Loved our holiday 😊
Me and my fella stayed for a week 10th September 2017 and I was so anxious about the holiday from reading all the negative reviews weeks leading up to our holiday here. I even called Jet2holidays 2 days before our departure because we both was very worried about our holiday. From start to finish our holiday was really good, we paid no deposit as we was with jet2 and the complex was small and no entertainment there either and we didn't have a fan in our villa for first night but overall it was really nice staying here at lobos golf and cheap taxies and also the free shuttle bus that ran ever hour. It's in a quiet location which we loved and we loved our villa. Yes it's in need of a little make over with the furniture but it didn't ruin our holiday. The cleaners came everyday apart from Wednesdays and the days we didn't want them cleaning and we had to sign a form on the days we didn't want any cleaning done. The lobby staff were lovely and helpful, I was more disappointed with Jet2holidays staff due to them waving us from the airport and didn't even come with us to our complex even tho we was told on phone a rep would be with us 😠 the hotel was a little too expensive for our liking aswell. But overall we loved our holiday and didn't want to leave 😢 we have even looked at staying here again but don't think jet2 are using this place now which was a little gutted. I hope this helps anyone travelling to mirador de lobos golf in future because we really did have a good holiday 😊More
First villa holiday
We had a nice stay here, the negative reviews had us worried, our card details were taken but no money taken off the card.., it appears this is because we booked with jet2?? It's what we'd expect so not sure what all the fuss is about booking in and out didn't take much longer than most places.... so that was a relief Cleaners came everyday except Sundays, pool guy twice a week, clean towels whenever we needed The only negatives I had was that the villa isn't fitted with air con and as a lady of a certain age I found that caused me some sleepless nights and prickly heat.., we had a fan which was noisy and did very little in such a big duplex... it's something I'd be looking for in the future the duplex was so warm inside.... lots of mosquitos apparent but the villa spacious and clean The many gates surrounding the complex could only be accessed if you had a car the only way in and out on foot was via the reception gates, this put quite a lot of time on a trip to the supermarket unless you were lucky enough to spy a car entering or leaving the complex near to your villa, which are designed in streets and rows This was a residential setting originally that had gone bust in the financial depression and is now mostly used for holiday lets.... they are quiet and relaxing to stay at....we certainly felt uninterrupted and left alone no problems at all Corralejo is a lovely place the beaches beautiful, many places to eat and drink and the shopping centres great a large beer or wine averaging around 3 euros, cheaper some places you just need to find some hidden gems the shuttle bus we used a few times but doesn't cost much more than 4-5 euros in a taxi.... mario the shuttle bus driver was a pleasant and friendly character as were all the staff The restaurant we only visited once as we arrived late, we found it quite expensive but believe it's quite a new venture so nice for a special occasion but not every day the food was average we thought We would probably return but possibly somewhere with air con and close to amenities.... our idea of a hol is to leave the car at home, so we have lived and learned this time and will research better next But still a great place to visit and don't let the bad reviews put you off if you like being left alone to do your own thing then you'll get no problems here Kathryn snd Shaun from Lancashire More
nice family villa at Mirador De Lobos Golf
We have just returned from our fab family holiday at Mirador De Lobos Golf in Fuertoventura Corralejo. 11 nights of rest & relaxation these villas are great if your a family or even a group of friends, we flew with jet2 for our holiday and it took roughly 4 and a half hours from newcastle airport to fuerteventura airport. the bus transfer was roughly 40 minutes with several drop offs at various hotels & resorts along the way, we didnt arrive at the complex until about 10pm so was a good job i had packed essentials like tea coffee water some bread buns etc to make a snack for everyone as the supermarket that is about a 10 minute walk closes at 9.30 pm & is shut on sundays,( will talk about that later) On arrival at reception you are given a form that you have to write all passport details on and also they take a copy of a credit card ( be aware some people were expected to pay a deposit of £500 which is returned to you if you havnt caused any damage on your stay) for some reason we didnt get asked to pay along with the other family who came in at the same time as us. were as other people who arrived next day were charged! so just make sure you have a way to pay if your going there to stay. we were then given our keys and sent on our way down the road with an enverlope with details of trips & the wifi code etc/ Our villa was C34 down the road and round the corner about 5 minutes walk dragging the cases behind us lol. we arrived at the gate that needs unlocking to enter your villa you have a secure garden area which is great if you have kids you know they cant go anywere, there is a secure parking area for a hire car, at the front of your villa we had a garden view which is the golf green there was also our pool and sunlounger area, on entering the villa we were pleasantly surprised, on the ground floor is a working kitchen . cooker, washer, fridgefreezer , microwave & kettle, all your cooking essentials are there pots pans cutelry all i wil say is please take your own mugs as the ones provided are egg cup size. then there is a lounge which has a tv , sofas table chairs and a shelving unit the sofa in our resort were a tad worn but still comfy french doors open to the outdoor eating area & pool , going up the stairs you arrive at the bedrooms our room was a double bed with only 1 pillow each, large wardrobe space & a small safe in the wardrobe for items that need security, ( not big enough for a tablet/ipad etc), then there was our onsuite it had a bath/shower loo bidet hairdryer, towels are provided, if they are dirty leave on floor & they will be taken but you need to get clean from reception we found that out when we ended up with none half way through the 1st week. then there are 2 more bedroom with 2 single beds in each room 1 had a large wardrobe like our room did one had no wardrobe only had small draws. as you go up another level there is a roof terrace, i feel this would of been more used if there had been any seating up there. but was a lovely view accross the golf course and towards corralajo. the wifi isnt the best on the resort as it kept dropping out and if you dont speak spanish there was only 2 channels we found on the tv one was disney kids and dmax i think it was that spoke english so take downloaded films with you that you can run through the tv for a night, to get to town we dont drive so relied on the resorts own shuttle bus that runs hourly to town and riu sand dunes/beach , the bus does its last run at 5 ish they give you a schedule for its times and mario the driver is great has fantastic english, to stock up on food we used the local supermarket which is roughly a 5 10 minute walk depending how fast you walk lol, easy to get there along a path beside the road very resonable prices, as we had to do the main shop on arrival we couldnt carry it all back so one of the girls rang us a taxi they arrive quickly & are very cheap about 4 to 5 euros to get back to the villa depending were you are in town, we walked down to town a few days from the resort it was a via an old unloved path (wear trainers) but you follow it all the way along to town, you meet lots of chipmonks & go past the sand dunes this walk took us about an hour to do at a leisurly pace. i will happely return to this villa & ask for the same number if possible as once the sun came round the corner about 11 am we had the full sun till it set so didnt pay to heat the pool which was cleaned daily, the cleaners came everyday apart from wed and sun, hope you enjoyed reading my review and have a great holiday. Very pleasent stayhere with very little to complain about
Prior to travelling we were shocked to see all the negative comments about the complex and even contemplated not going .However we decided to go on ahead and deal with whatever problems came up.We are soo glad we did go ahead because we had absolutely very little to complain about. The receptionists, maids and pool cleaners were all very pleasant. On arrival we didn't have too long to wait to get to our villa and we were never asked for our credit card details either !! The villa was spotless and maid came in regularly as did the pool cleaners. The kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed and no complaints either about the number of towels. However there was only 2 of us so I could see a problem if a family of 4/5 stayed there.Yes there was only one fan but to be honest when we travel we always bring our own fan as well as we discovered years ago most villas don't have them in abundance either !! The pool area very clean and sunbeds and pool were as well !! The only real thing we had a problem with was the electric gates. We had hired a car which meant when we got to the gates to go out or in there wasn't a problem. The problem arose if we tried to go out of the complex on foot.We had to wait in til som eone either drove in or out through the gates and then we hightailed it through the gates with them.Otherwise we were very happy with everything and as this was our 2nd visit in 2 years to this complex we will defo be back again.I would urge anyone thinking of taking a holiday here to go on ahead and judge for themselvesMore
A very luxurious resort...if it was not for the owner and his management
It's up to you: do you want to stay far far away from everything, in the middle of the desert, eating low-quality food and with a terrible built-up-at-home service? Than come and enjoy your survival here. Actually, it's the minimum you can expect: the owner is well known for not paying his employers....can you imagine how it is to spend a week there? No...you can't.More
