Lovely Hotel with great staff and terrific food
We stayed here the 1st week of March 2017 to get our 1st taste of some Winter sun, and had a lovely time. We had apartment 811 on L8 (sound high but reception is actually on L4 and the 3 lifts are pretty fast), and it looked like it had recently had an overhaul with new paintwork, tiling and sanitaryware. The bedroom was generously sized with a fridge and decent balcony overlooking the pool, there was a separate (small) dressing room, and the bathroom had a powerful shower with a large step in shower-tray. We were half-board and just could not fault anything we had at Breakfast or in the evening. The choice and quality were amazing. There was also a bar where they laid on some pretty good (free) entertainment every evening. And last of all the staff were really helpful and friendly making our stay there an absolute pleasure from the minute we arrived until the minute we left.More
We stayed at the Seaside Sandy beach from the 9th until the 16th March. We have stayed at this hotel approx ten times now and being honest we have thought about trying a different hotel but have always given it another chance. We are so glad we gave it another chance again.... There is a noticeable difference in a few things that made our stay this time absolutely perfect... We booked the taxi pick up from the airport direct to the hotel, which was pure luxury and enabled a speedy journey to the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with a big smile from the bubbly receptionist and the cheery porter, who served us with a glass of cava each, and then quickly delivered our luggage to our room on the 9th floor. As expected, our room was immaculately clean and presentable, with a lovely balcony that got the afternoon / evening sun. We booked the roof terrace on the 11th floor for three days and found this to be great value for money. We have now used both the 10th and 11th floor terraces and would recommend the 10th floor for the reason that there is a better wind barrier, but both have fab Jacuzzis etc. What made us extremely happy was the staff. Ursula ran the restaurant with her normal efficient methods and her management team were also top class. The waiting staff were all excellent and were all cheery and so very helpful throughout the week, so thanks to Eva, Christian and Rachel. More thanks to Pepe, Fatima, Pacho, Luis, Carrona, Vicky and many more. You are all a credit to the hotel. This time the entertainment was ok. In a week there were two quizzes'. Great if you like a quiz, but as an alternative there was a musician at the poolside bar, so no complaints. One change that has been implemented is the no smoking rule at the restaurant bar during dining times in the evening. In the past there was a lot of smoke but again definitely an improvement. Will we be back? 100% yes and keep up the good work....More

Reasonable hote. There for a week all inclusive. Room was lovely, fabulous shower ! Kettle in the room but if you want tea/ coffee you had to fill in a form at reception and then wait for it to be brought to your room, so couldn't be bothered with the faffing about. Meals were good but towards the end of the week got very repetitive and boring. Peopl tended to sit in the dining area (outside) about 15 minutes before it actually opened for eating ( to bag their table....we did that too). Dress code in the evening left a few things to be desired as we saw people in short shorts and even a sleeveless t shirt ( males are supposed to wear trousers that cover their knees and no sleeveless shirt. We did comment on this to the male restaraunt manager who basically claimed we were talking a load of rubbish. Dining tables were rather crowded together and smokers were sat near to non smokers so that wasn't good. A big gripe as well for me was that the room maid would keep reorganising the stuff we had in the bathroom. Toothbrushes were taken out of the glasses left their for use and balanced on TOP of them. Now come on...this is supposed to be our home for a week and it certainly was never left in a tip by us. It was really irritating. Trips (2) were quite boring .we were given details of the places we were going to visit at the beginning of the tour in the bus and then basically left to find our way round. The rep didn't mention about the VIP facility at the airport. Luckily my husband had already done that before we left home. It's very nice at the lounge. You are in peace and quiet, there are things to eat and drinks alcoholic and non alcoholic. It's a bit pricey about 52 euros but for us it suited us down to the ground.More
Fabulous hotel and location
We went went to Gran Canaria for a week in March 2017 for a rest from work and wasn't expecting to much. How we were wrong. Weather 29-33 degrees. The hotel was spotless, great location for beach and town, the food was fantastic and so much variety to choose from. There is an inside and outside areas for the restaurant. A small part of the outside allows smoking but does not affect inside or the non smoking outside area. The room we had was perfect, lovely shower, separate walk in wardrobe so your clothes, towels and cases so they don't clutter the main room. The balcony with table and chairs was perfect for late afternoon sun. Flat screen TV with lots of English channels and you can connect iPad if you wanted to watch a film. Local super market next to hotel if you wanted any extra snacks, papers, sun lotion, water, etc. Light entertainment as it is a smaller hotel and games area. No staff member pressures you to join in, you have to go and sign up yourself if you want to which is perfect when you want to relax and just read or listen to your music. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to assist you. They are smart in spotless uniforms. Easy access with lifts, ramps and stairs. You must book the private roof jacuzzi in advance. We were lucky to get one day on the off chance. For â¬50 you get a private roof area with key, sun loungers, glass wind screen, table and chairs, fridge, shower and large jacuzzi from 10 am to 10 pm. A staff member comes up about 12 noon with your bowl of fruit and a bottle of sparkling wine. Views over town and sea whilst in the jacuzzi with the moon out. Would have booked it all week, it was that good. Wifi in your room and all over hotel was superb. A perfect holiday only wished I booked longer. We are going back later this year. For those who complain about no tea or coffee in the room, someone smoked outside etc need to realise they are on holiday and not at home. Those people should stay at home or find a hotel with a tea bag in the room or just buy one.(the kettle is there) You will never please everyone but for us an English couple, non smokers, it was a perfect holiday and highly recommend this hotel.More
Great food and location
The food is very good, lots of choice and variety. The tables are a bit too close together but it wasn't a big problem. Most of the dining is outside. Sat inside a couple of occasions and it could be tricky to attract a waiters attention to get some drinks. Room was decent size andf clean with good enough wifi. People have compalined about the mattress but I was fine with it. I would recommend staying half board rather than all inclusive unless you get a good deal. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance with well priced drinks and meals and the hotel evening entertainment area is a bit soulless and the entertainment nothing special. Most evenings we went to the beach bars (need a light jacket early March) which is 5 mins away or the Yumbo Centre which is an uphill 10 mins walk. There is a back entrance from the hotel to the beach which avoids a lot of the steps, This can be found on the second floor by walking through the restaurant. Overall a very pleasnt stay and recommend.More
