The seafront infinity pool turns heads at this hotel, and the centre of Puerto Rico is a short stroll away.
Just a stone's throw from the beach and moments from Puerto Rico’s stylish marina, this hotel is in a first-class spot. It’s having a smart new look in time for July 2015 – the buffet restaurant, pool area and rooms will be modernised and refreshed.
All the suites come with a view of the sea or marina, plus a roomy balcony or terrace from which to enjoy it. You’ll get a mini kitchen, complete with all the essentials – including a microwave and coffeemaker. Factor in a separate bedroom and a living area with a sofa-bed and there’s plenty of space to spread out.
The main buffet restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch and doubles up as a pool bar for drinks and snacks until 6pm. Breakfast is included if you are staying on a half-board or bed and breakfast basis. Dietary requirements can be catered for with advanced warning given to the chefs. Early breakfasts and late dinners can be arranged if you're venturing out for the day.
These select 1-bedroom apartments with a contemporary design and soft furnishings can sleep up to four. They come with twin beds and a double sofa-bed. Stayed here for two weeks . Fine hotel very clean . We stayed at a quiet time and parking was no problem but I reckon it might be at busy periods . Restaurant not fantastic but plenty of decent places to eat around . Overlooks the marina . The lifts are not great . Slow and prone to getting stuck . We had to be rescued when it broke down between floors . Overall we would recommend the hotel .More

Excellent location, helpful & courteous staff
Just back 20th April from our 1st visit to Gran Can. Fab! Of course great weather, and Euro exchange rate making meals relatively cheap, were helpful contributors, but cleanliness both at hotel & around tourist towns & beaches also made this a great holiday.More

great holiday in a good hotel
We are just back from a week stay at this hotel. My second time to Gran Canaria & I would highly recommend going this time of year if you want to avoid the crowds & you want the sun but not too hot. It is a 40 minute transfer from airport.
The suite was big with a nice balcony with marina view. We were on the 8th floor & there were renovations going on on the 9th, nothing too heavy but they did start at 8am (it would seem that they put the Brits on the 8th floor as they are less likely to complain). A special mention for Alex on reception as he gave us a warm welcome & the blond girl that serviced our room most days. We only really used the hotel as a base as we were out every day so cannot really comment on the facilities but everywhere looked clean & well kept.
There are a number of restaurants/bars just the other side of the marina (2 minutes on foot).
There are a couple of things they could improve on and they would be not to charge the 4 euros per day for the safe hire, this is the first hotel I have stayed in where you have to pay for this service. Also by the time we arrived and dropped our cases in the room the super markets were closed so tea/coffee & milk, just enough for a morning cuppa, I think this is expected by most & a nice touch.
I read in a previous review that this hotel charges 20 euro for pool towel hire for the week but I think it needs to be pointed out that this is a deposit which is returned on departure so not actually a charge unless the towel is lost.
To conclude....... A very enjoyable holiday in a nice hotel and we would definitely return.More

Nice stay despite renovation noise, HOTEL IS CLOSING in May 2105 for refurbishment
There are lots of good reviews for this hotel, but the important thing at the moment is that it is being refurbished.
We had a lots of Noise from the 9 th floor where the work has already started, also people who were booked to stay at this hotel have arrived and been told the Marina Suites are closing and moved to Marina Bayviews hotel, which has lots of Steps, a number of people have had an upsetting start to there holiday and did not find out until arrival.
Guest relations were very supportive and understanding, but we would hate to turn up and be moved to another hotel. i am sure it will be lovely when the work is done and staff give excellent service, pool is lovely.More
If you only have 1 break this year you got to stay here! Great choice!
