenty of other distraction nearby. The ONLY downside in our week was the Thomsons Rep who was a waste of space. if you need any local information ask the excellent reception staff.More

Excellent Location

These apartments are in an ideal location. A short walk to pubs, beach and shops. Also the hill to the beach is bearable. Apartments clean and huge. Only downside for our stay was the pool table was immediately outside of our apartment and this meant disturbed nights. Also if possible request a second floor apartment. We didn't. This was the major flaw. We went for a relaxing break but had a family above us who may as well have been a family of small elephants. We were woken at 0530 EVERY morning by the small child running around like he was a Duracell bunny. Not the relaxing holiday I imagined. However all in all these apartments are good value for money. No sunbed dilemmas but be warned Nov not the sunniest of months as we found out. Staff very helpful and the one issue we had regarding our room safe not functioning was sorted out within 2 minutes. Very pleasant stay despite the slight noise in apartment above. More

Great hotel, fab holiday.

I was a bit worried about booking a 3 star hotel but was sold by the price of a 2 bedroom apartment which had such good reviews on here. We were very happy, a lovely, spacious, well equiped apartment. It was quiet at night, our balcony overlooked the Amarillo pool which was lovely to wake to in the morning. The hotel seemed quite quiet, we usually swapped pools half way through the day as our daughter liked our pool but also liked the big pool. We never had an issue getting sunbeds or an umbrella. The lifeguards were fantastic, they worked really hard, my daughter loved Mamadoo, he was great with the kids. We didnt have any food in the hotel but breakfast looked good. We took our daughter to the mini disco a few times and that was ok but didnt last very long. Puerto del Carmen was great, plenty of places to eat and drink. The supermarket next door had a great variety, everything we needed. A day out to Texas Rancho highly recommended. A great hotel, very central. Would return tomorrow if possible!!!!! I agree with lots of travellers, would of liked aircon.More
