Hotel Arenal - San Antonio
The Good Lovely location and sea views by the beach. In door pool great for the kids The Bad The hotel is shabby old fashioned with tied looking decor Corridors smelled of stale tobacco and looked dingy with old carpet. They still use door keys in this hotel ! Rooms are big but furniture old and dated, bed was really uncomfortable so had 5 days of restless sleep. They charge you 8 euro extra per night if you request a sea view room ! The pool area is not mopped during the day so floor was always wet. The sun lounger, cushions and tables very dirty Bar staff rude and unfriendly The restaurant Due to the canteen style layout there were long queues to access the food Food choices repetitive by day 3 and menu choices not very well planned. Would you serve meatballs without spaghetti ! Desserts disappointing so many variations of jelly and stale fruit ! Saturday seems to be the best desserts day with a selection of cream cakes that looked better than they tasted. The hotel is 3 star so you get what you pay for so Overall the hotel is ok for a few days stay, as long as you are out most of the time as the entertainment is like a bad night out. Also although they say this is a family friendly hotel there is nothing for the kids to do apart from swim in the pool and the part time kids club coordinator didn't have a clue how to entertain kids.More
We paid for a sea view room and it was worth it. All staff very friendly. Room was spacious with loads of wardrobe space however furnishings a little dated. Bathroom was also spacious and clean but shower over bath not very powerful. Our four year old grandson loved the heated indoor pool. Had a comprehensive bar snack menu at reasonable prices. Restaurant particularly good- having a good choice of food. Waitresses attentive and friendly. A table was allocated for the duration of stay which we thought was a good idea. Would return to this hotel.More

I love this hotel, it sisters the hotel ses savines. The hotel is old fashioned but its very clean and spacious. The public areas are huge.. the pool isn't very good we always used the beach or went else were. Food was always good.. hot and plenty to chose from. There is an indoor pool but it isn't filled in summer. Mint location right on the sea front,, the strip is on the door step. Great for all ages More

We stayed twice this year in june and October. The hotel is spotlessly clean, yes its a little dated but personally i think this gives it character. On reception the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good with a good choice. Bar snacks are available, are good quality and well priced. Bedrooms are basic but very clean and spacious. I found it very quiet and always slept well. I would recommend paying the extra for the sea view. Daytime entertainment is provided by Sara - who is fun and friendly and always has a smile on her face. Evening entertainment is split between the Arenal and its sister hotel approx. 200 mts on the front, not my cup of tea - this is Ibiza after all ! Location is great - right on the front a small 10 min stroll to the Westend and 15 mins to Mambo/café del mar. Overall a great hotel at a reasonable price. Will return soon.More
Perfect base for a girls holiday! Mixture of families and young people in the hotel although it is right next door to linekers etc. However it seems to work okay. Good value for money and did the job for what we wanted. 5 mins to west end/taxi rank and 15 to mambos, serial Ibiza visitor and would definitely stay againMore
