We visited this hotel in early June this year. The hotel has different options ie: room only right through to all inclusive. We went all inclusive, but never received what we paid for. We were only allowed to use the restaurant for breakfast and nothing else, no explanation as to why. We had to eat at the snack bar by the pool, lunch times and evenings. The saving grace of this was the food was freshly cooked to order. Sometimes we waited up to an hour for our food. The entertainment at night if you could call it that was outside in the snack bar area. The pool was also here with no barriers to protect children or anyone else from falling in day or night. The staff were friendly enough. The maintenance team were brilliant so were the bar staff. Could have done with more staff though. The entertainment team all one of them, then after two days three of them did their best with what they had. The lifts held at most 3 people four at a push. The hotel decided one afternoon evening to have the carpets cleaned in the foyer and on the only set of stairs going to the snack bar and bar area, this meant everyone had to queue to use the lift. In the morning we found they had laid white sheets on the carpets and stairs, not taped down just loose. This was extremely dangerous as the sheets kept rucking up and people kept tripping on them. The rooms were clean and minimally furnished. The hall ways and furnishings in public areas were very tired and tatty looking. Overall I would not call this a four staff hotel, I would only give it a three star at best. If you were room only or anything under all inclusive, I would say don't eat there it was a lot cheaper elsewhere, so were the drinks. This hotel to us was not worth what we paid and we would not go back again or recommend it to anyone else.More
Have just come back from holiday from this hotel Staff are very hard working under very difficult conditions.Elias Adriana&Bea worked very hard to keep both children and Adults well entertained Also bar staff were brilliant. The ONE thing that lets hotel down is the eating arrangements, and waiting time for food.More

Just back from a week in this hotel. Can't fault it in anyway. The entertainers beatriz adriana and elias give my children a great holiday. Definitely best holiday and recommend it to anyone. Local to beach and shops and bars. More
Wouldn't go back
We booked through Thomson for a week at the Atlantic all inclusive. We have been to Ibiza before but now we have a small baby we decided to visit Es Canar as it was meant to be good for families. It wasn't a dear holiday so we knew it wasn't going to be like some of the 5* couples holidays we have been on but the food really let the hotel down. It's an 'a la carte' all inclusive which meant lunch and dinner were served in the snack bar by the pool with a 2 hour wait somedays. I've seen the hotel comment on here that it's best not to eat during busy hours but we weren't hungry at 11 or 3 when it was quiet. There was only one chef and he couldn't cope with the demand. I'm breast feeding and to wait 2 hours when you are hungry from feeding your child is a crazy amount of time. Sometimes I left the pool and got a cereal bar from our room as the wait was too long....you don't expect this from an all inclusive service. The food on the snack menu was mostly burgers, pizza etc, which is fine for a snack in the day but we didn't want this for our evening meal too. There was no vegetables or Spanish dishes to try. Breakfast was the only meal in the restaurant and that was really limited and greasy and we only ate here the first day. We ended up eating out for most of our meals. The queue for drinks/ to order food was also really long. The staff were really friendly and you could see they were doing their best, there just wasn't enough of them for the size of the hotel. The facilities in the room were good with a fridge, microwave and kettle which was good for preparing bottles for the little one. The maids kept the room clean and shower gels etc were provided whereas other places in Ibiza haven't provided this on previous trips. We had two single beds that we pushed together and a travel cot for our little one. We didn't sleep very well because the mattresses were really uncomfortable. Our welcome meeting was cancelled as 22 people were complaining about the food and we are getting our money back for the difference between self catering and all inclusive which is a good job as we are out anyway. Okay first holiday as a family because the weather was great but we won't be returning to the hotel or Es Canar.More
Lovely Clean Hotel, Great Staff, shame about the All Inclusive package
This is a lovely hotel to stay in, staff are both helpful and friendly, close to beach, bars and restaurants, ideal location. A special mention to the Animation Team Elias, Adriana and Bea who do a fantastic job and work tirelessly to entertain not only the children but also the adults as well. Also, Javi and all the bar staff who do a fantastic job. The only negative I have about the hotel, which sadly lets it down is the all-inclusive package. Breakfast is provided on an all inclusive basis, where a selection of food is laid out to choose from, so far so good. The all inclusive package then changes course for lunch and dinner, as the meals provided are from a set pool bar menu which then needs to be ordered and cooked. The wait for meals from ordering to being served at the table can take some time, as the kitchen which is next to the pool bar is very small. This problem is not the staff's fault as there was sometimes only one chef cooking, who had to cater for everyone. An example of how bad this can get is having ordered a meal for myself, my wife and two grandchildren, and having been one of only four families to order food, we then waited an hour and a half for it to arrive at the table. In the end, after complaining to the rep we were sent to another hotel for our remaining evening meals, which was a ten-minute walk away, not what you would expect to do having booked an all inclusive package in one hotel, then having to go to another to get what you had expected when you booked your holiday.. I believe that the Hotel really needs to address this issue and either provide what most people believe they will get from an all inclusive package or drop it completely, as it will not bode well when the complaints about this spread. It is a great shame because of this, as the hotel ticks almost all the boxes in a positive way on so many levels, apart from the advertised all-inclusive. Would I visit again? Yes if they sort the all inclusive issue out, sadly not if they don't.More
