When it comes to location, this hotel is hard to beat. The beach is practically within throwing distance, Rubicon Marina is five minutes away on foot, and the town centre comes in at ten.
Highlights of this hotel include a pair of large pools, a beach bar and a huge roster of activities.

Highly recommend the Hesperia !
My wife and i stayed here at the end of January for 5 days and we couldn't have asked for better. From the minute we were greeted at reception until we left, there is nothing we could have faulted. We booked a standard room but were kindly upgraded to a Junior Suite which was a nice touch. Service was always attentive without being "gushy or over the top", polite and very helpful. We booked bed & breakfast and the choice was excellent. the hotel catered for everyone and it was nice to see such a mix of age groups. The hotel was busy but the staff had everything under control in spite of the numbers. The Hesperia has a brilliant location, right beside a pathway which can either lead you over to the Marina area or the 5 minute stroll to the centre of Playa Blanca. Would we go back ? We certainly will and hopefully later this year !More
Pleasant and Enjoyable Stay
This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel and although there were a few irritations we enjoyed our stay. Check-in seemed a little long winded and the failure of our luggage to arrive after an hours wait didnât help, especially since it was still in the reception area when we went to look for it! The location of the hotel however is excellent offering an easy walk into Playa Blanca or the Rubicon Marina. All the staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We had a couple of issues with the plumbing in our room which were dealt with very quickly by the maintenance staff. A coffee machine in the room is a nice idea but the provision of only 4 shots is a little mean. Replacement coffee pods were available via reception at a cost of 15 euro Food in the Vulcan restaurant especially breakfast was of a good quality with plenty of choice, In the evening there was always a good selection of fresh meat and fish available to be cooked to order. Other dishes were OK and of a standard you would expect. Personally I did not like the restaurant décor and the lack of windows made the room a little drab. The Deluxe lounge offered a nice late breakfast option and also an enjoyable area to sit and relax, I particularly liked the free use of the Ipads and computer. The poolside area for the deluxe guests was nicely laid out and the sun beds were comfortable. Having stayed in Playa Blanca a number of times at different hotels I donât think we would return to Playa Dorada againMore
Here again it's great!
We have been coming to this hotel since 2000. We have forgotten how many times but at least 20. Our many friends from around Europe well out number our visits. We have seen many changes here some good and some ridiculous but the hotel's salvation is the location and it's hardcore of really nice and decent staff. The place is what it is and is constantly trying to be somewhere for all tastes, which it will never achieve I suspect. It's worth a visit and to be frank if you don't enjoy yourself it's probably because you expected to much or you haven't tried enough. More
Great hotel in Playa Blanca
Fantastic position on sea front half way between Rubicon and Playa Blanca.Heated outdoor and indoor pools. Friendly and helpful staff, our deluxe room had a brilliant view of the bay and sunsets and a huge comfortable bed. There was a large variety of food in the restaurant which is always of very high quality and would suit every taste. A lovely golden sandy beach within 100 mtrs of hotel beachside entrance. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and will definitely return again.More
Almost everything one would want
I had a lovely, comfortable, enjoyable week here. The staff without exception were friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool was heated so that one could enjoy a swim in February. A pity there is a charge for the indoor facilities for all except DeLuxe all inclusive guests. As we had lovely weather for the week it was not a problem but had it been poor weather this might have been irritating. One other disappointment is the lack of a kettle in the room but the staff know that and hopefully something will be done. Simple kettles through out would not be costly whereas the coffee machines provided, I would think, were much more expensive. A few tea and coffee sachets should not break the bank either for a 4* hotel. These minor irritations did not mar our stay and I can't wait to go again to enjoy the pool, good service, friendliness and perfect position, virtually on the beach. The wonderful long promenade on which one can walk in both directions passing many little shops and restaurants. Lovely atmosphere.More
