Set high on a cliff-top‚ overlooking the small fishing village of Playa de Santiago‚ the tranquil Jardin Tecina is a delight. Just a short ferry crossing from Tenerife – 30 to 45 minutes – it’s bagged one of the most beautiful locations on this unspoilt island. Resembling a Canarian-style village, it’s a big hotel, but it doesn’t feel it because it’s so spread out. Guest rooms are in low-rise buildings clustered around a lovely pool complex and etched into the terraced hillside. All around are sprawling sub-tropical gardens filled with exotic plants and trees.
In the bedrooms, the décor is simple but smart. Brightly checkered bedspreads with splashes of vivid colour on the curtains offset whitewashed walls and simple, unfussy furniture.
Five swimming pools and a variety of sun terraces in the main village area compete with a sea-level lido at the base of the cliff. There’s a bar and à la carte barbecue-style restaurant down there, too.
On the subject of food, most meals are taken in the main buffet restaurant where you can dine al fresco on the terrace.
If you feel like stepping up the pace a little, the hotel’s busy entertainment team ensures there’s plenty of daytime and evening activities. On site you’ve got tennis and paddle courts. And right beside the hotel there’s a golf course.

There are a limited number of ferries per day from Tenerife to La Gomera - it may be necessary to wait up to 6 hours in Tenerife. The cost of the ferry transfer is only included in the price of your holiday if you are booking a holiday package. If you are booking Accommodation Only, please ensure that there is a ferry suitable for your flight. In the event of delays or adverse weather, we reserve the right to provide accommodation in Tenerife for the night.

All rooms have air-conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, minibar and balcony or terrace. Standard rooms have 2 or 3 beds and a garden or pool view. 3rd bed is a fold-up bed. Rooms are suitable for 3 adults or 2 adults and a child.

Twin rooms with a limited sea view are available between Nov-Apr.
We also offer Sea-view Superior rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities.

a week in early April, with sunshine and warm weather, finished off with the most relaxing of breaks. Hotel, staff and food were above our expectations, pleanty of sunbeds and suitably interesting evening entertainment. All in all a perfect spring break. more on this review
