The Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada is well set up for couples and families, with a great pool scene and a location that’s close to the beach and marina.
When it comes to location, the Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada is hard to beat. There’s a sandy beach 2 minutes’ walk away and the shops and yachts at Rubicon marina take just over 5 minutes to reach on foot. You can also walk along the prom to the town centre – it’ll take about 10 minutes. At the hotel itself, the pool scene definitely deserves a mention. There are 2 big pools – one’s criss-crossed by little bridges, while the other’s next to a pair of children’s pools. There’s also an al fresco bar serving salads, sandwiches and snacks. Inside, there’s a buffet restaurant with local and international dishes, and a wellness centre with a pool, hot tub and sauna. As for keeping busy, there’s a list of activities that includes archery and boules, a 9-hole pitch and putt course, and a gym. After dark, meanwhile, you’ve got live entertainment and a nightclub.

This hotel was kept lovely and clean and the staff were lovely. The food could have been a little hotter but good nonetheless. Sea out the back of the hotel where it is nice and flat to go walking along the sea front. You feel nice and safe at this location. Plenty of shops for the shopaholics. The only bad thing is most of the evening entertainmentMore

We had a nice relaxing break here last year, so can't comment on any recent changes. The bed wasn't very comfortable for me personally, I prefer a firmer mattress. We had one of the rooms with a patio area to the left of the main entrance. Lots of bars & restaurants a few hundred years down the promenade. Good facilities and the pool was pleasant.More

All inclusive Hesperia Playa Dorada
Hotel was excellent in all aspects.Staff were friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them.Extremely clean around the whole hotel.Pool was excellent and always clean.Entertainments were varied and good standard.Food choice was excellent. We stayed deluxe after a free upgrade but both restaurants were excellent. Not sure if I'd pay the difference to go deluxe.Everybody seemed to use whatever facilities they wanted. There didn't seem to be any obvious monitoring of the exclusive areas. This was our first time all inclusive.I wish we'd tried it years ago.All services here were really excellent.Food choice was excellent and varied.Restaurant open times were very good too.I would definitely recommend this hotel. We'll be going back next year!More

Having just returned from a week stay on the deluxe package. I have to say that the rooms are spacious and quiet. The area set aside for the deluxe clientele has large sunshades and comfortable beds. The deluxe package means you have a separate dinning room but the food is the same as the other dinning room, and they seem to have a problem with keeping the food hot, and always seemed short of staff,so we ate in the other dinning room. My advice if you choose this hotel to go bed and breakfast as their are some good quality resturants nearby.More

Jury is out!
Having just returned from a two week stay, I have some reservation over what the hotel and adjacent resort are doing. One of the major attractions was the tranquility of the area, this has been shattered by both the hotel and local bars which feel that inflicting as much noise as possible at night is entertainment. The hotel have relocated their shows to an outside stage which is both below and adjacent to hotel rooms. If you wish to go to bed early or have young children, make sure your rooms do not overlook the main pools. There are also two local bars which are next to each other with live bands playing over each other! Madness. The noise in this area is extremely intrusive from 10PM onwards. Also if you decide to go ' Deluxe ' these area's are adjacent to the main pools and the sound system at the pool bar is full belt over the lunch period and seems to kick in again from 5PM,
Other than that, the food is good as is the location the rooms and staff but I feel that they are letting themselves down by inflicting all that noise on residents who find themselves located adjacent to the main pools.
Noise, noise, noise..........put a sock in it Playa Blanca.
I have had no reservations recommending the hotel to friends and collegues in the past, but I would now.More
