Don't be put off by it's sci-if appearance!!!!!
This is quite a large hotel but because of the design you wouldn't think so. It wasn't until the 2nd day of my visit that I realised there was another half to it! This hotel is extremely well run, with wonderfully welcome staff , be it a cleaner, groundsman or receptionist. Altho' I've read some negative reports about the food, I have to say I have never seen such a huge array of very tasty food, something for everyone, and if Bucks Fizz is your tipple a plentiful supply available for breakfast! The outlook is wonderfully relaxing, with the bonus of not only the sea but a beautifully tended golf course, the benefit of being at the very end of the resort. The ariel shots really don't do it justice.More
Lovely hotel and refreshing stay
We went for 6 days in late March, full board with a sea view, but no privilege service. Temperatures were about 20 degrees with lots of sun. Firstly, the buffet restaurant is amazing - so good in fact we opted to keep using it over using the a la carte. The food is of a very good standard, there is a huge choice and each day there was something different to try. Only annoyance is there is no tap water, except at breakfast, and if you bring bottled water in, you'll get a telling off. Seems a bit mean of them, but that said, if you're not planning to drink copious quantities of alcoholic drinks, it's still cheaper to buy their still water than go all inclusive. The grounds are quite large, with lots of sun loungers, large pools and some nice bars. The pools are cool, edging on cold, but were clean and nice to swim in. I would imagine they are very refreshing when its very hot. We never got to use the spa, as apparently it's not recommended if you are pregnant, however if we went again, we would probably sign up for the privilege service, as it allowed free access to the spa (â¬20 per day otherwise) and free meals in the a la carte restaurant (with half or full board). There isn't a huge amount going on in the surrounding area, but the capital isn't too far (about 30 mins) on the local bus, which is reasonably priced. We went to the local outdoor cinema, which was a lovely experience. There is a long beach walk outside the hotel, that leads to the Lighthouse. We did sign up with a photo company at the hotel. They offered two sessions, with no obligation to buy photos which we signed up for. After the first session they put the hard sell on and tried to get us to buy some. Held our ground and managed to get the second session, after which we bought 10. Wasn't a nice experience but the photos were worth it! In conclusion, if we went again, we would have gone for half board, privilege service and not bothered with the sea view. We got more of a golf course view, so can't say it was entirely worth it! That said, the hotel and overall experience was really good, and we would recommend it to other couples, looking for a romantic break!More
Great hotel with amazing sea views. Rooms were excellent with very comfortable beds. Food was always varied and very tasty. Service from all staff was very good. Having stayed in many 4/5 star hotels I would say that this hotel served the best breakfast i have had. Pool area was lovely and no trouble getting a sunbed, even at 10am. Little bar across the road served the most delicious mojitos! Not the best beach as getting into the sea was quite dangerous as extremely rocky. No good for snorkelling. We would definately return to this hotel and have recommended it to many people.More
Just leaving this beautiful hotel. It's spotlessly clean the staff work really hard to keep it that way. The buffet is the best we've had great variety, I defy anyone to not find something they like. All the staff are very friendly & bar staff are extremely generous with pouring you drinks ! There's no small measures here . The sunbed situation great , beds still available at 11am. They are strict with the reserving beds policy & do remove towels . The only criticism is that it's just too quiet ! Needs more entertainment especially at night , once the group ends at 10.30 they play music but everyone disappears. Needs a proper nightclub. More
