We stayed here for a week in the beginning of July, very good Villas. Everything in the villa was clean when we arrived and cleaned daily, the double bed did not have its sheets changed the week we were here but that's a minor issue, our pool was not heated but was warm after sitting in for a moment, it was also cleaned every other day. We ate at the restaurant on site twice, we had dinner our first night and had one of the best steaks for many years here, the breakfast was a continental breakfast which was nice. The golf course was also used whilst our group was here and was very enjoyable, it has a few places where you need to be a good shot otherwise there are many chances of golf balls landing in other people's pool and gardens. Overall it was a fantastic week away here, all the staff were very nice and the check in process was not very long for us, 5-10 mins max. We used The shuttle once and got taxis to and from the town as we always got to the reception too late for the bus. It was €4.10 every time it seemed.More
Didn't want to come home!
Just left our beautiful villa after a perfect 10 night stay on C block. On arrival check in was friendly, fast and perfect. All usual hotel procedures were followed. The receptionist took us and our luggage to our villa which was very welcomed from a long travel. The villa was spotless with perfect views of Corralejo and the golf course. Service of all staff was brilliant, cleaners friendly and good banter with shuttle bus driver, thank you for the entertainment to the beach with our music "quiz" We loved the frozen glasses for a perfect pint of Lager at the bar, very refreshing! We didn't use the restaurant as we went to town or used the villa facilities regular instead. Reception were fantastic at calling a taxi for us on every request by simply calling from the villa prior to heading to reception, by the time we got there a taxi was waiting very efficient service. Villas are very well equipped and have everything you need to be self accommodating, like home from home. Large Mercando Supermarket 10 min walk away which we used regular. We had a slight issue with our pool pump during our stay but maintenance and reception promptly got it fixed for us within a day, so we could carry on using the pool. The only one quibble we would have would be the time of the cleaners arriving! We enjoyed our relaxing holiday and lie -ins so been woke by cleaners at 8am wasn't very welcoming some mornings! Maybe they should attend later to the guests staying over rather than been so early. Upon check out the villa was quickly checked which I see no problem with as I would presume some would leave a state. We had a perfect holiday and was all VERY SAD to leave. Thank you Mirador Resort we can't wait to return. More
6 good nights - 1 bad
Some really good positives at somewhere that ticked so many of our boxes. We travelled on a Thomson package (never heard from them for the whole trip....) and booked (paid for the maximum upgrades) to a 3 bed superior Villa for the 2 of us. We were given a 3 bed duplex townhouse - not sure if it was "superior"? Seemed "standard" to us - but had everything we needed (including a nice TV, kettle) so settled down for the week in any case It didn't have some of the things we saw on pictures when we booked "superior"..... like nice outdoor furniture, and had very "standard" sun loungers (we asked if there were any better ones - and told no). It was also short on English TV channels. The pool was also no more than a dip pool - and was also cold (having a pool cover would have been really helpful). The curtains were also the thinnest you could have got so mornings were bright early. And - it had no air con. Most of the time this was OK, but on hot nights it would have been nice to have ceiling fans to use if you closed your windows The best thing was the 6 days of peace/quiet. Nobody was either side for a few days. Then we had a very quiet couple next door. I played on the chip and putt a few times and that was good value (particularly if you'd taken your own clubs) and found everyone to be helpful and pleasant (particularly Alex in the Golf cabin) We ate there once - on Paella night. That was nice - and we also made use of the local Pizza place which is about 5 mins walk away (depending on where you are on the site - our place was nearest to the exit but furthest from Reception. Supermarket (a big one - not one of the little "convenience stores" we are used to) was a minute further on which was ideal. Town is 5 Euro's by taxi - and found better value and lots of choice for eating out (although nowhere got busy until 8pm+) But - the last day (night)...... we came back from town to find a group of teenagers had moved in next door. And.... as we were in what was effectively a semi-detached then we could hear all that they were up (until early in the morning). What a shame - that spoilt the whole week. Maybe if we'd have had the villa we'd booked then it wouldn't have been so bad - but upstairs was adjoining and what we didn't know had very thin walls and so we were kept awake until the early hours. Thank goodness they came on our last night So - on that basis alone - we can't recommend going back. Such a shame - and with a few added extras this place could be great and be perfect for us. One final thing..... checkout.... we'd read a few comments on this and you are definitely not made to feel like "customers". We were made to sit and wait whilst someone came to check that we hadn't done any damage (although cleaners had been in every day). The hotel really should look at this - not a good end to the holiday. And - given that we hadn't had Wi-Fi for 4 days (apparently a "global problem") - maybe I should have been doing a checkout for them and asking for a refund. Hope you've got to the end of this long review..... would have been a lot shorter but for our last day disappointmentsMore
Fantastic time was had by all :)
I was very pleasantly surprised by these beautiful Villas, having read a few reviews I was bit dubious but decided it give it a try anyway........boy am I glad we did! firstly....yeh you have to fill out some forms and give them a copy of a credit card, eh you need to do that in most hotels nowadays anyway so no big deal plus you are sitting in an air conditioned lounge with a complimentary drink in your hand while you do it. Staff were nothing but helpful and pleasant from check in staff to cleaning staff / mini bus driver, and at check out we phoned about half hour before we would be ready and someone not only came down to do check but also took out luggage away to reception for us!. we were in a standard villa all on one level and maybe a couple bits of furniture were a bit worn but nothing major, beds were comfy and everything was spotless. I had lost my dad not long before we came here so welcomed the peace and tranquility of the resort, pool was great to cool off in the hot sunshine, my husband who likes to cook was in his element with the barbeque lol. there is a supermarket 5 mins walk away for all your essentials, we hired a car and my only complaint which was my own fault really when putting it in the carport I didn't fasten the gate open properly and the wind blew it over as I was going in and I damaged the car which cost me 150 euros (: . we walked into resort a few times it takes about 45 mins if your a slow coach like me lol, with the hire car it was great we got to see a lot of the island and came back to chill with a meal and nice wine in the evening.....we had a few nights out down the town as well in O'Neil's....great music, Flanagan's and Murphy's all great In different ways. we have book to return in September and just about to book for next April too, happy days xxxMore

We have just returned from another holiday at the resort. Another relaxing stay but the main change from last year was that the security deposit was actually debited from your account which wasn't really made clear at check-in. Previously it was held as a pending transaction then cancelled on checkout when the villa had been inspected. With the fees, it has cost an extra £15 for nothing which is irritating. More
