As my husband's birthday is in November, where best to go for sunshine but the Canary Islands? As I had never visited the island before, I choose this hotel due to the good reviews but I have to say I was a little disappointed. Before we arrived, I emailed the hotel on various occasions, trying my best to make a special birthday stay, as nice as I could. Renato responded promptly to all my requests as I wanted to pay for breakfast for my husband's birthday. We liaised for some time and things seemed to be going well but then two days before by email, I was told by another member of staff that this now couldn't be done and then I think that set the tone for the rest of the stay. The outside space is good but due to the time of year, the pool area showing the palm tree was never used as it got no sun at all. However, early in the year when the sun is higher in the sky, I'm sure you may catch a glimpse. Inside the villa is very dated indeed and I felt it needed a revamp. The hot tub upon the roof terrace is nice to watch the sun go down. The hotel is quite far out from the centre however, as previously comments say, the supermarket is within easy reach. We were only there for four nights and enjoyed going to Campanario for a coffee and a bite to eat. They are a couple of nice eateries. This has more of a Spanish feel although still feels newly built. Personally, we won't be going again, it wasn't for us but if you want some winter sun and short stay it's ok.More
The villa was truly luxurious and everything we wanted in our trip away. We would recommend it to anyone. A little quiet at this time of year but the standard of villa was exceptional. We were looking for five star luxury and were not disappointed at all. More

Excellent Villa Complex
We spent a week here at the end of January, having booked a Secret Escapes deal. The company Bahiazul offers about 60 villas on a complex of 150 of which a few are privately owned, a few are let by other companies and a few others are vacant. The vacant properties caused us no problems at all, in fact we had vacant properties either side of ours and in truth they just added to the privacy that these villas offer. Our Garden Premier Villa was spacious and newly refurbished with fully fitted kitchen and excellent facilities. Pool and ground floor sun deck are very private and shielded from the wind that can be strong in Fuertaventura. Upper sun deck is the villa roof and is huge with Bali bed, sun beds and jacuzzi, which takes at least 2 hours to warm up. We paid E154 for pool heating which got the water to the legal maximum of 26C. We felt this was worth it as it made the pool usable. Car parking is in a carport at the side of the villa. We ate at the restaurant on a half-board deal. Very good food which, unusually for half-board deals, included beef fillet steak every night. Breakfast also very good. Location is on the outskirts of Corralejo and a long walk from beach or town. We found the car we had hired in advance very useful. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked (direct with Bahiazul) to return in September.More
