These bungalows come with a bright and airy feel. There’s a ceiling fan to help you keep cool and a twin bedroom plus a lounge with 1 extra bed. Outside you’ll have a terrace for that extra bit of space. And there’s also a kitchenette where you can make quick meals and snacks.
Fantastic bungalows, great customer service, spotlessly clean in all areas of the complex, incredibly quiet and peaceful, just what you want for a relaxing break, would return time and time again, well done cordial sandy golf, keep up the good workMore
Good property but in my opinion possibly a little over-rated
We spent a week over new year at the Cordial Sandy Golf resort, and whilst we enjoyed our stay and on balance would return, I feel that overall this accommodation is possibly a little over-rated for what you get. The reason I feel this way is probably because of the higher than average cost for the stay over the new year period and a couple of issues we experienced, so I have tried to leave a balanced view of our experience at this accommodation below.
Firstly the good points: The large central pool area is a great asset to this property, spacious, well maintained tidy and water heated to a temperature that makes year-round swimming possible - important in the Canaries where the temperature can drop at night during the winter months and therefore this makes unheated pools simply too chilly to enjoy during the day. We never had trouble finding sun loungers even over the busy high season period which we visited the property. The rooms are generally well furnished and neat and tidy. The sub tropical gardens around the property are very pleasant with many varieties of plants around like a botanical garden. When functioning correctly, the snack bar is good and we enjoyed the food from there and found it to be reasonably priced and the staff member serving was good fun. Taxis are readily available on the road outside reception which makes reaching anywhere in Maspalomas or Meloneras easy. We had a couple of issues with towels not being replaced - but overall the cleaning staff were pleasant and efficient when we saw them. Wifi worked ok and was fit for purpose and free. The complex is good for those with limited mobility as it is pretty flat everywhere and the rooms have walk-in showers.
And now the points that I feel make this accommodation more average: The pool bar/snack bar was closed for a couple of days during our stay, and for around 100 GBP per room per night over the busy period between Christmas and New Year I thought this was unacceptable.. I'm not sure what the problem was.. Also when it was functioning, there was only one member of staff serving/preparing food etc, which meant having to wait for a long time to get served and pay etc. We also had some problems with towels not being replaced in our room and when we brought this to the attention of reception staff their reaction was a bit rude. Maybe they could make it much clearer how often the towels are replaced when checking in to avoid any issues with this. We felt that the cost of 13⬠for use of the safe in the room was pretty tight as well given the cost of the room, although this seems to be common practice in some countries. We were a little bit disappointed with our rooms overall.. Whilst they are clean and reasonably modern they were a little bit on the small side, and some rooms along the outer perimeter of the complex are not as good as others as they suffer from road noise a little which detracts from the pleasant gardens in the complex. The layout of the bungalows is a little bit strange too as when you look out from your terrace you look straight into a neighbouring bungalow's terrace creating a lack of privacy. So whilst there is nothing majorly wrong with the rooms, their positioning and the proximity of some rooms to road noise might not suit everyone.
Overall the complex is really pleasant and deserves all the praise it gets for the pool area and gardens, but I think our rooms let us down a little - maybe our expectations were just a little too high for what we paid to stay.More
A quiet spot close to the dunes and next to a golf course. Use the next door Cordial Golf for restaurant and small shop. Room was functional, 2 ring cooker and microwave only so not great if you want to fully self cater. Bed was 2 singles rather than a double and very hard, so not great if you are a sociable sleeper with a bad back. All on one level so great if you have mobility issues. Nice terrace with each unit with table, chairs and 2 sun loungers. Not air conditioned with ceiling fans instead. TV but no DVD player or radio. Good Wifi. We have stayed in a lot of 'timeshare' units and this was fairly average. Good warm pool with excellent large surrounding terrace with plenty of sun loungers.More
Brilliant base for a relaxing holiday
My wife and I stayed here as part of my birthday celebration.
Decore: the bungalows are simple but with all the facilities you require. Clean, simple and comfy.
Room/bungalow: you get a separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/living area perfectly suited for 2 people. The kitchen has all you need to make your own food if that is what you want. We used the kitchen every night for our dinners. Perfect.
The sofa doubles as a bed also but only as a single bed, small TV and radio are also available but why use it on holiday? The bungalow is cleaned 5 days a week and therefor always neat.
All bungalows have a large terrace area with sun beds, a table and 3 chairs.
Service: we rarely spoke or availed of the services available but when we did they were helpful. Cant really say much since we didn't have much experiences with the staff.
Price: most definitely worth they money we paid! You get a lot of bang for your buck here.
Facilities: there is a large pool area with an adjacent bar, reception area and a shop in the twin resort across the road. Little in the way of facilities as the whole resort is ment to be a self service holiday.
Golf course a 5 minute walk away.
Location: Good location but about 15-20 minute walk to the sand dunes. This in turn guarantees that you are a fair distance from all the craziness of Playa de Ingles. Another 10 minutes away you have a shopping town of Meloneras. Plenty of shopping available here.
Recommendation: Absolutely worth it. We would recommend a car as part of the holiday as this allows you full flexibility in terms of exploring the nabouring towns and area. We shopped at Carrefour 10 minutes up the road for our week. Ask for a bungalow away from the reception area.More
