Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada

Loading

When it comes to location, the Hotel Hesperia Playa Dorada is hard to beat. There’s a sandy beach 2 minutes’ walk away and the shops and yachts at Rubicon marina take just over 5 minutes to reach on foot. You can also walk along the prom to the town centre – it’ll take about 10 minutes. At the hotel itself, the pool scene definitely deserves a mention. There are 2 big pools – one’s criss-crossed by little bridges, while the other’s next to a pair of children’s pools. There’s also an al fresco bar serving salads, sandwiches and snacks. Inside, there’s a buffet restaurant with local and international dishes, and a wellness centre with a pool, hot tub and sauna. As for keeping busy, there’s a list of activities that includes archery and boules, a 9-hole pitch and putt course, and a gym. After dark, meanwhile, you’ve got live entertainment and a nightclub.

Great hotel

Very good hotel, nice people, good restaurant (self service, large choice of food). The location of the hotel is GREAT: A view meters only from the sandy beach "Playa Dorada" (You don't have to cross roads). A large traffic-free walkway to Playa Blanca center and to Marina Rubicon. All at short distances. More

Great hotel

This is our second stay at the Hotel Playa Dorada in Lanzarote. The hotel has just completed a refurbishment and has upgraded the majority if not all of the sea view rooms to 'Deluxe Rooms'. We decided to upgrade to a Deluxe Room as it was only an extra 25 euros upon arrival, however prior to this it was priced at an additional 70 euros per night, and working with a rate of 1.16 this turned out to be another £600 on top of the holiday cost for 10 nights. Personally I don't think the upgrade would have been worth an extra £600 by any stretch. However priced at a more sensible 25 euros per night, we elected to go with it. Firstly you do get a wonderful sea view and view of the grounds which I touch upon below. You are given a variety of benefits, with this, starting right away with drinks at reception, a porter then arranges to have your luggage conveyed to your room, the rooms are very nicely done, tastefully decorated with laminate flooring and furnished and have a large approx 32" wall mounted flat-screen TV, and a fridge to keep any drinks you purchase from nearby supermarkets nice and fresh. The balcony is also equipped with table and chairs. You also get access to an exclusive restaurant. Designated Seating areas outside by the pool, access to a VIP room which has various comfy seats, reading lamps and is also equipped with several iPads and a touchscreen Sony Vaio PC, running Windows 8, and as a finishing touch you also get delicious chocolates on your pillow on an evening. The hotel grounds are very nicely done and the location couldn't be better, both for those who love to be close to the beach, and within good walking distance of shops, marina and restaurants. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and efficient. My only complaint if you can call it that was the bathroom sink plug was dodgy and it wouldn't keep water in it, and I would have reported this if it was a major concern. I'm looking forward to going back as I love everything about it, the hotel to me is a prime location and ideally situated, I can't imagine staying or wanting to stay anywhere else.More

Lovely Hotel

We have just returned from our holiday at the Hesperia Playa Dorada. When we read some of the negative reviews before we travelled, we were a little wary. However, the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel was very clean. The food was good, varied and there was plenty of choice. Something for everyone. The location was excellent being half way between the beautiful Marina on one side and a lovely beach and the little town the other way. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. We will have no hesitation over returning. A very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.More
