We arrived here on 31st July around 8pm, check in was fine with lovely staff and we were given a map to our rooms. We had 2 ground floor studios, these were situated overlooking the same road that the reception area is on. At first we were slightly disappointed by this location but it was so quiet and away from the main hustle and bustle it meant our 2 young children could sleep in the day. The rooms themselves are very clean and have all the essentials you need, we are not a family that eats in alot so we had everything needed. The studios were not very spacious but again they are designed for 2 people so were more than adequate. The pool areas are fantastic both the larger pools were great but our children both loved the splash pool, it was easy to just sit and watch them play and all the children played so nicely together there. The only gripe with the pool areas is the same that's been mentioned before about the sunbeds. We would tale a stroll out for breakfast most mornings and either be greeted by towels all over the floor and about 50 people camped out round the beds waiting for them to be unlocked or every bed placed out with towels on and around 5 people sunbathing. We would spend an hour or so in the pool each day so just left towels on a wall or floor. The small kids play area in the resort needs attention as every day there were beer bottles and sometimes vomit in the little play house so we had to keep our kids away from it. One morning there was a Chinese takeaway in there so someone had obviously eaten it in there The night before. The location is great, supermarket right next door which stocks everything you need and a 5 minute walk downhill to the seafront with so many shops, bars and restaurants. Our favourites were O'reillys for breakfast and American Indian cafe for dinner. Spinnaker bar next door above the supermarket is lovely too just was very hot in the daytime. Would definately recommend the cinco plazas to most family's or couples and maybe one day we will return.More
Cinco Plaza excellent
Spent two weeks here and it was amazing apartments spotless staff very friendly No faults with anything Didn't eat it restaurant but ice cream was amazing and not expensive Very near the hustle and bustle but quiet and relaxing More
Just home from one week at Cinco Plazas and all in all had a good holiday. Checked in with no major difficulties, apartment was good, clean and well stocked with towels. There is no air con so definitely make sure you have a fan, there should be one in the apartment but if not you can get them at reception. Positives of the apartment: kitchen is small but all that you need to cook is there, good sized fridge and freezer, bathroom clean and tidy, good shower, good wardrobe space, balcony with pool view. Negatives: beds not overly comfortable, no air con, walls are paper thin. The pools and splash zones were excellent. There is the issue of sun beds and parasols, sun beds are unlocked at 8.45am and there are not enough parasols, so get yourself down before that to make sure you ain't disappointed. Location: good supermarket right next door, 2 good restaurants with in 100yds; Nicos and the Spinnaker. It is quite a step climb to the strip but it's only a 10 min stroll. Evening entertainment hit and miss, there's a magician on one night, don't miss him he's excellent. The actual onsite entertainer is quite temperamental. He was sick one day, back at work and as large as life the next day, only to be sick the next day. Hotel staff at reception and bar very friendly. A lot of Irish families here. It's good don't get me wrong, a few niggles as mentioned but a holiday is what you make it, so go and have fun. More
Location great . Entertainment needs improving
The location is brilliant a beautiful place can't fault Lanzarote . The apartments were clean and spacious very comfortable , the down side to the cinco plaza is the entertainment the evenings consist of baby disco for an hour then bingo or quiz night with about 10 people , with occasional decent entertainment , can't blame the entertainment team considering it consists of 1 person who does his best considering he's alone , evenings out of the complex is a must unless you want to be in bed by 9 . We had to hire a car which was a life saver to us and a must . The sun bed situation is laughable people marking there spots with towels before beds are unlocked then poor man got swamped once open they were like vultures then get there bed , had one family put out 4 beds a day went out for the day come back at 4 had a swim took there towels away at 5 so for an hours use the hogged beds for the whole day . Can't fault accommodation but like I said only thing can fault is the entertainment , but not the one entertainer as obviously doing his job . Missed sitting round and having a drink but it was ghost town by 9 .More
This is my family's 1st visit to Puerto del Carmen and our time at Cinco Plaza was better than expected. We were in room.1111 and we could not fault the sevice from any of the staff whom we found polite and helpful. The cleanliness was better than expected. The complex is well maintained and has a pleasant family atmosphere. As a family we are not easily pleased however this was a fantastic from start to finish. Well done and we will see you soon. More
