Marina Suites

Just a stone's throw from the beach and moments from the marina, this good-looking hotel is in a first-class spot. Sea views come courtesy of the huge pool area and modern apartments. Meanwhile, the buffet restaurant lays on international theme nights.

This place is the epitome of contemporary chic. Think clean lines, big windows and fresh white walls, all bordered by rows of exotic palms. And its location is just as impressive. Pulled up against Puerto Rico’s stylish marina and just footsteps from the beach, it’s surrounded by great scenery and restaurants. Plus, when you want to explore Puerto Rico itself, the town centre is just a ten-minute walk away.

If you’re staying put, meanwhile, there’s a fantastic pool scene at the hotel. It’s a huge sea-facing rectangular number framed by a wide sun terrace. Pull up a lounger and relax here or grab a table at the poolside bar and order a spot of lunch – every dish comes with a side-order of sea views.

Head inside, meanwhile, and the laidback theme continues. All the suites come with a view of the sea or marina, plus a roomy balcony or terrace from which to enjoy it. You’ll get a mini kitchen, too, complete with all the essentials – including the all-important microwave and coffeemaker. Factor in a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofa-bed and there’s plenty of space to spread out. In-room extras like air-conditioning and satellite TV complete the picture.

On the food front, there's the buffet eatery offering a mix of international favourites, regional specialities. For an extra special dining experience, check out the regular theme nights. We’re talking flavoursome evenings courtesy of Mexico, China and Spain..

Great time no need for all inclusive hotels!

Just got back from a great holiday, we were a party of 4 , 2 adults ,2 teenagers . We were on a bed and breakfast bases which worked out well as we decided before we booked we wanted to dine out in the evening. The hotel offers halfboard which also has a dine out option in several very good restaurants one of which is number 1 on tripadvisor! It costs 23 euros for adults and 1/2 that for children per day but might be less if you upgrade from b/b . You receive a drink ,starter, main and deseart. If we had known earlier we may have booked this as great options for a week and a great idea if you don't want that self service feel of a hotel buffet ,allthough it looked good! An idea for the hotel would be to email you before hand informing you of this , as we think it's that good of an option. Hotel was very clean and staff very pleasant. No problem getting Sunbeds but is a little cramped, no problem though.. Sometimes when your a family you try the all inclusive option like we have in the past .its a refreshing change to enjoy great branded drinks served correctly!not just chucked at you!!! I don't feel we spent much more money for a far greater experience! Shows at night were good/ ok! Views amazing! Room and pool very good. Free wi/fi Glass boat trip to morgan was worth doing as leaves virtually right outside hotel! One last note the hotel provided with a free room on day of departure to freshen up , this was free of charge , just have to book a time slot.More

I travelled with my daughter in September to Marina Suites for our annual hols. From arrival to end we had the most fantastic holiday ever! We stayed in room 418 and had a wonderful view of the marina. Although we went self catering we did have a few lunches at the hotel, they were beautiful & very well presented. The pool area was wonderful & we never struggled to get a sunbed, even at 11 a.m Rooms were immaculate, only down side was lack of bath towels. The daughter has long hair & the hand towels we not big enough to wrap round. Staff friendly & very helpful in all areas. We also treated ourselves to a couple of massages (highly recommended) In all the years we have been travelling this is the only hotel I would definitely return to & are hoping to do just that next year. Would I recommend this hotel??? NO!! Only because I want to keep it all to myself :) Book it now, you will not regret it.More

Lovely hotel, perfect for our needs.

We stayed here for 3 nights before going on to our timeshare resort. We were lucky and ended up with a room with a Marina view, rather than a pool view, which was better for us. We like the peace, so to watch the boats during the day, and the lights at night, was preferable to the noise and view we would have got with a poolside room. The room had everything we needed and was immaculately clean. The only improvement I can suggest is perhaps a mirror light in the bedroom as it is quite dark to see clothes and to put on make up. The breakfast was amazing, such a variety of choice, and all good quality food. The restaurant staff were very polite friendly and efficient. We did not intend to eat lunch here, but we smelled paella, and when we looked, we saw a very competent chef, cooking the most amazingly colourful food in a giant skillet, in front of the diners. Reasonably priced at 8Euros with a free coke, we just could not say no!! It was the best I have tasted. The thing I appreciated the most was the quiet areas. Although this is a family hotel, that provides plenty for young kids, there were lovely places tucked away, where adults could relax in peace- like the decking in front of the pool, looking directly out to sea. Just one suggestion here, and I know there are signs up that people seem to ignore, but I couldn't use either Jacuzzi/whirlpool, because there always seemed to be little children in it, squealing and splashing- even parents using it as a training pool for their babies! I would have liked to have been able to use these facilities, but didn't feel able to use them to relax as intended, without being regarded as a spoilsport. I don't feel there should be a charge for pool towels- a deposit, yes, maybe a higher deposit, so your costs are covered should they go missing, but it seems a bit unfair to make a charge AND a deposit to me, and I have never experienced that in any other hotels that I have stayed in. I loved the big balcony, and was able to do my exercises on it each morning overlooking the harbour. Very well stocked bar too, we enjoyed a drink in there. Didn't use the kitchen facilities in the suite, but it looked adequately stocked and was easily cut off from the sofa bed in the living room, by shutting the door, and it just looked like a big cupboard- very neat. One thing though, and if I had stayed any longer, I would have had to ask for help, because I couldn't get our aircon to work, and it was quite hot at night. Apart from that though, the beds were quite comfy, and we enjoyed relaxing here. I enjoyed listening to the skincare expert poolside, and I found what she had to say very helpful. More

Excellent hotel and superb accommodation

My husband and I with our 2year old have just returned from 7 nights at the gorgeous Marina Suites. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean, the breakfast and dinner was wonderful very fresh and lots of choice and variety. They cater for children very well indeed with ikea cutlery and plates etc. the kids club is excellent our little boy loved "Alejandro". The pool is beautiful and we had a fabulous massage with therapist (would highly recommend) We stayed on the 8th floor marina side as my husband requested this directly with the hotel and this was honoured. We were so grateful for this and The view was magnificent we could see the whole coast line of Puerto Rico and our little boy loved watching all the boats! Customer service by all staff at the hotel is second to none they really cannot do enough and they all work hard to make your holiday a great one. I'm a long haul flight attendant so I know "great customer service" and stay in many hotels worldwide and consider myself quite a picky critic but I can't fault this hotel and I'm sure we will return here. Suggestions to improve would be.... 1. A light over the dressing table 2. Another plug socket in the bedroom so you can both charge your phone or iPad 3. Facial tissues in the bathroom would be a nice touch. Thank you Marina Suites for a fabulous relaxing holiday!More
