We stayed here for a week in march Apartment was nice and big, 2 Bedrooms, lounge kitchen, bathroom and good size balcony. Negatives : Would have been nice to have more than one tv chanel bbc news kitchen could have done with more utensils and the shower flooded floor as the door i think opens wrong way apart from that all good. Pool area was nice pool was freezing ! the staff around the pool were really nice and friendly can't fault them and life guards were also nice and friendly and on the ball. reception staff are nice and security very clean cleaners are everywhere and work hard to keep the place spotless Europa shopping centre a ten minute walk up the hill and Amadores beach 15 min walk down the hill or taxi is about 3 euros to beachMore
Worked out so well
We had to book this property in a rush after we were let down at short notice by a private rental. What a good result, it was almost perfect and was probably the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We asked for a sunny balcony or terrace and were given a huge terrace which had the sun for most of the day - surprising as we booked so late. The facilities were very good apart from the lack of an iron and as we were staying for a month we managed to buy a travel one quite cheaply. On arrival, our terrace door wouldn't shut securely but this was dealt with so quickly it was amazing. The apartment was cleaned 5 days out of 7, most often by the lovely smiley Tina who never made us feel in the way if we happened to be present. Linens and towels were changed very regularly too. I have to agree with an earlier report that it is best to go uphill to the supermarket at the Europa Centre. (turn right at the main road). There is a very steep climb from the town up to the Villas but we enjoyed the challenge and certainly came home fitter! In any case, if necessary, a taxi ride is less than 3 euros. We loved the cliff walk to Puerto Rico as well. It was a bit strange that there were no instructions regarding how to use the cooker, or the washing machine and we heard several people at reception asking for help. Apart from that, the only other downsides I can think off was 1)the lack of British television, apart from BBC news, but had we only been there for a week/fortnight it wouldn't have been a problem . 2) The necessity to go to reception to use Wifi as it was really expensive to have it in your room. If only a reasonable charge was made I am sure the majority of guests would pay therefore making more money!!More
Very nice hotel!
Everything was really nice with this hotel. We loved the place and the location. Very calm and quiet, nice staff, great apartments and common areas like the pool. The beds were a bit hard and the pillow a bit... strange. Everything else was perfect!More
Perfect resort & apartment.
I'd never been to the Canary Islands before, but my stay was ideal for a week of warmth, blues skies & sunshine in late January. The South of the Island is very touristy & some resorts would have been too busy for us. But Amadores with it's immaculate sheltered sandy beach, wide promenade, few shops & good choice of restaurants suited us so very well. Las Villas de Amorades is an unpretentious looking block of Apartments, but the exterior hid our ideal modern spacious, light & airy two bedroomed suite with lots of storage & a very comfortable space. We only had a small balcony but it was a joy to breakfast in the morning sun looking down to the bay, which was 15 minutes walk down .....but a fairly steep return. The Apartments ran a courtesy bus there & back 3 times a day. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble, whatever we asked for they provided. Our rooms were immaculate & serviced five days out of the seven. I woukd definitely return to Las Villas Amadores.More

Good value, clean and friendly apartments
We had such a bargain price we were a little dubious but went with the reviews and were glad we did! We went for a week in late January. APARTMENTS Check in was easy and friendly. 20 euro deposit needed for tv and air con remote and extra key. 2 bed 'limited sea view' apartment was modern, clean and well furnished - comfy sofa and footstool much appreciated on cooler evenings! Water in the fridge on arrival. Kitchen had washing machine, large fridge/freezer, toaster, microwave and (tiny) kettle. Could have done with a few more cooking utensils but we managed! 2 good sized bedrooms (1 larger than other). Loads of wardrobe space - free safe available. Shame there were no nets or blinds behind bedroom curtains as we kept them closed all week as opened straight onto walkway on back. Didn't matter though as it's all about the view at the front! Bathroom - modern but not particularly functional. Sink was rubbish for shaving. Expensive but wide and shallow. Large shower with strange tiles/breeze blocks - bit mouldy in one corner. Least favourite part of apartment but perfectly usable. Supposed 'limited sea view' was amazing - we were on the top (4th) floor and could see over the lower apartments right down the valley to Amadores beach - beautiful. The balcony was large enough for the 4 of us but only had a table and 4 chairs (some seemed to have sunbeds). At this time of year the sun came over the balcony late morning but over the pool a little earlier. WI-FI You have to pay for wi-fi in the room but we just used the free wi-fi in reception as and when needed which was really good. FACILITIES There was a pool table, table tennis, small kids play area etc but we didn't use. The pool area was nice - plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Very strict on not allowing your own food OR DRINK around the pool which seemed a bit unnecessary when it's a self catering complex. I heard one family getting told off for having brought stuff to the poolside. We took some water in a rucksack but this all made it less relaxing. You could of course buy from the poolside snack bar. The pool was pleasant and always had a lifeguard there. The complex is very quiet - no entertainment or kids clubs so if you are looking for a lively holiday, this is not for you. SHUTTLE There is a free hotel shuttle that goes down to the beach at 10am, 10.30am and 11am and back up at 3pm, 3.30pm and 4pm. We only used it twice. SUPERMARKET There is a tiny shop on site selling basics (water, milk, bread) and if you turn right out of the hotel and go down, then up, there is a better sized shop a few minutes walk under another hotel. We discovered a good size Spar at the bottom of the big hill opposite Amadores beach but an even better one if you turn left out of the hotel, top of hill and turn right. Wished we'd found this at the beginning of the week. Also a Hyper Dino there. RESTAURANTS Along the front of Amadores beach are some lovely restaurants. Our favourite which we went to 3 times and have been to previously is Monaco restaurant. AMAZING food, friendly staff who weren't pushy or annoying, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. AREA Plenty of places to walk to - very hilly so not suitable for the frail! The daily walk down and back to Amadores beach is a challenge but we did it every day and helped to work off some of the lovely food we ate. Taxis were apparently cheap tho! You can walk to Puerto Rico along the seafront - very busy resort in comparison to Amadores - not our cup of tea. Would recommend the ferry from Puerto Rico to Mogan - a small fishing village and lovely beach. About 11 euros per adult. Hopefully this gives a fair review. All in all, a fab holiday - would definitely come again.More
