The Marieta Hotel comes with stylish décor, bright rooms, and an ideal location – it's sandwiched between the shops and bars of Playa Del Ingles and a sandy beach.
The adults-only Marieta Hotel has been recently refurbished, and you’ll see lots of fresh touches, including a rooftop chill-out zone with panoramic views, and a poolside bar.
The hotel’s bars are popular with TripAdvisor guests, especially for their cocktails. And if you're not ready to call it a day after drinks at the hotel, Playa del Ingles’ best nightspots are just a five-minute cab ride away. It’s only a couple of minutes’ walk to the beach, too.

Looks can be deceiving - MUST READ
MUST READ REVIEW!!! First things first, this was not the hotel we originally booked (as I have read on many reviews). We booked the Labranda Bronze Playa round the corner and arrived to be told there was no room for us. We were told to walk round (with our cases and bags) and check in to the Marieta. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean, modern and facilities are good. We asked if our room would be a pool view as that is originally what we had booked at the Bronze Playa and were told they did not offer any pool view rooms and if we wanted a sea view we would have to pay extra. We then found out that they did infact have pool view rooms, LIE NUMBER 1 of our holiday. Food in the hotel was always cooked well, however was very repetitive and appeared to feature fish, fish and yet more fish. We stayed for 11 days and it was day 7 before there was any chicken on offer. We always managed to find something to eat however it was often just chips, pizza and bread. The pool bar and lounge bar were very understaffed, with long queues for drinks throughout the day and into the evening. Often at the pool bar there would be 2 staff members on with only one serving and the other standing doing absolutely nothing watching the queues getting longer and longer. All inclusive drinks were good, with some branded drinks being included but it is best to get two drinks at a time to avoid the long queues at night. The rooftop bar is a beautiful setting and offers all inclusive drinks and snacks up until 6pm. It really is a pity that the rooftop bar is not included in all inclusive in the evenings (possibly at a small supplement charge) because it has a stage which could easily be used to accommodate much better evening entertainment than is on offer downstairs. The most disappointing part of the holiday for us was an incident involving staff members and a pair of very expensive Lacoste sunglasses. My partner accidently left his sunglasses sitting on the table at breakfast one morning. At dinner that evening we were approached by a young Dutch couple to say they had handed in his Lacoste sunglasses (describing them perfectly) to the reception desk. When we went to reception desk staff members denied all knowledge of the sunglasses being handed in. We then returned to the Dutch couple who were shocked at the response from reception and who agreed to come back to the reception desk with us. We were passed from staff member to staff member and eventually spoke to the PR Manager who basically told us that there was nothing she could do and that she trusted her staff and that was it. The Dutch couple were very annoyed that they had handed them in and the reception staff were denying ANY sunglasses having been handed in. It was clear to us that someone had taken the sunglasses (after all they don't just grow legs and walk away from the reception desk). Now ask yourself this, if the Dutch couple had themselves taken them or had not handed them into reception WHY ON EARTH would they approach us to tell us they had? But yet the staff and PR manager made us all out to be liars. After this incident in the hotel we totally lost trust in the hotel and we were treated very differently with staff members looking down their noses at us and trying to get rid of us with any enquiries we had. For example we asked one male reception staff member if he could check what was happening with our transfers for returning home (since we had been moved hotel and our transfer was booked from the Bronze Playa). The staff member turned away from me and spoke to my partner to say that our transfer would know and would get us out the front and then returned to his computer. We then found out the next day that our transfer had NO IDEA that we were at a different hotel and had to get another, more helpful staff member to phone and change it for us. We would definitely not return to this hotel as it does not appear that customer satisfaction is important at all.More

I first have to point out that was not the hotel we originally booked, but due to overrunning work on our hotel we were offered this as an alternative, and I am so glad we did. first of all its adults only, so no kids, if you need more convincing than that the hotel was nice and clean, the staff were friendly but not in your face. drinks were good with some branded spirits included, true there is a queue at the bar in the evenings but this is the case in every all-inclusive hotel I have stayed in. The food was nice, again it is like most all-inclusive places but we managed to find something to eat every night and we are both very fussy eaters, and it was always well cooked. The beds in the room were the most comfortable beds I have ever had on holiday. The only complaint we had about the room was the glass door from the bathroom allowed light in from the bathroom window which resulted in a couple of early morning wake ups, but this was soon rectified by putting a towel of the shower door and the bathroom door. The biggest plus for me was the roof terrace, there was a multitude of sun loungers and a lovely bar which also did snacks. and the Balinese beds which could be hired for €10 a day were so comfortable. The evening entertainment wasn't great but passed the evening, but if you don't like what is on offer there are plenty of Irish bars nearby which have entertainment on offer The only downside was the people trying to find something to complain about. Loved the hotel would go again.More
When we arrived at the hotel we were promptly checked in and found we had been allocated a room on 3rd floor overlooking the pool and street but found there was a big bonus as the balcony was very large and overlooked the sea also.(room 301). We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and spacious and a nice touch was the chilled bottle of sparking wine in the room fridge. Having read previous reviews about shower leaking we found yes the shower door did leak but this was resolved to some extent by running the shower a little slower than full on as the water pressure in the hotel is very good. Following speaking to reception we were provided with extra towels to place on the floor of the bathroom to reduce the risk of slipping on the wet floor and found this was a big help. The food in the restaurant was excellent with a good choice as every sitting, if you can't find something to your liking then you must be a very fussy eater. As for the bar service - by the pool was very good but we did have one occasion were we were refused one drink - I like a small whisky in my mid morning coffee and when my partner when't the bar and asked for a coffee a small whisky and a diet coke she was informed that she could only have 2 drinks at a time and the coffee and whisky was 2 drinks, however there are ways round this silly rule they have if you just think about what your asking for or make 2 trips to the bar. This rule applied to the other bar in the hotel which caused massive ques in the evenings. We found that the Chill out Bar on the roof top was very nice but not part of the all inclusive where you had to pay for drinks, hey you only holiday a couple of times a year so why not, we used the Chill out bar most nights and were happy to pay as the ambience was real good and made for a relaxing after dinner drink. Varied entertainment was provided most nights although we did not see most of it as the location of the hotel is so close to the promenade that we preferred to enjoy a stroll in the evening. Sun beds and umbrellas were always plentiful whether you preferred the main pool or sunroof ,we chose the main pool as we like to swim and one of the highlights were the water aerobics with Monica which my partner enjoyed everyday. the location of the hotel is excellent and close to everything we wanted. We also requested late checkout due to late night flight which was granted for the cost of 30 euro's which we thought was a fair charge. We would definitely return to this hotel and did try for September but could not get the dates we wanted, we would recommend this hotel to anyone and will try and return at a latter date. We would like to say a big thanks to all the staff at the hotel who made our stay an enjoyable one. .More
Wonderful trip in a beautiful hotel
We booked half board for a week as our first ever girls holiday without our parents. The adults only hotel meant we always had a nice, quiet, relaxing sunbathe and swim (and there was no need to reserve sun loungers). If you are younger and a bit nervous about the 'adults only' aspect, there was a nice range of all ages, we (as 18 year olds) didn't feel out of place once. The staff are absolutely lovely, reception were very understanding the multiple times I left the room key in the room. Monika's aqua aerobics were a particular highlight of each day - we were sad to leave her behind! The breakfast buffets were amazing, particularly the pastries and cakes, although I would suggest that the glasses for water and juice should be larger to save having to make multiple trips. The rooms were lovely and the design of the hotel was impeccably clean and modern. The use of the free gym, which was wonderful and never busy, was a particular highlight for me. The hotel is in a great location - a very short walk to the beach and right next door to a supermarket. Also within walking distance of many bars, clubs and restaurants. A great location for a first friends holiday. Overall, I had an absolutely wonderful stay and would definitely consider staying again if I was to return to Gran Canaria.More
Stayed here as a group of 18 year old girls, who enjoy a night out yet aren't the typical 18-30 type. The hotel is perfect for everyone, whether you are a couple, a family or a group of friends. There was a mix of different people and different nationalities, the main nationalities being British and German. -Hotel/Room Very clean and modern. The rooms were perfect for what we needed; if your idea of a holiday is staying in your room, then they may not be the best, as there is no sofa/table but they have everything you need to get ready and sleep. We were pleased that there was a mini-fridge, so that we could keep some water in there. We did not have the issue of the leaking shower, however the room to have a shower/get ready after check out did have a very leaky shower! Only criticism was that it would be nice to have some more coat hangers in the wardrobe and the wifi was slow in room (but fine by pool/reception) -Food We stayed half board, which was perfect for what we needed (but most guests were all inclusive). We had breakfast & dinner and bought an ice cream in the next door supermarket for an afternoon snack; this suited us perfectly. Although we did not do this, you can change your dinner to lunch if needed. Breakfast was great, with loads of options- you will never be stuck finding something that you like! The only issue was that there was one female chef, who was not as good as the others- she burnt our omelettes and was not very good at keeping up with cooking pancakes & fried eggs. The first night of dinner did not have much selection, so we were worried about what other nights would be like. We shouldn't have worried as they were great, with choice for everyone. If chips and pizza is your thing then you will be fine but if more exotic dishes are your thing, you will also be fine! I enjoy lots of different foods and I really loved the Mexican and Asian nights. The only criticism with food is the desserts, but they've been the same in all Canary Island hotels that I've visited. The choice is mainly mousse, cream cake things, fruit or ice cream. -Staff Staff are so so friendly, always smiling and happy to help. A particular thank you to Monika, who did the Aqua Aerobics every morning, which we LOVED! Also to the male, nighttime receptionist who was always friendly when we walked back into the hotel at 4am every morning! And to the barman at the rooftop bar, who made great cocktails, even though we arrived 5 mins before closing time. -Pools You could sit by the main pool or by the rooftop pools. We preferred the main pool, as the guests by the rooftop pool were more judgmental of a group of 18 year old girls, even though we were quiet and no trouble. There were always sun loungers but sometimes we found it difficult to get an umbrella. -Location Perfect for everything. Very near to the beach, just a short walk along promenade. Near to Kasbah/Plaza centre for shopping or a night out, yet if you go to these in the day they can feel a bit seedy, as empty (but fine in evening). It was fab having a supermarket next door, so you could just pop in and buy anything that you may need. This is no fault of the hotel's but in Playa del Ingles there are quite a few 'looky looky' men/women, trying to make you buy their tat. The best thing to do is just ignore them. -Check out Very quick and efficient. We took advantage of the free room to get showered and changed, after you've checked out. You get a 30 min slot, which works perfectly. A very big thank you to everyone at Marieta Hotel. I would highly recommend the hotel- do not hesitate to stay here.More
