Fantastic Holiday... already booked up for August!!
Myself and my Partner stayed Jan 28th for one week. We thoroughly enjoyed it; infact we enjoyed it so much we've booked up to come back in August! On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, they offered us a complimentary drink whilst we checked in; you cant check into your room until 4pm and we arrived a little bit before hand but we took a seat in the bar area and enjoyed another drink. In answer to other reviews claiming that they had rules and regulations showered on them; we had no such experience. You sign a piece of paper agreeing not to be loud or disrupting at unsociable times (which is understandable) but that is about it. Our Villa was located more toward the Exit gate so it was a couple of minutes walk but we've walked further when staying in a hotel! Its all gated and felt very safe. We walked into a completely immaculate Villa, fully furnished and everything in working order- except our toaster; we reported the broken toaster straight away and someone came down to replace it almost immediately with no issues. The Villa itself is more than accommodating a far as space is concerned, kitchen is spacious enough for cooking, the dining room/ living room again was perfectly sized and could comfortably fit four people. No there is no English channels on the TV (but its not England?!) however there were some English programmes on if you were prepared to flick through a bit. There is a supermarket just 5 minutes away (10 minutes if you take a leisurely walk) out of the exit gate not the entrance!! which is reasonably priced however, if you're buying alcohol it seemed cheaper in the resort centre at the Dino supermarkets. I did see some reviews stating that they were surprised that there were no washing up liquid or scourers etc provided- they are self catering villa's so items like that you would obviously have to buy yourself but they are available for 1 euro. We left ours there for the next people. The reception also has a free shuttle bus which picks up every hour from around 10:30 until 17:30 which takes you to Corralego centre and then onto the beach. It also picks up too. If you don't want to use the free service, a taxi which the reception are happy to order for you, only costs 4- 5 euro to the resort centre. We ate at the restaurant once, it was Paella night- we paid 25 euro each and were served several tapas starters and then seafood paella. The food and wine were lovely and the amount of food served was well worth the money. They do offer the option to have the food from the AL a carte menu served to your own Villa if you do not wish to sit in the restaurant itself. We didn't use this service but may just take advantage during our upcoming stay. The staff in the bar and restaurant were more than friendly and all of the staff; Reception/ bar/ restaurant/ cleaners and pool cleaners were all friendly and said hello when they passed. They were all really attentive too. Granted the place wasn't swarming with other holidaymakers during our time but we never waited more than a moment to be served/ seen to. Any requests we made to the cleaners/ reception was dealt with straight away. The cleaners came by everyday, usually around 9-10am. All in all our stay was most enjoyable and as I mentioned before we have booked up to come back in August with our 4 year old son. If your wanting to try a Villa holiday but don't want to be miles from civilisation- or don't want your self catering villa experience to be like being at home i.e. cooking, washing etc this is the perfect place to go.More
Really relaxing holiday
We stayed at the Mirador and were really impressed. The villas are on the very edge of the town, although there is a complimentary bus shuttle a car is worthwhile. The staff are excellent and attentive, the villas modern, clean and well equipped. We ate in the Vista restaurant every other night, can particularly recommend the free Flamenco night! The food is very good, and we thought excellent value. The golf course is challenging to say the least, not for the faint hearted...... The only other thing I would add this that you make your own entertainment, there is nothing for young children on site, but ideal if you're older and want a relaxing holiday in quiet surroundings. We went to Flag beach, about ten minutes by car, probably one of the nicest beaches we've ever been on. Would I come again, most defiantly!More

We stayed in a 3 bed villa (booked 2 bed) and the villa was lovely. The check in was a bit of a mission just like everyone who has reviewed said it was. Copy of passports is normal but a copy of bank card is not usual and the staff said everywhere in Spain does this, not true. One way system to drive so although we could see and walk to our villa we had to go around the block to enter. Was told to put the car in the garage but as it was late and there was lots of gates we left it out the first night, in the morning we had 2 notes on our car saying it must go into the garage. Villa itself was absolutely beautiful everything we needed was there, free safety deposit box, bathroom on suite, shower room. Kitchen had everything except a kettle but I asked and got one within 2 mins of arriving back at the villa. The main problem was the swimming pool was freezing and I usually swim in the sea but I couldn't get my breath in the pool because of how cold it was, I didn't want to pay for heating â¬20 a day was too much and as it was very cold at night I don't think it would have stayed warm it was a shame because I love to swim. Cleaning everyday if you didn't want them to clean just tell them no thank you. The worst thing was on the day of leaving (12 midday) you had to phone reception and wait for them to come to you to do an inspection of the property I found this very uncomfortable as they had a card and could have charged for anything if they thought we had done something wrong, but because we read TripAdvisor we knew about this so my husband took photos of everywhere just incase.also there is absolutely Nothing near the villas so no evening walk for us. We did have a car and we did use it everyday to eat out.we wouldn't go back as we didn't like the island itself as there isn't really anything to see or do in less you like water sports or sand dunes. Hope this helps.More
Quiet, c!ean & efficient staff just don't go off season or you'll be cold! We asked for extra blankets which we received but could've done with more. Kitchens were fully equipped with washing machine & dishwasher. Although we had our own pool, it was just too cold to get in. Noticed electric fans so no air conditioning during summer. Wi-fi connection was ok but no English TV channels. Situated a bit out of the way & no shops nearby (takes about 15 minutes each way). Restaurant on site was a bit pricey so didn't even try it. We'd only go back if we hired a car for the full duration. Don't forget your dish & laundry detergent and dishwasher tabsMore
