Available from May 2017. Designed for 3 to 11-year-olds, our Kids’ Clubs by Family Life offer daytime activities, five times a week. To ensure all activities suit your little and not-so-little ones, we’ve split the Clubs into age groups and tailored the activities for each. Went to cinco plaza in June 2016 with our 2 kids for 10 days. We picked cinco plaza on recommendation from travel agent that the facilities for kids were fantastic. Having read the reviews here we thought we were onto a winner.
Sorry to say we were majorly let down. Apartment was dirty and dated. Spent plenty of time killing cockroaches.
Kids club by Thompson offered very little other than colouring. 1 day they do play a quick game of water polo. No music by pool during the day at all or games going on which was standard at other apartments we have been. Reps only interested in selling excursions. Which some are cheaper to book yourself.
Food only got take away pizza once from time in apartments and this was very nice. Bar closes I think at 10 with the night time entertainment laughable.
Was so surprised at it had received such good reviews here we expected lots more to be going on.
Pools were clean and life guards very friendly. Cleaners in once in the 10 days.
To cap it off we were woken half of the mornings by drilling being done on disabled bathroom.
All I can advise is avoid. What a let down. Way nicer places to stay.More
I stayed here in 25th May 2016 for a week with my family. Hotel is basic and you get what you paid for.
Staff & Food - Mediocre apart from David the restaurant manager who was exceptional!! He is an absolute credit to the hotel and works extremely hard to ensure everyone is happy despite having very little staff to help him. Breakfasts are basic and could with self service option as they have the facilities to do this. No options for cereal or fruit and it's sit and wait to be served wh oh lies the problem as they only ever had 1 staff member doing all the tables aka David. Dinner menu was shocking unless you liked deep fried chicken , burgers, pizza and nothing was freshly prepared but pre packed job.
Accommodation - Clean and basic as expected but to a good standard . Unfortunately if you arrive at the hotel late at night there are no clear indications of which block are 200s or 300s and you get given a map to search for your room at reception. There is a safe in the room which you ask at reception for the code and let check out is decided 24hrs before you leave .
Pools - Massive plus point as there were several dotted around the complex. They are well maintained with lifeguards however the sun loungers are that great and could do with updating .
Location - Perfect! Just turn left out of the hotel and you have a little walk down to the beach which is less than 10 minutes away however if you have trouble walking getting back up the incline takes it toll. There is a supermarket right next door for everything you need and the beach has more restaurants and bars to enjoy. There is a little excursion place just past the supermarket who do all the trips throughout Lanzarote.Spinnakers Irish bar is also excellent on food and for 3 adults to have 2 courses and a drink less than £40. We opted to pay by card as the conversion rate was better than paying in euros. Cease Manrique foundation worth a visit aswell as Fire Mountain ð
If your looking for a place with a good location and somewhere to put your head down then here is ideal.More
Stayed for one week start of June, 2 adults 2 kids, for a large complex I loved how it was spaced out between 3 sections so it didn't feel overcrowded, had a 2 bed apt ground floor in plaza amarilo 1120 right by the pool couldn't have been more happy. perfect for the kids. All staff esp life guards, hi to mamadue and Martha in the kiddies disco were so friendly and great with all the kids. Complex was in an ideal location, right next door to the spinaker rest, lovely food and supermarket. My only negative would be no air conditioning, there was a fan but would have preferred the air con and walls are very thin I could hear next door when they flushed the toilet! I would definitely recommend the Cinco Plaza and look forward to coming back here some time soon . More
