Girls Holidays

We booked 4 days here, first time to Ibiza. Deposit of 60E per room is needed, 6E per day for Aircon with a minimum of 4 days, Free Wifi available in reception otherwise you pay perday for wifi in your room (which we didn't buy). Overall, I was surprisingly happy with this 'hotel'. After going on 18-30 holidays almost 10 years ago, I was dreading staying here, to my surprise it was not loud at night I only heard people in the corridor coming home after a night out - although if you're a light sleeper take ear plugs. The curtains in the room have a black out lining which is brilliant, I still took one of those things you put over your eyes to blackout the room at night, only because my eyes are really sensitive to light! We paid for a standard room in the hotel which came with a fridge, toaster and hob. The best advice I can give is bring your own kettle as there is none and pack noodle boxes / cuppa soups / tea etc in your case along with a cup and your own spoon / fork. I saved so much money by doing this as eating out in IBZ appears to be pretty expensive. Our friends stayed in a stage view room and I wish we would have paid that little bit extra and done the same. Overall they have a separate bedroom with 2 single beds and separate living area with 2 sofa beds - as oppose to our studio room. They has a brilliant view of the stage and could sit on their balcony and enjoy the music and not pay the stupid amounts they charge at the bar for drinks at the stage / pool area as you are not allowed to take drinks down to that area that has not been bought from their bar. The hotel is located in San An by the west end and only 5 min walk to café mambo and 5 min walk to the bus stop to take you into IBZ itself. If you just want a trip to IBZ to go out clubbing then this is the place to be. Overall as a holiday destination, personally I think it's rubbish - beaches are bad and have to go to the harbour and pay for water taxis to different beaches, everything is very expensive, it's actually a very quiet island and everything is really spaced out. It really is a very strange place, if you want to have a beach holiday with great excursions, not pay through the roof and have better weather cut your losses and go to Magaluf & stay in Mallorca Rocks Hotel and do a trip to IBZ while you're there and book in Ibiza Rocks Hotel for 2 nights and visit the big clubs then get the ferry back to Magalluf! Basic hotel but our room was clean, quiet and you could sleep at night - no complaints here!More

What a rip off!

First time in Ibiza rocks as I normally stay in playa den Bossa. You have to pay for air con and youre not aloud to drink your own water by the pool which is essential for a hangover. Our shower was broken, we had to beg the maid twice to clean our room. Our little kitchen was poor equipt with a broken hob. Lights and plug sockets didn't work. Food was over priced and not all great. Avoid this hotel, I highly recommend that you get another apartment elsewhere and only come here for the events. More

Great week with the lads!

Very good hotel for a group of lads/girls. Loud music around the pool all day and the drinks prices are fair, considering its Ibiza. The room was a decent size and the beds were ok, not that we did much sleeping. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was good and we didn't see any trouble. We paid upfront for the air con and we didn't have any issues with it. The staff we're friendly and helpful when you weren't being rude to them! It felt safe with the guards on the door a night and we didn't have any trouble getting in and out of the hotel at all hours. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely go again.More

Much better than expected!!!

I was a bit unsure about arriving at this hotel after reading all the bad reviews.... But I was pleasantly surprised!! On arrival, yes the bus drops you off round the corner from the hotel, but it is a very short walk, and really not a problem (we arrived around midnight). We were a little unsure about leaving our passports overnight, but we picked them up again in the morning, no problem. There is a 60€ deposit which is mentioned on the website! and this was easily returned to us at the end of our stay. My boyfriend and I stayed in a superior stage view room which is highly recommended, it wasn't much more expensive than other rooms, and you got your own private balcony on the 6th floor- perfect for watching the bands!! It was clean when we arrived and was cleaned several times throughout our stay. We were in the room one day when the cleaner arrived and she was very friendly. The room also comes with complimentary air con, which was amazing! There was a small fridge and a hob which was perfect for cooking a small amount of food with- all pots pans and cutlery are included. You have to put money onto your room card to pay for food and drink-which is a little expensive, But the idea is good because you don't have to carry cash about! Money was really easy to put on the card. Staff were friendly and the host team were helpful- we made the effort to say hello, thank you etc in Spanish and the staff seemed to appreciate it! The pool was never too busy, and the pool area was thoroughly cleaned at night! Overall, I can't complain about the hotel! It's not the quietest hotel, but you've come to a party hotel in ibiza- what do people expect?! Slightly overpriced drinks hence the 4* but apart from that, we had a brilliant holiday!!!More

"VIP" experience - rubbish view

I've just come back from a week in ibiza, mainly booked because my favourite band The Kooks were playing. We booked VIP as this was a special occasion. What a massive disappointment! We arrived with our wrist bands, as we were to enter the VIP entrance we were stopped and checked and our wrist bands weren't enough for entry we had to prove and show our online ticket. (Luckily I brought this along Incase). We were then allowed in and got up to the VIP balcony. The balcony was split into two, they wanted an extra 35 euro to enter, where there were tables and stools. Our VIP area was crowded and because of the extra area, view was very limited. Very disappointing. There was no hospitality or anyone really around to make this experience. Only the bar where it cost 25 euro for a single vodka and one pint. If you want my advice, forget VIP and go down and enjoy the gig! The Kooks were amazing, and after a little pushing through we got to the front of the VIP area, well behind the extra area anyways.More
