Quick check in staff very pleasant at desk. Food lots of choice found something at every meal staff in restaurant very good Entertainment....Poor at best kids disco singers dances quizzes. Most of bar staff good just one very rude young barman.. he ran out of the bar shouting at my friend and I stating we could not take drinks to our room! IT'S a hotel! All inclusive! Would I go there again? Probably not...More
Andrew Sandra R,
Excellent three star hotel
Stayed here last month to soak up the winter sunshine. Checked in early evening and it was very quick and efficient however the room I was given wasn't what I had booked. I had requested a room with a balcony and pool view. Went straight back to reception and they resolved this for me. I was given a room in block AB which was great. The rooms are spacious, beds are very comfy and the bathroom was beautiful. Very modern and more like a four star. Rooms were kept very clean. The only slight downside was the toiletries were not replentished. As I always bring my own this wasn't a problem. The restaurant was spacious, clean and a table was always available. I loved the fact that you are escorted to your table and seated. I found the food very good. How much food can you eat on an all inclusive? I t ate 3 meals a day and enjoyed very one of them. The fish was beautifully cooked and always fresh. The food was hot and plentiful with a good selection of dishes and I had no complaints. The pool was cold but I went for a swim and it was lovely. Lots of people were in the pool as after 5 minutes it's fine. The staff were really friendly and helpful and are a credit to themselves and the hotel. It really adds to the holiday experience if the staff are friendly, pleasant and smiling which they were. The only downside was the entertainments and poolside music. The background music at the poolside bar was great because it was just that - background music. However from about 11 - 3 music blared out over the pool area which would have been really appropriate for clubbing in Ibiza. Not really what I wanted whilst trying to relax at the pool. Someone must have complained because it was turned down towards the end of my stay I must say the entertainment was bad. It looked like it was left to 2 young girls to organise. The hotel has a sort of nightclub with a dancfloor, stage, bar and cane tables and chairs Up tp 10pm there was music with lots of children running round the dance floor. The acts I saw included someone bringing snakes and birds on stage followed by a magician who was good. They had an acrobatic dance trio one night and a "crooner" another night. I really think they could vastly improve in this area All in all a good holiday. Not a cheap holiday but an expensive one as I left it late to book. I would definitely go back if I could get a cheaper holiday. Still a very good three star hotelMore
My wife and I went for a short break, cheer in very quickly and staff were polite and helpful. Stayed in block C. Room was clean and spacious with two bedrooms. The beds were two small beds pushed together so not very comfortable. I am 6ft 7 tall though ! Food - food was good everyday with a good selection of different dishes. Chicken, fish, and other meat cooked by the chef which was a nice touch. Drinks are free flowing including tea, coffee, coke , beer and wine etc. The pool area was clean and tidy. Pool was refreshing after a few hours on the sun. As mentioned the beds were unless you managed to grab a blue one but you need to get up early Location wise the hotel was great with a short walk to the beach and shops etc. The only negative o would say was the evening entertainment , I appreciate it was 'out of season' but 50 or so persons sitting in a hall watching music videos on YouTube is not entertainment. Some acts were good but most of the time you sit in a hall having a drink in silence or whilst watching music videos. Even if they had a disco or some music playing for a while. I found this so frustrating, the boys who work behind the bar were fantastic. All the staff are helpful and enthusiastic. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Would I return ? Absolutely! I thought this was a great break from home. I would recommend it to friends and family More
Will go back.
Came home Sunday 12th. Worried a little about the usual rare, ridiculously bad review. Needn't have worried. After a short transfer (less than 30 mins) check-in was very quick and efficient. As lunch was still being served, receptionist suggested leaving our cases, having a meal & then going to our room. Very considerate. Found out immediately that: restaurant was next to reception, beautifully presented, efficient, polite, friendly staff. First & lasting impressions of food: Excellent choice, well prepared (& hot). Staff working constantly & unobtrusively to keep tables & room very tidy. All this & we hadn't got to our room yet! Had asked for a ground floor room in Block A or B. Couldn't have been better, We were allocated the first ground floor room in Block A. 1min. from: reception, pool, pool bar & lounge bar. Room a little dated but very spacious. Cooker, kettle & necessary crockery/cutlery/pans etc. Cleaning staff there every day except Wednesday. No problems with towels/bedding etc. Pool area very good. Unfortunately more blue beds than white ones. White very uncomfortable. Cheap air beds available at shop 5mins. around the corner. Blue Bay could sort this quite easily. Either provide 'toppers' for beds or just replace white beds. Would cost a bit but would make a huge difference. Animation Staff unobtrusive but worked hard. Didn't go to see any of the shows so can't really comment on them. All staff very polite & helpful. Hotel appearance & cleanliness excellent. Drinks (other than spirits) self service. Wine a bit ordinary but everything else perfectly Ok. Glasses in lounge bar/ plastic at pool bar. What else would you want? Overall we had a wonderful 10 night stay. Will definitely go back. Thanks very much BLUE BAY. P.S. Pool is not heated. Very Chilly.More

You get what you pay for
My wife and I just back two weeks ago. The arrival process was smooth, quick and friendly. Rooms as expected. Bathroom partcularly good, walk in shower and plenty of hot water. Why they don't offer double beds I can never understand. Two singles seperately made up and shoved together is not ideal for most people we spoke to. Balcony good view (2nd floor Block B). No roof available so cannot sit out if raining. Wi-fi 30 euros for 2mb two machines for 7 days. Did work well in reception but iffy in all other areas. You can pay for one machine & swop between them without paying for two if you don't want to use them simultaneously. Safe 50 euros approx for two weeks. Meal time pretty repetitive. Breakfast best meal of the day although being a full English person was disappointed with the "bacon"?, sorry but it was more like 90% undercooked fat. There was not much variety for the other meals but could always find something. The fresh fruit was plentiful & tasty. This I think is the reason only 3 star. Had to say location was ideal for us, both mature citizens but able to stroll down to promenade in ten minutes, nice walk along to main beach and town centre a further twenty minutes. Free hotel bus runs on time if you require that option. Bar staff quick, friendly and efficient in fact all staff were. There is a question as to whether this is a no smoking hotel, even though they had smoking with seating area at the pool bar. There were cigarette recepticles outside the main bar but nowhere to sit. We smoked on our balcony as there were no signs to the contrary. Pool, shame nice but very cold so therefor underused, Sun beds were readily available most of the day but if you use the white plastic variety you do need matress, available from shop around the corner. Just remember it is only 3 star.More
