The hotel location is fantastic. We stayed in a standard room over looking the back swimming pool which was very quiet. The deluxe areas around the other pool area looked over crowded and we would have been disappointed if we'd paid extra for deluxe. This is our second time at the hotel and we would return.

Happy Holiday at the Hesperia
We stayed 10 nights at the Hesperia on an all inclusive deluxe package, we had sea view room which was amazing. The deluxe option is well worth the money as you had many extras, such as a choice of restaurants, the Volcano was the dedicate deluxe one, with shabby chic furniture, this gave it a bistro ambience. There seemed to be a more more extensive choice of food, which included fresh seafood, pasta and meat cooked to order. At Breakfast, there was a choice of fresh back bacon which was cooked upon request, also spanish omelets or eggs of your choice cooked in front of you. Lunch was taken in the standard restaurant, which was fine and had an outside area. It was nice to take one meal in a different restaurant. The deluxe option also allowed you a choice of wines.
The hotel is large and very spacious with fabulous pools. The main one was heated which was a luxury. The pool area itself was lovely, and the deluxe section had astro turf and a choice of cabanas or sun loungers that were really comfortable, however, as with all hotels these days there was a shortage at peak times. But the beach was only a 5 min walk and it was only 9 euros for two loungers and a parasol, so not really a problem for us. The sea was crystal clear with golden sand.
The pool bar served drinks and snacks all day, and there was an excellent choice including ice cream, crisps, coffee and cocktails. In the deluxe area, fruit and cocktails were fetched round by a bar person several times a day. In the evening drinks were served in the lobby bar, again branded names, and if you were deluxe you had more choice, such as tia maria, jamesons whisky, bombay gin etc. Our only grip was that the bar staff in this area were not too friendly, hardly making eye contact at all, getting served was a matter of pot luck. Entertainment was hit and miss, the average hotel acts.
The location of the hotel was superb, the best in Playa Blanca, everything within walking distance, and we always felt safe.
The cost of the safe was an issue, as we felt it should be included in the price.
We would highly recommend this hotel, it represents luxury at an affordable price.More

First holiday in Lanzerote
My frist holiday in Lanzarote, thought I would try somewhere else this year as I uslally travel to Menorca, which i love but just wanted to try somewhere else.
I chose Lanzarote and booked to stay at Hesperia Playa Dorada, Playa Blanca.
I really enjoyed my stay, location was excellent. Food was fine, plenty of choice but not the best I've had on holiday would score 7-8 out of 10, nothing wrong with it but not as much choice with hot meals as some places I've stayed at. My room was lovely, even though it was described as a"comfort" room which I assumed was smaller than standard, it was a good size and decor was good and much better than some hotels I've stayed at. I also like the way the hotel is designed just one two or three stories, once in the room, it was so quiet. I found all staff to be super friendly and very helpful. I arranged a couple of trips through them. Had an excellent stay and have already booked to go back next year. Had only been home one dat when I re booked.
I had a little tumble one day, slippy flip flops and slippy floor, was asked several times by the staff , if I was ok, they were all so helpful, special thanks to Monica and Britta.
Lovely stay - thanksMore

" Hesperia" great hotel!!
Stayed here for eleven nights bed and breakfast, standard room overlooking small pool with a sea view, that says it really!!!
Friendly staff all round from cleaning, gardening, food/bar ,reception and wellness centre. Breakfast was plentiful catered for everyone including people who may have food intolerance.
The surrounding area is a pleasant walk either way with lots of choice of bars and restaurants to suit all budgets, dorada beach is very nice and lovely to have a drink in the beach bars on an evening live music, cocktails etc
Very family friendly all round.
Would recommend thank you to a hard working team .More
