Not impressed came as 3 family's supposed to be all inc although you have to pay for tv, staff are miserable can't do anything for you never refill the teacoffee in room not all inc whatsoever never again More
Stayed for 2 weeks 4 adults 1 toddler Hotel is huge! Lots of English speaking reps all staff are friendly and lovely bar 1 rude receptionist and 1 rude bar lady! Pros: rooms cleaned daily 3 pools 1 kids one my daughter loved the kids pool! Lots of food to choose from pool bar I found better at lunch toasties where a hit! Kids club staff are incredible my daughter had so much fun! 0-3 yo are â¬13 for a 2hr session our daughter is 2.5 so was a bit pricey older kids are free! Lots of local shops/ restaurants we ate at the grill and Chinese both recommended also the coffee shop was a god send for a normal coffee and a little play area for kids! I also had a spa treatment here body wrap and massage was fab! Wifi works all round hotel Cons: food is very repetitive Bottled water is not included you can fill up your bottle but that's it Construction work was on during our stay so was slightly distracting and part of the complex was closed Tv you have to pay â¬20 a week and it doesn't work well at all Entertainment is aimed mostly at kids which is fab but a bit of adult would be nice! We also visited palmitos park incredible! But take your own drinks and food as it's pricey! Aqualand I also highly recommend so much fun!! We done both for â¬48 each you can get the 45 bus outside the hotel takes you straight outside both! Overall we had an incredible holiday they'll always be negatives but only if you're really looking for them ;)! We go away every year and never return to the same place but I would return here! If you're booked to go away honestly don't worry you'll love this place More
Great one week stay
Stayed here for a week, best all inc we've been to, better then holiday villages we've been to. Room on 11th floor was big and spacious & had good views but balcony was in shade & views had pillars inbetween. Wifi was mostly good and free in most of hotel area. Three pools inc 1 x kiddies pool which had activities through the day, towels were put out early but plenty of space for beds. Towels were got from pool hut with yellow ticket. Nearest toilets were in domed building to left of pools near pool bar area. Narrow black sand beach to front of hotel surrounded by rocks which was enough for my 3 year old & pay sun beds in sand section at top if wanted. Snack bar had self serve beer & soft drinks, ice cream tubs & lollies along with pizza, burgers and salads for lunch. They put out biscuits & cakes after 3. Restaurant Nido offered a good range of foods- fried & cold meats, cereals got breakfast, rices dishes, pasta, pizza, carvery & kids stations. Rice dishes were great although you would be disappointed if you wanted burgers for dinner! Went to the " Tavern" next to the pool area for our free ala carte meal which was interesting tapas, steak or fish & desserts. Was good & made a change from the standard all inc fare! Entertainment reps really tried hard, mostly good and kept the kids entertained. Pay Restaurants, tat shops, chemist and doctors were all under 5 mins walk. Playa Las Ingles was 15min taxi ride away (â¬8). Yumbo shopping centre had a level of tat shops & then a level of jewellery & perfume shops. Beach was 15min walk away & worth spending the day, plenty of restaurants and beach was nice. Don't expect much from the beach, clean towels in room always seem to smell musty, lots of small planes flying close some days which I didnt mind & only saw 2 dead cockroaches on last day. Overall good hotel & staff in nice small resort but bigger resorts weren't too far away if required. More
Great family hotel
We stayed at the Orquidea in May as two families with children of 2 & 5. The hotel in general is fantastic- clean, spacious etc. Rooms are good & clean. Food was really good, plenty of choice at every meal in the buffet including good kids choices. Food available pretty much all day with the pool bar providing some good snacks. We found all the staff to be really helpful, so many reps around all of the time & all really friendly. Lots of daytime activities planned for kids plus kids clubs for all ages which were great to get the kids out of the hot sun for a while & also give us an hour as adults. The hotel is on a beach but it's not really usable however there are some nice walks around the hotel plus a lovely little square with shops & restaurants. We took a taxi to Maspolomas for â¬7 to go to a beach which was nice. This is very much a family hotel so for every adult there is at least one child and therefore there are kids everywhere. If you haven't got kids it's not for you, I'm a parent & I found it stressing me out eventually. The pool areas are good, large & clean. Never found the pools to be too busy though & no real need to fight for sun beds. There are often activities around he look going on but not too much to bother anyone else & not too loud. Overall there was nothing we could complain about here. A few things which weren't quite to my preference but that's just me. There's is nothing to fault here. Go for it! More
