Private pools and lounger-stocked terraces come as standard at the Villas Castillo. And each property is served up with a side order of wide-angle ocean views.
Self-catering is made easy at the Villas Castillo, thanks to the good-sized kitchenettes with dishwashers and stoves. Extras like 32-inch flat screens and DVD players also kit out the living areas.

Villas Castillo in March
Myself, partner, and two sons visited Villas Castillo for 10 days during March. We were upgraded to a 4 bedroom villa, instead of the 2 bedroom we had booked. Absolutely gorgeous! And great views! Wifi! Had problems with this working. But the lady who is always at reception was a great help. Stuck to her word and got it sorted for us, even if it did take 2 days. Pool is lovely. But not heated. Kids happily got in though. If your up and outside early the pool man tends to not disturb you, but think otherwise he comes to check/clean the pool every morning. Nearest supermarket is a 20 minute walk. There's quite a few bars and restaurants surrounding this is you didn't want to walk into Caleta de Fuste (which is around a half an hour walk from villa) Maids came to clean villa and change sheets and towels twice in the week. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The walk back up the hill to the villa was a nightmare at the end of the day, but u can always get a taxi easily. We'd definitely stay there again More
WOW WOW WOW Villa with a view!
When we arrived at the airport we got a taxi. The villa is about 15 minutes from the airport and cost less than 15 euros, you can see the airport from the end of the road. The driver clearly had no idea where we were staying and dropped us on the edge of Castillo Beach Villas at a roundabout and left us at the bottom of the hill. Please don't let that happen to you, the driver must go up the hill almost to the top and stop at the reception at the first house on the right on the second road from the top on Doramas Street, if that makes sense. We managed to get some help from a receptionist in the resort and a taxi came to take us to where we were supposed to be. That was a bit of a nightmare but that is the only bad part of our holiday. We were taken our 4 bed Villa on 21 Tamonante Street. Wow, it was huge and very well fitted and set over 3 floors. Master bedroom had his and hers sinks, whirlpool bath with shower and its own terrace. There were 3 more bedrooms, 2 twin and 1 double. Large lounge diner, fitted kitchen, laundry room with washing machine, 2 more bathrooms, a pool room with 2 sofas, its own pool with sunbeds, roof terrace, and another terrace leading from the lounge diner with outdoor table. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board, towels including beach towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups etc all provided. Free Wifi. No air con though, needed to open doors and windows at night to get a breeze to cool us down. We were very surprised and very pleased with the villa as a whole. The view overlooked Caleta de Fuste and its amazing, it never ceased to amaze me whether by day or by night it was stunning. We asked at the reception for a barbecue which was given to us and we cooked on it twice during our week on the middle terrace and ate outside which was great. The pool is not large but it was perfectly adequate for us to play pool games in and cool off. The pool man came most days to clear out the pool. Our bedding and towels were changed twice during the week. A supermarket is about 15 minute walk down the hill in the centre of the Beach Villas resort, the supermarket will call a taxi for you to take you back up the hill. There are also bars and resorts there. It is quite a hill and if you have mobility problems this is not a place for you. Taxis are plentiful from the town. There are lots of bars and places to eat in the town. Pieros have live music every night, the entertainment is very good but get there early to get a table, they get very busy. We are already planning our return for next year. We loved it. It comes highly recommended. There are 2 bed, 3 bed and 4 bed villas available. I have been to some 5 star all in hotels in the past few years but this tops the lot. We only stayed for a week but next time will stay for at least 2 maybe 3 weeks.More
Really pleased with the villa we had, it was very clean and well kept. The pool was lovely, and cleaned everyday. The beds and towels were changed twice in the week we were there. It had a washing machine iron and ironing board if you wanted to use them. The kitchen had a dishwasher, oven, microwave and hob, fridge and a freezer. There was a bathroom for each bedroom so no waiting around! The view was fantastic too, Would definitely book here again. ðMore
Absolutely lovely villas, clean and comfortable. We had booked a 2 bedroomed bit were given a 4 which was even better. The pool was great, our children (3 and 2 yrs) had so much fun in it. The views were fab, stayed in villa 19, odd numbered ones seem to be the better ones. It is quite a walk down to the nearest shops but our 3 yr old managed it daily so obviously it's not so bad. Taxi back was approximately 3-4 euros which was so worth it. The only things the villas would benefit from is a little shop to get essentials and air con in the bedrooms as it was quite stuffy on a night. I wouldn't hesitate to go back here again and would recommend to anyone.More
We (myself, my wife, step daughter and her friend (both aged 13) stayed in Villa 13 from 28th March - 3rd April. We flew out of Heathrow on the morning Storm Katie hit the UK and our flight was delayed for 2.5hrs. Sadly this meant we missed our connecting flight in Madrid and we finally arrived 24hrs later than planned. We rang to explain what had happened and there were no issues arriving a day late. We had some trouble finding the villas as we had booked through On The Beach and they had given us the wrong address but once we found it we were over the moon. Its at the top of the hill so the views are amazing. It also means it was very quiet and away from the busy town area. The 2 bed villa was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very spacious. It took the girls about 10 minutes before they were changed and in the pool! It is not heated but was definitely warm enough - the weather was between 18-21 degrees whilst we were here and they were in the pool everyday even when it was very cloudy. The villa has everything you need including a good hairdryer (not those rubbish hotel ones!) which is very handy. The cleaner came every other day and gave us new towels, both bath and beach and both are a good size so no need to take your own. The pool cleaner also came once during the week. The only part of the villa that caused annoyance was that the double bed had one long pillow and not two separate ones! May seem like a small thing but annoying when you have two fidgety sleepers who like their own pillow! Someone on a previous review complained about a sewage smell but we never had any smells from anywhere. Another said it wasn't great wifi - we were more than impressed with it. Yes the signal is not as great in the bedrooms but we still managed to stream from it so we would say that it was very good. The only other thing to mention is the sun terrace access. The villa has an outside staircase that runs through the middle of the building (it's kind of hard to explain). There is a glass wall and door that locks to stop anyone getting in via the staircase but if a person was agile, they could climb over the side of the stairs (with a two storey drop) and bend under it to get to the flight below and gain access to the door that leads to the bedrooms or the door to the living room. This didn't bother me as I think you'd have to be incredibly brave and flexible to do it but the wife found it a bit worrying. The villa is way up on the hill and there is no passing traffic or passing pedestrians and we never saw anyone else up there so it certainly wouldn't put me off but thought I'd mention it. All it actually needs would be a lock on the adjoining doors. We hired a car and the drive down into Caletta de Fuste is about 5 mins. Parking is free everywhere and you can park in the side roads around the shopping area if the car park is full. We also walked both there and back one day and it took about 20-30 mins. The hill is quite steep but by no means unmanageable if it's not too hot. There is a small supermarket about 10 mins walk away or another in the main area that is well stocked and reasonably priced. The drive from the airport is about 10 mins and is one straight road so very easy! We visited the mall style shopping area called Las Rotondas one day as we had a few hours rain and that killed the time but it's not big nor does it have a massive variety of shops but the girls picked up a few bits of clothing at a good price. It's about 15 mins drive away and again parking is free. We were planning on visiting the water park but after speaking to a lovely english excursion operator, decided against it. Apparently it is pretty small, fairly expensive and is salt water which is great to spend the day in. However as we didn't go, I can't really comment! We spent a fabulous day at Oasis Park where we enjoyed seeing the animals, watching the sea lion show and wandering around the botanical gardens and it's display of 8000 cactus' (cacti?!). We drove their and it is one straight road and takes about 45 mins and again has free parking. You can get a free bus with your ticket that does various pick up/drop offs. We paid extra for the camel safari and lemur experience and I would highly recommend both. The lemur experience (â¬10 each) in particular was awesome and we spent 20 mins with lemurs running up our arms and sitting on our heads - one of the best animal encounters I've done. We also got to feed giraffes, zebras and other animals as well at no extra "experience" cost - you just have to buy the food which is â¬1.50 for a good size bag. Stock up as it's a lovely experience especially the giraffes. We also rented little motorised scooters on the beach at Caletta which were good fun for an hour (â¬15 per hour). We didn't actually go to the beach but it looked lovely - the beach is man made and looked very shallow but was very clean with toilets and lifeguards. We discovered a market on the Saturday which mostly sold knock off Michael Kors handbags! Some sellers are pushy and wanted â¬45 for them - we got them down to â¬27 which seemed ok as they are nice bags even if they are not real!! Aside from the bags there were some nice bits and pieces and worth a wander for an hour. All in all it was a lovely holiday and I would wholeheartedly recommend these villas. Lovely place to stay and lovely area to be in. More
