The Hesperia Playa Dorada is a great base for a beach holiday in Lanzarote. The standard rooms aren't huge, but they are clean and comfortable and have a decent sized balcony with table and chairs. We only went B&B so I can't comment on the overall food but the breakfast had a great choice with a separate restaurant if you had upgraded. The staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful.
The two pools were large, clean and had plenty of sunbeds. The main pool overlooking the sea had grassy areas slightly away from the pool also if you wanted a more peaceful location.
You can rent beach/pool towels from the hotel so no need to take up your luggage allowance.
Loved the location of this hotel as it had no noisy bars close but were situated in between 2 lovely marinas, approximately 10-15 minutes walk along the seafront to either. There you will find bars, restaurants and a few shops. The Rubicon Marina has a lovely cocktail bar where you can watch the sunset.
We will definitely be back to this lovely hotel and location.More
Excellent hotel offering good facilities with great food. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Will be back for 4 more weeks next year. Went all inclusive and deluxe. Other people should not complain about the different levels of service provided to guests. You get what you pay for. It's not an 'us and them' system it's just the same as taking a flight on an aircraft. Some people choose to travel economy class and some go 1st class and 1st class passengers get a different level of service because they have paid a premium price. No difference as we are given a choice of what level of accommodation we choose.More
FANTASTIC HOTEL ! !
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 1 week in June this year and had an amazing time from checking in to checking out.
The staff were always very helpful ,friendly and efficient.
The hotel and grounds spotlessly clean.
The food was excellent [something for everyone ]and coffee was pure ground from a pod machine.
We booked an A / I Deluxe holiday which enabled us to use both the Volcano and the Papagao restaurants [both very good with show cooking if desired] with plenty of choice. There were plenty of sunbathing areas to choose from too.
Our room was very spacious with a huge double bed and the balcony overlooked the pool and the sea from the 2nd floor.
This hotel is in a prime location only 5 mins walk either way to the beach, shops and the Rubicon Marina all on the level promenade.
A Special Thankyou to Mahammad one of the waiters in the Volcano Restaurant ,who was very busy but always happy with a friendly manner as were all his colleagues but must say he was exceptional .
We will definitely recommend The Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada to our family and friends
WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN ! !.

Good value hotel
Just had two week at the Hesperai Playa Dorada.
Excellent value for money, we had a junior suite, so quite a big room.
came with a balcony, partial seaview, and refrigerator (some places charge you for this).
Breakfast was buffet style and large selection.
Did not dine in for dinner as food was so such good value in the local restaurants.
the hotel itself was good, nicely laid out and with a varied program of activities/events. Room was serviced each day, towels changed etc.
As with most hotels the chairs around the pool ended up being reserved with the towels of people who were rarely seen! there was a policy against these type of thoughtless people but it was not enforced.
There is free wifi, such as it was. connection was never good, drops out or sometimes just wont connect. If wifi is essential forget it.
Overall good value for money (Eur 75 per night).More
