Tbh tropical island playa blanca
Rooms clean and quiet, pools were cold but ok once in them, it never put our 2 yr old off! . Nothing for our 15 yr old to do at all in the evenings. The done area was like butlins in the 80's.!! The food was awful, the restaurant was a buffet area downstairs , just get fed and leave, watches were tapped when arriving towards the end of service. No hot drinks available with evening meal. Fruit was tinned peaches and pineapple, apples were rubbery. Burnt bacon dished up one morning. Towards end of our 10 days they decided to dig up the tiles on a quarter of the poolside. Building work continued after the Easter break on apartments facing. Had to queue for all drinks as no water freely available.More
Great relaxing holiday
Just got back from a lovely weeks stay during easter holidays. We were staying all inclusive in a premium apartment. The premium apartments are modern with comfortable beds. If you stay premium you get a key card to the adult pool and bar area which is lovely and relaxing and the cocktail of the day is made by hand instead of premixed as in the other bars (premixed obviously saves time when people are queuing for drinks, but not as nice). If you've got kids, one of the adults can pop in and take away the drinks in a plastic cup. The entertainment dome isn't really our thing. We did pop in one evening and the kids enjoyed the movie quiz which was acted out on stage by the ent. team. The pool bar serves burgers, pizza, salads etc and this is mainly where we grabbed lunch. We didn't find the queue long. The buffet breakfast and evening meal had plenty of choice if you're not a fussy eater. Every night had a different theme; Mexican, Indian etc. Sunday evening had Yorkshire puddings and mash! There was always salads, cheese, bread, cold meats, chips and pizza regardless of the theme. We tried the canarian restaurant one evening which is free if you're all inclusive. (The Italian was fully booked and we had to book the canarian one a few days ahead) if you've got fussy eaters with you then maybe give this one a miss, but our kids loved the octopus! The tavern pub was decent for a game of pool and a few drinks. Never overly busy and didn't have to queue. The pools were a bit chilly at first but once you're in they're fine. Our apartment was ground floor and opened out onto one of the smaller pools. We loved this as we could be in and out of the apartment while keeping an eye on the kids (age 8&12). Some of the other apartments faced gardens which might be better for people who want a quieter stay (not that it was rowdy) struggled to get a bed round our pool. People always stuck their towels on them and then went off for breakfast. Never had a problem getting sunbeds at the main pool though, there were always big piles of them. The spa is worth â¬5. Adults only though. We managed to go there for an hour in the hottest part of the day and we were the only people there! There was a kids club with a sign outside stating what was on every day, usually 2-3 different things per day. As our son is 12 he was too old (I don't think they would have turned him away, he just didn't want to try it, so his sister didn't try either.) There was a games room beside the supermarket with video games for older kids. We didn't try it but I think it was â¬1 for 10 mins. Usually a small group of teens in there in the evening. It was about 20 min walk down to the sea front. The Rubicon marina was nice, but we didn't go out in the evening. (Download a map of the area onto your phone so that you can find your way around when you're out of the WiFi zone of the hotel. The WiFi was good. We got a code for 4 devices. It was a â¬10 deposit to borrow tennis racquets. There was refurbishment work going on but the disruption was minimal. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with friendly staff. (We packed pool towels but they were free from reception in premium and â¬10 deposit with â¬1 to pay if you changed them if not premium.) I would definitely recommend staying premium as the apartments were very comfortable. More
Good family holiday
Accomadation Premium suite - clean and basic , just about enough space for 2 adults and 2 small children - clean - except on Thursday and Sunday no cleaning of rooms except if emergency Plenty of towels If you need an Iron - pay 15 euros for a week for iron and board Beach towels 10 euro deposit Back gate - deposit for fob to exit - does make the walk to the beach easier but still about 15 minutes Note no air con until summer time after may - so was very hot some nights - did supply fan when requested Plenty of pools - great kids fountain area All areas kept very clean Far from beach but plenty of pool areas in th estate Kids disco - fantastic All inclusive a very good option as quite a distance to travel for restaurants outside and snacks for kids ( though repetitive ) was life saver through the day at the pool bar All inclusive dining area noisy but food choices are good .David the chef was fantastic at the grill! Could do with 2 chefs to prevent long queues during peak times. Went on the short south tour - was perfect for us with small kids - saw national park ( volcanic area ) and went to a vineyard.Tour buses are the best way to see the national park as they can bypass the long queues of cars .Do not miss this tour it's great .Its only for about 5 hrs that's including travel time . In summary it's great for family with kids. Its worth visiting the beach and walking along the promenade - Missed a view of the ocean from the hotel but other amenities do make up for it.Accomadation would be more a 3 star than 4 star . Value for moneyMore
Lovely place apart from the queues!
Just back from an all inclusive week, lovely hotel and layout lots of pools to choose from room basic but clean we went premium and the towelling robes, bowl of fruit and bottle of red wine was a nice touch you also have access to the backdoor key which cuts about 10 mins off the walk back from Playa Blanca and pool towels you can change as often as you like. Food was fine as with all inclusive gets a bit repetitive but you can book two restaurants if you fancy a change. The reason we've marked this as average and won't be coming back is the amount of time we spent queuing, from getting a table in the main buffet restaurant, then at each counter for your food and strangely no salt and pepper on tables just a box of each with a spoon on the buffet table but most of all the queuing at the pool bar which at times could be 20 mins even if you just want a glass of water, no help yourself to water and soft drinks you have to queue but if other guests are ordering food you are in for a long wait in the baking hot sun! In the evening was just as bad one barman with queuing barriers to keep guests in line again approx 20 mins to get served and double rounds not allowed! We love a cocktail on holiday but here there's only one choice per day and every day we tried it but was undrinkable very disappointing! We got so fed up with it we ended up going into Playa Blanca most nights and buying soft drinks outside for use during the day which is annoying when you've paid for the convenience of all inclusive so won't be back to this hotel again...More

This was booked as a present for my birthday, never been to this hotel before so was excited when I heard I was heading off to lanzarote. It's defiantly a longish journey on the bus from the airport but worth it. Reception staff are very helpful and friendly, gave us a map and showed us where our rooms were. You have to pay for a safe key but you get your money back when you leave. Rooms are spacious and have a balcony and a single pool in the area for the group of rooms to share. The entertainment was great at the larger pool and I cannot fault the staff at the spa it is â¬10.00 to use but it's warm, lovely bubbles and extremely clean! There is a good variety of food for all tastebuds lol. You don't have far to walk to the little town where all the shops/restaurants are and there is somewhere you can book excursions too. The weather in may wasn't bad just quite windy but I think it always is in lanzarote. This hotel is very family friendly and would be great for couples and family, older couples also. I would defiantly recommend this hotel and will be revisiting at some stage. More
