2wentys Max Ibiza

The best-of-both-worlds Puchet hotel pairs a laid-back atmosphere with a location that puts you within striking distance of Ibiza’s party scene.

You’re looking at a really modern set-up at this hotel. Inside, bedrooms are all about white-on-white minimalism, with orange bed runners. Outside, cubic rattan seats are finished with equally bright cushions.

When it comes to its address, this place is right on the money. It occupies a quiet spot in San Antonio, but everything’s still within touching distance – the beach is just five minutes’ walk away, and clubland is about 15.

Great Value For Money

My friend and I booked this hotel as part of the Twentys holiday package with Thompson. It was a last resort to go with a twentys holiday as our preferred choice would have been to stay in Playa D'en Bossa but at the time of booking, we really had no choice. What swayed it for us was this hotel and the reviews we saw on here for it. We were really impressed and the hotel itself didn't disappoint. Although I have given it 4 stars, the hotel itself is average and in a decent condition as can be reasonably expected from any hotel (I have heard some horror stories I.e. - Piscis!) and we didn't get the pool facing room we had requested but instead were facing the pool of the hotel opposite (cruel joke?). What it get's 4 stars for is the friendly staff, it's high standard of cleanliness, facilities and general maintenance. The pool was very clean, animation team good fun, shout out to the pool guy who was great and spotted me a free lounger under an umbrella (badly needed - not a sun worshipper!). That's another thing, the loungers do get reserved (by way of towels) very quickly so get in there early. The breakfast and dinner had a bit of variety but all pretty standard. Nothing really to write home about. Location wise, it worked for us as it wasn't in the thick of it - it was about a 15 minute walk before you reached the centre of town, but it wasn't long before you started coming up to the beach bars and restaurants (Linekers/Itaca/Ibiza Rocks). Having said this, it was a bit of a pain walking back from the bus station after getting the disco bus back from one of the big clubs (3 Euros - good price but beware; they pack 'em in tight! It would seem Spain's regard for health and safety isn't quite like ours!) All in all, I really enjoyed the holiday and if I had to stay in San Antonio again, it would be at this hotel. But in real terms, I'd save and book a bit earlier for a hotel in Bossa.More

Good. Not great... Location good

Good location, took a little while to check in but our room was top notch. Good for people in mid 20s, not good for a family. A lot of English travellers, sometimes quite annoying. (Loud and rowdy) Wouldn't recommend to anyone. But wouldn't advise against staying. Was a interesting experience More

Great hotel for the 20-somethings - not for families

Myself and a friend have stayed at the Hotel Puchet two out of the last three summers, and have come to the conclusion that, for the money, the Puchet is a good hotel. The rooms are of a decent size, the beds are relatively comfortable, and the bathrooms are well facilitated. Our first visit we had an issue with the weak aircon, this was not an issue this year I am happy to say. Aircon and wifi is included in the price, the wifi signal was not great in our room, so we used to spend half an hour in the hotel lobby where the signal strength was much better when checking up with the worlds events. The pool is fantastic, and there are plenty of sunbeds to settle down on if you get down early enough. The pool music is consistent of remixed pop and typical house beats, which is great for those of this musical taste, attracting many reality TV wannabes - plenty of this sort of atmosphere, not really for kids. The bar area is sufficient to sit in the shade with a snack and a drink, the staff are efficient and friendly. There is a games room with table tennis, American and English pool, and a couple of arcade cabinets for entertainment. There is an on-site shop which is very handy, and a Spar five minute walk down the street if you wanted a more varied range of snacks, drinks and accessories. The beach is a 5/10min walk away, and bars like Itacas, Ibiza Rocks Bar, Linekers are a similar distance. My personal gripe with the Puchet is the food. We have only ever experienced breakfasts (going bed 'n' breakfast both times) and more often than not, they have not been of a great standard. The hot options consist of over-cooked fried egg, fake plastic bacon strips, stodgy baked beans and sausages that look like they've come straight out of a jar of frankfurters. They also have a huge selection of sweets including the usual croissants and the like, right down to glazed doughnuts... which were nice, but for breakfast?! We were much happier going across the road to the 50/50 Diner, who put together a proper breakfast, with proper bacon and egg and the works for about 10€. Overall, it's a good hotel for youngsters looking to pre-drink before going out, and laze in the afternoon after a heavy session the night before. Families with their hearts set on Ibiza would be better off elsewhere.More

Matt C,

Great hotel, terrible Reps

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this 2wentys hotel from 25th july for one week. The hotel was very modern, we had a twin room and I was suprised at how lovely it was. The bathroom was particularly nice. However I had bought a new dress and left it on the back of the hotel chair in our room the whole stay and never ended up wearing it as it was too hot for it. My boyfriend said he smelt smoke in the bathroom when we got in one night but i thought nothing of it. When i got home i noticed a big cigarette burn straight through my dress! Guessing the cleaners can smoke in the rooms then as neither me or my boyfriend smoke. I would also like to mention that we never got a welcome card through the door for our welcome meeting and the thomson reps there were terrible. We repeatedly asked for information about our room and how to book trips with them and they said theyd post a booklet under our door everytime and it never happened. Poor service on their behalf. They also never told us when to check out and that left us being late for it and being charged 50 euros for checking out late which im complaining about and trying to claim back. Also, don't use the ATM machine at the nearest spar shop, i only used my card there and it is now being done for fraud as they took nearly 200 euros out my account! But all of that aside, i really enjoyed my experience. Great location, 10-15min walk to the gorgeous beach which is right where all the clubs are like gatecrasher and es paradise. Theres a shop at the hotel which is really well priced for cans of kopperberg. The pool was lovely and looked great. Always got a sun lounger when we wanted. Very clean hotel and enjoyed it apart from the other things mentioned. All in all i would book here again because of how nice the hotel was. Id just keep everything locked in my suitcase and made sure i ask reception for all the information instead of relying on the rubbish reps! Got a good nights sleep aswell even though guests did play loud music in their room, was only woken up once or twice when they were all coming back in but nothing major.More

Lauren B,

Stayed here for a week at the end of June beginning of July. Very impressed with the hotel in general beautiful and modern and a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were big, and complimentary drinks in the fridge were welcome after a long journey! Would stay again!More
