These apartments come with three pools. There’s one in each part of the complex, and the two smallest ones are for chilling out. Come mealtimes, there’s a buffet restaurant with a bonus à la carte option.
It’s a 10-minute downhill walk to a long sandy Blue Flag beach. And Puerto del Carmen’s shops, bars and restaurants are even closer.
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times. Open from May to mid-October.

Cinco Plazas is in a great location in the middle of the Puerto Del Carmen strip. Its up a bit of a bank from the sea front but nothing to worry about.
The apartments are split in to 3 sections and my wife and I stayed in Montana. Montana had 60 rooms (30 ground floor, 30 1st) situated around a decent sized pool. All rooms were facing the pool although some had better views than others.
The rooms themselves were large and you get a patio area on the ground floor or a balcony if you are 1st. Its tiled throughout, looks modern and is very clean. There is a TV although few English channels (BBC News, Sky News, Disney Channel, Discovery Max and Sky Sports 1). The kitchen has a microwave, hob, toaster, kettle and fridge. The bathroom is again decent and the shower was hot with good pressure.
The only downside to the rooms is that they are hot and only a fan is provided. We found leaving the windows open in all rooms during the night and leaving the fan on soon cooled them down though.
There is kids entertainment during the day and more adult stuff going on as well like aqua gym, water polo, darts etc. We didnt stay for any of the evening entertainment but if im honest the bits i saw didnt look the best.
Overall this is a great hotel and Id recommend it to couples and families.More

Having been to Cinco Plazas for the past 4 years, each time in Aug I have to say I can highly recommend these apts for families. We contacted reception prior to our arrival looking for a specific room number and were given the one beside it which was perfect. We have stayed in 3213 twice, 3214 & 3216. The location of these rooms is perfect overlooking the main pool. This year we noticed some small changes, towels in rooms are new and there are more umbrellas around the pool. All staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. We hired an extra fan as it was so hot again, August usually is. There are larger air-con units you can rent if available but when we were there we didn't hire one this year as they were not available, however we have rented them in previous years. This complex is a great base for PDC and as it is away from the main strip it is not in a noisy area. There is limited entertainment in the evening but we didn't stay for it. We ate out every night as there are so many restaurants to choose from. There is a restaurant here and they do some themed evenings e.g. BBQ evening once a week. We never ate here this year but have done on other years, and food is nice. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. The entertainer this year was a girl called Carla who was friendly enough when we spoke with her around the pool during the day. She is new this year too. My daughter aged 9 met some lovely friends and is still in touch with them via email and Skype. One of the girls was a repeat visitor too as she stayed in 2014. My older daughter who is 17 over the years made many friends and again this year met some friends from last year. They get a lot of repeat business at Cinco Plazas and I can see why. We are hoping to go again in Aug 2016. The scramble for sunbeds this year wasn't too bad the 1st week we were there but the 2nd week was crazy! Although I still think it was a little less busy than other years even though they were full. PDC is a great place but do venture out to other parts of the Island as there is so much to see & do. This year we went to Playa Blanca for 1st time and went on Market day so we will be doing that again. Also the usual, Timanfaya and Rancho Texas are a must but there are so many more places too. All in all I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend it for families with children. The Thomson kids club was good too but as my daughter made friends it was even better. She didn't go every day but when she did she thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't have any other dealings with Thomson reps but they seemed to be onsite most of the time. Hopefully be back Aug 2016!More
Stayed here for two weeks at the start of September. It's a fantastic complex with everything you need on site and only 5 mins walk from the main strip. Great staff friendly and really helpful. Only one let down is that there is no air conditioning but you can manage without it! Had a great holiday in lanzarote!!More
Very good family stay
Stayed here in July 2015 as a family - Very good room size and for anyone with children is perfect with the pool being on the front door. 2 very good supermarkets close by and only a short walk to the beach area. All the pools have lifeguards and they keep good control over the area to ensure jumping/messing around is kept to a minimum.
Only downside id say is that there is a "queue" for the sun loungers very early in the morning and if your not quick you dont get a "good spot" but this was not a problem for us as i would set an alarm reserve the beds i required then went back to bed for an hour or so.
On the whole a very enjoyable stay at the Cinco plazas and would definatley stay again.More
