Looking out over a marina and the beach, these modern apartments know a thing or two about great views. Pretty panoramas are dished up at the palm-fringed pool and al fresco snack bar, as well as from the room balconies and terraces.
It’s the location that scores top marks here. Overlooking the marina and just a five-minute walk from the beach, these apartments offer up impressive sea views. A ten-minute walk along the coast, meanwhile, takes you to the heart of lively Puerto Rico. It’s packed with shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs.
Setting aside, the swimming pool is noteworthy. It’s the shape of a triangle and is set facing the marina, which means you can watch the boats bob in and out of the harbour while you relax on the sun terrace or by the snack bar. What’s more, the whole set-up is fringed by palm trees and well-kept lawns, there’s a real air of privacy.
As for the apartments, they’ve recently been renovated so everything’s up to date. Décor is fresh and classic – think whitewashed walls, tiled floors and a mix of wooden and wicker furniture. They all come with satellite TVs and well-equipped kitchens, too, as well as sea or harbour-facing balconies or terraces.
Lastly, when you don’t fancy cooking, the hotel’s pool bar serves up snacks like toasties, omelettes and burgers throughout the day. For proper meals, head down to the marina for tapas and fresh seafood on the harbourside terraces. Or, for more in the way of eateries and after-dinner entertainment, make for Puerto Rico and make a night of it.

We moved to this hotel after originally booking a hotel nearby and having to pay for an alternative as it was atrocious! We booked on-line the day before and was told we could check in any time after 2.30pm although when we got there, the reception was closed until 4pm so had to wait around which wasn't a massive problem as there was a bar/restaurant right next to reception and the staff were very welcoming. Once reception opened, we found the guy on reception to be very helpful and he clearly directed us to our room. We was elated when we got to the room. It was clean, fresh, modern and like a palace compared to the dive we'd had to move from! We was on the 4th floor and in the past have always experienced problems with lifts in hotels but this was absolutely not a problem here. The view of the marina and beach was lovely and the self catering facilities were the best we've ever had including microwave, coffee maker, toaster, toastee maker and much more. Towels and beds were changed every other day and apartment cleaned thoroughly. The pool was a decent size and always sun beds available. The main commercial shopping centre was within walking distance with everything under one roof and nice restaurants around the marina and along the sea front. I would definitely recommend this hotel to families as was very family orientated. Really enjoyed our stay hereMore

Good value for money.
This holiday was great, the views from my apartment were amazing, the beach and the marina. The staff were OK and the place was very clean and easily accessible to lots of different restaurants. Taj palace is a must ,this is by the pool bar, curry is amazing.
Always plenty of sunbeds available, evern if you go to the beach in the morning ,you can still get a sunbed in the afternoon.More

With these apartments you get what you pay for there are pros and cons.
Rooms - When we arrived we had two apartments booked 145-147 me and my boyfriend went into 145 and the smell of the room was horrible it smelt like someone had been smoking in the room and that no fresh air. We went to reception and was just given some spray for the room which if anything just masked the smell with citrus. We swapped rooms with my boyfriends parents as they were happy to just air the room and put up with the smell. Not the best start although the rooms were clean enough when we arrived they were not cleaned very well by the cleaners the floors were never swept just cleaned with dirty water and the towels were rarely changed. We were next door to locals and were woken at 8.00 in the morning to them playing music with the doors all open although we did complain and never had another problem we wouldn't have minded the music but 8.00 in the morning on holiday wasn't something we wanted to be woken up by. The apartments themselves are in a great location they are right near the beach and only a 10 minute walk to the centre or a taxi journey of around 3 euros. I would highly recommend the Taj palace as the food is lovely and so are the staff had to wait one night for around a hour as it was so busy but was given free ice cream. I don't eat Indian but they cater for everyone I had pasta off the kids menu but in a adults portion and it was lovely. We ate here 3 nights out of 14 and every time the food was lovely and it is reasonably priced. Would also recommend the bar next to the Indian the staff are great, friendly and drinks are reasonably priced. The greedy pig is also great for food and again the staff are lovely. Would highly recommend the dolphin excursion with Thomson we saw loads of dolphins and they came right near the boat it was a amazing experience. If your looking for a base for your holiday and nothing more then these apartments are probably for you as you get what you pay for they are in a great location although could be made so much more better with some work done to the rooms. If you stay here hire a fan we didn't and were so hot as windows in the bedroom are huge and didn't feel comfy leaving them open all night. Id also say get a safe two days before we left someone had some money taken from there rooms. We had a lovely holiday although wouldn't return as we feel due to previous places we have stayed you can stay in apartments that are nicer and cleaner for the same price.More

Great value for money.
Just back from a two week stay here. Was apprehensive about the holiday before we left due to reviews here but can say that we really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious fully equipped with all we needed. The cleaners came in most days, fresh towels almost every day. Never had a problem getting a sunbed at the pool, or a comfy mattress for the sunbed either. Staff all pleasant and willing to help particularly Nigel in tanishq bar and all the staff in taj palace, particularly 'mr funny' who my kids nicknamed. Excellent location with beautiful views across the beach and harbour from our room..only suggestions for improvement that I would make would be to include wifi in the rooms or at least around the pool, and some kind of family entertainment for the evenings. Would go back :) More
Don't stay here
We booked two apartments here for one week in August. The most appalling conditions ever and positively dangerous. Apartment 334 had no locks on outside doors and a dangerous lamp in the lounge area. It came apart revealing the electrical contacts!!! Filthy shower and taped over holes in the outside bathroom wall. Apartment 245 was even worse!! All fridge racks were rusty and unfit for use, broken cupboard door handles fixed with plumbers tape! Bare wires hanging out of a socket in the hallway, again a filthy shower with broken doors and waste pipe. Actual holes in the bathroom wall where some fittings had been removed and left open. We stayed 2 nights before we could be moved elsewhere. For £1300 for each room for 2 people it was definitely nowhere near worth the money. Towels nor sheets changed at all in a week. Their saving grace is location and the pool, albeit crowded by locals walking in off the street.More
