The Sensimar Ibiza Beach Resort is set on the island’s quiet north coast, and looks over a pine-backed sandy beach.
This place has a sleek, contemporary feel. The all-white motif is livened up by neon colour pops, while rooms feature glass-fronted balconies and multi-coloured furnishings.
This pine forest-cocooned property sits on a hill, and steps lead down to sandy S’Arenal Petit Beach. A bonus of the hotel’s beachfront position is the sea views you get from the pool terrace and the restaurant.

A mix of authentic Ibizan dishes and international favourites is on the menu at the hotel restaurant. It's open for breakfast and dinner, with all meals served up buffet-style. There's also a live cooking station, where you can watch your food being cooked to order. Just to let you know, for the evening meals gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers.

Best holiday for a long time
We've just returned from a fantastic seven day break, feeling completed rested and recharged. Firstly, the hotel itself; the photos do not do it justice, every inch is spotless and maintained to the highest standards. It exceeded our expectations and made for an even better week. The beach, which is a stones throw away, has the clearest water I've ever seen, it's well worth buying a snorkel and exploring around the rocks. The buffet restaurants (there are two, one Italian themed for the evening meal) served very good quality food to suit a huge range of tastes. One tip here; the bacon isn't great but we improvised and the chef was happy to crisp it up on the grill. The cocktails each evening got us very merry and the bar tenders don't hold back on the alcohol! Although we were all inclusive, we did dine out one evening and highly recommend Sulu which is just the other side of the beach (don't bother with a starter if you want the paella as it's enormous!) I personally wasn't looking forward to the evening entertainment but all the singers were actually very good and it was a nice way to finish an evening off. My only slightly negative here would be on a Saturday they don't book anyone so it's quite slow; if you arrive then don't be put off as they are very good over the course of the week! We hired a car mid week and drove to Ibiza old town to the docks for lunch (a must do) and back up through the hippy market which was an experience (not one I particularly wish to repeat!) My one and only negative comment of the whole holiday is the beds aren't great. They're on wheels for some reason and every time you turn over the bed moves! This was however completely overshadowed by the fantastic staff, scenery and overall atmosphere and I could not recommend it enough! More
Nice beach front hotel
Just returned from a week in Portinatx, the hotel has four buildings so if you want a pool or beach front room you will need to request one. The beach front pool is very small with only a few beds around it- the other pool is larger but extremely quiet with no pool music playing in the background. The beach can be accessed by stairs down to it which was lovely and convenient. I stayed bed& breakfast and the food was very good with a lot of choice, the staff at the hotel have exceptional service and are a credit to the hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day very well. When we arrived we had single beds instead of a double, our room was quite small also, the beds were extremely uncomfortable which accounted a week of not good sleep. The major thing letting this hotel is the air conditioning - or lack of it. It was blowing out slow warm out which meant many hot nights , I wouldn't stay here again due to this as I was exhausted when I got home with not having a good full night sleep in the heat and hard beds. A few other guest were complaining of the air conditioning also which lets the hotel down.More

disapointed for the money
looked forward to my annual holiday and was let down with a few things. for starters arrived 1pm and told to wait 1,5hrs for our room then if you wanted a sunbed by the poop best way to have 1 is to sleep on it all night as folk were reserving very early in the mornings not very fair. everythings extra like a safe / towels for sun bed/even drinking water if your half board that is. mini bar in fridge looked nice but take note there is a charge aswell . staff in restaurant take your plates away when you hardly get finished very rude. always a lack of orange juice in the morning . rooms not cleaned very good aswell towels we had same for few days . would not go back in a hurry had lots of better breaks at half the price.More
Glad there was a mix up and we never stayed here
Due to a mix up with the hotel I booked and Thomson booking me into another hotel we arrived at sensamar hotel we was sent off for lunch which was not the best the smell of fish was overwhelming the restaurant staff was a little abrupt due to it being the end of the lunch and they was laying tables up for dinner on arrival from the lunch back at reception we was told "there was no booking for you here " we then went onto discovering we are booked into another hotel just a short walk around the bay but due to not knowing the area we asked if a taxi could be booked the look the man on reception gave us was completely unacceptable all I can say on this is we was absolutely disgusted with the welcome we receivedMore
Good holiday but a few comments. Lack of storage space in our suite - no drawers and nowhere to hang long clothes. Had to go to reception a few times for tea/coffee etc. Had no trouble getting sun loungers by the pool or on the grass bank. Food was available at the pool bar but not part off the all-inclusive, and some of the drinks were not part of the all-inclusive which seemed a little strange. Also maybe the pool bar could be open later in the evening for somewhere quiet to sit with a drink? Food was good although putting an Italian flag on a table and serving pizza and pasta does not really make a restaurant Italian! Plenty of choice for all meals. We were all-inclusive but still went out and found the local bars/restaurants very good in general. Had a lovely meal in the Zulu Lounge, not so good in La Ciguena and very good in Es Puet Blanc were we spent a few evenings and were treated really well. Perhaps the hotel could come to some arrangement with the people on the beach renting the sunbeds and shades out - 21 euros a day for two sunbeds and one shade soon adds up. Went out on a couple of trips - not impressed with the Treasures and Trinkets trip - not long enough in Ibiza town and too long at the Hippy Market. Loved the catamaran sunset trip - had a great time even when the weather changed on the way back! Thomson staff were helpful but there was no-one around on our last day to make sure all was ok. All in all we had a good time and would recommend the hotel and the area.More
