Second stay in 2 years...but
As the title says, this was our second family holiday in 2 years, the first time round we went all inclusive loved it with all the facilities, entertainment and great food. So it made sense to book our next holiday at the same hotel and and bring family members. Few months prior to arriving, I upgraded my room to a Merlin kids room, had good communications with the hotel and all sorted....so I thought. On arrival they had mixed my room upgrade with cousin's room as we had the same surname, how this happened with different booking references I do not know but this caused our check in to be delayed by an hour as they tried to sort it out and with tired and hungry 3-7 yos this was frustrating. That said the reception were brilliant and sorted things out. As per, the meals and entertainment were brilliant but I had noticed a few changes which did disappoint. The last time we were here, the Italian restaurant was open during lunch, so this made it easy for us with kids to eat there as opposed to trekking to the other end of the resort to the main restaurant. Secondly, the self service lunch bar at the kids pool area was disappointing, the food was cold on a couple days and they had removed the toasting machine so no cheese toasties!! my daughter was gutted! All talked about to her cousins was cheese toasties at lunch time. The wifi, although we were informed had improved was actually rubbish. That said, the staff were fantastic and despite the little issues or set backs, they did bend over to do their best but I got the strong feeling the new management had set them a tough task to deal with customers and make cutbacks. Such as shame because the resort is fantastic and would highly recommend it, I just hope the new management doesn't ruin it.More
Me and my partner (both mid forties) stayed in the hotel last week on a deluxe basis. For us practically everything about our stay was perfect! Hotel in a great spot, and the room itself was clean and in a great location for us (directly above the lobby overlooking the pool and sea). Food good - my partner is a VERY fussy eater and he was able to eat just fine. For the clientele I would say the entertainment is just about right - not too overboard, with enough to keep you entertained if you want to be, but if you were travelling with teenagers, then there probably wouldn't be enough for them (maybe it is bit different in the school holidays). Hotel staff on the whole all friendly and helpful. Would definitely return! More
Stayed at this hotel last week in August on a half board basis. Everything about our stay was excellent. The hotel is spotless. Our rooms were serviced everyday. The food is very good. Freshly cooked for breakfast and evening meal fish or meat cooked while you wait. The staff are so pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is very well positioned, a short walk to the shops and there are lots of restaurants along the boardwalk. Will definitely return.More
Stayed for 10 nights All inclusive. Can not fault the food or drink plenty to choose from and excellent quality. Pool areas are very clean and well maintained, had a deluxe room so was able to use reserved area sun loungers. Reception staff need to remember they are only staff, not jumped up mangers, bar men need to speed up and smile a bit more. Waiting staff are run off there feet on busy nights around bar. Could not fault room and the cleaners where most friendliest of all, very helpful. Hotel is in good walking distance from shops, bars and beach. Only let down was on last day, overall great stay. But would look at other hotels before rebooking here. More
