Sea views don’t come much better than at this clifftop hotel – and the infinity pool is a great place to enjoy them.
Sea views come as standard at this clifftop hotel, and there’s a courtesy bus to the beach if you don’t fancy the 20-minute walk. There are some shops, bars and restaurants a little nearer as well.
The hotel has two main pools, one of which is an infinity number. On top of the buffet restaurant, there’s a poolside place with two themed options on offer – both venues have great sunset views. And it's getting a fresh lick of paint for August 2017, so everything will look box fresh.

Hotel on a hill.
Very friendly staff, excellent service. Hotel is in need of refurbishment, bedrooms dated. View from bedroom amazing. Food selection very good waitresses very kind. Cocktails menu excellent. Would rate it a 3 star not 4. Would return.More
Had our 4th holiday here in February 2017 and, as usual, had a great time. Love the location as the height of the hotel means the sun is on the pool areas from very early, before 9am. Food is gorgeous, never had any complaints. All the staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. In particular, Evelio was extremely helpful when my husband enquired about getting to Las Palmas for a football match, he couldn't have done more forâ us. We'll definitely be returning.More

Back again after 3 years
Hotel is a bit dated now, however it is having a refit later on in April. The wife and myself were contemplating a winter sun holiday and we couldn't decide where to go, as last year we went to Lanzarote and were shocked how bad the accommodation was, so we decided to come come back to the Riu Vistamar because we knew the quality of the hotel, staff etc. To be totally honest it has not disappointed us, the food is good, the beer is free flowing, branded spirits are available at no extra cost. This hotel gives everything good food, great drink, fantastic service, great location with views that are unbelievable looking over Amardores. Value for money I think you won't beat this hotel. More

Great Family Holiday
Just returned to the UK after a great week away with the family (Six adults and three children; aged two, four & seven). Was slightly apprehensive after reading so many reviews in the lead up to the holiday but none of us were disappointed in the slightest and would strongly recommend this hotel to others in particular families. As many previous reviews state; YES the hotel as a whole could do with a lick of paint here and there and the rooms could do with a makeover. But collectively we thought the hotel was still very nice throughout. The rooms are a good size with more than enough storage space for clothes, balconies a decent size and beds comfy enough. Views from floor five were stunning to wake up to overlooking the ocean. Rooms were very clean and when requested were freshened up nicely. We were all very happy with the standard of food and selection on offer in the restaurants. All food was warm and chefs could be seen at all times cooking the food fresh. Snacks by the pool bar suited the children very well, they loved a hot dog and chips with ice cream at lunchtime and the adults were happy with pizza and a beer. The pool areas were clean and we had no trouble getting a few sun loungers together. My daughter, the youngest child enjoyed going into RiuLand and doing some colouring. The reception area was a nice area to sit and relax whilst logging on to the hotels WiFi. Lastly a special mention to all the staff whom were lovely and all made an effort to make the children smile; and the animation team on site were brilliant and so hard working. The aqua aerobics was enjoyed by my fiancée and family and we all enjoyed the evening entertainment. Have to single out the Michael Jackson tribute show as a particular favourite. As mentioned would recommend this hotel to others and would certainly return ourselves to see the results of the upcoming renovation. More
Great hotel ...great holiday
Just sat in reception whilst waiting for transfer to airport. Nothing is too much bother for the wonderful staff in this hotel. Had a lovely week with family to celebrate my birthday. The staff always have a welcome smile and the entertainment team work flat out... Yes there are a lot of steps but the hotel is on a hillside and its not a secret....you kind of expect this in puerto rico/amadores. There is plenty of food for every taste ..and plenty of staff waiting on your every need in the restaurant. The rooms are kept clean..cleaners everyday.. The lifts are slow but we were aware of that...take the stairs when possible... Hope the refurb doesnt alter this lovely friendly hotel too much. A brilliant time had by all..xxMore
