Hotel Tres Torres

in Santa Eulalia , Ibiza T rating: 4

  • Close to the resort centre
  • Outstanding service
  • Guests return year after year
In a great spot by the marina and town, Tres Torres gives you the best of both worlds.
Sitting next to Santa Eulalia’s marina and right on the promenade, this hotel is in a great spot to explore the pretty town. You’re only footsteps away from harbour-side restaurants and bars. Plus, in town there’s a regular bus service, which is ideal for getting around the island.

In terms of sunbathing, Santa Eulalia's main beach is just a 10-minute walk along the promenade. Closer to home is the hotel’s pool. It’s a decent size, and there’s a separate one for children. The pools are edged with loungers and parasols, plus there’s a snack bar completing the scene. And for more in the way of food, the restaurant serves up hearty buffets.

As for the bedrooms, they’ve had a bit of a makeover. We're talking crisp white walls, teal soft furnishings, and contemporary wall lighting. Plus all rooms come with a balcony and air-conditioning.

Elsewhere, there’s a definite boutique vibe courtesy of the ‘art room’. It’s only a small space, but there’s always an impressive collection of Balearic art. Not only that, but the hotel’s got its own jewellery shop, too.

Your guide to Santa Eulalia, Ibiza

“Smart and cosmopolitan, Santa Eulalia has thriving restaurants, stylish shops and a couple of inviting sandy beaches – no wonder many guests choose to live here all year round.”

On the east coast of Ibiza, Santa Eulalia is the island’s third largest resort, but still manages to move at a relaxing pace – you won’t find loud nightclubs or all night parties here. What you will find is a resort with a certain easy sophistication – great restaurants, art galleries and fashionable boutiques all adding to the mood. During the day, there’s plenty going on along the palm shaded promenade which runs the length of the main beaches. Lined with cafés and restaurants, this is the place for a chat in the sun over a cappuccino or a glass of chilled wine. Down on the broad, sandy, gently shelving beach there are all sorts of watersports to tempt you into the sea. In the evening, you might head for the street affectionately nicknamed ‘Tapas Street’ by the locals – here you can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine at the many good local restaurants, and while away the evening amidst good conversation. The Ramblas is Santa Eulalia’s main square, and this is where you’ll find the famous hippy market every day except Wednesday and Sunday. It’s a great place to buy colourful souvenirs and handmade gifts to take home. Otherwise you might catch a boat trip to a nearby island for a day of fun on the white sand beach, or walk along the coast to Es Cana and catch the ferry back. Perhaps the most memorable view of Santa Eulalia is the one you see as you arrive from Ibiza Town – the imposing 16th century church presiding over the town from the top of the hill – arrive at night and the whole scene is floodlit providing you with a picture postcard memory of this popular resort.

Before going I unfortunately saw a number of reviews which suggested the food and hotel were poor. We visited in August 2010. The room was fairly basic but clean and the bed comfortable with great views across marina and out to sea. Air con is individual... more on this review
